A/N: Here we are, we made it. So, a little news some might find unfortunate. Unlike A Needed Quest, this story isn't going to go on as long. Much like with Dragon Age II, A Needed Alliance is mostly acting as a prologue. At least it is concerning Six's fight against the Legion. I promise the next episode in this series won't even involve the Fallout games. At least, that is my goal, since I want to involve more than Fallout and RWBY.

At most though, I'm going to include seven more chapters in this story. Sure, this is less than my visions originally gave me. But even so, I'm sure you will all come to love the interesting lore they will provide.

Please enjoy, and leave me a review.

We Need A Future:

Lucius and Loghain were in absolute shock. Inside the Lucky 38, there were unimaginable sights. The technology, the people, the clothes those people wore, the large windows granting the two Grey Wardens access to a view above Vegas, it was all too much. How were such marvelous feats even possible?

"You two catch some sleep. You two look like you could use some" Six said as she was leaving the guest quarters where Lucius and Loghain were going to stay. "I really wanna stay and chat some more about Thedas, the Wardens, the Darkspawn, everything else too." The Pip-Boy's flashing told Six there was no time. "But right now there are a few more people who wish to see me." Six could still sense Loghain's uneasiness towards staying in a place impossibly unknown. "Relax." One more scene like in the Strip and the NCR was going to start asking some questions. "I'll send an escort unit to retrieve everyone from the Vigil as soon as possible. In the meantime though, please, get some sleep."

That advice went well with Lucius, immediately collapsing onto his mattress. Though Loghain was still unwilling to lose his suspicions. All the same, the only immediate option was to accept Six's generosity. With Six now certain the two men weren't going to cause any trouble, she left to the penthouse level.

Six was completely restless. With so many thoughts about the future plaguing Six's conscious, it wasn't easy to focus. The Legion, the NCR, Vale's citizens, Ruby and the others, the Companions, and now the Wardens. It was all like a storm in Six's mind. Hopefully this meeting with General Ironwood and Hanlon was going to resolve and remove some issues.

Coming to the meeting room, Six saw the two Generals were already seating, awaiting Six's presence. She was a little late, which was something Hanlon was most likely expecting given Six's inability to arrive on time to meeting with NCR officials. But Ironwood wasn't someone Six was going to make wait. His support was necessary to ensuring the Legion's removal from Remnant. And the only way Six was going to obtain his loyalty was through showing extreme professionalism. Luckily, Arcade was willing to give Six a few lessons and some advice.

Taking a seat, arms on legs, Six was ready to give the most professional introduction imaginable. "Hey Generals!" Dammit. "Sorry I'm a few minutes late. There was a small commotion that caught my attention in the streets. But don't worry, we can still-"

"Stop." Ironwood said in a slightly loud tone, getting Six and Hanlon's full attention. "It is just as I said in the previous meeting with President Kimball and Vice President Oliver's representatives, my terms are in no way negotiable." The issues were staying? Sweet.

"They wish to send a few thousand NCR soldiers in to stall the Legion's attacks? Okay, that is more than acceptable. Atlas will make no attempts to stop them." There was a problem somewhere in there. That was something obvious. "But there is no way, losses unimportant, I am sharing sensitive information concerning Atlas' technology, strategies... ANYTHING!" Great, the yelling was coming. "Even asking is a complete insult to the Atlas-"

"General Ironwood, please." Hanlon gave pause to Ironwood's oncoming furious words. "General Oliver's own words in the previous meeting were certainly... something else." Really, something else? The man was a total asshole the whole time. "He only wants more glory, that's all." Yeah, and that's also why without the Companions in the mix, the Legion would've easily overrun the Dam. "But let me assure you, we are all on the same side. And this is certainly not a scheme to seize control across Vale." His eyes met Six's. "My scheming years are long gone." Six was quick to conceal a smirk. "From this point on, assuming you trust me enough, I am now the man who will coordinate NCR forces across Vale." Hanlon went silent, his only following noises coming from sipping his coffee.

Hanlon. He was absolutely the greatest General in the NCR's ranks. He's like that wise old man who makes everyone else in his presence seem like an idiot. Oliver's own presence was only good at making Six feel more intelligent. And then there was Kimball... oh man.

With a long sigh, Ironwood spoke again. "I don't like Kimball... and I really don't like Oliver's ego." Six was smiling, feeling like a positive was on its way. "But... I can sense you are nothing like them." YES! Hug a little while you're at it. "Glory isn't a concern when you fight, saving lives, creating the greatest possible strategies, limiting casualties, those are the main subjects you concern yourselves with." The General was now leaving his seat. "So, yes, I will stay and listen to the Courier's plan to launch an all out assault on the Legion." Oh no, this was a problem.

This was not good. Six left the notes concerning the attack in Veronica's room. Shit, shit... SHIT! "Um, yeah, right. My plan." They just got Ironwood's trust to return, she wasn't willing to lose it again. "Sooooo... it's simple, well, not like, simple simple. It's gonna take a lotta... a lotta... How about I just explain it to you." Both Generals were immediately raising eyebrows.

Hands motions often make someone look unprofessional when presenting something. Six's own presentation was no exception. "So... from what Vulpes told me, Lucius, Caesar's old #1 ranking Praetorian is still alive." He was also the only notable remnant from the old Legion. He goes, and the Veterans are outta people to follow from all those years ago. "It's incredibly likely that Lucius is the one currently leading Legion forces in the Vale region." There was still no conformation on who the actual leader(s) was. But Six was positive it was in fact Lucius. "By the way, we've got a new friend named Lucius. But like, not the Legion Lucius." Great, that totally wasn't going to result in some upcoming confusion. "Anyway... we locate Lucius, ensure his status is KIA, then we focus all efforts on liberating Vale. Without Lucius, without anyone to properly lead them, the Legion are easy targets."

Returning to stuttering, Six was attempting to speak about the absence in notes and files. "My actual notes on the possible tactics are actually-" Ironwood once again left his seat in a flash. He gave assurance no files were, at this time, necessary. "No, it is fine." It really was?! "Please, just make sure you get someone to send them to me some time tomorrow." That was surprisingly generous. "Hanlon, in the meantime, may we speak alone, one veteran to one more veteran?"

And just like that, the future was a little more secure. Now sitting in Veronica's room, Six's mind was racing a little less than usual. She was expecting that meeting to conclude with obnoxious screaming. Instead, the Atlas and NCR Generals were now actually getting along. Maybe there really was a God on Six's side?

But man, was she sleepy. But at the same time, she was restless. Looking around to make sure she was alone, at least in a physical sense, Six spoke to someone she was always praying was listening. "Boone... you there?" No response, obviously. "I'm... I'm going to make that future we always spoke about. I promise."
