After Petalheart woke up, the normal routine of the day began. Heading out of the den and sending out patrols was the first thing. Then, she talked to Arrowstar about important matters, mostly about the rogues. After the morning patrols came back, she listened to the reports they brought, took some prey to the elders and Whiteflight, before grabbing a piece of prey herself. She usually ate with Arrowstar unless he was busy, but he wasn't, so she and him ate together, talking about important matters. Then, she sent out afternoon patrols and listened to their reports. She wasn't exactly surprised though when she heard the rogues were poking at the borders again.

Finally, it was time for the Gathering.

Arrowstar called, "It is time for the Gathering! The cats that will be joining me are Petalheart, Sugarshore, Larkspur, Tabbytail, Sheersong, Maidentail, Sweetpea, Streakside, and Blueglow. Everyone else who hasn't been called, please stay here and protect the camp."

Petalheart rose to her paws as Arrowstar jumped down from the Ice Ledge, and the cats that were called followed him.

The trek was short, and the other Clans were waiting for them.

"Hello, Arrowstar!" called Sweetsong, the RainClan deputy.

"Hello, Sweetsong," greeted Arrowstar.

Arrowstar jumped on his spot, and Petalheart jumped on hers.

"Let the Gathering begin!" yowled Lightstar.

"Do you want to go first, Lightstar?" asked Arrowstar.

"No thank you," mewed Lightstar.

"I'll go first, then," mewed Winterstar. "Things are pretty good. And SeasonClan has a new warrior, Sootleaf, as well as a new medicine cat apprentice, Purepaw."

"Sootleaf! Purepaw! Sootleaf! Purepaw!" the entire Gathering cheered.

Shallowstar spoke next. "We are doing well," he mewed. "We have four new apprentices, Harepaw, Mistypaw, Daisypaw, and Reedpaw."

"Harepaw! Mistypaw! Daisypaw! Reedpaw!"

Sandstar swished her tail. "SandClan has thrived as usual," she mewed. "And we have a new warrior, Flamestorm, and three new apprentices, Duskpaw, Palepaw, and Gorsepaw."

"Flamestorm! Duskpaw! Palepaw! Gorsepaw!"

Next was Lightstar. "We have two new warriors, Sparkblast and Yellowspot. And four new apprentices, Swallowpaw, Masspaw, Flowerpaw, and Fawnpaw."

"Sparkblast! Yellowspot! Swallowpaw! Masspaw! Flowerpaw! Fawnpaw!"

Finally, Arrowstar gave his information. "Prey is plenty," he mewed, "and we have two new warriors, Tabbytail and Sheersong."

"Tabbytail! Sheersong! Tabbytail! Sheersong!"

Arrowstar raised his tail for silence, and then added, "However, we have matters to discuss. Rogues have been threatening SnowClan's borders, and have claimed of a matter within the Clans that had to do with Bloomseal, my, Petalheart's, and Silverfur's grandmother."

"Rogues?" asked Poleslide, a warrior of RainClan. "Why would they be concerned about a former Clan member?"

"Apparently, their leader is Bloomseal's son," Petalheart answered grimly.

"The only two cats I remember being Bloomseal's kits were both she-cats," mewed Sandstar. "Snowstar and Slickback."

"Apparently, she had another mate before she had Spriteheart," answered Petalheart. "And don't ask how I know, it's something that I prefer to keep low on."

"We won't ask," promised Sweetsong.

"But I don't get it," mewed Emberpool. "Bloomseal died in the greencough pandemic, right? So why is the leader doing this?"

"He apparently wants to eliminate Bloomseal's ancestors," answered Tabbytail.

"We'll keep a lookout for the rogues, Arrowstar," mewed Winterstar. "If they're dangerous to one Clan, they're dangerous to all Clans."

"Thanks, Winterstar," Arrowstar mewed.

"With that, the Gathering is over," mewed Lightstar. "It's too dangerous for us to share tongues when there's a rogue threat, or to stay here for too long. RainClan, to me!"

The other Clans called for their cats to come, and Arrowstar called, "SnowClan, time to head back!"

Silverfur looked concerned. "Are you sure it's okay? The other Clans could use that to their advantage."

"Winterstar pointed out that if it's dangerous to one Clan, it's dangerous to all Clans," answered Petalheart.

Growlpelt glared at her. "Are you sure your ears weren't stuffed with moss?" he growled.

"That's enough, Growlpelt. I heard it, and so did she," Arrowstar mewed, his voice edged with warning.

The white tom looked like he was about to argue, but he didn't.

"I know you're suspicious, Growlpelt," mewed Petalheart. "But this is a serious matter."

Tabbytail nodded.

Growlpelt sighed. "Alright, alright, but it could be a trap."

"It could, it couldn't, but right now, we have to focus on the rogues."

Tabbytail nodded again. "The rogues are unpredictable. Winterstar's right, if it's dangerous to one Clan, it's dangerous to all Clans. The more cats to deal with the rogues, the better."

Growlpelt simply nodded.

As the cats returned to the camp, the cats went to their dens. Petalheart turned towards the warrior's den, but Arrowstar stopped her from padding to it.

"Arrowstar?" she asked.

The yellow tabby tom looked uncomfortable. "Well…with the rogues, things are starting to get restless, and…I didn't want to sleep alone. Can-can you sleep with me in the leader's den tonight?"

Petalheart was surprised. Then, she nodded. "Yes."

Arrowstar and Petalheart padded to the leader's den and Arrowstar curled up in his nest, before beckoning to Petalheart with his tail.

She padded over, and cozied herself. His fur was soft and warm against hers, and she soon fell asleep.

She ended up in StarClan's hunting grounds again. The same place where Slickback had led her.

"Hello," a voice mewed.

A white pelt appeared from the distance. Green eyes shone from the stars.

"Sleepyheart," greeted Petalheart.

"Hello, Petalheart," mewed Sleepyheart. "I am here to give you a prophecy."

"A prophecy?" asked Petalheart.

Sleepyheart nodded. "Normally, StarClan sends a prophecy for the medicine cats to interpret, but this one needs to be told to you."

"What?"

"Palefur is probably getting this message to Arrowstar, possibly, but I must deliver this to you."

"What is it?"

Sleepyheart closed his eyes. Then, he spoke. "Know that you are the petal that breaks through the ice and snow of leafbare."

"Wait, what?"

Sleepyheart sighed. "I'm sorry, you'll have to figure that out. I must go. I promised the kits that I would play moss ball with them, to keep them busy."

"The kits?"

"Your kits. Featherkit and Frostkit. They're restless and want to see you. I think Slickback spilled a bit too much after the Dark Forest adventure."

Petalheart sighed. "Kits will be kits." She nodded to Sleepyheart. "I'll see you."

"Goodbye, Petalheart. Remember this prophecy, and don't forget."

"I promise."

Sleepyheart faded from sight, and Petalheart woke up.
