While getting the turrets, Naomi overheard two Sumeragi soldiers talking and dedicded to listen in on their conversation.
"I heard there's a rumor going around that one of the scientists that died was revived recently." The first soldier stated.
"Yeah, I hard he worked at the old S-FIT." The second soldier added.
"They're trying to find and hire him back." The first soldier confirmed.
"Wasn't he the lead scientist working on Project Gunvolt with Takefutsu when the building was incinerated?" The second soldier remembered.
"That was the reason the building was obliterated." The first soldier confimred.
"But they have that file he worked on too right?" The second soldier pondreed.
"It's at S-FIT right now, they're sending copies of the data here in case the building goes up in smoke again." The first soldier explained.
'I'm so gonna hate myself for the rest a my life for doin this but I gotta say somethin.' Naomi thought before teleporting back to the sanatorium and walking down to the basement.
"Um, there's a teensy tinsy problem, the Sumeragi's looking to hire you back to work at S-FIT." Naomi notified.
"Working for the Sumeragi wasn't something I wanted to do. However, since your mother has connections, I thought it would be better to work for the Sumeragi." Dr. Kamizono elucidated.
"But you hate Adepts, yet you aided in the creation of them, why's that?" Naomi pondered.
"I've worked in all of the departmens at S-FIT, the last one I worked in was the institute of human evolution. I hoped someone would take my place but it never happened. So I just continued with the research." Dr. Kamizono stated.
Naomi nodded before going upstairs.
'Well at least I don't have ta worry bout that. And I got some new info so that's cool.' Naomi grinned before calling Jeremy from her computer.
"Ay, just wanted ta see how the search was treatin ya. So, anythin new?" Naomi greeted.
"I think I've found something of use. It seems Tyron worked on Project Gunvolt for a little bit." Jeremy notified.
"I know, I met 'im one time too when I was smaller, don't wanna see 'im ever again." Naomi commented.
"Well, there seems to be a file on him, it's quite extensive too. I'm sending you the link now." Jeremy added as a link appeared on Naomi's screen.
After clicking the link, Naomi found that Tyron was adapting the research from Project Gunvolt to power his supercomputer. After asking the Sumeragi for help, they refused. The top brass deemed the idea 'not worthy of their time' and 'too costly'. In a rebellion, Tyron quit, the last day anyone saw him was on June 25, 1993.
"T-this is insane, do the others know bout this? Might be a good idea ta tell Aelita, since she's stuck in the middle a this mess an all." Naomi remarked.
"I'll tell the others later, but for right now we need those turrets in place in case anyone decides to show up. Sumeragi, police or otherwise." Jeremy informed.
"Aight, I get the picture, I'm on my way now." Naomi confirmed before ending the call and teleporting to the factory.
The others reached the factory and saw Naomi working on the first turret.
"Do you want a soda? It might help with the heat." Ulrich offered.
"Sure, havin Angered Explosion helps but I wish I had a Septima to combat the heat." Naomi rambled.
Ulrich went off to Kadic to get a soda while Naomi kept welding.
"You do realize that you need a special mask to weld with to prevent yourself from going blind right?" Jeremy stated.
"Yeah, but when you're usin Septimas, it's different." Naomi elucidated.
"I'm back! I got the soda!" Ulrich shouted.
Naomi climbed down the ladder, took the soda and gave Ulrich change for the soda.
"You know you don't have to pay me back for that soda right?" Ulrich added.
"Yeah, but it makes me feel better and there ain't much that does that." Naomi assured.
"Thanks for putting up the turrets, it'll make sure the factory is guarded even when we're gone." Jeremy thanked.
"No prob, but it's gonna take a while ta put up the rest a 'em." Naomi sighed.
"Is there any way you can think to get this to go quicker?" Yumi wondered.
"As crazy as it sounds I was thinkin bout askin Copen since he's got that Blazing Ballista attack based off Angered Explosion. It'd weld the turrets right inta place instantly." Naomi explained.
"He already knows about the factory and Lyoko so it'd be a good idea. We need all the help we can get right now after all." Yumi agreed.
