It had been two months since Kirito had beat the death game. He was in the middle of sparing with his 'sister'. She took a normal combat stance with the wooden sword right in front of her. On the other hand though, Kirito took a bizarre stance, his sword held to his side as he did in the death game. Suguha was confused at his stance but saw a wide opening in her cousin's head. But all the sudden Kazuto charged towards her and swung the wooden sword at her. She was able to dodge the attack and continued to battle her cousin. Soon they were in an interlocked battle, both swords pushing against one another trying to overpower the other. After a few moments, she finally got the upper hand and whacked Kazuto atop his head.

"Ow" Kazuto exclaimed.

Suguha apologized to her cousin, not meaning to hurt him. Once that was done, Kazuto swung the sword and held it behind his back as if he was still in that cursed game. Then he realized that this was reality and quickly placed the sword down.

"Just how bad did I hit you?" Asked Suguha in mild concern.

"Oh no, it's just force of habit" he quickly replied.

They changed back into their normal attire and walked out of the dojo.

"Man, your strong, I bet you could've mopped the floor with Heathcliff" he complimented his cousin.

They walked inside their home and Suguha asked what Kazuto was planning on doing that day. He stayed Silent for a minute but replied he was going to the hospital. His cousin froze, looking down in disappointment.

"Oh...her names Asuna, right...?" She asked.

Kazuto gave a nod as a reply and said breakfast would be done when she finished her shower. After that he went to the hospital Asuna was currently in riding his bike as the guard let him in. He then made his way up to her room and unlocked the door using a key card. Then came in a man wearing a fancy suit. This man was Asuna's father.

"Sorry, I hope it's ok if I'm here" Kazuto said.

"Oh no, it's fine, I know it makes her happy when your here"

A moment later, another man walks in as Kazuto looks at him.

"Oh sorry, I don't think the two of you have met, this is sugou" Asuna's father introduced the man. He said he was the son of a partner of his and said he's almost like family.

"Speaking of family sir, I'd like to make it official as soon as possible" he said.

Asuna's father said it was quite sudden as a response to it. Sugou even said that Asuna looks beautiful in her coma like state and that he would like to see her in a wedding dress. Kazuto was taken aback by this statement, hearing as how Asuna might marry someone else instead of him, all that time he spent with her in that accursed game flashing in his mind. Asuna's father saw the time and apologized for his leave and said he had a meeting to go to. Kazuto just had his stunned face the whole time his lover's father left.

"So Kazuto, I heard you and Asuna were lovers in that game" Sugou said, getting Kazuto's attention.

Kazuto responded with and "uh-hu".

"That is unfortunate, it is going to make a complicated relationship between you and I" sugou stated.

Then Sugou grabs some of Asuna's hair and sniffs it, offending Kazuto.

"In case you were wondering, her father and I were discussing a marriage between me and her" he says as he gets an evil grin and licks his lips. Little did both of them know, someone was watching via security cameras and various electronics in the room.

Kazuto says he can't do that but Sugou explains how he can if her family adopts him, legally making them married. He starts to touch Asuna's face as he explains how she hated him since they were kids and if she could speak that she'd say no to the marriage. Kazuto grabs his arm and demanded him to stop. Kazuto states how he can't take advantage of Asuna but Sugou says it's not as he starts to explain what happened to the company who made the nerve gear. He then says how the SAO servers were then bought by an electronic manufacturer company that he works at and how he's the one keeping Asuna alive. Sugou then threatened Kazuto to stay away from Asuna but tells him that he marries her a week from now and that Kazuto should watch the wedding. With that Sugou leaves with a smirk on his face and tells the other man in the room to say their goodbyes and leave.

Later that day, his cousin knocked on the door and said goodnight to Kazuto but hears nothing. She decided to enter his room and sees him on his bed. The first thing she noticed was the freezing cold air and sees the heater off. She goes over to it and turns it on asking why he didn't turn it in earlier. She then sees the sorrowful eyes of Kirito and runs over thinking something happened. He then says that he'd never see Asuna again and starts to cry as Suguha hugged him.

"No matter what happens or how hopeless it may seem, never give up on those who you love" she says and looks up at the moon. She then lays the now sleeping Kazuto down and covers him up and lays down next to him and slowly falls asleep.

The next morning she then feels something poking at her face and then something pinching her cheek. She hears her cousin telling her to wake up as she slowly wakes up, still feeling sleepy. She sets up and looks around, then she realizes she's in Kazuto's room and her face gets all red. She rushes out of the room and into the hallway.

Kazuto is left alone in his room but then gets a chime on his monitor. He goes to check it out and scrolls through it and sees Asuna in a bird cage of sorts. He is shocked at it and stumbled back a bit. But then one of his other monitors lights up, a dark background with a some sort of strange symbol on it. He looks at it too in confusion but not forgetting the picture he just saw. It was a light blue, had a circle in the middle and three other things on the outside forming an almost complete circle if the outside wasn't split in thirds. The text on it said "transferring...downloading...download complete"

"hello Kirito" said an all too familiar monotone voice.

He knew that voice, it was the AI that helped the slayer speak for him. Shivers ran down his spine recalling how he killed Heathcliff so easily and so brutally. He could still hear the screams of fear and pain and how the slayer dealt with the man. He was thankful that blood and other stuff wasn't in the game or he'd have PTSD.

"H-hello..." Kazuto responded after a moment.

" I am sorry I have not installed myself earlier, I had to wait for you to turn on your computer for me to access it. As for your current situation with Asuna, I am aware and have watch what happened in the hospital room" vega said.

'Wait, he's been watching me this whole time!?' Kazuto thought.

"I am sure you have many questions, but I suggest we get back to the Asuna topic, I have scanned any possible games she may be stuck in and found one called "alfhiem online", it is a game where you play as a fairy and the goal is to be the first to reach the top of a titanic tree to gain unlimited flight. It appears that Asuna is trapped at the top of the tree. Ordering game now from local game store...order finished, giving location of store now." Vega explained.

A buzz and a ding came from Kirito's phone as he looked at it and saw that Vega had given him the location of the store he ordered the game from.

"I suggest we act now before Sugou marries Asuna" Vega reminded.

To this Kazuto agreed and got ready to head out. He got some money just in case and got on his bike. He followed Vega's directions on his way to the store, giving him the quickest routes to get there. The cold air rushing through his hair as he sped down roads. He had to be as quick as possible as to try not to waste time and be too late to wake Asuna up before the marriage. After a few minutes he made it to the store and walked in and asked for the game he got. The cashier asked for his name and he said it, after a bit of typing he was verified as the person who ordered the game online. The cashier gave him the game and said their "good day sir" and "hope you enjoy" stuff. He took the game and stuffed it in his backpack and walked out. His heart was pounding from speeding down roads on his bike. He then rode back home and plugged it into his NERV gear. When he did Vega downloaded himself and the slayer into it so they may follow him. He did the procedure to start the link and saw the usual linking process. When it finished he saw darkness, but then the player customization faded in and he looked through it. He then spotted a character clad in black like his from SAO. He picked it and even saw his stats from the last game he played on this headset. He was genuinely surprised by this but continued his mission of being a knight saving a princess. He entered the game and started falling from high above the sky. But then a blue portal with an abyssal black void at the center appeared. He fell through and found himself in a forest.
