Chapter 20 Apprentices
(Before I get started I know I said Malevolence was next but then I realized I made a mistake so now we have the actual first episode of the Clone wars series here instead)
Mundi along with Shaak Ti were telling the council about their encounter with Grievous.
"We may have been exhausted but when was the last time a mere machine stood up to five Jedi and stood his own? This must be dealt with." Mundi said.
"I agree. This General Grievous is turning the tide of the war." Mace said.
"Sean told me about Grievous shortly after it happened. Apparently he's a very skilled warrior who went through various modifications and became what he is. His skills are much more concerning than we could imagine." Sifo-Dyas said.
"How do they know one another?" Kenobi asked.
"They fought each other years ago to a draw and left things peacefully. Clearly they have some respect for one another as warriors." Sifo-Dyas said. (I think the Cartoon version was a bit more honerable than the Clone wars series since he actually fought a bit more fair)
"Our numbers were dwindling before and now this. The Task force makes up for these losses but still." Even Piell said.
"Yes, we need more knights." Shaak Ti said.
"Then it's good I suggest this then. I for one believe we should forgo the trials and promote both Sean and Korra to Jedi Master and Skywalker to Jedi knight." Sifo-Dyas said.
"This is preposterous. We can't set aside our most hollowed traditions." Rancis said.
"In this time of need why do we hold back the chosen ones? We know it's one of them." Mundi said.
"Even if it is one of the three it is yet to be determined." Mace said.
"Hmm. Several Senators and governors of the Legion have been requesting this for months now." Piell said.
"Politicians have no say in Jedi Matters." Mace said.
"Well, Sean and Korra are our best fighters. And Skywalker is our best Pilot." Fisto said.
"But Sean's connection has been damaged by past events." Galia said.
"That may be true but he always takes precautions to prevent accidents like on Zoist. The first time his connection was damaged was when Nova was killed. And when his mother died in his arms before the war. And yet he has managed to move past these events. That takes strong will to do so." Sifo-Dyas said.
"Sean and Korra may have the requirements to be Jedi Masters but Skywalker still has some problems of his past he has yet to move past." Koth said.
"And that is what concerns me. To walk the path of the Jedi, One's spirit must be strong. And that requires discipline. And while he follows Sean's lead without question he has often disobeyed you. Has he not Master Kenobi." Rancis said.
"Oh and you never did the same thing in your youth? Or any of us for that matter?" Sifo-Dyas asked amused. "I know this is a huge change...But there is no doubt they are ready." Sifo-Dyas said.
Later
Sean and Korra were now officially promoted to Jedi Masters and Anakin Jedi knight.
"Oh this isn't fair." Turok said making Sean chuckle.
"Better luck next time Little brother." Sean teased making him pout while Tarkin chuckled.
"Speaking of brothers...Any luck finding David?" Selena asked making Sean frown behind his mask.
"No. No reports of him have come in anywhere. Malgus and Malak are keeping him somewhere." Sean said.
"We'll find him eventually." Tarkin said.
A month later
It's been a month since Sean and Korra were promoted to the Rank of Master and Anakin a Jedi Knight.
Now things were getting intense.
With Grievous now part of the Sith Empire his tactics were actually making things difficult.
The only ones who managed to defeat him in his tactics were Sean and the Task force with the first knowing his moves and the second one having much more battle experience which and better skills than the Legion army currently did.
Right now Sean, Korra and Anakin were leading the battle of Christophsis.
"GO! GO!" Forge yelled as the Enemy came back at them again.
"And here they come again!" Anakin yelled as Sean and Korra rushed out.
"I told you this seemed too easy. We never should have sent the ship back for supplies." Korra said.
"It wasn't my idea." Anakin said.
"Doesn't matter. Forge! Get your troops into position. Anakin you and Rex get up top and ambush the droids from above." Sean said.
"Right." Anakin said.
Up front Korra and her men fired right back at the droid army before two Sith warriors rushed in before she pulled out her lightsaber and attacked them head on.
"Wheres Skywalker?" Fordo asked.
"There he is!" Forge yelled seeing him and the 501st jump down and attacked the droids.
Korra blocked the Sith's attacks before Sean jumped down and slashed one in half before beheading the other.
"I'm not one to take a life." Korra said.
"Nothing wrong with that." Sean said as she sent a wave of fire back at the droids melting a large number of them.
"Hey look." Rex said seeing them pull back.
"They wouldn't pull back without a reason." Sean said before seeing a Legion drop ship.
"Looks like we got some help after all." Anakin said as they walked to it.
"Our cruiser must be back. So we get some fresh troops and new supplies." Korra said.
"And perhaps they've brought my Padawan with them." Sean said.
"You really think it's a good idea to bring a padawan learner into all of this?" Anakin asked.
"Weren't you just one a month ago?" Sean asked.
"Fair enough." Anakin said.
"Besides teaching is a privilege. It's our duty to teach a new generation. You should put in a request for one. You'd make a good teacher since you think outside the lines." Sean said making him scoff.
"Maybe after the War." Anakin said.
"Or are you afraid being a master will limit your time with your wife?" Korra teased making him grin.
Anakin and Padme had married after the war began in secret to keep the Sith from finding out.
"Nah. I'll just do it later." Anakin said as the ramp went down before two people were seen. The first was Jinora and the second was a Togruta who had orange skin with white markings on her face and blue eyes.
"Jinora?" Korra asked.
"And who are you?" Anakin asked.
"I'm Ahsoka. Jinora and I were sent here because you hadn't reported in." Ahsoka said.
"Oh, thats because we had a turncoat in our midst. Slick destroyed almost everything because he believed his brothers were nothing but slaves. If he wanted out all he had to do was say so." Sean said.
"Anyway I suppose we should ask why you two are here specifically." Korra said.
"I've finally been assigned a master." Jinora said grinning at Sean who chuckled.
"Oh this is just perfect. I can see a lot of misuse in this." Sean said chuckling as Korra laughed while Anakin rolled his eyes.
"And why are you here exactly?" Korra asked.
"I've been assigned to Master Skywalker." Ahsoka said shocking him.
"Wait what? No, no, no. There has to be some mistake. He's the one who wanted a Padawan." Anakin said pointing at Sean who smirked.
"No, Master Yoda was very specific. I'm assigned to Master Skywalker, And he is to supervise my Jedi training." Ahsoka said making Korra grin.
"But that doesn't make any sense." Anakin said.
"We'll sort this out later. It won't be long till those droids find a way past our defenses." Sean said.
"I'll check on Rex and the look out post." Anakin said leaving.
"Best take her with you." Korra teased making him sigh as the two left while Sean and Korra laughed.
"You two had a hand in this didn't you?" Jinora asked making them grin.
"Oh just a little is all." Sean said innocently.
Meanwhile
Rex and Forge were giving orders to the troops as Anakin and Ahsoka approached.
"Rex, Forge. Whats the status?" Anakin asked.
"Quiet for now. But I'll bet they're gearing up for a final assault." Rex said before they noticed Ahsoka.
"Who's the Kid?" Forge asked.
"I'm Master Skywalker's Padawan. The Name's Ahsoka Tano." Ahsoka said making him raise an eyebrow.
"Since when are you a Master? Trying to prove your new rank?" Forge asked.
"Theres been a mix-up. The Youngling isn't with me." Anakin said annoying her.
"Stop calling me that! You're stuck with me skyguy." Ahsoka said making the men burst out laughing which shocked him. (That name cracks me up a lot the first time she says it)
"What did you just call me? Don't get snippy with me young one. I don't even think your old enough to be a Padawan." Anakin said.
"And when did you become one?" Ahsoka asked amused making him sputter. (she's got a point)
"Oh she's got you there." Forge said laughing.
"Argh." Anakin said.
Meanwhile
"So...I can assume Oola and the others are taking care of the kids since your back in the field." Sean said to Jinora.
"I don't like leaving her since she's only a month old...But I know I can do more here." Jinora said.
"Hopefully this war will be over in a few years and not last like the Hundred year war did." Sean said.
"Don't say that...What is that?" Jinora asked making him look seeing an energy shield in the distance.
"Ah shit. Thats not good. They got an energy shield. It'll make things even more difficult. If you want battle experience...You're about to get plenty." Sean said.
Later
"Ok so this thing is slowly spreading to keep it just ahead of their tanks." Sean said.
"Heavy cannons are gonna be useless against that thing." Rex said.
"And when they reach them we'll be caught in a corner." Korra said.
"Why not just destroy it?" Ahsoka asked.
"Easier said than done." Forge said.
"But she has a point. We have to destroy it before it reaches the heavy cannons." Anakin said.
"All right. I got an idea for that. Some new tech I've been working on. It might just make our job that much easier." Sean said.
"I'll stay with Forge and Rex and keep them occupied as long as I can." Korra said.
"All right. Let's get going." Sean said.
Later
"Ok so what exactly are these?" Anakin asked looking at some new devices on their wrists.
"Droids don't have normal vision. They're machines. These devices hack into their optics and make us look invisible to the naked eye. We use that to move past them." Sean said.
"This is actually pretty clever." Ahsoka said.
"Maybe. But it's still a prototype. This is just a test." Sean said as they walked past the droids who failed to notice them.
"Looks like they work after all." Anakin said impressed.
"For now." Sean said as the Droid army completely passed them before the devices broke apart.
"Looks like they still need work." Jinora said.
"Not unexpected. Science is trial and error." Sean said as they found the Generator.
"Lets..." Ahsoka tried to say before Sean covered her mouth before shushing her pointing at the ground showing antennas.
"Droids. Hidden in plain sight. I don't sense any Sith around though." Sean said.
"Ok...But they're just droids. You can take them out easily." Ahsoka said.
"Use your head. If you knew him you would know most of his power is heavily downsized because of those inhibitors on his wrists." Anakin said making her look.
"My Connection is damaged. More so since the death of my mother. Loss affects us all in many ways. Mine being my connection being damaged." Sean said before they slowly snuck through the Antennas.
"Do not touch any of them. The second you do they'll go off." Anakin said as they almost made it through.
However Ahsoka lost her footing and fell on one.
"Oops." Ahsoka said before they went off.
"Fuck!" Sean yelled pulling out his lightsaber before slashing through them.
"Get those charges set up." Anakin said as Ahsoka and Jinora rushed to the Generator while they took on the droids.
As Ahsoka set up the explosives Jinora pulled out a yellow lightsaber before slashing one of the droids behind her and airbended it back.
Which accidentally set off the rest of the droids making Sean look at her.
"Sorry!" Jinora yelled.
"Seriously." Sean said annoyed as he cut apart most of the droids.
"I could use a little help." Anakin said as Ahsoka looked seeing a wall behind him with a hole in it.
"Skyguy, don't move." Ahsoka said moving the wall forward.
"What?" Anakin asked seeing it move. "No, no, NO!" Anakin yelled covering his head before he went through the hole and crushed the droids. (To think she came closer to killing him than most did)
"Wow." Sean said laughing as he growled.
"You could have gotten me killed!" Anakin yelled.
"Oh please. You would have done the same thing if it was Obi-Wan or Qui-Gon." Sean said making him sigh before Jinora activated the explosives which destroyed the Shield allowing the Legion to turn the tide in their favor.
Thats when a communication from Tarkin came in.
"Good news. Reinforcements are landing just now." Tarkin said as gunships soon arrived while Sean saw Ahsoka looking down before he nudged Anakin making him sigh before walking to her.
"Your Reckless you know that? You would never make it as Obi-Wan's Padawan." Anakin said making her hold her head down. "But you might make it as mine." Anakin said surprising her before he smiled at her.
"I think they make a nice master student relationship." Sean said.
Later
"Well, that went perfect." Sean said to the council.
"The battle may have gone in our favor no doubt...But having one of our own...A clone no less when they aren't supposed to do that concerns me." Tarkin said.
"It was probably a one time thing." Sean said.
"Nevertheless I am assigning members of the Task force to start training the clones on true loyalty. General Shepherd will be in charge of that." Tarkin said.
"Fine. In any event the system is ours. However there is one thing that concerns me." Sean said.
"Oh? And whats that?" Thrawn asked.
"I had heard from the population that the Empire was...Transporting Kyber Crystals off world. The Larger kinds." Sean said.
"Kyber Krystals are generally limitless in power is properly harnessed. In fact those Matter Changing factories the Task force use...Are actually powered by larger Kyber Crystals." Tarkin said.
"Which makes it concerning that they took some. But for what is unknown." Sean said.
"We'll find out eventually." Carth said.
Later
Sean walked into his home seeing Jinora playing with her daughter who cooed lightly making him smile.
"You know it's funny. Even though we never planned for kids this early...I wouldn't change this for anything." Korra said holding Junior who snored lightly.
"I know. And I know more will come in the days that follow." Sean said.
Authors Note: And with that Jinora is now Sean's Apprentice. You know theres going to be some advantages with that. And Anakin gets Ahsoka. I know I said there would be a Lemon but then I realized I messed up what was supposed to be next. Next Chapter for sure. Anyway Heres the Harem list to remind people who's in it.
