Marinette, Adrien and Master Fu were at his massage parlor home. The curtains were closed. They were in a room sitting in a circle with a candle in the middle, deep in meditation and chanting softly under their breath. The chanting was soft, and in a language that only the Guardians ever spoke. As they chanted, you could swear the trio glowed. Fu chanted as a green glow surrounded him and he lifted off the ground, levitating.

Adrien glowed green but he didn't fly up yet, and Marinette was covered in a magenta glow. The wind that whipped up became stronger and nearly blew out the candles, the trio still chanting, as Marinette briefly lifted an inch from the ground…but immediately fell down again as she sweated and panted.

"Whoa, Mari!" Adrien said. "You actually managed to lift off the ground briefly."

"It wasn't long enough…" Marinette noted.

"It is one of the most difficult aspect, achieving spirituality. I myself have not been able to complete it with the Order, and I only can do a few small things. I had to figure out a lot of it on my own. You managed to figure out aspects of the Miraculous even I wasn't able to discover. So once you master the basics, I'm sure you'll be able to do more then any Guardian before did." Fu noted. Fu breathed panted heavily. "I think we better quit for today." Fu pulled out a flask and drank what was inside. "I'm almost out."

"I can whip up a new batch of potion…" Marinette noted.

"No." Fu said. "This is my last dose. I can't keep extending my life needlessly. It is more painful for me and…the old ways must die with me. My time should have come long ago. So I use the last time I have to teach you the last techniques."

"It won't be the same without you." Adrien noted.

"No. It will be better." Fu said. "I haven't been moving forward enough since I was stuck living in the past. I took to long to find successors, and I made too many wrong choices. Now I finally made the right ones…" Fu said as he put his flask away.

"But when we face Mahamayuri…you won't be there." Marinette said.

"Yes. But it was never up to me to defeat her for good. Both she and I…we should have died back then. The Order should have been gone, and something new should have risen up. But that was belated due to mistakes on all sides. I no longer have the youth and power to make the difference. I can only pass on the last knowledge." Master Fu said.

Fu had noticed the two looking sad. "Don't cry. I have lived a long time. And I have had time to enjoy a few joys in life. Pride as a teacher in how the students have surpassed the master. Some of those students I couldn't care more for as if they were family by blood. And I even at my age have still known the joys of love. I know the world is in good hands. I have very few regrets left." He assured them.

At that point, Marianne came in. "I heard the chanting stop, so I thought you were done. I got the tea. You know, the one that tastes like sewage water, but is better then a dozen coffees."

"I could use a boost." Marinette noted. She accepted the tea, knowing how awful it tasted but it has been helpful. She had once received a stern talking to from her boyfriend and parents for using it to pull an all-nighter.

"You think we can win from her?" Adrien asked.

"I know you will. It will not be easy, but I'm sure you'll pull through." Master Fu assured them.

"But…do we have to defeat her? Is there no way to save her?" Marinette asked.

Fu sighed. "I want to say yes…but I haven't seen her in a century. I don't even know how she survived, how long she was out there, and what she has gone through. I am not sure if she is the same. And if there is anything of the old her left. I fear that with both my passing and her final defeat, the old finally ends completely."

Marinette sighed. "It's what I feared."

"We can't save everyone Milady." Adrien said, putting a hand on Mari's shoulder. "But we have a responsibility to the world."

"Well, we know it isn't always easy." Marinette drank her tea and made a disgusted face. "Oh god, it gets worse every time."

This got a chuckle out of all of them. Even more so when Adrien made the same disgusted face after his tea. However, it was all the time they had for the day, and had to return home. They'd meet for another lesson tomorrow.

"You know, we still have time for a walk to the park." Marianne said as she put her hand on Fu's shoulder.

"I would like that." Fu said. He had trouble getting up, but Marianne managed to guide him towards his wheelchair. The two of them would go to the park, walk around, take in the sights, and then watch the sunset together. It wouldn't be long, but they would make most of the time together they had left.

Lysander was in his room. He has been for over a week now. Only leaving for showering and the toilet. His food was brought to his door. He spent all day marathoning his favorite comedians…but even after 'Harry Clown's Why People Are Idiots' he wasn't laughing. The same sullen look on his face. The events of the last few weeks have weighed on him. And he didn't know how to feel.

Was he mad? Not really. He was disappointed with his uncle perhaps, but he wasn't really mad. Sad…maybe? He didn't like the truth being kept from him, but he didn't mourn the man whom conceived him. Was he feeling pity for himself perhaps? That seems plausible, as he has been in here for a long time…his room hadn't been properly aired or cleaned, and the only thing he kept clean was his body.

Is this what he's going to do now? He can't do this for the rest of his life. He knew that, he thought he'd just do it until Paris' final enemy was defeated. But it already felt too long. Since he couldn't bring to enjoy his favorite show, he paused it, started to pick off the clothes of the floor and putting them in the laundry basket, putting empty cans and food wrappers in the trash and opened up his window to air it out. And as he looked outside…he stared in the distance. His friends weren't around and he wasn't talking to his uncle at the moment. Even his uncle's fiancée on the rare occasions he passed him on his way to the bathroom, he just said 'hi' and that's it.

He was done feeling useless though. His friends were gearing up for a big threat and he was in here feeling sorry for himself. And his uncle was already doing a lot of beating himself up for his mistake, but he can't be mad forever at the man whom raised him since he was a baby. He needed to get it together. So he opened his bedroom door, for the first time in days not for a sanitary break or to pull in the plates of food or cans of drinks. He walks down the hallway and peaks his head through the dining room door. His uncle busy at the stove, getting a pot that has been kept warm and put it on the table. He finally noticed Lysander watched and jerked up; "Oh, er…Hi, Lys? Anything you need?"

Lysander didn't speak up immediately. He waited a minute and said: "I think as of today I want to eat at the table again with you." He said.

Sebastien's face briefly curled up in a smile with his eyes shining with unshed tears, but he composed quickly. "That's…that's great. So…where do we stand?" he asked his nephew.

"I don't want to keep this up. I think you are hurt enough about that mistake but…In the end, Latombe is out of my life and I still have the person whom I thought of as a dad my whole life right here. I want to keep it like that." Lysander said with a small smile.

"So…we good?" Sebastien asked unsure.

"Sure Unc-Dad. We're good." Lysander said.

"That's great. Just great." Sebastien said, emotion clear in his voice, but his movements still awkward and nervous. "So…what are you doing next?"

"You're not the only one whom I need to talk to. My friends, the ones that were busy, they're working on something. I thought I already did my stake, so I could take some distance from what had happened but…I was running away and isolating myself. They need my help. I…went back before the time that I saw Juleka, before I had friends. I don't want to go back."

"You know, I'm glad you have friends, and a social life. You had bloomed as a person, Lys and…It hurt me seeing you distance yourself. I'm glad you are doing better and…" Sebastien just pulled his nephew in for a hug. "Oh, this was sudden. Is this ok?"

"This is ok." Lysander noted as he returned the hug. "Love you, dad."

"Love you too, son." Sebastien said. It felt great calling Lysander that. He broke the hug. "Er…I made your fav. Meatloaf and buttered noodles. I don't know why I felt like making it today, maybe it was a sign?"

"Who knows? Anyhow, I'm getting plates and cutlery." Lysander said.

"I'll get the ketchup." Sebastien replied.

For now, everything was right with the two.

"All right people, time for training. The day of the final battle grows closer. We are all getting stronger, which makes me all proud of you, but there is always room for improvement." Ladybug said as she gathered with the other wielders on the Training grounds.

"Let's start with some sparring, let's split in pairs, one on one…" Chat Noir added.

Though there was a small interruption when someone had a question. "Room for one more?" All of a sudden, Lysander stood there. "Er…hi guys? Sorry that I…took a while to sort out my issues. But I realized you need all the help you can get and it's crappy of me to ditch you like I did and…"

He was suddenly tackled in a hug by his teammates. "Glad to have you back on the Team, Lys." Tigresse said.

"You'll have some catching up to do. Really have been put through the wringer the past few weeks." Eryer said.

"Don't worry, we'll go easy on you. The others not so much." Pink Prominent noted.

"All right, give him some space." Ladybug said as they let Lysander go. "Besides there is someone else whom wants to see him." Ladybug pulled out something from her yo-yo, the Lion Miraculous.

Lysander eagerly took it and in a flash of light, Aslaan appeared. "It's good to see you again, cub. Now, ready to rejoin the Pride?"

"Yes…Enough wallowing in self-pity, enough being tied up with the past, we have a future to ensure. And I'm ready to work hard and achieve it." Lysander said.

"Then say the words, cub!" Aslaan encouraged him.

"Aslaan, Eat the Sun!" and within a moment, Lysander turned into Leo Major. "And let the training begin."

"Welcome back into the fold, soldier." Chat Noir noted. "It is time for boot camp now."

Lysander/Leo Major may be in for a rough day…his joints would ache, he'd be bruised and sour all over, but it would be a satisfying training day.

The training day came to an end, and mostly everyone has packed up to leave. Only Ryuko stood there, practicing a few stances with her sword. Even swiping the sword slightly whipped up a noticeable burst, made the air around humid and made sparks visible.

"Are you not going home yet?" Marinette asked, she stood there with Adrien.

"You haven't left for home yet?" Ryuko asked.

"We are always the last to finish up, make sure that the place is still standing after every training." Marinette explained.

"Yeah, because with the power we wield, if it wasn't for Mari's powers of fixing everything we'd have lost our training ground a thousand times over." Adrien noted. "So, why are you staying late?"

"Just practicing some moves." Ryuko stated.

"It was a long day, don't you want to rest for a bit, relax?" Marinette asked.

"I wouldn't know how. Everyone has been training so hard they don't plan on doing much after each training day. And without anyone to hang out, and me and Lysander…well, we still remain friends but I haven't been able to distract myself with romance either. If that's what we had even was called. And Mother has loosened up my schedule but…at the moment I don't know what to do with myself." Ryuko admitted.

Marinette and Adrien looked with a little shock and pity at her. They looked into each other's eyes. They nodded at each other, like they knew what one another wanted to say. "Say, me and Marinette…Normally we were to relax and hang out. You want to come with?"

"What?" Ryuko asked. "But you are boyfriend and girlfriend, wouldn't I get in the way of your…boyfriend-girlfriend time?"

"We had plenty of dates and we'll have many more in the future." Marinette assured her.

"Besides, when we feel one our friends need our help, we can drop everything to help them out. And you look like you need some cheering up." Adrien assured her.

"Oh…" Ryuko said with a small blush. "That is…kind of you. But I don't want to be a burden."

"A friend should never be a burden." Marinette noted as she put an arm around it. "So get out of the Spandex and join us for a night out in town."

Adrien put his arm over Ryuko's other shoulder. "We can't stand to see a friend of ours sad. We'll give you a reason to smile."

Kagami blushed a bit more. "Thanks guys, you…are great friends. So, where do you plan to go?"

"Just a movie and some dinner. Though we may forego the planned rom-com and fancy diner for something else." Adrien noted.

"Or should we?" Marinette noted. "You don't have to date to enjoy rom-coms. And diners are not only for dinner dates."

"Er…" Ryuko stammered and blinked a few times. "Fine by me. Sounds…pleasant. I don't think I ever saw a… 'rom-com' before? I wonder how inaccurate true romance is portrayed in these type of movies."

"Horribly. Because we learned that broom closets are not good make out spots for one thing." Adrien noted.

"I got poked in the eye with his nose." Marinette added.

Ryuko chuckled. "Not very. I guess we best go before we miss it."

"Gami, suit?" Marinette noted.

"Don't worry, I think my normal uniform is formal enough…" Kagami noted.

"You're still Ryuko." Adrien added.

"Oh." Ryuko noted. "Longg, Open Skies." She turned back into regular Kagami. "So, movie?"

"Yes, movie." Marinette said.

With that, the three left to enjoy their evening. And something told Kagami it would be more enjoyable then she thought it would.

Next chapter is the sort of Adrigaminette date, then probably one more chapter before the grand finale arc.
