Disclaimer: By now I'm willing to bet you're as tired of this as I am. I don't own anything you recognize. What you don't recognize is most likely mine.
Note: I know I got the same part on the twice sorry for the screw up. I honestly don't know what happened anyway here is the real part 5. And I'm sorry for the delay. I've been trying to upload this for awhile but my computer isn't working right.

O'Neill's gun shots echoed of the walls. The crow in front fell, as did the ones behind it. O'Neill turned around to the others. "So now what?"

Before any had the chance to answer him, there was a blinding flash of light. The next thing they knew, the team was standing back in the dessert facing the Stargate about 20 feet away. The crow circled right above the Gate.

"Alright everyone, back inside." O'Neill said and turned heel and ran back to the temple the rest of his team following close behind him. Once reaching it's safety he turned to the rest of his team. "So, what's our best bet?"

"I say we just make a run for it," Carter said.

"And if it gets us again?" Daniel asked.

"Think about it. We can't really get ourselves in a worse situation."

"She's right. Our situation can't get any worse. If we end up there again, we know have to get ourselves out," O'Neill said. "Look I know this didn't work last time, but what ever you do, just keep shooting at it. Maybe we can keep it distracted."

The team stood near the door of the temple. "On my mark. Go!" Sg-1 run down the stone steps of the temple, guns held high.

The shots pierced the air as the oncoming crow was caught in a hail of bullets. The bullets impact only swayed the crow as it continued it current path toward SG-1.

At less than 50 feet from the Gate, with Daniel and Teal'c in the lead, the crow made it's move on Carter. O'Neill pushed her from behind sending her to fall face first on the ground before throwing himself on top of her. He knew within moments he would feel the crow's talons raining down on his back. But the never came.

O'Neill rolled off Carter and looked to see the crow rising into the air again. He lifted his gun and fired. The crow fell to the ground dead. Daniel and Teal'c ran over. Jack lifted his hand and pointed to the motionless crow on the ground.

"What the hell was that?"

"Of course it all makes sense now." Daniel said.

"What does?"

"The crow represents evil. It knows know good. When you threw yourself between the crow and Carter, it recognized that as a sign that you were willing to die to save your friend. That was its weakness.

"Ahh."

"I don't know why I didn't think of that before."

"Yeah well it's settled. Daniel dial up we're going home." Jack said getting up.

"Sir?"

"Carter?"

"I...thanks."

"No problem."

The Gate activated with a large whoosh. Carter sent the iris code through. SG-1 walked up the stone steps and into the event horizon.
