Disclaimer: In case you're wondering, yes; this is the PPX equivalent of Pups Save a Show, or whatever that episode where Chase got Laryngitis was called. I know it was a play in the show, but just because I'm adapting it into PPX, doesn't mean I have to make a perfect remake of the episode. I hope you guys enjoy what I did here differently too.

Also, I don't own Paw Patrol.

Paw Patrol X

Friend or Foe arc Episode thirteen: Two Knights, One Stage

The Paw Patrol were designing a LARP setup in Adventure Bay, and the stage had a grand looking medieval setting thanks to their work. That could be because the two pups who were hardest at work, Skye and Sweetie, were rather tenacious in getting the project done. Thanks to them, and the help of everyone else, they were able to add in a castle prop, along with a tower prop for the stage. There was all kinds of normal sized medieval props there too. Skye was quick to thank Sweetie for the help after they looked over it. "Thanks Sweetie. Amy's gonna love this."

"The pleasure was mutual Skye." Sweetie assured Skye as she admired her diamond tiara in the mirror. After closing it, she looked at Skye with a smile of clear passion. "I was always a pup for the spotlight. I'm not a singer however, so good thing this is unscripted."

Skye giggled a bit in response as she noticed Chase coming over to them and hopped onto the stage to greet him. "Hello knight in shining armor! I bet you're excited to see how your butt looks in that armor."

"Especially since it's for you baby." Chase kissed Skye lovingly, although, then he coughed into his paw and revealed something to Skye about something he was going through right now. "That said Skye, I got this cough about an hour ago. I thought it'd go away sooner, but since it hasn't, I felt I should let you know in case we end up having to go through with Marshall taking over my roll."

Skye couldn't help worrying about Chase after he told her that, and she was quick to let him know he'd be there for her. "Don't you worry sweetheart. Your health comes first." Skye kissed Chase's cheek as she then looked to Sweetie to see what else she had in mind for the LARP. "That reminds me Sweetie. Do you think there's anything we can add to Chase's armor to make it suit him more?"

Sweetie tried to think about that for a moment, and as they did, Marshall and Claw were heard calling out to them. "Look out!" When the other pups looked, the Dalmatian and Doberman were revealed to be sliding over to them on some kind of mat. They stopped right at the end of the stage with Sweetie ducking to avoid the two crashing into her.

Marshall and Claw landed on the pavement with Claw face planting and Marshall landing on his back, leading to Marshall speaking up for them as the two got up. "We're okay!"

Chase, Skye, and Sweetie laughed in response to the wipeout as Flare ran over in a pretty looking mage costume in the hopes that Skye would let him wear it. "Hey Skye! Could I pleeeease wear this mage costume? I feel way more comfortable in it than that knight armor. (Looks at Claw) No offense Claw."

Claw shrugged in response with Skye being conflicted on whether or not she should let Flare wear the mage outfit. "I dunno Flare. This one in particular was made with a female pup in mind."

"Doesn't mean it CAN'T work for me! And it'd be so cool to wave that wand around!" Flare assured Skye happily, and before Skye could think of anything else to say, Flare burst out his please face to increase his chances at her saying yes. As Skye was about to give in however, Chase coughed into his arm again, prompting Flare to ask about it. "You okay Chase?"

"I sure hope so." Chase admitted, sounding a little raspier, but still enough like himself to cover it up. "Just hoping this ends soon."

Skye rubbed Chase's chin for support as she then decided it was best to let Flare wear what he wanted. Good thing it was unscripted too, or else this would take even longer to pull off. "It's all yours Flare."

"Yay!" Flare hugged Skye, who was glad to have pleased Flare as he thanked her for saying yes. "Thanks Skye! I'll be the coolest mage ever!" Skye patted Flare's back as Flare then went over to Snow to let her know. "She said yes Snow! The paladin costume is yours!" Skye then gave a giggle that showed she should've known that was part of the reasons Flare wanted to wear the mage outfit.

Sweetie looked around to see what else she could do, and she saw Everest seeing how she looked in her Princess dress in a mirror. She got an idea in mind and decided to act upon it after getting Claw's attention. "Say. Isn't that the girl you like?" Claw flinched when Sweetie mentioned his crush on Everest, and she ignored his signals to stop whatever she was about to do. All he could do was watch and hope Sweetie didn't make things worse When she walked up to Everest, Sweetie greeted the conflicted Husky proudly. "Greetings Everest."

Everest stopped looking in the mirror and gave Sweetie her full attention, still being conflicted about her role. "Hi Sweetie. I could use your help with something. Do you think I look good in this Princess outfit?" Sweetie observed the outfit, and Everest then expressed her conflicted thoughts. "I mean, I know Skye's playing a Princess too, so I'm not alone in the role, but I never saw myself wearing something like this."

"I'd say it fits you. Skye was smart enough to make it white after all." Everest saw Sweetie's point and smiled, and then she went ahead and asked her question. "Regarding that role, how do you feel about being able to kiss one of the knights in the LARP?"

Everest thought about the two knights at the moment, and felt she'd be most comfortable with it under the circumstances she picked. "I guess it would be okay if it were Claw." Sweetie was pleased with that answer. At least it meant Claw was more likely to get the kiss. "Even if Skye's okay with it since it's just for the LARP, I wouldn't wanna kiss her boyfriend."

"Of course; that makes perfect sense." Sweetie assured Everest, knowing that her desire was more than honorable to Skye.

Everest then had a genuine question in mind regarding the dare Claw gave to Sweetie last month. "If you don't mind me asking Sweetie, have you ever performed before?" Sweetie nodded her head yes proudly, and then Everest went in for the question she hoped didn't offend her. "I figured. Have you ever...? ya know..."

Everest pointed to her own backside to let Sweetie know what she was talking about, and being disgusted by the thought of it, Sweetie instantly rejected it. "Of course not! I don't even like expelling natural functions in front of Claw; I wouldn't be stupid enough to do it on a stage in front of everyone." Sweetie then turned around, and as she looked back at Everest, her butt was shown as it was pointed at her, "Now, if you'll excuse me," and as Sweetie took a fierce step forward, she accidentally released...

PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT

...a loud and bassy thirty second fart directly into Everest's face, making her butt vibrate as the yellow cloud of rotten eggs made Everest cough and gag. Sweetie quickly walked away while blushing, and when she walked back over to a snickering Claw, she gave him the news. "Good news is, Everest would prefer kissing you to Chase. Bad news is... obvious." The other pups around Sweetie couldn't help laughing in response to that, and Sweetie blushed while giving a fierce growl. The only good thing about this to Sweetie was that this time, she wasn't wearing the suit that showed off her butt.

Later that day, Marshall was helping Everest wash in the bathing room that was close to the stage the pups were using. Marshall couldn't help joking about the predicament Everest found herself in. "Never thought I'd see the day a royal diva would go all 'commoner' as they would put it."

Everest smiled in response to Marshall's joke and brought up how surprising Sweetie was in terms of her gas. "I never would've expected it from Sweetie either." Claw was spying on Marshall and Everest, peeking through the door to the washrooms so they wouldn't see him. "At least we know she holds it in on stage."

Claw couldn't help growling as Marshall and Everest started laughing; not because of them joking about Sweetie, but because of him and Marshall sharing feelings for Everest. Before he could go back to eavesdropping however, Sweetie spoke up from behind him to catch his attention. "Creeper much step-brother?"

Claw flinched and looked back at Sweetie, denying doing anything creepy there. "N-n-no! The washroom's public!" Sweetie raised an eyebrow to Claw, who then sighed and admitted what he was doing. After he knew no one else would hear them of course. "Okay, fine. Marshall likes Everest too, and my anxiety's kicking in because of it." Claw then expressed a remorseful side to the equation to help Sweetie better understand this. "And Marshall was so nice about it when we learned about our mutual love for her. How do I handle this the way he is?"

"Well, not stalking them for starters." Sweetie pointed out, and Claw sighed as Sweetie then gave him some advice on the matter. "That said, you could use the LARP to help you. After all, she's the Princess, and you're a knight." Sweetie gave claw a sly grin as he realized what she meant. "You could turn the tides with just one, simple, kiss."

Claw liked the sound of that, and as Marshall and Everest left, the former joked about Sweetie's fart odor. "You really shocked us Sweetie. That wash took longer than I thought!"

Sweetie flinched and snapped at Marshall while blushing bright red just as Flare was shown running down the hall looking worried. "Shut up Marshall!"

"Marshall! Everest! Claw! Sweetie!" Flare ran over to the four pups he just mentioned, and they all gave him his attention as he expressed worry over what'd happened. "Chase's cough from earlier has turned into full blown Lar-ig-nitis? Whatever it's called, you guys have to see!" The others became worried for Chase once Flare filled them in and rushed off to see what he was talking about.

Skye was holding Chase's paw as he lied in bed with Ryder checking his temperature as the rest of the pups arrived. When they got there, Richie explained the situation to the four who weren't there the first time. "There you pups are. Chase's cough got worse, so I called mom to postpone the LARP until we figured out what to do."

"Ryder, Richie, and I think it might be Laryngitis." Rocky explained as Chase coughed again, sounding wheezier than before.

Skye whimpered when she saw how down he looked but Sweetie had another thought in mind. "During the LARP setup, AND with a lead role!?" The other pups were surprised to see this with Sweetie flipping a small table next to his bed as she told him off for it. "You're supposed to be the pup all about duty Chase! This, is, highly, unprofessional!"

"Sweetie! Heel!" Caiohme demanded sternly, making Sweetie grumble as she crossed her arms. Caiohme then calmed her voice and reminded Sweetie that this wasn't Chase's fault. "I know this isn't ideal Sweetie, but Chase's health is more important than a Live Action Role Play." Chase instantly felt awful for what this meant. "You shouldn't take it out on him."

Chase sat up and spoke the best he could to Ryder about his dilemma. Despite his voice being raspy at the moment, his words were clear enough to convey how bad he felt about letting Skye down. "Ryder! Skye appointed me as one of the knights in her play! I can't back out now!" Chase coughed in his arm again, and Marshall brought over some water to help him. "Thanks Marshall."

Chase drank the water Marshall got for him with Ryder rubbing his head worriedly as he let him know that playing his part wasn't an option for him. "Sorry buddy. Your health comes first. You're gonna have to sit out of this." Chase looked to Skye remorsefully while mouthing a silent apology to her, and she silently mouthed to him that it's okay.

The others felt bad for Chase, since he really wanted to do this; both for Skye, and because he thought it would be fun. Zuma then said something that caught Flare's attention. "Sowwy Chase dude. If only we had a role that didn't need a buttload of speaking."

Flare then got an idea from what Zuma said there, and he quickly let the others know that he was on it. "There just might be Zuma!"

Flare rushed over to the props with Marshall running over to him after everyone else wondered what he was doing. "I can't see Chase playing a different role Flare. Unless he can somehow learn to talk from his butt."

Chase looked down at his butt while lifting the left side of it with an intrigued grin, but as he was about to test it, Snow gave a deadpan rejection the idea "No.", leaving Chase to then sitting on his butt in disappointment.

Flare pulled out a hospital robe prop as he responded to Marshall. "We'll try that another time!" Flare ran over to Chase and gave him the hospital robe. "Chase; put this on."

Chase shrugged and put it on with Ryder catching onto Flare's plan rather quickly. "Ah, I see what you're doing here Flare. But Chase still can't-"

"He doesn't have to!." Flare assured Ryder cheerfully, and then he explained what he had in mind as he picked up a rusted up knight head prop that was nearby. "What's one of many ages that had throat related diseases? The medieval times!" Flare brought the knight head over to Chase and set it down on his chest. "And what country does the LARP take place in that lost seventy five to eighty percent of it's population from that stuff? Florence! So Florence, plus someone surviving something like that, equals something new we could do!"

Chase liked the sound of that and happily nodded his head yes to Ryder, who started to think about how that could work. "I guess Chase could stay in bed for his role."

"Taking a setback and turning into something that benefits everyone!" Rocky offered Flare a hi paw as he complimented him on that move. "Brilliant Flare!"

Sweetie had to admit; she was impressed. "Yeah. Not bad." Even if now, she was starting to feel bad for snapping at Chase over a fixable problem.

Flare hi fived Rocky as Claw then brought up something else that they needed to fix. "We'll still need someone to fit Chase's role though."

"That's right. But who would be the best pick?" Marshall asked, and Flare instantly looked at Marshall with a cheerful smile, making Marshall confused. As Chase and Everest looked at him next, he chuckled as he further questioned the idea. "Guys? Hehe." Marshall then gave a fearful look as he relaized what his friends could mean. "You can NOT be serious."

The next shot revealed Marshall in the knight costume Chase was supposed to wear, closing his eyes with a look of clear worry. "Aaaaand you were serious."

The other pups were helping Marshall feel better about this before the show came on with Flare doing something with his mage wand. "With the power of my awesome, butt zapping mage wand..." Marshall caught onto what Flare was doing and let him bonk his head lightly to finish the deed. "I give Marshall the courage to make an awesome performance on stage!"

Marshall couldn't help smiling at Flare's attempt to help him, even if it didn't help by much. "Thanks Flare, but I don't think that'll stop me from freezing up out there." And then Marshall started listing off the other things that could happen out there. "Or farting on stage, or tripping and messing up what I'm gonna do next, or-"

"You'll do great Marshall." Everest assured Marshall, knowing he had what it took to play the role of a knight. "And don't forget that you have free reign to be as silly of a knight as you want. Your stage wipe outs could even be seen as a part of your character.

Marshall saw Everest's point, and he hoped that would be able to help him. "That's true. And there's... something else that could help me stage a level head."

Marshall and Everest laughed at the puns with the others being quick to call him out on it. "Marshall!"

And after the rest of the pups laughed, Marshall and Everest smiled at each other with Everest putting a paw on Marshall's shoulder. "Like I said. You'll do great." The sight of what looked like puppy dog eyes made Claw feel anxious again. And he still couldn't figure out why it was so hard to shake this feeling off.

Early in the evening, after the pups had their dinner, the LARP had begun, and all of Adventure Bay was there to see what it was all about. The pups who were currently acting were Marshall and Claw, and the former was trying hard not to crack under stage freight pressure. Doing his best to ignore the crowd and focus on the show, he looked to Claw with his best attempt at a heroic grin. "N-no need to f-fear Arno! The P-princesses won't meet their f-fates to that evil d-d-dragon!"

Claw couldn't help snickering at the sight of this with the crowd noticing Marshall's mood as he responded. "Perhaps you wetting your trousers is a much bigger catastrophe for us Ezio!" Marshall couldn't help but blush and chuckle nervously upon hearing Claw's joke at his expense.

Claw started to laugh with the others watching from behind. Everest couldn't help but ask why Claw was acting like this. "Why's Claw acting like this?"

"I have no idea." Sweetie answered sarcastically, throwing a soda bottle behind her and sending it staight for a lamp that broke upon impact.

Zuma had his own worry in mind for what could happen to Marshall. "Poow Mawshall. Next thing ya know they're pwobably gonna boo him off the stage." Zuma then shuddered upon saying that word with Rocky putting a paw on his shoulder for comfort as he looked at him. "And yes; I still hate that word."

Marshall was now wielding his sword as he encountered a goblin of sorts with Claw standing beside him. "So Ezio. How do you propose we deal with this worthless scum?"

"Um..." Marshall tried to think of how to progress the LARP, and he slowly walked over to the goblin while raising his sword. "Stab it?"

Marshall stabbed the goblin gently and caused it to go down. Despite being bored, Claw walked up to Marshall and acknowledged that it worked. "That worked. For you." Marshall winced in response, wishing he knew why Claw was being such a jerk. Even if it was a LARP, he felt there was something else going on. At least the crowd was laughing at the antics rather than at Marshall himself.

The next scene involved Skye's character taking care of the new role Chase had while preparing him a cup of water. Chase was on a little bed to help with his throat. "Oh, my sweet Altair. How I wish we could speak to one another like we used to." Chase was smiling as Skye brought him his water, showing that he did in fact like the new role Flare came up for him. "Despite missing your wonderful voice, having you here after the battle that led to our capture is more than reward enough." Chase drank the water as Skye continued to admire him. "No matter what we face... my love for you is eternal. Until the end, and evermore, as you used to say."

Chase and Skye looked at each other lovingly, but as they did, Skye's butt was shown in the Princess dress Flare wore for the Truth or Dare as she accidentally cracked...

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT

...a loud and bassy twenty second fart that made her butt vibrate as she unleashed a big green cloud of rotten carrots. Despite Sweetie face palming at the sight of Skye of all canines farting on stage, the crowd laughed at the sudden impact of it, making her slightly relieved. Skye blushed nervously and chuckled as she looked at Chase while wafting the fart away with her butt. "Apologies my love. Natural or not, I know many would loathe to have the mood spoiled like that." To show that he didn't mind it, Chase gave a sly grin to Skye, and lifting the left side of his butt, he cut...

PHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHT

...a loud and bassy thirty second fart that unleashed a yellow cloud of rotten eggs while also making Chase's butt vibrate upon release. The crowd couldn't help covering their noses after that one, and Skye rolled her eyes while smiling, finding it silly that she needed to be reminded of who she was with. "Of course. You never cease to remind me." Everest was with them in the room, and she wafted the gas away to avoid passing out. Skye saw her family in the crowd and gave a nervous smile when waving to Amy, who smiled back. The way she looked showed that she still had cancer, but was recovering.

In a later scene for the LARP, Marshall and Claw were venturing through the forest to get to the castle, and Claw got an idea when he saw some slime on stage. As Marshall was looking for where to go next, Claw threw some slime at him and hit him on the back of his armor. It didn't get the reaction he expected however. Marshall instead turned around and smiled a she called Claw out. "Cheap shot Arno!"

Claw was disappointed by his action not getting the response he wanted, but he still took the time to play along for the LARP. "Ya call THAT cheap?" He threw some more slime at Marshall, who ducked underneath it and announced an idea. "Whoever covers other in more slime, gets all of the loser's money when this quest is over!"

"You're on!" Marshall and Claw then started throwing slime at each other with both of them having done throwing and dodging slime. It made Claw feel bad about what he was trying to do however. Was it really worth it to make Marshall look bad if he was being this good of a sport? Did he really deserve Everest if he was going to be this petty about it? He couldn't linger on it for long however, as Marshall managed to hit him in the face with some of the slime. This brought him back to reality as Marshall playfully taunted him. "Don't let your guard down now Arno! I just might cause you to go broke!"

"Then it's a good thing I didn't apply our reward into this!" Claw threw some more slime at Marshall, who dodged it with Claw then tackling him and pinning him to the ground. He slammed some slime onto the laughing Dalmatian's face while laughing himself, and Marshall then hit him with some slime right back. Despite what was going on in Claw's head, he was still glad to be having fun with Marshall during the LARP.

Flare was then having a scene with Snow and Sweetie, where the three of them were working on crafting the weakness for the creature they had to take down. Flare was holding his wand over the pot that Sweetie was brewing something in, and Snow pointed out how he wasn't actually doing proper mage work. "That's not even what mages do Claudia. You're supposed to actually cast some spells."

"I'll get to that when I can Cassandra." Flare assured Snow, and then she looked to Sweetie to see how she felt the potion was doing. "Speaking of, you're the one doing all the hard work Evie. How do you think the potion's doing?"

"If we time this right, we should be able to use the potion right as Ezio and Arno get to the castle and face the dragon." Sweetie answered, feeling confident that the two would come out on top. "And even with Altair trapped with Sofia and Maria, we should still have a decent chance at making sure that dragon stays out of our way forever." Sweetie then muttered under her breath to avoid letting the crowd see it. "That is, if a certain someone can get over their desire to mark their territory on the stage."

Flare looked through a make believe window, indicating that he had a clear view of the castle the others were trapped in. "You must have confidence Evie." Flare looked to Sweetie with a confident smile as he reminded her of something important. "My brother wouldn't be out there if he wasn't capable."

Sweetie saw Flare's point as Snow then brought up something else regarding this topic. "And Ezio's gotten much better at not freezing up. You'd have to be blind or just ignoring his progress to miss it." Sweetie smiled in response to the optimistic words and went back to finishing her potion brew.

Chase, Skye, and Everest were shown to still be trapped in the castle as Everest noticed Skye reading something to herself. She couldn't help but get curious with how bored she was in the cell. "What's that?"

Skye looked to Everest and smiled bashfully as she explained what she was reading. "It's just a song I planned for Altair for after we made it home."

"Oooh, a lyricist I see." Everest wasn't surprised to see someone other than Zuma fill this role. The role Zuma actually got would've made that harder to pull off with him. "You can share it now if you like. There's no one in the castle except the three of us."

Skye was hesitant however, as she knew the times were dire. "I don't know. It's soft enough to avoid being heard, but I don't know if it's a good time. And I'd need some music. Maybe a harp." Chase surprised the girls by pulling out a harp himself, handing it to Skye so she could play her song for them. "Thank you sweetheart."

Chase gave a paw kiss and blow to Skye, who giggled in response as Everest gave some words of support. "I think that's mute Altiar for 'I'll love anything you make for me.'. Either that or he's saying he loves you."

Skye looked at the harp, and then she looked to Chase, and then to Everest. They both seemed genuine about this. "Do you really think it's a good time?"

"Trust me Maria. It's the perfect time. At least for a rehearsal." Everest put a paw on Skye's shoulder, and Skye was glad to see that they were both fond of this idea. After looking down at the harp for a bit, she smiled and started playing. She was pretty good at it too, and Everest was quick to point it out. "See?"

Skye continued to play the harp for a little longer, and after a couple more seconds, she started to sing My Canine Knight. "Oh, my one true shining knight... how my love for you shines ever bright. Even when things get hard, my love for you is always in sight." Chase and Everest were already taking a liking to the song, which pleased Skye quite a bit. "I may not be very strong... and some moments with me could feel long. But you always, stand beside me, and it never once feels wrong."

Claw was behind the stage listening with the others as he noticed just how much Skye truly loved Chase as she continued singing. "You always prove yourself to be brave... and are the opposite of a knave. Not once did you help someone, with the impression of a slave." It started to make him feel bad about how he was handling this whole love triangle thing again. As he thought about this, Skye was shown singing again. "Every day, I can feel your love... and it fits like the perfect glove. And it shines even brighter, than any of the stars above."

Chase was incredibly touched by the song Skye was singing for him as she continued to sing what she saw in him. "You may not be the cleanest canine... but that erases no love of mine. Because even through your most foul moments, our mutual love will always shine." Everest loved what she was hearing too, wishing she could have someone she could show her love for like that someday. "And your confidence can stand in the way... but I can get through that kind of day. Because I know that your strong loyalty, and noble heart, will never... decay."

Skye played for a few more seconds, and she started singing again to finish her song on the final note. "You may not be perfect, that is true... but I am making this vow to you. I will help you strive to be, the best you can be, as I strive for that in myself too." Skye looked at Chase with loving eyes, and he gave her the same loving eyes, despite coughing into his arm right before the last verse. Everest handed him some water as Skye finished her song. "How my love for you shines ever bright... no matter what, it's always in sight."

As Chase drank the water, Skye finished her song with a genuine, heartfelt note to end the soft and romantic song on. "I just feel it, in my heart, that you'll always be, my... canine... kniiiiiiight." Skye finished playing the harp, and everyone started cheering after hearing the song. Chase couldn't kiss Skye because of his Laryngitis, but he still hugged her when she came in close, showing how much she appreciated it. Zuma was watching as well, and Skye winked to him as a thanks for helping him with this. He happily winked back, glad he could be of assistance there.

Marshall and Claw were currently fighting the dragon near the end of the LARP as Flare, Snow, and Sweetie tried to aim their potion just right. Rocky and Zuma were also shown to be playing the dragon, and with Zuma playing the front end, Rocky just couldn't help tickling his butt with his nose on the back end. Zuma tried to hold in his giggle so he could keep playing the role seriously. He gave his best dragon roar as a rock flew to Marshall, who slashed at it with ease, breaking it in half. Claw then slashed at another rock that came for them just in time.

After Flare cast a spell on the potion to give it extra accuracy, Snow threw it at the dragon, causing it to be weakened immensely. Marshall and Claw nodded to each other, and the two pups charged at the dragon with Marshall's sword. The dragon, being helpless to do anything, stood completely still as the two pups laid the final blow. He then laid out a defeated roar as he fell to the ground. Having saved the day, Marshall and Claw hi fived and went for the cage Chase, Skye, and Everest were in.

Chase, Skye, and Everest were in awe at the sight of the heroes winning, and once they got there, they unlocked the cell. Everest instantly hugged the two, and she looked at Marshall after the hug was over, making it obvious to Claw who she was more interested in. Seeing Claw's hurt look however, Everest was hesitant to act upon her feelings. Thankfully, Marshall tried to make the first move, but as he began to lean in for the kiss, he cut...

PHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHT

...a loud and bassy twenty second fart that reeked of moldy cheese, and as the green cloud left his vibrating butt and the echoing armor, Marshall blushed in embarrassment. He then gave a nervous chuckle as Everest rolled her eyes while smiling, leaving Marshall to crack a joke about it. "Whenever you're in trouble... just fart for help?" The five pups then laughed off the joke, and as Sweetie watched, she was just relieved that the LARP wasn't ruined by Marshall's ill-timed flatulence. She could certainly see part of why Claw liked them. They were very gassy as well.

Later that night, the pups were cleaning everything up after the LARP with Claw walking up to Marshall as he handed Sweetie the armor he wore back. He wanted to talk about what happened with him during the LARP. "Hey Marshall?" Marshall looked at Claw, and he could tell that he felt bad about earlier. "You aren't mad at me, are you?"

"No, just a little confused." Marshall admitted, knowing that Claw was better than how he acted during the LARP. "What happened during some of our scenes? You usually have a clear cut reason when you start acting out."

Flare was taking the mage costume back to Skye and Sweetie as he overheard Claw apologizing to Marshall for the incident. "I'm sorry I was such a butt in those moments." Flare leaned against the wall, doing his best not to make a sound as he overheard what Claw was saying. "I've been trying my best to handle us both liking Everest the way you are, but I just can't. Every time the thought of her loving someone else enters my mind, my anxiety kicks in. I have no idea how you deal with that."

Marshall could definitely understand that. This type of stuff affected everyone differently. He hoped his advice would help Claw out in the long run. "Look at it this way Claw. You and Everest have become really good friends over the course of you staying with us, right?"

"We have." Claw admitted, and then he thought about last week. "And it feels like we really have fun together when I'm around her."

"Exactly. And Everest is really sweet, right?" Claw nodded his head yes, seeing Marshall's point as he let the Dalmatian finish what he had to say. "Then by that logic, we could come to the conclusion that Everest won't want either of us out of her life if she likes someone else."

Claw still felt anxious about losing Everest, but he had to admit that Marshall's logic felt sound. "You're not wrong there. I just wish that helped me." Marshall put a paw on Claw's shoulder, letting him know that he was there if he needed to talk. The smile he gave to Claw made the Doberman smile back. It was clear that the two of them were still good friends, even after today.

Flare couldn't help smiling upon the sight of his two friends bonding, only for Marshall to give him a smug grin as he looked in his direction. It was clear that he'd felt Flare's very presence in the room the moment he started eavesdropping on him and Claw. "You can come out now Flare."

Flare flinched and started giggling as he brought the mage costume over to Marshall and Claw. "I couldn't help myself."

"I know buddy." Marshall rubbed Flare's head as he let him know how well he did in the LARP today. "Still, you did good today Flare. Both in the LARP, and out of it."

"You did really good too." Flare informed Marshall, being proud of him for getting closer to getting over his stage fright. "You got a step closer to being comfortable with performing today. I just helped Chase find a new role that'd work for his sore throat." Little did Flare know that Chase was being tended to by Skye and Ryder in the nearby resting room when he said that. Flare may not know it now, but Chase saw today that no matter how small a problem may be, he was there to help. That was a level of charity he could respect in anyone.

Rock music played as Zuma started speaking in regards to what was going to happen in the next part of the next chapter with specific moments being shown. "It's that time of the yeaw again evewyone! Time to get your Apwil Fools Day on! Don't expect me to be holding back with any of these pwanks either.
