A/N: So I did say that I was going to put out a chapter at least once a week given we're so close to the end, but I'll be honest, I had a HORRIBLE writer's block with this one as I couldn't exactly figure out how I would this section before moving on to the final battle, but this was the best outcome I could come up with. Also, there will be a couple references to couple other fanfics, some by PotCFan101 himself. I will explain in the Author's Note at the end of this chapter. Speaking of, enjoy!
Now Playing: "Enemy" by Flyleaf
Oliver Queen walked into his bedroom, feeling very tired after being captured by Damien Darhk earlier. As he sat on his bed, he pondered to himself: Can he and everyone else actually be able to beat Darhk? His previous war with Damien was already no easy battle, but seeing as he now had the power of a powerful demon, this one might be even worse. Just as he thought this, he heard a knock on his door.
"Am I interrupting?"
Queen then turned around to see Nora Darhk, or at least the older one, standing in his doorway.
"No, not at all." Oliver said.
"Good." Nora said as she walked closer to him.
"I just came here to tell you that… for twenty five years… I've always hated you… Ever since you killed my father, I had blamed you and wanted to make you suffer for what you did… You saw a glimpse of that hatred from my younger self earlier… But now… I don't."
"What are you saying?" Oliver asked.
"I understand now, why you had to kill him." Darhk continued. "I've seen the monster he really is. He absorbed Mallus out of me and then tossed me away as if I didn't worth shit to him. I guess what I'm saying is… I forgive you."
Those last three words really struck a chord with Oliver. He's not too used to seeing his enemies forgive him for causing them trouble, not alone their children. Then again, he shouldn't be too surprised as he himself forgave one of his greatest rivals, Slade Wilson, for everything he's done over the past few years. But still, there was a part of him that regretted killing Darhk two years ago, resulting in Nora having a very bad upbringing.
"Well, I do appreciate that." Oliver said. "But for what it's worth, I do have a little bit of regret from taking your father away from you."
"You had to do what was best for the world at the time." Nora reminded him. "And now we're going to do it again by stopping Damien from making the world a living Hell." Oliver then grinned.
"Well, come on. We might as well get ready." Oliver said. Nora nodded as the two then walked back to the main room.
Central City
Barry Allen, Cisco Ramon, Wally West, and Harry Wells are seen discussing potential ideas on how they could stop the evil Clifford Devoe, otherwise known as The Thinker.
"Okay, so if the cerebral inhibitor didn't work, what can we possibly use to stop Devoe?" Cisco asked.
"Honestly at this point, I don't know." Harry replied as he fiddled with a red ball. "He has the power of multiple meta humans. He's basically unstoppable."
"You could just shoot him." Andy Barclay said as he, Constantine, and Gibb walked inside STAR Labs.
"It's a little old fashioned, but hey, got any better ideas?"
"Back so soon?" Wally asked. "Did you miss us or something?"
"Yeah, you could call it that, mate." Constantine said. "We need you to transport us to Earth-33."
"The one with your less good looking American doppelgänger?" Cisco asked. John nodded. "Okay, sure. But what for?"
"We have reason to believe Damien Darhk might go there to retrieve that world's Spear of Destiny." Andy explained.
Cisco nodded in understanding as he and Barry then led the trio to the room that once housed a breach. He then proceeded to create a portal to the alternate Earth.
"You might wanna take us with you." Ramon said, indicating him and Barry.
"Alright, come on then." Andy said. "And if this doesn't go right, I might actually go back in time and kill Chucky in the 60s."
And I might go save Jason from drowning from Camp Crystal Lake." Gibb added.
"No! Absolutely not!" Allen quickly said.
"Why the fuck not?" Andy asked harshly.
"Because…" Cisco started. "When I vibed you, I saw you from another life. One where Chucky was still in Alice's body and continually tortured you, in both psychical and mental ways."
"Well, may I have a peek?" Andy asked.
"I'm a bit curious myself." Gibb said.
"Alright. But don't say I didn't warn you." Cisco said before he grabbed both Andy and Gibb's hands, showing them alternate lives of theirs. And what Andy saw absolutely horrified him…
Vision: Chicago, 2013
"Hello, Andy." Chucky, possessing the body of young Alice Pierce, sneered as he had Andy Barclay down to the ground after stabbing him in the leg.
"I gotta say, this is fun being a little girl. You never saw me coming!"
"Fuck you." Andy growled. But his swearing was proven moot as Chucky quickly pulled out his knife and stabbed him in his hand, making him scream in agony.
"Oh, don't you worry, shortstack." Chucky said, chuckling. "I have big plans for you…"
With that, he covered Andy's face with a black plastic bag, and carried Barclay to the outdoors where his wife, Tiffany Valentine, was waiting for him in a red car. Together, they fit Andy into the trunk and drove off…
Charles Lee Ray's Hideout
Andy then woke up, finding himself in a strange basement, while strapped in a chair with his mouth covered in duct tape. It had a table full of flowers and leaning against the front was a voodoo mask of sorts. He even noticed that there were spots of blood on the walls.
"Wakey wakey, eggs and bakey!"
Barclay then saw Chucky and Tiffany standing in front of him, with shit-eating grins on their faces.
"You were knocked out for a while there." Tiffany said as she ripped the duct tape off of Andy's mouth.
"Where the fuck am I?" Andy asked, gasping for air.
"Your new home." Chucky slyly answered, before he walked towards the table and grabbed a blowtorch.
"Now get comfy… friend."
Chucky then turned on the blowtorch and walked up to Andy, proceeding to burn his fingertips, making Barclay once again scream in pain.
2 Months Later…
Andy gasped awake, still in Chucky's basement, with the killer doll possessing a young girl once again standing right in front of him.
"Happy Birthday, Andy!" Chucky said. "So unfortunately, I didn't get ya any wrapped up gifts, but I did get you something just as good if not even better. Tiff, wanna do the honors?"
Just then, Tiffany came into the scenery with another hostage whose face was covered by a black plastic bag, and their hands tied up in their back. She then proceeded to remove the bag revealing the hostage to be none other than Andy's mother, Karen Barclay.
"M-Mom?" Andy asked with fear in his voice. Fear he had not felt since he was a child. Karen started screaming something, but it was unclear what exactly it was as her mouth was covered with duct tape.
"Man, I'm getting so nostalgic right now." Chucky said, walking towards Karen. "But it's a shame this little family reunion has to be cut short."
Chucky then proceeded to place his knife up close to Karen's neck, making both her and Andy even more fearful for their lives.
"N-no, Chucky. P-please stop."
"Say hi to Mikey for me." Chucky said, ignoring Barclay. With that, Chucky slashed Karen's neck, with her blood spewing all over the room.
"NOOOOO!" Andy screamed as Chucky and Tiffany's evil maniacal laughter echoed…
STAR Labs
Cisco then let go of Andy and Gibb's hands, and Andy started catching his breath, mortified at what he just witnessed.
"How the Hell… did that happen?"
"Must've been how your life changed when Flashpoint happened." Barry guessed. Andy then glared at the speedster before pointing an accusing finger at him.
"Don't you ever fuck with my life again. Got it?!" Andy nearly yelled. Barry nervously nodded.
"What did you see, love?" Constantine asked Gibb.
"A life where… I became a killer." Smith said, also catching her breath. "Jason had gone back to killing teenagers at Camp Crystal Lake… And I was helping him… We even at one point traveled across the world and killed everyone who's survived Jason in the past."
"Do you see now why changing the past can be dangerous?" John asked. Gibb nodded. "Good."
"Alright, let's go." Andy said.
And with that, Barry grabbed a hold of Andy and Cisco, who held onto Gibb while she held onto Constantine, and he sped off, running his way through the multiverse until he eventually found their designated Earth…
Earth-33
Barry, Cisco, Andy, Constantine, and Gibb exited the breach, landing in the middle of a street. As Andy looked around, it didn't take long for him to realize that they were in Los Angeles.
"Great, now where?"
"Now, we go to a bar." Constantine said, and then the five of them started walking across the street.
Now Playing: "Passive" by A Perfect Circle
"Actually, John, I need to know." Andy said. "Did your doppelgänger ever meet me on this Earth?"
"Yes, he did, actually." Constantine replied. "You see, on this Earth, you ended up marrying De Silva and had a daughter named Judy. But then in 2013, Chucky tried to get his hold on her and succeeded by possessing the little girl's mind, turning her into a killer. Luckily, right after you found out Judy was possessed, you ended up calling the other me and he exorcised Chucky out of her with ease."
"Shit, I don't even want to imagine what that was like for the me of this world. Seeing Chucky possess your own flesh and blood." Andy muttered. "And I thought him possessing Alice and Nica was bad."
"I mean, you're not wrong there." Constantine said. Just then they had arrived at an underground club.
Once they had made it downstairs, they were stopped by a security guard, who held up a card with a rather strange image. John didn't have time for this.
"Sod off, mate."
Constantine then punched the man in the face, knocking him out cold. Barry, Cisco, Gibb, and Andy looked confused, but proceeded to follow John through the club. As the song, "Passive" by A Perfect Circle was playing, thousands of people were seen at the club, and as Andy and Gibb looked closely, their eyes either burned red or a very light green.
"Jesus, what the fuck are these?" Andy asked, creeped out.
"The other me prefers to call them half-breeds." Constantine said, before opening a door to the back.
As the five of them went inside, they were met by an African American man with a beard and purple hat. Right beside him was a man in a black suit with a black tie and black hair.
"That's your doppelgänger?" Gibb asked, pointing to the black haired man. "He looks absolutely nothing like you. I expected John Constantine, not John Wick."
"That's what I said." Constantine agreed. "Although if you think I look weird, you should've seen this Earth's version of Chas."
John then took another look at the black man and then smirked.
"Well, well, I never thought I'd ever see you again… Papa Midnite."
"Who are you?" Earth-33 Midnite demanded. "And why do you barge into my house?"
"First off, my name is John Constantine." Constantine said, but then he was interrupted by his doppelgänger.
"No, that's my name!"
"Oh shut it, you fucking Neo reject." Constantine said. "I was going to say: I'm you, but from another Earth."
"Yeah, sure. One where I'm apparently blonde and British." Earth-33 Constantine scoffed.
"Not as weird as the one where you're brunette and American." Gibb commented.
Earth-33 Constantine glared at her, but then he took a closer look at Andy.
"You look familiar."
"My name is Andy Barclay. I believe you've actually met me before." Andy said. "Or at least the me of this Earth. You've helped me get a serial killer's soul out of my daughter's mind five years ago."
"Ah yes. Chucky." Earth-33 Constantine remarked. "One crafty little piece of shit, I must say. I always hate it when stuff like that happens to kids."
"See now that we both share, mate." Constantine said. "Anyways, we need to speak with you for a minute."
"What is it that you want?" Midnite asked.
"We need the Spear of Destiny." Andy explained. "There is a man named Damien Darhk who is after it and wants to destroy our world. We need to find it before he does."
"Well, sorry, but I don't have it." Earth-33 Constantine said. "I gave it to an old friend, Angela Dodson, to hide it from the world, including me."
"Bugger." Constantine said. "Well that's it, thanks. If by chance, you'd like to help us out in this fight, we'd very much appreciate it."
With that, the group then left Midnite's place and went outside.
"So what now?" Barry asked.
"We'll have to go back in time." Andy said. "To the last moment when Constantine gave Angela the Spear."
"Um, how exactly?" Gibb asked. "We don't even have the time ship with us."
"Well, that's why we have speedsters." Andy told her before turning to Barry. "Barry, do your thing."
Nodding, Barry ran around Andy, Constantine, Gibb, and Cisco for a good minute and a half before creating another portal.
"Focus on the point when they last met." Constantine added. "From what I recall, that seems to be the year 2005."
With that, Barry finished creating the portal, picked up Andy, Gibb, Cisco, and Constantine, and traveled to the moment of Earth-33 Constantine's last meeting with Angela Dodson.
2005
The five then arrived at their designated date and found themselves in a very familiar looking hospital. Constantine recognized this place as Ravenscar, or at least the one of this Earth. Just then they saw a woman with red hair and wearing a white shirt who appeared to be in her late 20s or possibly early 30s walking downstairs holding the Spear of Destiny.
"That's her." Constantine said, as the woman walked towards them.
"Who are you?" Angela Dodson asked.
"Skip introductions for now." Andy quickly said. "We need the Spear. Somebody else wants it and he's going to use it to destroy all of humanity."
"Too late!" a familiar voice said from behind Angela. Angela turned around to see Damien Darhk with his eyes glowing blood red. "You know, this was way too easy finding you here. After all, now that I have Mallus's power, I can sense whenever you travel through time."
Barry gritted his teeth and began to speed towards Darhk, but then the sorcerer simply waved his hand, causing Allen to slide to the right and hit a wall.
"Now, where were we?"
Darhk then used his magic to cause the Spear to rip out of Angela's hands and into his own.
"Lovely. Thank you dear, but now I unfortunately have no use for you." Damien said before twisting his hand and snapping Dodson's neck, much to the horror of everyone else.
"Oh God, we're so fucked." Gibb gasped.
"Cisco!" Andy said.
"No need to tell me twice!" Cisco said as he created a breach that brought Barry back to them and created another one that quickly sent them back to Earth-1 before Darhk could do anything to them.
Earth-1, 2005
Barry, Cisco, Gibb, Andy, and Constantine arrived back on Earth-1, but then noticed that something felt… off. They found themselves at a movie theater and as Andy looked around, he noticed that the movie that was playing was "Son of the Mask".
"Shit. We're still in 2005." Andy muttered. "I guess time corresponds with every Earth."
"Nothing I can't fix." Barry said with a smirk on his face.
"Good, because I do not want to watch this horrible film." Gibb commented, pointing to the movie.
Barry then created another breach and pulled everyone through.
Arrowcave, 2018
"So… how did it go?" Lucifer asked as Barry, Cisco, Constantine, and Gibb entered the bunker.
"Not good." Constantine grumbled. "Darhk now has the Spear. And the Necronomicon. And Mallus's power. He has everything he needs to unleash Hell upon the world."
"Well, we'll stop him." Ash declared as he drank a beer. "After all, this isn't my first time fighting demons."
"Mine either." Gibb added. "I've basically been fighting them all my life."
"So, what should we do?" Nica asked.
"We should gather up as many allies as possible." Oliver announced. "We might even need to form an alliance with some of our foes too."
Everyone nodded after he said that. But then, Alice noticed something odd.
"Hey. Where's Uncle Andy?"
Constantine then turned around to see that Andy was not in the bunker.
"That's strange. He was just here with us earlier." Constantine commented.
"Where could he have gone?" William asked.
"I don't know." Nica said. "But Oliver is right. For right now, we need to round up anyone, good or evil, who can help us."
With that, everybody in the bunker went to go pick up anybody that could possibly help them against their upcoming battle with Damien Darhk. All the while, Constantine decided to have a small talk with Gibb.
"Hey." Constantine said, getting Smith's attention. "Are you ready for this?"
"Ready as I'll ever be." Gibb said. "It's yet another rematch with Freddy. What's the worst that can happen?"
"And don't forget about that other guy who might be escaping from Hell." John reminded her.
"Yeah. Jason." Gibb said. "It pains me that I might have to kill him, but if I can't go back in time and save him from drowning, then the least I can do is save him from Darhk's possession, and that might be the only way. And as for Krueger, I've already fought him three times. And I've always come out on top. And now, with my new magic powers and the help of our team, that should be more than enough to beat him again and send him back to Hell where he belongs."
"That's the spirit." Constantine said, grinning as he patted his hand on Gibb's shoulder. "Right. Let's get ready."
A/N: Now for some clarification: First off, what Gibb saw as Cisco vibed her were two fanfics Potsey wrote separate from the Dark Legends Universe called "Gibb's Reunion" and "Jason and Gibb's Killer Road Trip" where Gibb became a killer and teamed up with Jason Voorhees. I've always thought it made sense for those stories to be Gibb's Flashpoint life, so I had to include that here. Hope it makes sense for you too, Potsey.
Secondly, Constantine telling Andy about his life on Earth-33 was a reference to a story called "Return of Chucky" by SSL13. In that fic, Chucky went after Andy's daughter Judy. And, uh, let's just say he kind of won in that story. I've always wanted to see a sequel to that story, but SSL13 just never got around to writing it, so this was my way of rectifying that.
Anyways, we're getting close to the end guys! Get excited for the next chapter as the final battle commences!
