Chapter 13
Arizona's P.O.V:
As Callie and I approached our building, our hearts nearly leaped into our throats when we see Webber coming out of our building.
"Shit!" Callie cursed, "I hope he doesn't catch us," But as the words left her mouth, in an instant, Webber does in fact spot us. He furrows his brow in confusion when he sees us walking up to the building entrance.
"Robbins, Torres, what are you doing out here at this time of night," Callie and I look to each other, trying to figure out a way to keep us from getting into any trouble.
"We were umm..." Callie hesitates. I watch her shift uncomfortably as she tries to get whatever it was that she wanted to say out, "we umm..."
"Jogging," blurting out the first thing that came to mind to my mind.
"At 2:30 in the morning?" he asks, looking at his watch in confusion.
"We couldn't sleep, sir," Callie says, clearing her throat.
"Well, I couldn't sleep," I corrected her, "so I-um...I knocked on Callie's... I mean Lieutenant Torres's door to see if she wanted to come with me because I really hate jogging at night. Very spooky...sir," We stood there, shifting uncomfortably, waiting for a response from our superior, hoping he would buy it.
"Well, okay then," he says, sounding a little puzzled, "since you're back now, why don't you two get to bed. It's late,"
"Yes, sir," Callie and I both say. He gives us a nod, then walks away. When he was out of sight and out of mind, I couldn't help but burst into a fit of laughter.
"Shit, that was close," I say, laughing.
"A little too close," Callie says, releasing the breath she'd been holding, "come on, we better get to bed before we get caught by anyone else," She pulls the door open and ushers me inside.
Standing outside the door to my room, I look at Callie.
"I had a really great night," I say to her with a smile.
"Yeah, me too," she replied, "well, good night, Arizona," She leans over, placing a soft kiss on my cheek.
"Good night," I whisper out, then disappear into my room. After closing the door, I lean back against it and close my eyes. My mind rewinds back to the woods. The way Callie worshipped my body sends an intense feeling through me, causing my hormones to go AWOL once again, "my god," Releasing a content sigh, I tip-toe quietly to my bed, trying not to wake Teddy. That was until I heard a quiet whisper.
"Do you know what time it is?" The sound of Teddy's voice startled me, but still managed to look at her.
"You scared the shit out of me!" I exclaimed, holding my chest.
"Where have you been?" she asks, flicking on her flashlight and shining it right in my face. I ignored her question and tried to climb up to my bed, but she grabs my hand to stop me, "did you have fun, birthday girl?" she asks. Even with the light being shined at me, I could tell she was smiling. Her smile was as wide as the Cheshire cat.
"I did," I say with a grin.
"Did you get your birthday sex?" she asks, still grinning from ear to ear. Teddy's eyes widened when I flashed her a dimpled smile, "oh my god, you got laid. How was it?"
"Awesome," I say, giggling like a love-struck teenager.
"I'm sure it was, you little teenage slut," she teases, pinching my thigh. I let out another giggle, which soon turned into a yawn.
"I'm tired, we'll talk more in the morning," I say, climbing up into my bed.
"I'm holding you to it," she says with a laugh, "good night, Robbins,"
"Good night,"
Six o'clock came all too soon. After getting back late and only getting a few hours of sleep, I didn't want to get out of my bed. I wanted to stay snuggled up and just sleep the day away. But that was a bust when I felt Teddy shaking me.
"Alright, let's go," Teddy says cheerfully, shaking me, "chow time, move it. I'm starving," I just let out a slight grunt, and rolled away from her, "nope, don't give me that. Your little horny ass wanted to stay out all hours of the night, your fault, not mine. Now come on. Besides, your girlfriend is waiting for you," she slaps my thigh, then jumps down off the side of my bed. Rubbing my eye, I throw the covers off, stretch my aching muscles, then climb down to join my friend. We get dressed in silence and make our way to the cafeteria.
We grabbed our breakfast trays and found a table. Putting my tray on the table, I look around the room to see if I could spot Callie. I found her at the corner table, talking to Addison. I couldn't read what the redhead was saying to her, but it must have been funny because Callie had thrown her head back and laughed at whatever was just said. I smile as I take my seat.
"Hey, you listening to me?" Teddy asks, but when she saw what drew my attention away from her, she just shook her head and laughed, "wow, you are so whipped,"
"Maybe I am," I say, still smiling at the beautiful brunette across the room. Addison looked over and grinned when she saw me watching the brunette. She then tapped Callie on the arm and pointed in my direction. She smiled when she caught me staring, then stood up from her seat and made her way over.
"Hey," she smiles when she got to our table.
"Hey yourself," I say, flashing her a dimpled smile. She pulled the chair out and took a seat next to me.
"I had a great time last night," she said, placing her hand on my thigh.
"I'm sure you did," Teddy snorted. I turn and give my bunkmate a death glare, "What?" I mouth something to her, then turn my attention back to the beauty next to me.
"You told her?" Callie frowned.
"She didn't have to. You should have seen the stupid grin on her face when she got back to the room this morning," Teddy laughed.
"I'm sorry. She-" I started but was cut off.
"It's okay. I'm not mad," she looks over at Teddy and whispered, "don't tell anyone about this, or I'll make you run laps until your legs fall off," The smile on Teddy's face disappeared.
"I won't, Lieutenant," Teddy gulped.
"Good," then turns her attention back to me, "anyway, I gotta get back. I'll see you later for roll call,"
"See ya," I say to her. I watch as Callie stood up and walked back to her table. She said something else to Addison, then picked up her tray and left the cafeteria.
"Kepner! Grey! Yang!" Erica called out. "Here," all three ladies say in unison.
"Where's Callie?" Teddy asks, stepping out of line to whisper in my ear.
"I don't know," I shrugged, "she said she would see me during roll call," I look around the quad for our lieutenant, but she was nowhere to be found. As Erica was about to continue taking roll, Sloan walks up and hands her what looks to be a piece of paper. After reading it, she looks over at me.
"Robbins, Webber needs to see you in his office," she says, handing the note back to Mark. The whole unit whispered something among themselves. Shit! I'm in so much trouble. Making my way out of line and up to the front, I see the smirk playing on Mark's face.
"This way Robbins. The master needs you," he says in a gruff voice. I could feel my face turn red with embarrassment. As we were walking, Mark turned away from the building of Webber's office. I furrow my brow in confusion.
"Webber's office is back there," I say pointing to the building behind us,"
"I know," he says, not looking at me.
"Then where are we going?" I ask him.
"Callie wants to see you," he chuckles.
"But you said..."
"I know what I said, Blondie," he interrupts me, "I forged it,"
"Wait, you forge a note from Webber? Do you have any idea how scared I was?"
"Why would you be scared? Did you do something wrong?" he asks, "oh, wait you slept with Torres didn't you? Oh, you dirty dirty girl," he teased.
"I will not admit to that," I say, pretending to zip up my mouth and throw away the key, "my lips are sealed shut,
"Only until you get ahold of Torres's pound cake," he laughs.
I just roll my eyes and follow him to where Callie was. He stops in front of the armory room.
"The armory room?" I raise my brow in question.
"Hey, don't look at me. I'm just following orders, bro,"
"Did you just call me bro?"
"You know what, get in there and give your girl what she wants," he says with a laugh, pushing me into the room, then shuts the door.
"Callie?" I call out in a low tone.
"It's about time," she laughs, stepping into view.
"Well, Mark he-he said that-" I was soon interrupted by her lips attacking mine. My eyes go wide in shock, not expecting this type of reaction out of her. I broke up our kiss and look into brown eyes.
"Here?"
"I'm sorry, when I woke this morning, the thoughts of last night came to me, and then when I saw you this morning in the cafeteria-I just thought-I needed you, like now," she rambled out.
"Well-I'm flattered," I smirk. I grab the back of her neck and pull her in for another heated kiss. Before we knew it, we were pulling and clawing at each other's clothes until we both were panting naked right there in the middle of the armory room.
"Fuck! I need that," Callie says, trying to catch her breath.
"I think we both did," I giggle, "we better get out of here. Mark was probably jacking off out in the hallway after hearing us in here,"
"He better not have been," Callie says, as we look for our clothes that were thrown all over. Once we were dressed, we made sure we had looked a little decent before opening the door. The last thing we wanted was for anyone to know what's been going on between us, "You ready?"
"Ready," I answered. Callie opened the door and as soon as we walked out, Mark had the goofiest grin on his face.
"Enjoy the pound cake?" he laughs.
"Better than ever," Callie retorted, licking her lips. I could feel the heat radiating through my body and my face turn beet red from embarrassment.
"Look, she's blushing," Mark teased, pointing at me. Callie's elbow made contact with his side, "ow,"
"Leave her alone, Mark,"
"Yes, ma'am," he says, holding his side, "we better get back before anyone notices," The three of us walk back to the quad and join our units for our normal daily activities.
