"What the heck! You gave me a heart attack for no reason!" frisk angrily lashed at the monster
"Heh sorry pal, it seems I have rattled your bones. You're a human right?"
"No, I'm a dog in the body of a human." Frisk´s voice oozed with sarcasm
"It seems you're funny bone's broken. The name's sans the skeleton."
"Frisk, Uhm, do you know a way out of the underground?"
"If I did monsters wouldn't be trapped now would we?"
Right
[you asked that?]
"Don't tell anyone I was here ok?" Frisk said with a smile.
"I'm supposed to be on the lookout for humans."
"Ah."
Those who climb Mt. Ebot never come back… is he the reason?
"But I don't care about capturing anyone. Now my brother, papyrus… he's a human-hunting FANATIC."
The color drained from Frisk's face, he was on the verge of losing control of the curse.
"Hey, I think that's him over there."
"Help…" Frisk said in a low whisper.
"Heh, don't worry, quick go through this gate thingy, my brother made it too big to stop anyone."
… is this a ruse…? Well, I can always try again, if he tricks me ill just punch him in the face!
[This just turned interesting, what will you do if you get caught?]
"Quick! Behind the conveniently shaped lamp!"
You must be kidding…
Frisk begrudgingly went towards the lamp.
"Sup bro. "
"You know what 'sup' brother, for eight days you haven't recalibrated your puzzles! You just hang around your station! What are you even doing!"
"I'm staring at this lamp."
"Why would you even do that?!"
"It's interesting. Wanna look?"
He did trick me!
"No! I don't have time for that! What if a human appears right now!" Papyrus stomped on the ground. "I want to be ready! I will be the one to capture a human! Then I will gain respect! Recognition! And most importantly, join the royal guard! People will flock to me asking to be my friend! And I will bathe in a shower of kisses every morning!"
"Hmm, maybe this lamp will help you," Sans said jokingly.
"Sans! You are not helping! You get lazier and lazier every day!"
"Hey! I've done a ton of work today, a skele-ton!"
Don't laugh… Frisk was holding back his laughter after seeing the brotherly banter. I was worried for nothing, if I get captured by him I might as well stay here and die.
"Sans! Ugh, why does someone as great as me have to do so much for some recognition…"
"Wow, it seems you're working yourself, to the bone!"
"Aaargh! I will attend to my puzzles, please do put more backbone into your work!"
"Aye!"
It took a second for papyrus to understand what he said, afterwards he stormed off grumbling.
"Ok, you can come out now, you oughta go, otherwise… you'll have to sit through more of my jokes."
[ugh, that was terrible. at least the lamp was convenient…]
Just as Frisk was about to leave…
"Uh, hey could you do me a favor? My brother's been kinda down lately and he's never seen a human before, seeing you might just make his day."
"No way! He's a human hunting fanatic!" before Sans could explain, Frisk had already left.
Poof!
I'd rather stay like this for a while. He said as he turned into a pup and went his way unnoticed.
He saw another save star and saved just in case he died.

Just as Frisk was about to run away, he decided to "fight" the monster, he was technically immortal and the dropped gold could make a killing in the human world.

Frisk went towards the gold left by snowdrake and saw it disappear.
? wait for what? It's not in my inventory… yet I lost mana as if I had put the gold inside it.
[you look confused, I took the gold to help you free space up]
Frisk morphed back
"You thief give that back! Don't you dare even-"
[jeez relax, it's not like I can spend it, besides I'm stuck to you, I'll give it whenever you need it, at least in the underground ok?]
Frisk looked at the translucent ghost floating beside him with an annoyed look.
"... fine."
Later on, he found a box, inside were a pair of gloves, he could feel the mana sticking out from them.
They are tough might as well use them to keep my hands warm
After making sure nobody was seeing him he took the pair of gloves and continued his way, sparing monsters for their money along the way. As he walked he saw Sans and papyrus in front of them again.
I can understand his big tall brother being here but how is sans here?! Frisk went back to where the box was, then he morphed into a pup and sneaked into the small crevices that were the trees however he suddenly felt very heavy, enough so that he couldn't stand, eventually he couldn't bear his weight and his body did a sickening crunch sound, his bones were being broken.
Frisk tried to ask Chara for help in some way but to no avail.
[hmm, it seems the trees have gained a magical attribute… you're going to die if this keeps up]
Crack…
Smash!
"Why did that even happen?"
[well, the barrier doesn't just trap monsters, it traps mana too, anything can enter but nothing can leave as such the underground has been absorbing enough mana to mutate even living beings without a soul.]
"I'll die if I go along the river… there's no other way then…
Poof!
Frisk went towards the path where Sans and papyrus were and tried to walk past them. But as he walked in front of them. Sans picked him up.
"Hey paps, look, I think he wants some bones."
"Sans, I'm not in the mood for jokes… why are we even on this path right now?"
"Oh nothing, we're just waiting for someone special." Sans winked at the pup before letting it go."
Does he know?!

[hey why would you reset? You were close to getting past them!] Chara looked bored out of her mind.
I… feel bad for his brother, but no humans for you today!
He reluctantly went towards sans and papyrus as a dog again, however, this time he got past them.
They don't seem like bad guys, at least they haven't attacked me-

Frisk had gotten by fairly easily to the next section, he saw another outpost and assumed it was empty like the other one.
"Was something moving? If someone -for example a human- were to be moving, I'll make sure they never move again!"

[doggo blocks the way!]
It doesn't look too menacing.
Doggo brandished his dual swords.

Frisk was enveloped by his mana, then he saw a big blue sword created.

Chara's judgment had not failed him up until this point so he did not move even though the sword was coming right at him.
Still, he couldn't control his instincts and squinted his eyes harder as he braced for impact.

Huh… it didn't hit me. Was it an illusion… no then I wouldn't have to stay still, it probably meant that if I don't move this attack won't hit me.
Frisk proceeded to not move, it seemed like it was doggo's only attack, he eventually got 30 gold out of him.
Frisk was basking in bliss, with this much money he would be able to buy magic spells out of barons! He quickly went his way to the next area, in there he saw the skeleton brothers.
"Human! My brother and I have created some puzzles! I think you will find this one quite shocking…"
How much money would I get from these 2 Frisk's greed had begun to take a hold of him and he began zoning out.
"-okay you can go ahead now."
Bzzt!
"Ahhh! Sans! What did you do?!"
Both Sans and Frisk laughed silently
"I think the human has to hold the orb."
"Oh alright."
A few moments later…
This has got to be the easiest puzzle of my life.
In the next segment, he was quickly contradicted.
"Not that I mind, but where's the puzzle?"
"Right in front of you."
It is just a word search…
He easily completed it in 5 minutes. He went on his way, and Frisk also "fought" monsters and gained even more gold.
In the next section, he saved and eventually got into snowdin, and much to his surprise he had gotten more than 200 gold!
He quickly went to ask for directions at a shop.
"You only have to go to your right, then you'll be at the entrance to Waterfall." a bunny monster said. "Mind buying anything?"
After seeing the prices he left disgruntled.
"How are they all so rich to afford that?"

Frisk ran and eventually it started snowing, after braving the cold, Frisk found a familiar skull.
"Human! Your goals are painfully obvious! Yes! You are too timid to approach me! Worry not, the great Papyrus will give you a chance to be his friend!"
