Chapter 12: The Perfect Hideout
The next day, Emily, the girls, my family, and I were testing out the phone charm at school during lunch. "So if the phone charm works like Pop said, we should be able to contact him in Jubiland," Emily said. "Mom put the Glitter Charm in," I said eagerly. "Okay," Emily said. Emily puts the Glitter Charm in and Pop appeared on the screen.
"Activate Glitter Charm! Phone!" The woman said. We all gasped. "Cool," Beshtie said. "It worked! Pop, it's you!" Candy said excitedly. "How can I help you, Glitter Force? Is there important news to report or a crisis?" Pop said. "We miss you!" We all said, waving at Pop. "Oh, uh hi." Pop said. "We're talking to Jubiland!" April said. "Wow, the reception's really good!" Lily said. "Yeah!" Emily said.
"Hey, what are you guys doing?" A girl suddenly said. We got nervous.
"Nothing to see here," Ono said nervously. "Ono!" Fuli shouted. "Oh nothing, just chatting," Chloe said. "Look at that! A UFO!" Kelsey shouted. "Wow, a UFO? Where? Where?!" Candy said. "No, it was just a big pigeon! False alarm, sorry!" Kelsey said. We all sighed. "I don't get why we can't just tell people about this," I said. "Are you crazy? Then everyone would know about it." Candy said. "Every place is too crowded!" Kelsey said.
"If we want to keep the Glitter Force a secret, we need to stop talking about it at school," Kelsey said. "Yeah, there's no privacy here!" April said. "We could always go to one of our houses," April said. "But then we'd have to worry about our families finding out," Chloe said. "We can go to the Pride Lands," I said. "What's the Pride Lands?" Lily asked. "It's a place where me and my family used to live. I'm the queen of the Pride Lands." I said. "Wow, you're a queen?" Lily said. "That's so cool, how come you never told us?" Emily said. "Don't forget Aunt Lana, there are other animals in the Pride Lands too and they could overhear our conversations," Simba said.
"Oh, right," I said. "Well, there's gotta be somewhere better than hiding in here behind these air conditioners. It's dirty." April said. "Your right. What we need is an official Glitter Force headquarters!" Emily said. "You mean a secret base, like the ones superheroes have?" Lily said. "Yeah! We'll start looking for one after school today, okay?" Emily said.
"We're gonna head back home now. Have a good rest of your day Lana." Nala said. "Okay, bye Nala," I said. "Before you go to your next class Lana, I need to talk to you," Ahadi said. "Uh, okay," I said. When everyone left, I stayed behind with Ahadi.
"What did you need, Dad?" I asked. "You are forbidden to go out with your friends- I mean parents after school today," Ahadi said. "What? Why Dad? I didn't do anything wrong." I said. I screamed when Ahadi shocked me. Ahadi turned the shocks off and glared at me.
"Because Chloe is there," Ahadi said. "Huh? Why are you so worked up about me being with Chloe?" I asked. Ahadi roared and hit me hard.
"Because I hate lesbians!" Ahadi yelled and punched me in the face. I cried in pain. "Just because you had a bad experience doesn't mean you should hate me and Chloe," I said. "Don't talk back to me!" Ahadi yelled and shocked me. Ahadi punched me a few times and smacked me hard in the chest. Ahadi pinned me down and dug out his claws.
"Dad please stop," I begged with tears streaming down my face. Ahadi ignored me and scratched my arm, followed by a few more shocks and scratched me again. He punched me one more time, then grabs me roughly by the chin, forcing me to look at him.
"Listen. You are not to go out with your parents after school. Understood?" Ahadi said. I nodded, with tears still streaming down my face. "Yes, Dad," I said. "Good. Now get up and get to class." Ahadi said. With that Ahadi left. I cried and ran to my classroom. Ahadi hasn't been hitting me until Chloe and I was together. I hope he doesn't continue to hit me.
After school, even though I was forbidden to, I went out with my parents and my family to find a secret hiding base. Thankfully Ahadi didn't come with.
"All right Emily! Let's open the portal!" Candy said. "Ooh, this one!" Emily said as she took a book from the shelf. "Hey! Push to the right! Then push to the left!" Candy said and pushed the books. "And that one!" Emily said and grabbed another book while grabbing Candy too. Candy did not seem amused.
"Ow! Would you mind telling me what you're doing?" Candy said. "Yeah Mom, what are you doing?" I asked. "We'll be spending a lot of time in our secret base! I want to make sure I've got all my favorite books!" Emily said excitedly. "I get it, just help me with this!" Candy said. "Okay. Ready? Push!" Emily said. Together, Emily, Candy, and I pushed the books apart.
"Good job Lana," Nala said. "Thanks!" I said. "I love this part! Wow!" Emily said when bright lights were showing. "Oh yeah!" Bunga said. I held onto Emily's hand as we went through the portal.
Meanwhile, Kelsey and the other girls were doing the same thing back at their houses.
"Okay, right, left, open!" Kelsey said. Bright lights are shown in Kelsey's room. "Traveling through a magic portal in our bookshelves is so wild!" Kelsey said. "I can't believe we can all do it!" Chloe said as she opened her books. "Woah!" Kelsey said. Lily giggled happily. "Here I go!" April said. When the girls got to the Library of Legends, they screamed and landed on the ground.
"I hate that part," Kelsey said. "Hi, Mom's." I said when I saw them. "All present and accounted for!" Candy said. "All right! Everyone made it!" Emily said. "And nobody fell down this time!" Lily said. "My paws didn't get a scratch on them," Janja said. "It's like soccer, just takes some practice!" April said. "No wonder this place is called the Library of Legends! Just look at it! Have you ever seen so many books?" Chloe said. "This place is so beautiful," Uru said.
"Maybe one of these books will give you a good idea for a secret base and then you can use the Magic Portal to take you there!" Candy said. "Hmm. But where to begin?" Chloe said. "Hey! Why not use this Library as our base! Huh?" Kelsey said. "We could!" Emily said. "Not a bad idea, I like this place!" Nala said. "You're right!" Lily said. Lily took off and ran somewhere.
"Lily, where are you going?" Candy said. "To look around!" Lily said. "Or not!" Lily said when she tripped. Emily and I ran towards Lily.
"Lily, are you okay?" Emily said. "Mommy? You okay?" I said. Emily yelped when the tree branch grabbed her and left her dangling in the air.
"Mom!" I cried and ran towards her to help. A branch caught my foot and left me suspended upside-down in the air.
"Uh, a little help?" I asked. "C'mon we'd better help," Kelsey said. Everyone screamed as they fell down. "No roughhousing in the library!" Candy said. "Okay, forget it! This place would make a terrible secret base!" Kelsey yelled. "You said it. We might as well go back to the air conditioners. It's dirty and there's no furniture." April said. "And it's dangerous!" Lily, Emily, and I said. "I know the perfect place! There's hardly any dirt! And you couldn't ask for more privacy!" Chloe said. "Yeah? Where?" Kelsey said. "Just follow me and I'll show ya!" Chloe said. "Could someone help me?" I asked.
"Oh yeah, we're coming." Scar said. Scar and Anga ran towards me. Anga cut the twigs with her beak, and I landed on Scar's back.
"Thanks, Scar," I said. "You're welcome." Scar said. "Come on, let's go follow Chloe," Mufasa said. We followed Chloe through the book portal.
"So where are we?" Emily asked when we got to the place. "Where is this bookcase?" Candy asked. "Come on, this way!" Chloe said. We all followed Chloe outside. When we got outside, we screamed because it was cold. Very cold.
"What the hell is this?" Nala said. "Chloe! Where are we?!" April shouted. "Isn't it wonderful?" Chloe said. "Considering the fact that I'm freezing my ass off and I'm about to get frostbite, no. It's not wonderful." Zira said. "It's a high-altitude weather station!" Chloe said. "Well, it's certainly clean!" Lily said. "Listen, I've written us a mission statement!" Chloe said. "A what?" We all said. "Chloe, I can't hear you!" I shouted.
"A declaration of the goals and principles of the Glitter Force, and I've written it in the form of a poem!" Chloe said. "Oh no," Kelsey said. "Oh, God." Scar said and covered his ears. "Our aim is to aim as high, as mountains soar and eagles fly. To save the earth, that's our goal. And keep it happy from pole to pole. On this mountain top we'll be free to fulfill our awesome destiny!" Chloe said.
"It's not bad, but she lost me after 'eagles," Kelsey said. "Babe, this place is nice but I'm freezing," I said. "Yeah, and my fur is about to fall off," Sarafina said. "Chloe, don't you think it's kinda cold?" Emily said. Lily and I sneezed. "Yeah, and there's no furniture here either," April said. "Why are we so obsessed over furniture?" Zira said. "Oh! Right. You have a point. Well, it was just an idea." Chloe said. We went back into the library of legends and got warmed up. It was Lily's turn to show her hideout idea.
"Okay, now that I've got the feeling back in my toes I'll show you what a real secret base looks like!" Lily said. "Well, I guess you are the expert on bases," Kelsey said. "This better be good," Janja said. "And not freezing like the last one," Sarafina said. "They're all high-tech nowadays. That's how it is in all the movies!" Lily said. "I haven't seen many. What are they like?" Chloe asked. "Just stick with me and you'll find out," Lily said. "This should be interesting," Mufasa said.
Lily pushed the books open and we landed in another secret base. This one was like a superhero one. I smiled. Lily smiled proudly.
"There, see? That's a secret base!" Lily said. "This is awesome Mommy!" I said. "Woah, cool! It's like out of a movie!" April said. "Yeah! All those buttons and lights!" Emily said. "Awesome, right?" Lily said. "Yeah! It's amazing!" April said. We all ran towards the table.
"Woah, slow down Lana!" Anga cried. "I have to admit, I'm impressed. I'll have to brush up on my superheroes." Chloe said. "Hey! None of these buttons seem to do anything." Kelsey said. "Excuse me?" A man said. "Huh?" Kelsey said and looked at the man.
"What do you kids think you're doing? Get off the set please." The man said. "Uh-oh," Simba said. "No wonder it's like a movie, it is a movie!" April cried. We screamed and ran away. "We're sorry!" We cried as we left. We made it back to the Library of Legends.
"Phew. That was a close one." Nala said. "Okay... my bad. But we almost got to be movie stars!" Lily said. "Man, we're getting nowhere!" Kelsey said. "This is gonna take all day," Fuli said. "Don't worry, we'll find something," Uru said.
"Okay, guys. Enough fooling around, leave it to me. I'll show you the perfect place." April said. "Where Mama?" I said. "Follow me," April said. We got to a place with pink furniture and stuffed animals.
"It's so cute!" We all said. "And plus, it's got places to sit!" April said. "Well, yours certainly the prettiest place so far, April!" Chloe said. "Yeah!" We all said. "It's not too cold in here," Sarafina said. "Ah, this is the life," Fuli said as she lays down. "Wow April, I never pegged you for the girly pink stuff type," Kelsey said. "Yeah!" We all said. "But I dunno. I could see coming back from a hard day of saving the world and relaxing on a big soft plushie!" Kelsey said.
"We can fuck each other on this comfy furniture." Scar said and snuggled up against me. "Scar!" I shouted. "And I brought stuff for a picnic!" April said and got out a basket. "Ah-hem! I'm sorry, please don't touch the displays. And there's no eating or drinking in the stores." A shopkeeper said. "Uhh..." We said. "The store? This is a store?" Emily said. "Ooh! Look, Mommy! This one! I want this one!" A young girl shouted and picked up Candy.
"No, no wait! She's not for sale!" Chloe shouted and ran over to the girl. We all screamed and ran out of the store.
"Sorry!" Lily called. "It's too bad, that would have made a nice secret base!" Emily said. "That girl had something sticky on her hands!" Candy cried. "All right! It looks like it's my turn now! Follow me, everybody!" Kelsey said. "Okay, Mother!" I said. "Wait! Slow down! Come on, I've got shorter legs!" Lily shouted. "Here," Mufasa said and picked up Lily and put her on his back. We then turned up somewhere different. We landed on something soft.
"Okay, feels like another plushie," Emily said. "Emily. That's not a plushie." Lily said. "Ahh! That's a gorilla! Lana, get away from there!" Ono shouted. Emily and I got nervous when we saw the gorilla.
"Uhh, hi," Emily said. The gorilla growled at us. Kelsey was holding onto the baby gorilla.
"Well? Pretty cute, huh?" Kelsey said. "Uhh, Mother... I don't think this goes under the definition of cute." I said. "It's a real gorilla!" Kelsey said. "Hey!" A zookeeper yelled at us. Anga grabbed me with her talons and flew me over to the girls.
"Hurry! Find the magic book portal!" Candy cried. "There's just one problem with that! Those books aren't real. They're painted on the wall!" Kelsey said. "This is a terrible secret base!" Lily cried. "You said it!" Anga said. "Yeah, maybe you're right," Kelsey said. "Are you kids crazy? Get out of there!" The zookeeper yelled. "Sorry!" We all cried and ran away. We got to the Library of Legends.
"Well, that was exciting," Kelsey said. We all gasped for breath. "What that was, was terrifying!" April cried. "Hey, we wanted somewhere private, didn't we? I thought no one would bother us there." Kelsey said. "Yes, but we were bothering the gorillas and gorillas don't like to be bothered," Chloe said. "Yeah, they can get pretty aggressive," Ono said. "And talk about dirty! Sheesh." April said. "Our spot behind the air conditioners is starting to look better and better," April said.
"I never thought finding a secret base would be so hard," Lily said. "Maybe we ought to just skip it for now and try another time," Kelsey said. "Woah. Cheer up everybody I'm sure we'll find something." Emily said. "I don't know," Kelsey said. "C'mon guys your not really saying you're ready to give up? It's our mission!" Emily said. "Come to think of it, we haven't seen your choice of a secret base yet, Emily and Lana. You keeping it a secret?" Chloe said.
"Huh?" Emily and I said, then we giggled. "Well as a matter of fact..." Emily said and took out her book. "What's that book?" Lily asked. "The Magic Meadow." Candy said. "It's been one of my favorite books ever since I was little. It's about these two girls who are best friends and every day they meet in this clearing in the forest that nobody knows about. It's a special, secret place that's just for them. So when I was a kid, I went looking in the woods near our house and I found a place just like it. A clearing in the forest, just like those two girls found! Uh, I just thought that maybe it could be our special secret place." Emily said.
"Will we fit? There are 5 of us including Lana's family." Lily said. "I'm game. You?" Kelsey said. "Yeah, but this special place is near where you used to live, right?" April said. "Too far?" Emily said. "The magic portal can take us anywhere Emily, remember? So, let's go!" Chloe said. "Great!" Emily said and nodded. "But first before we go, can I show my idea of a secret base first?" I asked. "Of course," Chloe said.
"Okay, let's go," I said. Everyone followed me as I opened up the book portal. When we got to the destination, we landed inside a movie theater.
"Why am I not surprised?" Vitani said. "Come on, follow me!" I said. I giggled and ran towards the Imax theater. Everyone followed me into the theater. When we got inside, it was quiet because there was no show playing.
"Well, this is nice," Kelsey said. "But what about the people when they start coming into the theater?" Fuli said. We all got scared when the trailers started.
"Okay, maybe this place isn't gonna work out," April said. "Nice try though Lana," Mufasa said. "Let's go see Emily's secret base now," Chloe said. We left the theater and made our way to Emily's secret base.
Meanwhile, in the woods two kids were making their way to the forest. "So, we'll play tea party today, okay?" A young girl said. "Okay! Then after we can play store!" The second young girl said. "Oh yeah!" The first young girl said. "Ah, children at play. Aren't they adorable? Obviously, they don't know their fairy tales, because if they did, they would know not to be playing in the woods where there's always a chance of running into a big bad wolf! Hah!" Ulric said and laughed.
Emily, the girls, my family, and I were following Emily to her secret hideout place.
"This way! Come on hurry up you slow pokes!" Emily said and laughed. She took off running.
"This is so exciting!" Emily said. "Well, Emily sure is in a good mood," April said. "Just like a little kid!" Lily said. "Huh?" We all said and laughed. "Well, I couldn't say it takes one to know one, but I won't!" Kelsey said. "I'm not a little kid!" Lily whined. Emily continued running towards her spot. She giggled.
"Hmm. This is so exciting! Getting to show my friends and my daughter my favorite place!" Emily said. "How far is this place?" Chloe said. "We've been walking forever," Vitani whined. "It wouldn't be much of a secret base if it weren't well hidden!" Lily said. Emily continued running but slowed down when she saw two little kids playing in her spot.
"Ooh, good idea! I'm hungry! This cake is so tasty!" The young girl said. "I know! That's why it's called tasty cake!" The second girl said. The girls giggled.
"It's crowded." Candy said. "Hey! Don't eat it all! Try your tea!" The other girl said. We all caught up to Emily.
"Uh-oh. Is that it? The place you were talking about?" Kelsey said. "Mmm hmm. Oh well, I guess my secret special place isn't so secret anymore. Let's go." Emily said sadly and turned to walk away. "Yeah, okay," Kelsey said. "I'm sorry Emily," Sarafina said. "Maybe we can find another spot just as good!" Chloe said. "Mmm hmm," Emily said. "There, nice and clean!" The girl said. Just then, Ulric had appeared.
"All right, tea party's over! But stick around kids, the real party's about to begin!" Ulric said. We turned around to see Ulric standing in front of us.
"Ulric!" Emily shouted. "Not him again!" Candy cried. "That bastard wolf just doesn't give up!" Anga shouted. Ulric took out his book. "That's right! It's me, your favorite party crasher! Who drinks tea anyway? I'm a coffee guy myself and I prefer it black!" Ulric said and spread black ink on the book. The sky turned dark and the kids were trapped under the spell.
"It's boring eating pretend cake and drinking pretend tea." The girl said. Ulric laughed. "That's right, that's what I need, enough of that negative energy to turn the Wheel of Doom another click! And when it's finished turning my master Emperor Nogo will be revived!" Ulric said. We gasped.
"It's Glitter Time girls!" Candy said. "Hmm," Emily said. "Insert Glitter Charm!" We all said and inserted our Glitter Charms into our Glitter Pacts. "Activate Glitter Pact!" The woman said. "All together! Glitter Force makeover!" We all shouted. Our Glitter Puff appeared.
"Glitter Puff! Apply Shades of Power!" Emily shouted. "Poof Poof Glitter Bands! Poof Poof Glitter Boots!" Emily yelled. Her Glitter Bands and Glitter Boots appeared. "Poof Poof Poof, I'm Glittertastic!" Emily said and finished applying her costume.
"Glitter Bands! Glitter Boots!" I yelled and applied my Glitter Bands and Glitter Boots. I giggled and finished applying the rest of my costume. My big light purple hair appeared, and my eyes changed color to purple.
"Glitter Bands! Glitter Boots!" Kelsey yelled as her Glitter Bands and Glitter Boots appeared. "This girl is on fire!" Kelsey yelled as she finished applying the rest of her costume on. "Hah!" Kelsey yelled as her big hair appeared.
"Woo!" Lily shouted as she clapped her hands together. "Glitter Bands!" Lily yelled and applied on her Glitter Bands and Glitter Boots. Lily finished applying her costume. "The Power of Peace!" Lily shouted. "Oh!" Lily cried as her big hair appeared.
"Yeah! Watch out world!" April shouted. "Glitter Boots!" April yelled as her Glitter Boots and Glitter Bands appeared. "Spring has sprung!" April shouted as the rest of her costume appeared. April's big hair had appeared.
"Glitter Boots! Glitter Bands!" Chloe said as her Glitter Bands and Glitter Boots appeared. The rest of Chloe's costume had appeared. "Oh so cool," Chloe said. Chloe's big hair had appeared. We landed on the ground when we finished transforming.
"A fabulous shimmer! A glow in your heart! I'm Glitter Lucky!" Emily shouted and did her pose. "The beat of Music! The wave of Sound! I'm Glitter Song!" I yelled and did my pose. "When you mess with me, you're playing with fire! I'm Glitter Sunny!" Kelsey yelled and did her pose. "Puppies and kittens, the Power of Love! I'm Glitter Peace!" Lily shouted and did her pose. "A force as strong as life itself! I'm Glitter Spring!" April shouted and did her pose. "Cool and swift as the winter wind! I'm Glitter Breeze!" Chloe shouted and did her pose.
"Time to blaze away to a happy ending!" We all shouted as we soared through the sky. "Ready girls?" Lucky said. "Shining bright! Here comes the Glitter Force!" We all yelled and did our pose.
"You know that doesn't get any better the more times I have to see it. And frankly, I don't want to see it ever again! Buffon! Come on down!" Ulric shouted and summoned a tree Buffoon.
"Buffon!" The Buffon yelled when it appeared. "How dare you turn a beautiful oak tree into a monster! That is so bad for the environment!" Lucky shouted. "Hah! Just wait, your environment is about to get a lot worse! Trash them, Buffon!" Ulric yelled. "Buffon Bull-doze!" The Buffon shouted and prepared to attack. We screamed and jumped out of the way as the Buffon slammed a bush into the ground.
"Did anybody bring hedge clippers?" Lucky asked. "Why would we need that?" Vitani said. "Buffon!" The Buffon yelled and raised his arms to attack. "Bash!" The Buffon yelled and slammed the bush into the ground again. "Oh no!" Anga cried. Ulric laughed.
"How do you like that, you little tree-hugger?" Ulric said. "I could turn this whole forest into a parking lot if I wanted to! With a mini-mall." Ulric said. "That's a terrible idea!" I shouted. "No! This forest was my special place when I was little! And now it's a special place for a whole new generation of little kids to come and play in!" Lucky shouted. Lucky grunted as she got up. "You keep your paws off it, you mangy old fleabag! You hear me?!" Lucky yelled. "Wow!" We all said with amazement.
"She's amazing!" Kiara said. "That's some pretty talk for a little girl who's about to be flattened!" Ulric shouted. "Quick Lucky! Use your Sparkle Storm on that Buffon!" Candy shouted. "Hmm," Lucky said and nodded. "We got spirit, yes we do, we got spirit how 'bout you!" Lucky yelled and summoned her Glitter Spirit.
"That's enough of that. Crush her Spirit, Buffon!" Ulric shouted. "Buffon! Bash!" The Buffon yelled and attacked Lucky with his bushes. As he was about to hit Lucky, we jumped up and held the bush up.
"We've got your back!" Sunny shouted. "Lucky now's your chance! Go on!" Breeze shouted. Lucky smiled and nodded.
"Glitter Force! Sparkle Storm!" Lucky yelled and shot her Sparkle Storm at the Buffon. "Buffon!" The Buffon yelled as he was being defeated. "Another Glitter Charm! Yay!" Candy said as she put the Glitter Charm into the Charm Chest. "A Ring Charm, too! That's the prettiest so far, too!" Candy said. "No wonder they call her Lucky! Wait till next time!" Ulric said. With that, he disappeared, and everything turned back to normal.
"That was the tastiest cake ever!" The girl said. "You wanna play store now?" The other girl said. "Yeah!" The first girl said. "Okay!" The other girl said. We smiled and turned away.
"Back to the drawing board," Kelsey said. "Oh! I've got an idea! We'll let the magic portal choose our secret base! If we all just concentrate on the kind of place we want, somewhere that's private and safe, and-"
"And has furniture." April cut in. "And has furniture, yes. If we imagine the perfect place, the magic portal will take us there! Don't you think?" Emily said. "Sure, why not? It's worth a try!" Kelsey said. "Everybody concentrate," Kelsey said. "And no getting distracted by penguins this time," Janja said. I giggled. "I know Daddy," I said. "All right, ready?" Emily said. "Oh mighty portal, hear our plea! Take us where we want to go!" Kelsey said. "Was that really necessary?" Scar said. "You're supposed to think it, not say it," Chloe said. "Huh?" Kelsey said. "A wish won't come true if you say it out loud everybody knows that," Lily said. "Oh, sorry!" Kelsey apologized.
Emily giggled. "To the right!" Emily said and pushed the books to the right. "To the left!" Emily said and pushed the books to the left. "Get ready! Hah!" Emily said and pushed both books open. We smiled as a bright light showed. I held onto Chloe's hand as we fell through the portal.
"Here we go!" Emily said excitedly. "Next stop, who knows!" Kelsey said. "Yay!" I said. "Oh boy! I can't wait to see where we end up! I hope there's furniture!" April said. "Enough with the furniture already," Vitani said. "Furniture! We get it." Kelsey said. We landed back in the Library of Legends.
"Uh-oh. I think we broke it." Kelsey said. "Huh?" We said. "It brought us right back to the Library of Legends." Candy said. "Why would the Portal bring us back here? Was one of you thinking of this place? 'Cause I was thinking of the perfect secret base." Kelsey asked. "Uh." We all said. "That's exactly what I was thinking!" April said. "Yes, 'the perfect secret base' I was thinking of those very words," Kelsey said. "Could it mean? Yeah, that's gotta be it!" Emily said.
"Don't you see it? This is it! This is our secret base, guys!" Emily said. "Huh?" We said. "The Library of Legends?" Lily said. "Mmm. All that searching and it was right here under our noses! I know we said it's too dangerous, but it isn't really. It's a lot safer than any of those other places. At least there's no Ulric or angry gorillas! And it's as private as you can get. Nobody else knows about it except us! And besides, it's pretty!" Emily said.
"Yeah, that's true. And it beats having to keep looking. So, what do you guys think?" Kelsey said as we all took our seats on mushrooms. "Yeah!" We all said. "And actually, it does have furniture. If maybe toadstools count." April said. "All right, it's settled. Shall we call our first meeting to order?" Chloe said. "Uhh, we're kinda far apart, aren't we?" Emily said. "Hmm," Chloe said. "Hey! What are you guys talking about over there?!" Kelsey shouted from the back. We crammed into one mushroom.
"This isn't going to work," I said. Lily fell down to the ground.
"Maybe the star charm can help you redecorate!" Candy said. "Hmm, you think?" Emily said. "That's a good idea," Kiara said. "Activate Glitter Charm! Star!" The woman said when Emily placed the Glitter Charm into the Glitter Pact.
"Wow!" We gasped when stars fell down on us. "Look at all the stars!" Emily said. We gasped when the big tree trunk transformed with decorations on it.
"Are we supposed to go in?" April asked. We opened the door and saw a big table with a bunch of furniture and even a Tv! We giggled and ran inside.
"It's like our own clubhouse!" April cried. "And as for you! I bet you knew about this the whole time, right? You could have told us and saved us a lot of work you fluffy little-" Kelsey said and playfully attacked Candy.
"Actually, I think that was the point. It was only by making the journey that we found out where we needed to be!" Emily said. "That's deep, Emily," Kelsey said. "So, you're not disappointed that there aren't any gorillas?" April said. "Hmm. Well, gorillas are pretty cool." Kelsey said. "Hmm." Chloe and Lily said. "Don't you think my mission statement looks perfect there?" Chloe said. "A calendar might work better," Lily said. "What?" Chloe said.
"I think it's perfect babe," I said. Chloe and I kissed. "Come on! If we're going to decorate, let's really decorate!" Candy said as she was making a line of beads.
"Well, Emily. Should we call our first meeting to order?" April said. "Mhm! Raise your mugs! Here's to the Glitter Force and our very own official secret base!" Emily said. We cheered and raised our mugs. "Congrats on the new base Lana," Mufasa said. "Thanks," I said.
"And these chairs are so comfortable!" Emily said. "Isn't this beautiful?" Chloe said.
With that, we started our first meeting.
