Author's Note:
Guess who's back, Total Drama Fans! After over a year of frustrating writers block and a lack of motivation (which I'll get into in the post chapter thoughts), Total Drama City is back! I'm so sorry this took so long to update, but once again, I'll get into all that in the post chapter comments. For now, let's answer some reviews and get right back into the action!
Tempokeep: Deedee is definitely one of my favorite characters too! She totally embodies the inner chaos that Total Drama needs. She may still have some sort of role to play in my plans for this season...
Dunsparce519: I always like to throw in one or two surprise eliminations just to keep people guessing. Can't have everything be totally predictable, after all.
Fantasy Lord 77: Logan certainly isn't going to be taking any chances after what happened last season. He's not called "The Paranoid P.I" for nothing, after all!

Now...on to the drama!
EPISODE TWENTY: PLATFORM PERIL
This episode of Total Drama contains scenes of extreme stunts performed by animated teens. Do not try anything you see here at home. Seriously, you could get really messed up.
Chris stood in front of Chef's Restaurant. "Last time on Total Drama," he narrated, "The teams played zookeepers to a bunch of friendly animals (clip of Chris revealing the animals in the cages) which turned into a wild chase around the zoo (clip of the teams running). Desmond tried to wrestle an alligator (clip of Desmond walking into the cage with the alligators) and Deedee tried to help (clip of Deedee tossing the cherry bomb in). The result was Desmond having to be medically evacuated from the show (clip of Desmond getting taken away on the ambulance). The Slickers put their fate in Hunter's tracking skills (clip of Hunter tracking the monkeys) which ended with them catching the wrong animal (clip of Clover getting caught in Hunter's trap). And the Rats' luck didn't improve after Logan had a surprising encounter with a shark other than Fang (clip of the shark eating the rats). Todd made a few new friends (clip of the pandas leaping onto Todd and attacking him), but somehow made it all the way to the trap set by Rita and her secret partner Moira (clip of Todd getting trapped by the cage), giving the Pandas a much needed win. In the end, the Rats were sent to elimination to vote out another person, who turned out to be Deedee. Adios, pyromaniac (clip of Deedee's elimination)."
The scene returned to Chris. "Only thirteen campers remain. After tonight, it'll be twelve. Who's next to crash and burn? Find out tonight in the most dramatic elimination ceremony yet! On Total! Drama! City!"
*Intro*
(As the intro music begins to play, cameras are seen popping out of a skyscraper window, a manhole, a streetlamp, and a trashcan. The clapper claps.)
Dear Mom and Dad, I'm doing fine
(Chris is seen driving by in a sports car as the camera goes down a runway)
You guys are on my mind
(the camera pans into a building and off a diving board into an indoor swimming pool)
You asked me what I wanted to be, now I think the answer's plain to see
(In the water, Sarah is swimming gracefully as spikes are shooting past her. The camera pans to the surface, where Jared is sitting in a rubber raft with Maeve. The spikes puncture the raft and the two begin to sink. The camera quickly moves outside, where Otis and Tara are working on a generator together.)
I wanna be famous
(The camera pans over to the side, where Todd and Rita are working on an experiment. Todd pours a liquid into a beaker, which explodes and coats both him and Rita in ash, while Yves watches disapprovingly from a shadowy room in a nearby building)
I wanna live close to the sun
(Harmony is seen in a park meditating, unaware of Zander performing a magic trick right in front of her, though his trick is interrupted when a raccoon jumps out of his magic had and latches onto his face)
Well pack your bags cause I've already won
(Charlie and Lana are side by side practicing the same ninja fighting moves as William and Nicole kiss next to them)
Everything to prove nothing in my way
(Malik is running at top speed away from a flamethrower wielding Deedee. As he is running, he is caught in a trap that yanks him up to the top of a small building, where Hunter is waiting with a knife. Kaia stands disapprovingly behind him)
I'll get there one day
(The scene pans into a kitchen, where Logan is photographing a pot of mysterious food. Clover appears behind him, shocking him, but Chef then appears behind Clover and chases the two out of the kitchen)
Cause I wanna be famous
(At a table just outside the kitchen, Theresa is focused on her writing while Tim is next to her typing on a laptop. A spotlight drops on the table, causing both to jump in surprise)
Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah
(In an alley, Hannah battles back against Sara, who is trying to pummel here with fists covered with boxing gloves)
I wanna be. I wanna be. I wanna be famous.
(On a street, Desmond and Moira are both in go karts, trying to knock each other off the road. Alex skates in between them both while Lance tries to catch up to her on a motorcycle)
I wanna be. I wanna be. I wanna be famous.
(The scene pans to a stage, where Sonya is playing her electric guitar and singing along to the lyrics into a microphone. The scene pans back to show it was on a monitor)
*whistling the main theme*
(The scene pans down, where Nigel is seen showing a clearly impressed Erin a collection of watches under his jacket. The scene zooms out to show the rest of the cast, with Chris off to the side. Sonya plays the last guitar rift of the theme song on her electric guitar)
As dawn rose in the city, a loud guitar riff jolted the teams in the losing apartments awake, with Hunter slamming his head on the bed above him.
"I swear I'm going to shove that guitar of hers down her throat someday," he growled.
"Oh, calm down, Hunter," Nigel told him with a groan. "It's not Sonya's fault that her guitar doesn't have a mute button."
Hunter growled. "I don't like your sarcasm, conman."
CONFESSIONAL
"I'm so sick of this stupid team," Hunter complained. "Between Sonya's loud music at ungodly hours, Nigel always plotting a scheme, and Charlie always up in my case, I can't WAIT for the teams to merge so I can get away from them and start picking them off one by one."
END CONFESSIONAL
Elsewhere, Logan was busy in his bunker looking at the laptop, which he had cued up with various camera footage from around the city. "Come on, come on," he muttered.
"You really oughta get a door for this place." Logan screamed and fell back as Clover stepped down into the bunker. "Especially if you're going to keep getting freaked out every time I come down here."
"Why are you here?" Logan asked. "I thought I told you—"
"Look, I'm not trying to get you whatsoever," Clover insisted. "I want to help you out with your investigation."
"Why should I trust you?" Logan questioned.
"Logan, if I was on some big mission to take you down, I would've knocked you out, stuffed you in a burlap sack, and escaped by now. Besides, I'm concerned about some memory gaps I've been having."
"Memory gaps?" Logan repeated.
"Yeah. Just gaps in time where I kind of just zone out and not really remember where I was or what I was doing," Clover explained, rubbing her arm slightly. "It's freaking me out a little bit and I want to get to the bottom of it."
Logan was quiet, rubbing his chin. "Any theories?"
"Well…to be honest, like you said last time, Rita I think is up to something." She smirked slightly. "Which is why I put a listening bug on Todd during the last challenge."
"You did what?"
"What are you complaining about?" Todd shrieked as Clover hung down from the top of the next glass cage, eventually jumping down next to him.
"Nothing!" Todd said quickly.
"Come on, you can tell me," Clover put a hand on his shoulder, subtly putting a small listening bug on it. "I'm a very good listener."
"Unfortunately, he hasn't said anything too interesting yet," Clover told Logan. "But if we're right about him teaming up with Rita, then it won't be long before he spills the beans and gives us what we need to expose her."
Logan rubbed his chin again. "That's…actually pretty sneaky."
"So, you're finally ready to team up with me?" Clover asked, sticking a hand out. Logan hesitated, then begrudgingly shook her hand.
"Let's do it," he decided.
CONFESSIONAL
"I still don't trust her," Logan admitted. "But with the merge happening any day now, I need allies. Sure, I'll probably have Alex and Charlie on my side, but it's always good to have more. Especially one we can throw under the bus if needed. Is that mean? Sure. But I still don't trust her. Plain and simple."
END CONFESSIONAL
"Attention campers!" Chris boomed over the loudspeaker. "Everyone report to the front of the McLean Hotel for today's challenge."
When the teams arrived, Chris was once again nowhere to be found. "What do you think the challenge will be today?" Maeve asked. "Cleaning the entire Hotel while getting attacked by robot bulldogs?"
"Add some explosives to that and that's probably what will happen," Alex agreed.
There was a loud honking sound as Chris and Chef pulled up on a bus. The host was dressed in a bus driver's outfit. "Morning, campers!" he greeted. "All aboard the merge bus! That's right!" he added as the teams realized what he said. "It's merge day! As of right now, all teams are disbanded. It's now every camper for themselves."
CONFESSIONAL
"Oh yeah! We're halfway there, baby!" Sonya cheered. "Time to turn up the volume and step up the pace, because the best is yet to come!"
END CONFESSIONAL
CONFESSIONAL
"Finally," Alex breathed a sigh of relief. "The merge is here. Now I can ally with the actual sane people."
END CONFESSIONAL
CONFESSIONAL
"It's pretty crazy that I actually made it to the merge," Sara commented. "But now that I'm here, you know I'm going to win this thing."
END CONFESSIONAL
"Here's how things will work from here on out," Chris explained as Chef drove the bus. "Every camper will compete for his or her own self in every challenge. The winner of the challenge will be able to bring one person of their choice with them to the McLean Hotel."
"I take it that doesn't guarantee them safety from elimination?" Clover asked.
"Nope! Only one person safe from elimination per challenge, unless I decide to be nice."
Chef pulled the bus to a stop. "Welcome to your next challenge," Chris announced as the side of the crudely made bus completely fell off, revealing a giant square metal platform.
"The world's largest Rubik's cube?" Todd asked, unimpressed.
"Don't worry," Chris told him. "This is an easy one. All you have to do is get from one side of the platform to the other without falling off. The last camper standing wins invincibility."
"What happens if multiple people get across?" Sara asked.
"Then we keep going back and forth until only one is left, with each round being harder than the last," Chris said with a hint of annoyance.
"Harder?" Alex repeated. "Great."
"Fear not, fair maiden," Lance declared. "I shall protect you from any danger you may face!"
CONFESSIONAL
"Another great reason why I'm happy for the merge," Alex decided. "The sooner I can get rid of Sir Dork a Lot, the better."
END CONFESSIONAL
All thirteen contestants were lined up on one end of the platform. "Oh, one more thing!" Chris called from below. "Some of the spots on the platform might be a little unstable! Just to make sure people fall! And trust me; falling is going to be very, very painful!"
"It always is," Charlie commented.
"Round one!" Chris announced, blowing his air horn. "Go!"
"Let's do this!" Sara yelled, taking off across the platform. However, no one else seemed eager to follow.
CONFESSIONAL
Hunter leaned back in the confessional. "In big game hunts, there's always the idiot that charges forward without knowing all the dangers. Nine times out of ten, that idiot gets mauled my lions."
END CONFESSIONAL
Sara had made it halfway down the platform before the floor folded down under her foot, causing her to trip and fall through the trapdoor. She fell screaming onto the ground below, which instantly sparked and electrocuted her.
Everyone else winced at her pain.
"Oh yeah, I guess I should've mentioned that you'll get a shock if you fall off the platform!" Chris called with a laugh.
"You tested this, right?" Clover asked nervously.
"Sure did! And Sara's still alive! So you'll probably survive too! Maybe! Now chop chop!"
"What, you want us to all go out there at once?" Alex snorted. "Please, we're not that stupid."
Charlie, meanwhile, was examining the platform thoughtfully. After a few seconds, he cracked his knuckles and took off running. He only made it a few feet before another spot of the platform dropped off into a trapdoor. But he leaped at the last second, did a front flip, landed well, and kept on running, eventually making it to the other side.
"Show off," Hunter muttered. Todd was also staring at Charlie with a hint of frustration and anger in his face.
CONFESSIONAL
"It's time Charlie gets eliminated," Todd decided. "That guy was the reason I got kicked off last time, and payback's coming for him real fast."
END CONFESSIONAL
One by one, the rest of the remaining campers started out on the platforms. Unlike Charlie, all of them were moving slowly and cautiously, clearly trying to avoid falling off like Sara had.
"Pick up the pace!" Chris yelled. "Or I'll get bored! And you know what happens when I get bored!"
"What can you do, McLean?" Nigel called. "We're all the way up here, and you're down there!"
"Oh, really?" Chris picked up a walkie. "Release the golf balls!"
"Did he just say 'golf balls?'" Alex repeated.
A helicopter appeared, hovering over the platform. Chef poked his head out of the side and dumped a large bucket of golf balls down onto the platform.
"Incoming!" Moira yelled, covering her head with her hands and starting to run as the balls pelted down. The rest of the campers followed suit.
"Stupid golf balls," Logan grumbled as he ran. "Stupid, stupid, golf—"
His foot slipped on one of the golf balls, causing him to trip and fall. He landed flat on his back, moaning in pain.
"Here." Clover held a hand out and helped him up. "Gotta stay in the game as long as possible." With a nod in his direction, she started up again.
"What was that all about?" Alex asked as she arrived next to him. "Are you two trying to make an alliance or something?"
"What? No!" Logan laughed nervously. "I'm not in an alliance with anyone!" He started off again, leaving a confused Alex behind.
Meanwhile, Nigel was running fast when a trapdoor opened up in front of him. "Woah!" he cried, skidding to a stop just inches from it.
"Whew," he breathed a sigh of relief. "That was close."
That was when Hunter shoved him over the edge. "Happy landings!" he called down with a laugh as Nigel fell and was electrocuted at the bottom.
CONFESSIONAL
"No more teams means it's everyone for themselves," Hunter explained. "And that means that I can finally start getting rid of the competition. Nigel's been a pain in my butt for a while now. So I have no regrets shoving him out of the challenge."
END CONFESSIONAL
Chef, cackling like a madman, dropped another bucket of golf balls down from above, pelting the remaining contestants still running. Then he threw the bucket down, where it landed on Rita's head. She stumbled for a bit before falling off the edge of the platform, getting electrocuted at the bottom.
"That's more like it!" Chris called up with a laugh. "Who's in for a long drop and a big shock? Find out when we come back to Total! Drama! City!"
"Well, I'm impressed," Chris commented as he floated up on his jetpack above the remaining campers still in the challenge. "Despite my best efforts, ten of you are still up on the platform."
"That was seriously your best effort?" Hunter snorted. "You're losing your touch, McLean."
"Oh, don't worry, Hunter," Chris said. "There's plenty of more pain to come."
He pulled out a remote and pressed the button. The platform began to spin and shift until multiple pieces were left out of it. Some spaces also seemed to crackle with electricity.
"Try and get past that," Chris challenged. "Remember: the last person standing wins invincibility from tonight's vote and a night in the Mclean Hotel." He blew his airhorn again. "Go!"
The remaining campers carefully began to move down the platform once more. Like last time, no one seemed interested in racing through and potentially running straight into a trap.
Chris pulled out a squirt gun. "Hot sauce, anyone?" He pulled the trigger and a spray of hot sauce shot out, hitting Maeve in the face.
"Ahhh!" she screamed. "It burns!" She stepped into a crackling square of electricity, getting electrocuted before falling off the platform, getting shocked once again when she hit the bottom.
Charlie, of course, was moving quickly, leaping over the bad tiles with no effort whatsoever. "That guy is seriously hardcore," Clover commented.
"He definitely is," Alex agreed as she ducked under another stream of hot sauce from Chris. "But he's really nice."
"And also a strong competitor," Clover reminded her.
"Well, sure. But he didn't win last season."
"Only because he sacrificed himself for his girlfriend."
"Look, if you're worried about Charlie ruining your chances of winning, don't worry," Alex assured her. "He'd sooner sacrifice himself for someone more worthy of winning the million that mess with someone else's chances."
Clover looked angry. "I don't care about winning! I'm just—ugh!" Clover ran off.
CONFESSIONAL
"Was it something I said?" Alex wondered.
END CONFESSIONAL
CONFESSIONAL
"Ugh!" Clover complained. "Does Alex really think that I care that much about winning? I'm just thinking about potential allies to help out against Rita. Especially if she's really as evil as I think she is."
END CONFESSIONAL
"Okay, this is getting ridiculous," Chris called. "Time to take it up a notch! Chef!"
Chef grinned and, from his helicopter, dropped a lit stick of dynamite. The stick landed on the platform a few feet from Alex. "Oh, you've got to be kidding me," she groaned.
"Stand back, my lady!" Lance ran in front of her. "I will shield you from this blast!"
"Lance, you idiot, get out of the—" Alex's words were cut off as the dynamite went off, blowing them both into a hole and off the platform, with both getting shocked at the bottom.
"That's more like," Chris decided with a laugh.
Charlie was almost at the end of the platform when Todd called out, "Hey, Charlie, hold up a second!"
Charlie turned his head around. "What is it, Todd?" he asked. "we're kind of in the middle of a challenge here."
Todd caught up to him. "I know," he told him. "I have something to tell you."
"Can't it wait?"
"No," Todd answered. "It can't." Todd suddenly tackled Charlie. Charlie, taken completely by surprise, was knocked into the hole that had opened up behind him, sending both off the platform.
Everyone still remaining on the platform gasped in shock, as well as the people that had already been eliminated, who were standing off to the side. The only one that didn't seemed fazed by it was Hunter, who ran by everyone else to the other side of the platform and to safety.
CONFESSIONAL
"Did that seriously just happen?" Moira asked.
END CONFESSIONAL
CONFESSIONAL
"Wow. I didn't think he had it in him," Rita commented, for once looking surprised at the turn of events.
END CONFESSIONAL
CONFESSIONAL
"Ha! One less obstacle between me and the million bucks," Hunter cheered.
END CONFESSIONAL
"Wow. After everything I threw at you, there's still five of you still up here," Chris commented to the five remaining campers in the challenge: Hunter, Logan, Clover, Moira, and Sonya. "So we're going to make this round a little extra special."
"So, what's next?" Moira asked. "You make the entire platform fall into a pit of lava?"
"No," Chris responded.
"Make us fall onto a bed of spikes?" Clover guessed.
"No. Good ideas, though."
"Stop giving him new ways to torture us!" Logan exclaimed.
"Just tell us what we have to do now so I can win my invincibility already!" Hunter yelled.
"For this final round," Chris said. "There won't be any racing! Just stay on the platform as long as you can. The last person standing wins the challenge."
"That's it? Fine with me." Hunter grabbed Logan and hoisted him into the air.
"Hey! What are you doing?!" Logan cried right before Hunter chucked him off the platform. He fell, screaming, to the ground.
"Hey! I didn't say go yet!" Chris complained.
"You want to bring him back up here?" Hunter countered with a smirk.
Chris thought about it. "Good point. Annnnd….go!" He blew his airhorn as the platform got increasingly unstable and opened up even more pieces to fall into.
Hunter rubbed his hands gleefully as he eyed his remaining competition.
"This…isn't good," Clover commented.
"Aye, he's a big boy," Moira agreed. "But I've taken worse down."
"Temporary alliance until he falls?" Clover suggested.
"Let's rock and roll!" Sonya declared before running at Hunter, doing several flips before landing on top of him. Hunter struggled before he threw the rocker off his head. She landed hard, almost sliding into one of the holes on the platform, but managed to stay on.
"Well, charging in with no plan did absolutely nothing," Clover said.
Hunter started striding towards the two girls, cracking his knuckles. "You might as well make it easy and jump off," he suggested. "It'll save you a lot of trouble."
"I didn't place 6th last season by giving up, laddie," Moira warned. "I never give up."
"Works for me." Hunter moved on her, swinging for her head. She ducked under the attack and slid between Hunter's legs, narrowly avoiding a sparking panel on the ground. She swung her legs into Hunter's own, taking him off balance. He recovered quickly, however, grabbing Moira's arm and throwing her off to the side.
Moira crashed into a recovering Sonya, sending them both off the platform and onto the shock pads below.
CONFESSIONAL
"Okay…not exactly my best plan," Moira admitted.
END CONFESSIONAL
"It's down to the final two!" Chris reported as Hunter stared down Clover with a malicious grin. "One more fall and the challenge will be over."
CONFESSIONAL
"Me against the so called 'secret agent?'" Hunter scoffed. "Please. She's good, but she's nowhere near my strength. First place, here I come."
END CONFESSIONAL
Clover returned Hunter's stare down before getting into a fighting stance. "Combat training don't fail me now," she said to herself.
CONFESSIONAL
"Of course they taught me some combat moves in spy school," Clover insisted. "And I was pretty good at it. I placed 5th in the class, after all."
END CONFESSIONAL
Hunter charged forward, leaping over collapsing panels and landing in front of Clover, beginning to throw punches at her. She, however, blocked each punch, though the strength of the attacks was slowly pushing her back.
Down on the ground, Alex winced. "It doesn't look that good for her," she noted.
"She'll make it," Logan insisted.
"Oh? Since when are you so into Clover succeeding?"
"Think about it," Logan told her. "If Hunter loses, then we can vote him out. He's one of the strongest players here, and unlike Charlie, he's completely evil. Getting rid of him makes the rest of the game a lot easier."
"True…but you're actually rooting for Clover and not worrying that she's here to spy on you?"
Logan turned red. "That's not important!" He moved away from Alex, not wanting to continue the conversation anymore.
CONFESSIONAL
"Okay, seriously, what's Logan's deal with Clover now?" Alex wondered. "First she's nice to him, and now he wants her to stay in? Are they in an alliance? What's going on?"
END CONFESSIONAL
Back on top of the platform, Hunter was slowly moving Clover back until she was teetering on the edge of the platform. "End of the line, Clover," he taunted, moving his fist back for one final haymaker punch.
That's when Clover acted. She threw her foot up, kicking Hunter right in the kiwis. Hunter screeched in pain, clutching where he had been kicked.
"Gotcha." Clover flipped over Hunter, pushing off his shoulders, which sent him just off balance enough for him to fall off the platform and to a shocking fate below.
"Game over!" Chris announced. "In a shocking turn of events, Clover has stolen victory from the jaws of defeat! Clover wins!"
"Yes!" Clover cheered. Then the platform panel opened up under her, sending her falling down into the shock pads below.
Chris laughed. "Ah…I love this show."
"Well, that was just as exciting as I expected it to be," Chris said as he addressed the campers. "But, a win is a win. Clover, you now have invincibility from tonight's vote."
Clover, her hair still standing on end from her encounter with the shock pads, cheered. "Yes!"
"So, who're you going to take with you into the Hotel?"
Clover scanned her competitors. "I choose…Logan."
Logan raised a shocked eyebrow. "Really?"
"Yes, really."
"As for the rest of you," Chris went on. "Get your butts to the confessional and cast your votes, because someone's going home tonight, Tram Car of Shame style."
The remaining contestants all exchanged concerned looks at each other.
"Well, I'd say it's pretty cut and dry on who's going home tonight," Alex said as the group made their way back into the main city.
"Yep. Goodbye and good riddance to Hunter," Nigel agreed.
"Don't be so sure," Hunter spoke up from the back of the group.
"Come on, Hunter, you know you're going home," Clover told him. "You have no allies, you're one of the strongest players here, and frankly, you're too dangerous to have around."
"Consider this," Hunter said. "Between those of us that are left, am I the bigger threat? Or is it a certain ninja who will certainly dominate the competition from this point on if he remains in the game?"
The others exchanged looks as Charlie stared Hunter down. "Just think about it," Hunter said with a smirk as he pushed past the others and walked ahead.
CONFESSIONAL
"Does Hunter really think that he can convince people to vote me out with that speech?" Charlie wondered. "What happened today was a fluke, though I will give credit to Todd. Not many can take me by surprise like that. But it won't happen again. Count on that."
END CONFESSIONAL
That night, the campers met down in the subway station. "You've all cast your votes and made your decisions," Chris said. "There are only 12 tickets here. When I call your name, come and claim them. The camper that doesn't receive a ticket will receive a one-way ticket out of the game via the Tram Car of Shame. And you can't come back. Ever."
"The following people are safe…
Clover…
Logan…
Sara…
Moira…
Rita…
Sonya…
Todd…
Alex…
Lance…
Nigel…
Maeve…"
Chris held up the last of his tickets. "Campers, this is the final ticket."
Both Charlie and Hunter leaned forward with anticipation at getting the ticket.
"The final ticket goes to…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…Hunter."
"Yes!" Hunter cheered. "Eat it, ninja boy! Get your butt out of here!"
Charlie let out a sigh, bowing. "Very well then." He walked over to the Tram Car of Shame, entering it without a fight. The vehicle then sped off down the tunnel.
CONFESSIONAL
"I was always going to vote for Charlie," Rita said with a smirk. "Hunter is far more easily manipulated than the ninja. I needed him gone. Luckily, Hunter's words were enough to sway a few of the scared ones. But the killing blow came from one of his closest friends."
END CONFESSIONAL
CONFESSIONAL
"I'm sorry, laddie," Moira apologized. "But I can't let my secret get out. But when I get the chance, I swear I'll make that witch pay for everything she's done to me and my friends."
END CONFESSIONAL
"Well, that's it for another episode," Chris said to the camera. "We said goodbye to the teams and the game's strongest player. What surprises await our remaining campers? Find out next time on Total! Drama! City!"
BONUS CLIP
"I'm disappointed in getting eliminated this early," Charlie admitted. "But there is one good thing to come of this. I'll be able to see Lana again and make sure she's recovered from her injury. The money would've been nice, but making sure she's okay is all that matters to me now. I just hope that my friends will be able to take care of Hunter without me."

This chapter. This stupid chapter.
I had known that this was going to be my merge chapter for a while. But for some reason every idea I came up for it just didn't work for me. My original idea was a shopping challenge, but I really couldn't get anything I wanted to have happen there work. I went through many, many different challenge ideas, each one of them not working for me, before finally settling on this one. It's still not my favorite, but it works and it got everything I wanted to have happen this chapter done.
Speaking of this chapter...Charlie's gone! Shoutout to Tempokeep and Dunsparce519 for correctly predicting his elimination. Charlie has kind of just been lingering on ever since Lana got eliminated long, long ago, and given how big of a threat he is to the season's antagonists, he had to go now while the others still had a chance. Credit to Todd though for finally getting his revenge on the ninja after his actions wound up eliminating him in Total Drama Danger Zones.
As for my absence, well...I've gotten very busy recently. As you may have read in my profile on my activity update, I recently got a new job writing for an online pop culture content company. As such, a lot of my writing time is taken up by that. Another problem I had with continuing this story was that, again, I just didn't really have enough motivation or focus to continue it. I finally managed to get something good going after a friend showed me that the cast of the upcoming new season of Total Drama had been revealed - or at least the cast picture of them, not any personal information about them. That certainly helped spike my creative side and helped me plow through to finally finish this chapter.
Will this motivation continue on so I can get the next chapter out before another year has gone by? Who can say, honestly. I do know that the next chapter (and hopefully the rest of my planned challenges) should go far smoother than this chapter.
Well, that's about it from me. Make sure you hit that favorite/follow button in order to stay informed on future updates, and don't forget to drop a review to let me know how I'm doing. Until next time, this is Guest 1138, reminding you to stay away from explosives. Ciao!
