Roxanne woke and laid in bed. She was getting married today. It brought a smile on her face as she thought that she was getting married because she is marrying the man that stole her heart many years ago. She never thought that they would make it here after he broke up with her. She felt that she was in a fairy tale, and she was finally marrying the prince after the evil wizard tried to stop them from getting married in the first place.
She never thought that Owen Macmillan would turn out that way. He had his trial in the beginning of the new year and he was sentenced to life in prison because he murdered Thomas Goyle and the four attempted murders on his record. Roxanne and Hector had to testify along with Scorpius and Jason. Jason didn't have to do it, but he wanted to. They didn't like that he tried to kill a child. Roxanne knew that Scorpius and Rose put Jason in therapy after all this and it seemed that Jason was doing very well.
Someone started to knock on her door. "Come in," Roxanne watched as Lucy poked her head in.
"Are you awake?" Lucy asked.
"Yeah," Roxanne watched as Lucy came in the room.
Roxanne was glad that she got to make it to Lucy's wedding. The wedding was beautiful, and her cousin was very happy about marrying Derek. Roxanne knew that they were trying for a baby, and she hoped that it happened for them.
"Are you ready to marry Hector?" Lucy asked.
"Yes," Roxanne threw off her blanket and got out of bed. She made her way to the window to see that it was sunny for this June day. She could see that people were setting up for the wedding in the garden.
Roxanne and Hector were getting married at their new home. After they agreed that this was going to be their new home to grow their family, Hector and Roxanne remodeled the house. The house was modern with showers.. Roxanne was in the main bedroom while Hector was in another wing of the house. Their family was taking up a lot of rooms also. They had kept the flat in London because they were going to need it with both their jobs.
"Alright," Lucy said from behind her. "You go and shower while we get breakfast ready and brought up here. Rose and Lily will be coming in too. Lucy was her matron of honor while Rose and Lily were her bridesmaids. Roxanne also knew that her family were going to come in and out of the room all day until the wedding.
Roxanne waited until Lucy left before heading for the bathroom to shower. She sighed under the water. She was glad that they remodeled the house to work for them. Roxanne spent a good half an hour in the shower until she heard the voices in her room. She knew that her cousins were in the room with breakfast.
Roxanne got out of the shower and threw a robe on before heading out to the bedroom. She put on some clothes before heading to the sitting room that was apart of the master bedroom.
"There is the bride," Dom said. Roxanne laughed and realized that it wasn't only her bridal party but the rest of her cousins.
Roxanne bowed and it had all of them laughing. Roxanne found a spot around the sitting room. Someone handed her tea and a plate of food.
"I can't believe that this day is here," Rose said. "After Roxanne the only one we need to get married is Lily," Rose glanced at Lily, who rolled her eyes.
"Brett and I will get married when we are ready," Lily took a sip of her tea. "We are happy where we are."
"You tell them," Lucy said.
"And when are the babies coming?" Molly asked her sister. Roxanne smiled because she was the only one that knew that Lucy and Derek were trying for a baby.
"When we are ready," Lucy smiled at her sister.
"I want to hold a new baby again," Vic said.
"Me, too. Parker is two now," Dom said.
"I'm good," Rose said. "I don't need to hold a new baby." Everyone laughed and turned to Molly to see what she would say. A blush appeared on her face. "No." Rose said. "Are you…"
Molly nodded. "Yes, Sam and I are having another baby early next year," Everyone congratulated her.
"I'm also sure that the boys are making babies too," Rose said. "I know that Louis and Miranda are pregnant, and James and Gail just had a baby." Rose rolled her eyes. "I think that there will be plenty of new babies to hold."
"Someone is done having babies," Dom turned on to Rose.
"Yep, I have four and am done," Rose threw up her hands. "I'm just waiting until we can send them to Hogwarts."
Roxanne traded a look with Lily. "How much you want to bet that Rose and Scorpius are gong to have one more?" Lily grinned at Roxanne.
"That is an unfair bet because you know that they are," Roxanne smiled at her cousin. Lily only raised her eyebrow. Roxanne sighed. "Five galleons," Lily held out her hand for Roxanne to shake. Roxanne gladly took it.
There was a knock on the door and Angelina popped her head. "The hairdressers are here and ready to start." She smiled at the women.
"That is our que to leave," Vic got up with Molly and Dom. "The next time we'll see you is when you are walking down the aisle," Roxanne nodded and watched her cousins leave. They had an enjoyable morning now it was time to really get down to business.
The hairdressers came in and set up. They did Roxanne and the others hair before it was time to change for the wedding. Roxanne took a breath as she stepped into her wedding dress. It was something magical and knew that it was hers when she saw it in the window when she was out shopping with her mom. Her mom was glad for the moment to spend with Roxanne and no one else. Roxanne also knew that Hector was going to die when he saw her in the dress.
She stepped out and there were gasps all over the room. "You look beautiful," Her mom said. Angelina came in after the hairdressers left to help with the dresses.
"Thank you," Tears came to Roxanne's eyes.
"Don't cry or you'll ruin your make-up," Lucy tried to laugh but there were tears running down her face.
"You'll make yourself single even before you say I do," Lily joked.
"That's the point. She wants to knock him off his feet," Rose smiled.
Roxanne looked at her bridesmaids and was glad that they were here. She couldn't see getting married without them. "I would like him to live long enough to say I do." Everyone laughed.
Angelina smiled at her daughter and nieces. "It is time for pictures."
Roxanne nodded and followed her mom out of the room. They made their way downstairs to the side garden where the pictures were going to be taken. They met the groomsmen there. Roxanne saw how handsome they looked in their blue dressrobes. Scorpius' tie was a little different from the others. There were hints of purple in it to match the bridesmaids' dresses.
"You look beautiful, Roxanne," Fred came over and kissed her cheek. "Hector is one lucky man."
"Thank you, Fred," Roxanne pulled her brother in a hug.
They took several pictures together before the boys and Roxanne went off so Hector could take pictures with the bridesmaids. Roxanne sat in one of the sitting rooms, waiting for the first look she was going to have with her father. George never saw the dress, but he was ready to walk Roxanne down the aisle to the man of her dreams.
"Ready, Roxanne," Roxanne looked up to see her mom there. Roxanne nodded, stood, and followed her mom to the gazebo where her father was waiting for her.
George was standing in the gazebo with his back turned away from them. "George," Angelina said. George turned around and saw his daughter standing there.
Tears came to George's eyes. He gave a watery smile. "When did you grow up into this beautiful woman?" George asked as he made his way down to her.
Roxanne leaned up and kissed her father on the cheek. "Some time between five and now," It made her parents smile.
"Are you ready to marry this young man?" George asked. He always liked Hector and was glad to be calling him his son.
"Yes, Dad," Roxanne could feel the tears again.
"Don't cry or you'll make me cry," George took Roxanne's hand. He turned to Angelina. "Our baby is getting married."
"I know, George," Roxanne could see that her mom was close to tears too.
Roxanne held out her other hand for her mom to take. Angelina took her hand and Roxanne pulled her parents in a hug. They stood that way for a while and didn't say anything. Roxanne broke the silence with, "I love you."
"We love you, too," Angelina kissed the top of Roxanne's head.
Someone behind them coughed. George looked up to see the wedding planner. "It's time," It was all she said. George nodded and pulled away from his wife and daughter. George took Roxanne's hand and placed it on his arm. Angelina went before them to take her seat.
George led Roxanne to the waiting area. Roxanne saw her bridesmaids there. Lucy handed her the bouquet. Roxanne watched as one by one went out. Before Lucy went out, she hugged Roxanne one more time. The music changed.
"Are you ready?" George said.
"Yes," Roxanne placed her hand on his arm.
George and Roxanne stepped on to the aisle and everyone was watching them. Roxanne didn't notice them because her eyes went straight for the man that was standing in front of her. He was in dark blue dressrobes and there was a big smile on his face as he watched her make her way to him.
It felt like forever until she made it to him. The witch that was doing the service smiled at George. George placed Roxanne's hand into Hector's hand. George nodded before taking his seat next to his wife.
"Thank you for coming…" The witch said.
Roxanne didn't catch the words that she was saying because she couldn't take her eyes off of Hector.
"Do you Hector Zabini take Roxanne Weasley as your wife?"
"I do," Hector smiled down at Roxanne and placed a ring on her finger.
"Do you Roxanne Weasley take Hector Zabini as your husband?"
"I do," Roxane placed a ring on Hector's finger.
"Then I bound you for life," the witch did a spell and bonded Roxanne and Hector together. "You may kiss the bride," Hector leaned down and kissed Roxanne. Cheers went up after the kiss.
Roxanne and Hector turned to face the crowd, and everyone started to clap. Roxanne started to laugh, and Hector followed her. Hector took her hand and led her down the aisle again away from their friends and families.
"May I present Mr. and Mrs. Zabini," The band leader said.
Hector and Roxanne walked into the garden to see that all their guests were sitting around the tables. Everyone started to clap as Hector and Roxanne made their way to the head table where their bridal party was sitting. They stopped, turned back to their guests, and bowed before their guests. The guests kept clapping as they made it to their chairs. They didn't sit right away.
Hector put his wand up towards his throat. "Roxanne and I would like to thank everyone for being here to celebrate the best day of our lives," Hector looked at his new wife and everyone could see how much he loved her and how she felt about him. Hector and Roxanne took their seats before food appeared on the plates.
After the food disappeared, Scorpius stood. "I want to thank everyone for coming," He looked at Hector and Roxanne. "It is time for my best man's speech," Scorpius turned back to the crowd. "I know tell you some stories of Hector and I'm sure that Lucy could tell you the same thing," Everyone laughed. "I have known Hector since we were in nappies and again I sure that Lucy could say the same about Roxanne," Again everyone laughed. Scorpius continued with his speech about Hector and Roxanne and their love through his eyes. "To Hector and Roxanne," Scorpius raised his glass of champagne. Everyone raised their glasses and took a sip of their drinks.
Hector led Roxanne to the dance floor for the first dance after the speech and everyone was watching them as they dance their first dance as a married couple. No one said a word as they danced. After the first dance, Roxanne was taken by her brother and danced with all her cousins while laughing.
Before she knew it, it was time for the father/daughter dance. Her father led her to the dance floor. Roxanne was worried that her dad would play a prank while dancing with her. He didn't. Halfway through the dance, other fathers and daughters got on the dance floor. It was cute watching fathers with young daughters dancing. It made Roxanne look at her own father.
"No prank," She said.
George laughed, "I promised your mother that I wouldn't ruin your day," There was a look in his eyes that had Roxanne worried that he had something planned anyway.
The dance ended and Hector was by her side again. Roxanne threw him a look. "Are you supposed to dance with your mother now," Hector moaned and went to find his mother.
Roxanne watched as Hector danced with his mother. She could see tears running down Daphne's face as they danced. She watched as her brother danced with their mother and her cousins danced with their mothers. She even saw Jason ask his mother to dance. That boy was growing into a good young man.
The dance ended and Hector was by her side again. Roxanne lanced her arm through his and led him to the guests to thank them for coming. Roxanne came across her friends from New York.
Monique hugged her. "We are happy for you. That you finally got your head out of your ass and married the man," Roxanne rolled her eyes at Monique.
She hugged Tiffany and Jo-Ann. "Thank you for coming."
"We wouldn't miss this for the world," Jo-Ann said.
"Yeah, this is the right man for you," Tiffany threw Hector a look. "You better take care of our girl."
Hector knew the women and smiled. "Don't worry I will."
Roxanne talked to them for a moment before moving on to the next guests. After greeting all the guests Roxanne needed a moment to sit. She and Hector found a spot and watched their guests dance and talk about the wedding.
"Are you happy with how the day went?" Hector asked her.
Roxanne reached for his hand. "Yes, I'm married to the man I love," She reached over and kissed him.
"There is one more surprise for the couple," The band leader said. "If everyone would turn towards the lake," Everyone turned for the lake. The first firework went off into the night sky. Roxanne watched as the fireworks went off with Hector holding her hand. This was her father's surprise.
The fireworks ended and Roxanne knew it was time for Hector and her to go on their honeymoon. Hector smiled at her as he brought out the portkey that was going to take them on their honeymoon. Roxanne looked at the guests. "Thank you for coming and I want you out of my house by the time I come back," Roxanne said. Everyone laughed as Roxanne touched the portkey.
And they started the rest of their lives.
