"In third place is the Unitards!" We are on stage and everyone is nervous on who will win "In first place...your winner is...From Lima, Ohio! THE NEW DIRECTIONS!"
We all cheer and hug after that announcement. We beat them and we earned that win. I look at vocal adrenaline expecting respect. Instead we are completely blindsided.
"We poached unitards best singer and messed up their set list!" Jesse stomps toward the announcer angrily "How did we lose?! We sang better than them hands down!"
"Excuse me but did you just admit to cheating?" Jesses eyes go wide and his mouth just continues to move like he is finding something to say "Well you were just disqualified! Unitards you get a second place bye! Thank you all for coming!"
"No!" Jesse storms forward and grabs the trophy "You all will be rolling in the deep before I lose!"
Security starts to move but Rachel stops them. She goes to the band and says something before coming back. She slowly approaches Jesse who looks mad. She secretly points to us as the music starts.

She hugs him as everyone just watches. Watches a man with so much promise crash. He could have been a star. But now he has lost his shine.
He seems to have lost everything.
"Let's go" Rachel helps him up and we leave the stage "You should get help Jesse"
"I will" He sighs and looks at us "Sorry about everything"
"You are fine jesse" Shelby hugs him "We will be here for you when you come back"

With that he heads his way and we head ours. We have somethings to get ready for now. Christmas and a birthday. I can not wait to surprise Rachel.
Things hopefully go uphill for all of us from now on.
