"Move over I was here first." Charlotte tried to push the button for the elevator to fiftieth floor of the Specter Litt as Adam groaned as, he and Charlotte were fighting the whole day.
"What is your problem today? Why is you that has to be first all the damn time?! Yes you're a girl but don't be spoilt your so spoilt!" Adam told his twin as they were reaching, the floor of Specter Litt as Charlotte was taken back by his comment.
"There is nothing wrong with me, why what is wrong with you? I have nothing against you, you've got something against me Adam, you're just probably in a bad mood like dad some of the time." Charlotte told her brother as the elevator dinged as the it came to the fiftieth floor and they went to find their parents.
It was winter break for the twins, they had four weeks off and they had nothing to do today so they had an idea to surprise their parents at work so they texted Ray to pick them up form the condo and take them, which would be nice. Ray was all for it Harvey was on and off meetings all day and Donna was busy with paperwork in her office and didn't know that her two beautiful kids were stopping by to say hello and want to be taken out for lunch also with Harvey. The twins did have some coffee with them as it was freezing cold outside because it was New York City in the middle of December and nearly Christmas it was sixty degrees outside it was cold.
Not only did they have coffee with them in their hands, they had Harvey's favourite bagels too. Which meant it would make their father jealous too. Donna didn't know what was going on because she was way too busy until she saw two familiar faces coming towards her office standing there, so she stood up and smiled knowing that they had nothing better to do at home.
"What are you standing there for? Come in here I don't bite you know." Donna smiled at her kids who came in with coffee and bagels.
"We bought coffee and bagels, we don't know where dad is his office is empty so we don't know where his whereabouts is." Adam answered as he sat down on his mom's couch starting to drink his hot coffee and took his Armani coat and scarf off relaxing looking at his phone.
"See he's always on his phone like dad, are you going to be a lawyer then?" Charlotte exclaimed at her brother.
"Okay kiddies, you are just so, so on each other's backs the whole time and I think it's time that you two need a break from each other." Donna interfered with her kids, when she picked up a coffee and a bagel.
"So I'm on my phone it's not the end of the world is it, mom is it the end of the world that I'm on my phone?" Adam questioned to his mom.
"Well you're pretty much on it quite a lot aren't you?" Donna looked at her son as she sat back at her desk.
"Where's dad anyways? Carl said that he wasn't even in the building when we came in, he's never in the building when we want to come in." Charlotte said sounding upset as she sat down in the couch next to Adam.
"He's in court, he has been for the past couple of hours honey, I'm sure he won't be long. You know he's got this major case that he has been working on, don't worry he'll be back soon baby." Donna said as she was typing something up and she looking up at her children who were on their phones.
"Sometimes I hate daddy being the best lawyer or closer in New York in but then again, he is the best." Charlotte commented as she sighed and laid back on the couch closing her eyes.
"Hey missus please don't go to sleep otherwise you won't sleep tonight." Donna firmly said as she stood up and put her coat on.
"Why where are we going?" Adam got up as he was about to fall asleep and as his mother mentioned they were going out, he jumped up. Adam was a very outgoing boy and he loved going out to places.
Donna and the twins were hanging out in Donna's office for a couple of hours until Harvey came back from court, he was dealing with a major case that has been going for a while and it was going on and on, the client wanted to settle but Jessica and Harvey, didn't want to settle because they knew that they could win this case for the major client that they have.
"Hey what's going on here? Were you guys having a party without me?" As Harvey leaned on Donna's office glass door to see his twins and wife getting ready to go out.
"No, we weren't I was just taking the twins to Macy's for lunch, and then for some shopping if you wanted to join us?" Donna got her purse as she took Charlotte's hand to get her up from the couch.
"Okay, okay I'm up mommy, wait did you say Macy's omg yes I'm defiantly coming." As Charlotte followed her mom in tow and realised her dad was there and kissed his cheek.
"I think I do need a break from this office for a little bit and spend some time with my family, and have some lunch with my kids who have come all the way to see us so why not?" Harvey winked at his kids.
"We bought you some bagels and a coffee from your favourite coffee cart and now mom has decided she's treating us, so I don't know what you want to do with this cold coffee especially the bagel." Adam said as he held it up to his dad and shrugged.
"We just thought it would be a nice gesture and cheer you up a bit, because of this case you have too, even though it is dragging a little." Charlotte said as she took Harvey's hand and Donna's as they made their way to the elevators.
"Ray is waiting for us downstairs, I have texted him and he's going to take us to Macy's, but babe I have to be back in the office in a few hours." Harvey told Donna as they got into the elevator and made their way down to the lobby to the luxurious car that Ray was leaning against.
"Can we buy our Christmas gifts while we are at Macy's pretty please we have been good?" Charlotte beamed remembering that she knew what she wanted for Christmas and Harvey and Donna was obviously keeping it secret.
"Damn Charlotte can't you not wait until mom and dad have time do it when they aren't working?" Adam said as they all got into the car.
"Hey! Christmas is coming and I want to know what we are getting for Christmas is that such a crime in itself?" Charlotte argued back as Ray started to drive off as Harvey and Donna looked at each other speaking silently to one and other of their conversation.
"Hey, I think it's nice that Charlotte is excited for Christmas it's a magical time of year and plus you can, decide what you want and Santa can get it for you guys." Donna stroked her daughters hair as she looked at her husband.
"I don't know what I want for Christmas this year, I have everything that I want to be honest with you. I have a family, great parents, a sister who annoys me." Adam looks back.
"Hey! That's just saying that for the sake of it Adam! Take that back now!" Charlotte exclaimed as she tried to hit her twin and Harvey stopped her.
"Okay! Okay sweetheart stop it, come on now Adam was only being nice alright calm down honey it's okay, he did nothing wrong against you sweetheart." As Harvey looked across to Donna sighing as he stroked Charlotte's hand to calm her down.
"I didn't do anything to upset you Char, I was just saying what I didn't want for Christmas that's all." Adam explained as he looked at his mom and dad and then looked at the road when he was sitting at the front with Ray next to him.
Once Ray pulled outside of Macy's the family of four got out of the black Lexus, it started to snow and even though it wasn't even that cold. But in New York you can't predict anything towards the winter months and Christmas which makes it more magical. Harvey and Donna let the kids walk independently while they choose their Christ Presents while the kids choose their gifts for themselves and their parents, Harvey loved a good expensive gift as well as Donna so the kids had to think long and hard to see what they can see from the shelves this year. Harvey and Donna had pretty much everything.
The kids wanted to go to Disneyland Paris but they didn't even think about talking to their parents about it, because they had already been to the one in Orlando. But they also wanted to go Paris and experience the once in Paris too which wouldn't hurt them either. Charlotte and Adam had been looking on the internet and searching for next year hinting that they want to go, so Harvey and Donna knew that something was up and that they wanted to go somewhere. Harvey and Donna were in the kids section looking at clothes for the kids, they needed more clothes for the winter and Donna knew what size the kids were so she gave Harvey a job to hold the clothes that she chose.
"Honey don't you think it's a little much for the kids, they have so much clothes at home babe?" Harvey asked as he followed his wife around the department store as she was looking through the clothes for the kids.
"No honey, it's Christmas, plus it's your credit card that it's going on." As Donna poked her husbands chest and kissed Harvey.
"Oh my God! My credit card is going to be bankrupt before I even know the kids have even thought of their gifts baby." As he smirked at Donna.
"That's the whole point of you being a father to honey, come on I haven't finished with their clothes yet." Donna took his hand as they went to the boys section to find Adam some clothes.
"So this is all Charlotte's?!" Harvey said in shock.
