His father was the infamous Gold D. Roger and Ace wanted to be just like him and make his old man proud. When he turned 17 he set out on his own to find his place on the world. After some time of traveling he arrived at Logue town, where his father was executed years ago.

"I'm going to surpass my old man!" He shouted as everyone attention was directed at him. The marines were going wild trying to get him, but Ace was strong he was not getting capture when his adventure was you's getting started.

Some said that he was only a new up coming pirate trying to gain fame. And some other people like the ex-roger pirates were happy to see their Captain first son setting sail!.

While the world was on a big commotion, the marine base was a total mess and Sengoku could barely keep up with all!. The only think that made his day a little bit brighter was Garp choking out with a cracker after reading the news.

Ace on another hand was on the first part of the grand line, causing havock anywhere he went, he didn't care what people said about him. When they send those hateful gazes towards him, but if they even tried to say something about his dad they will end up bet up on the ground.

Ace couldn't take people saying shit about his dad, he yous couldn't! He couldn't blame the man that made his mom so happy as the cause of her death. If someone is to blame was the world itself, that's why he made a bow to overpass his dad and made his name all over the world. So everyone can know that his dad legacy still lives on! Cause not even the world itself can stop him from being free.He was gonna show them that he lived, even after they tried to eradicate the Gol D. lineage.

Remembering the hunt they send towards his little brother still makes his blood boil until now! He wasn't someone of forgiveness or forgetting, that's why he was going to meet up with Red Hair Shanks..

—EAST BLUE YEARS AGO —

Ace was with his brother's going towards the small village called fusha, to visit Makino. Ace was excited to see the woman who help them taking care of his little brother when he was still a baby.

They arrived in the small village and made their way to Makino's bar. Ace ran up to her with a big smile on his face while his brother hung back a bit. Makino welcomed them with open arms and invited them inside. She prepared dinner for them while they caught up on what had been going on in each of their lives.

Suddenly some newcomers enter the bar, better known as the red hair pirates. Ace and Sabo heard a lot from the cabin boy their Dad took in. They always know that they were like sons for his Dad, so that makes Red Hair their big brother! You can't blame them for your nervousness. As for Luffy he didn't know about Shanks, so it's not weird when he starts talking to the pirate-

Ace and Sabo were now frozen body's.

"You're a pirate?" Luffy had never met a real pirate before "Of course" Luffy was so excited he started asking questions about his adventures non-stop " Luffy you're gonna scare him off!" Ace finally stood up "

You kids sure are funny" he said as he tried to contain his laugh " What are your names kids?" Ace and Sabo shared a glare to only share their names and not their full names. But before they could even say their names out loud- "I'm Gol D. Luffy!" that brat!!!! what have they told him about not telling his full name to strangers?! "Nice to meet you Luffy".

Luffy loved listening to shanks tales so it wasn't a surprise that they soon became really close. They went towards Fosha almost daily by now!.

Nothing should unsettle the brothers about Shanks to this point if it weren't for him not bringing up their father when he clearly knows who they are to this point!.

So after a long discussion with Sabo they decided that they would confront him about it.

They did, and things turned out great. Turns out Shanks didn't mention it because he didn't want to intrude too much. He was s a good man, they could see why their father talked so highly about him.

Shanks even was telling them stories about their dad.

— Present time —

The Spade's Pirates were walking through the horrible storm all because his Captain wanted to meet up with Red Hair Shanks and emperor of the sea. Tho says they were on edge was an overestimate, but they wouldn't go against their Captain's wishes even if it meant dealing with one of the most powerful pirates of the era.

"What brings you here fire fist?"

Red hair asked their Captain who stood still and calm for their surprise.

"Let go the formality.You know what i came here for"

They were done for.

"So he told you..."

Ace bowed at response

"Thanks for saving our little brother's life! If it weren't for you we would have lost him. Thanks for doing what we couldn't "

At that Red hair began laughing so hard that it could probably be heard from miles away

"You don't need to thank me for anything kiddo! What are big brothers for anyway?"

Red hair did has a point! Older brothers have to look out for their younger siblings, how couldn't their captain see this? — Deuce thought for a moment until reality hit him — WAIT! BROTHER? !.The spade pirates stared in shock at their Captain! Who could blame them? after all, they have discovered that their Captain was the brother of Red Hair Shanks!.

"You didn't told them?" yeah he didn't! Of course their Captain wouldn't tell them that Red Hair Shanks, one of the most influential pirates of the era is his brother! "Oh right! Guys this is Shanks my okder brother!" that jackass has the decency to say it while laughing! like it was suppose to be funny?! "Wait! does that mean that Shanks is also the pirate king son?" one of the spades said. And before anyone could enter on shock, Ace made sure to clear up the situation " Our father adopted Shanks so that makes him our brother an that's all that matter. If anyone dares to question it" Ace look made everyone freeze. It was a look that said: i will totally make you want to never be born at all "Ace we really need context about why we came here to talk to your brother" Ace looked at deuce, before agreeing "Our grandparent used to train us at a very young age." Ace shiver at the thought of one of Garps trainings" In one of those training's we had to leave our brother back at a village for a day. Shanks was using that village as a base for a time so Luffy wasn't bored at all. I came here to thank Shanks cause that day our brother was almost killed and Shanks gaved his arm for him" everyone was staring at Shanks with open eyes. Deuce finally understood why the urge for seeing Shanks. That man loved to brag about his brother's so it wasn't weird to believe he would have gone to thanks that man for saving someone so important in his life as his brother.

Some time after meeting Shanks their captain won a battle versus Jimbe. He was exhausted after days of fighting non-stop, so when he saw the whitebeard pirates arrive he didn't think twice and made a wall out of fire "ALL OF YOU RUN AWAY" whitebeard stared at Ace as he said "You seem to lose a nerve there?" Ace gave the man a determined look " Let my man go and in exchange... I WON'T RUN!!" the spades started screaming at their captain in pledge to let them fight with him at his side "TIME AND TIME AGAIN..."Deuce couldn't keep it any longer "YOU ALWAYS RUSH A LONG INTO DANGER ON YOUR OWN!!" he had enough of Ace's stubbornness "YOU KNOW HOW MUCH IT COST YOU TO DEFEAT JIMBE! HOW EXACTLY ARE YOU GOING TO WIN AGAINST THAT MONSTER!!?" he screamed with all he had "THIS IS NOT THE TIME FOR YOUR CHILDISH STUBBORNNESS! DON'T GO WHERE WE CANNOT FOLLOW!!" why can't he see that? Why does he need to be so- "WHO EVEN CARES ABOUT THE TOP!! WHAT KIND OF TREASURE WOULD YOU EVEN FIND WHEN YOU GET THERE?!" what could mean so much to Ace that he was so stubborn to give up? "YOU DON'T NEED TO SURPASS YOUR FATHER!! SO PLEASE...RUN AWAY NOW!!" Ace took a breath before with not a single piece of regret say "Do i seem like a weakling?" The spades roared in agreement with his captain "Can you hear that Deuce? i will not lose" tears started running away from his eyes with every word his captain said "If i can have what i want..THEN I'M WILLING TO PUT MY LIFE ON THE LINE FOR IT!!!" The full firce determination on Ace's voice would be enough for anyone to believe that he will do it " How else am i supposed to let the world know i lived? I won't regret dying then" Deuce started walking away from the fire "WERE YOU ALL JUST PLANNING TO STAND HERE AND WATCH!? LET'S GO BACK TO THE SPADILLE-GO, MANEUVER AROUND TO THE BACK OF THAT BIG SHIP AND GET THE JUMP ON THEM FROM BEHIND!" We'll be able to do more at sea so don't start getting to cooky cause I'm not leaving you behind Ace!.

"Gurarara you sure have some reliable crewmates there! They seem to admire you quite a lot..." Whitebeard seemed quite amazed at this newbie crew "IF YOU CAN STILL SPEAK...STATE YOUR NAME!" He roared for a name and Ace was giving him one " GOL D. ACE!!!" he was not ashamed of it "GREAT FLAME COMMANDMENT!!".

When Ace woke up he was on whitebeard ship, and that could only mean one thing. He was defeated.
