Here we are at Chapter 31. It's time for more fun and... yeah, I got nothing else for that right now. It's time for more RWBY KEPL Chibi! I do not own RWBY. They belong to roosterteeth. I only own my OCs. Here's chapter 31. Enjoy.
Chapter 31: Fluff is Best
Skit 1: Scythe Style
In one of the classrooms at Beacon, Edom and Qrow stand before the podium until Ruby zips by.
"Um, Ruby, why are we here again? And why did you want us to bring our weapons?" Edom asks.
"I'm sure it won't be so bad," Qrow notes before taking a swig of his flask.
"Because we three are the only scythe wielders in all of Vale, and I wanted to take this rare chance to examine and compare our scythe weapons to see which is the best. Though, personally, I will always think that my sweetheart is the best. Isn't that right, my dear Crescent Rose," Ruby starts rubbing her cheeks against her weapon.
"Can I assume YOU had something to do with her liking weapons so much," Edom stares flatly at Qrow.
"This she got from her father," Qrow replies.
"Anyway, let's switch our weapons around and give them little test runs first. Come on, I want to try out your weapons now!" Ruby claps her hands.
The boys shrug their shoulders, but give up since Ruby won't budge. Edom ends up taking Qrow's weapon while Qrow gets Ruby's and Ruby gets Edom's weapon. Edom engages the sword mode and makes a few practice swings.
"Well, this would come in handy if you wanted more than one close-range weapon to use from. Though, I'm not too well-versed with sword-type weapons. Scythes have always been my forty," Edom swings the sword around.
"That's because some fights require something different. Trust me on that one. Besides, I like to save my good stuff for when the situation actually calls for it," Qrow replies before inspecting Ruby's scythe. "Hmm, I see you've modified it a bit since I last saw it. I remember when you first made it back at Signal. It wasn't as cool or as heavily customized back then, but it was still a lot better than a lot of my other students when they were making their own weapons," Qrow sticks the blade in the ground and takes careful aim at a target before pulling the trigger and hitting the target. "Accuracy's good, though not really my style,"
Meanwhile, Ruby checks on Edom's twin scythe, twirling it around, "Man, think of all the uses a set up like this could have. I wonder if I could do something like this with my scythe, but with two sniper barrels; one at each end... That might be a little hard to separate the firing mechanisms for them though," Ruby separates the scythes. "This is so much fun. Your weapon is so cool, Edom. It just needs a gun on it and it would be fantastic-Oh!" Ruby accidently hits the trigger that fires off the hidden knife within and almost takes her eye out. "Or not..."
They switch weapons again, with Ruby getting Qrow's, Edom getting Ruby's, and Qrow getting Edom's. Ruby and Edom have little trouble with testing out the weapons they have, though Ruby isn't used to fighting with a sword so using Qrow's weapon in its sword form is a little hard for her. Meanwhile, Qrow takes a few swings with Edom's twin-scythe, though it feels awkward to him.
"How do you even use this thing, Edom. It feels wrong having the second blade back where it could accidently hit your backside," Qrow says.
"Welp, that's only if you don't have the skills to wield it properly, old man," Edom retorts.
"Why you little-," Qrow gets peeved by the remark, which throws his focus off, and the back blade ends up getting stuck in his cape. "Hey-what-ah! I'm stuck. I can't... Whoa, whoa!" he then ends up firing off a hidden blade, which gets stuck in the wall before the line reels in and pulls Qrow straight into said wall. "Ow..."
"I think we should just stick with our own weapons, Edom," Ruby says as they stare at her uncle.
"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea," they quickly return each other's weapons before leaving the room, with Qrow still on the floor.
"That was so not cool..." Qrow groans.
Skit 2: Warm the Cold Shoulder
Winter was waiting outside the auditorium of Beacon, checking the clock on her scroll when Lloyd and Edom show up.
"Winter, what are you doing here in... public?" Lloyd asks.
"First, I am perfectly capable of being out in normal, civilian society. Second, I came here to see my sister and get the details on her progress here at Beacon," Winter replies flatly.
"Um, I'm pretty sure she has more progress on her studies than even the older kids at this school. Any time she's not doing something else, she's studying. Honestly, it makes me want to prank he-I mean drive my head in a wall," Lloyd was about to say something, but stops himself.
"That's not what I'm talking about. I mean how her social life is doing. How many friends does she have, her hobbies, and if there are any boys she's interested in... so I can murder them before she finds out," Winter says, muttering the last part.
"Boring. You should really relax and smile more. I'm sure it would make you seem so much more, you know, human. Even Penny beats you in that regard, and she's technically not human," Lloyd looks off to the side to see Penny and Porphyrius hanging out in the courtyard.
"So, how did you know I was a half-Faunus when we first met? No one's ever been able to figure it out so quickly before, except for Khazhak," Porphyrius asks.
"Your movements seemed much more refined than a normal human's, almost animal like. Plus, my sensors gave me the data when I first saw you and that was how I was able to figure it out," Penny says.
"Okay, that's a little creepy. Talk about invasion of privacy. So, what about you being a robot with an aura. Do you eat like other people too or is that different for you?" Porphyrius asks.
"I don't require regular food, though I do require a recharge for some of my systems sometimes. One good charge and I'm good for a whole week. My dad thought of everything," Penny explains.
Back to Lloyd, Edom and Winter, "See what I mean. Why won't you smile?!" Lloyd exclaims.
"I see no reason to," Winter replies, almost devoid of emotion.
Lloyd gets a determined look in his eyes and zips all over the school, gathering different items from rooms and students. A few minutes later, he comes back and goes to work. He starts with a feather and tries to tickle Winter into laughing. Suffice to say, not only does it not work, she even freezes the feather and it shatters into pieces. Next, he tries using a picture of Jaune getting fired into the sky by Cardin in his rocket locker. Unfortunately, that didn't work either.
"Where'd you get that photo?" Edom asks.
"I stole it from Team CRDL's room after I beat the crap out of them again. It was fun," LLoyd notes offhandedly.
Lloyd then pulls out a jack-in-the-box and when it opens, a boxing glove comes out and punches Edom in the face, knocking him back. Once again, Winter shows no reaction. Lloyd takes it to the next level with the greatest weapon ever... He pulls out Zwei. Zwei barks and Winter stares at him unmoving. Zwei barks again and then pulls out the secret weapon... the puppy-dog eyes. Winter tries to hold it in. She tries really hard. But nothing and nobody can resist the power of the puppy-dog eyes.
She grabs Zwei from Lloyd and starts petting him, "Aren't you just the sweetest little thing. Did that mean idiot in the armor there hurt you? Come on, let's go for a walk while we find my sister," she goes goo-goo-ga-ga on Zwei just like Weiss and leaves the boys.
"Okay, that was creepy," Lloyd says. Edom returns with the jack-in-a-box and glares at him. "What?"
Edom holds the box in front of him and it opens up for the boxing glove to punch Lloyd in the face and send him flying.
Skit 3: Pupil
Out in the school courtyard, Yukari and Voshkie'ahk are playing with Zwei.
"Ah, he really is cute and adorable, isn't he. I can see why Weiss gets so not-so-Weiss whenever he's around. He's so huggable too," Voshkie'ahk picks up Zwei and snuggles her face in his soft fur.
However, Yukari gasps, "Wait, are you saying that Zwei is cuter than me? Are you... falling in love with a big ball of fluff over your precious girlfriend?" Yukari actually looks a little hurt.
"Well, more like he's cute, and you're beautiful. Also, he doesn't force me into embarrassing situations just for laughs. Also, he really is so huggable. Soft like a fluffy pillow. Who's a good boy? You are, yes you are," Voshkie'ahk cues as she snuggles with Zwei, who barks happily.
"Are you sure?" Yukari nearly cries.
Voshkie'ahk sighs, "Alright, come here. Give me a moment, Zwei," Voshkie'ahk puts Zwei down and sits on a bench, patting her lap.
"Yay!" Yukari cheers and lay her head on her girlfriend's lap. "Ah, much better," Yukari sighs as Voshkie'ahk pets her head.
"What am I ever going to do with you," Voshkie'ahk shakes her head, but smiles anyway.
Meanwhile, Khazhak and Glynda watch on from the side, "So, you said that for a time, you trained Voshkie on how to fight whenever Qrow wasn't around to train her himself?"
"It was actually better when I trained her. I did most of the training, while Qrow would take her on missions sometimes. And that was when he wasn't busy getting drunk. Most of how she fights, she learned from me. I'm quite satisfied with how well she took my training and progressed so fast," Glynda explains.
"Okay, but what about when Voshkie'ahk and Yukari got together?" Khazhak asks.
Glynda sighs, "That was well beyond my control. It happened while they were in Mistral for a mission. Somehow, Voshkie'ahk kept their scroll contact hidden from me and made some outings together whenever Voshkie'ahk wasn't busy. It's not like I needed to watch over her 24/7. My first suspicion was when she came back wearing new clothes that someone else paid for her. Believe me, I am quite annoyed by Yukari's antics at times, but she has had at least a decent influence on Voshkie'ahk. At least when it comes to living a life beyond the battlefield and smiling more often,"
They look back to see Yukari brushing Voshkie'ahk's hair while Voshkie'ahk is petting Zwei on her lap. All the while, Yukari has a goofy smile on her face at getting to brush her girlfriend's hair again.
"Are you sure she's been a good influence to my sister?" Khazhak remains unconvinced.
"Well, she's at least been a better influence than Qrow," Glynda notes.
"I'm pretty sure almost anyone on Remnant can be a better influence on a young woman than Qrow," Khazhak deadpans.
"Speaking of which, I believe Qrow was supposed to report to the school today for a meeting with Professor Ozpin. What is taking that old, drunk fool so long? Ugh, I bet he is preoccupied with getting his next drink... again. I'll be back. I'm sure your sister will be fine with you nearby. As for her master, that is another story entirely," and Glynda walks off with a slightly murderous look in her eye.
"Should I tell Ruby that her uncle might not come around to see her for a while? Nah, I'm sure he'll be fine," Khazhak waves it off.
And that's the chapter. More fun, more fluffy, and more laughs here. There will be more to come. What will happen next? Until then, please Read and Review.
