Hello! The Steins;Gate arc has just ended. I didn't expect this arc to last long lmao.

Well, before we get into the next arc, have this special chapter that happens after… I dunno, I just wrote it lol.

It's up to you to decide if its canon or non-canon.

"Alright guys, I've got a great story. In the deepest, darkest night, it is said that the ghost of the unluckiest man will curse you with eternal bad luck if you ever come across him at 3AM, near District 7."

In a particular dark place, Saten Ruiko was beginning to tell her scary story.

In this small storytelling circle, there was me, Misaka Miyano, my older sister, Misaka Mikoto and three of her friends; Shirai Kuroko, Uiharu Kazari, and Saten Ruiko.

The story felt a bit underwhelming in my opinion, Mikoto probably thought the same, judging by her bored expression. Uiharu, on the other hand, was trembling wildly. So at least the scary story was effective on at least one person.

Oh, and by the way, this particular dark place we are in right now is actually just a family restaurant, while we have a black blanket over our heads at a table. Yeah, sorry I didn't mention that.

I noticed that the setting for this story is a dark place at 3AM. Reminds me of the clickbait YouTube videos that go along the lines of: 'DON'T DO _ AT 3AM OR ELSE YOU WILL _!'

"That's the end of my story. What do you think? Was it scary?!" Saten finally concluded.

'This story ended already? I was in the middle of my monologue!'

"T-that was fast." I said. I only half-paid attention to the story itself.

"N-no it wasn't! I felt like it was gonna take forever!" Uiharu stammered.

"This story made me feel a lot more annoyed than scared." Mikoto said with a scoff. "Reminds me of him…"

Ah. The "unluckiest man of misfortune" almost fits Kamijou Touma perfectly. I understand why Mikoto turned a little red there.

"Oh?" Saten however, did not let that comment slide. "Who exactly did my story remind you of? Won't you tell us!?"

Mikoto's blush deepened. "It's no one important, okay!? Come on, let's get another scary story in here!"

"O-onee-sama? Don't tell me it's that ap-"

Mikoto's palm flew straight at Kuroko's mouth, as the pigtailed girl began to gasp for air. The two wrestled for a few seconds, and I couldn't help but watch the two go at it. The black blanket flapped wildly, as Mikoto finally managed to get Kuroko's mouth shut.

"Miyano-san, do you know who it is?" Saten turned to me instead, eyes sparkling. I'm pretty sure she knew who it was, and she just wanted my voice to say it aloud.

"OKAY!" Mikoto suddenly screamed. I wouldn't be surprised if people in the restaurant heard us. "Miyano, it's your turn, right? Let's see what kind of story my younger sister has for us!"

'Oi, you're pushing this on me!?'

I looked at the other girls, and sighed. "Well, once upon a time…"

"This story isn't gonna be scary at all, just watch me!" Mikoto suddenly interrupted my narrating voice. I felt a vein pop in my head.

'That's how you're gonna play it, huh?'

I had to give it my best shot this time. I knew of several horror stories and movies that might give the girls a little bit of a scare. However I knew for an electromaster like my older sister, nothing intimidating will be able to scare her, given her powers.

So I need a story that could be something a powerful electromaster couldn't combat against.

'The King's game?'

'Mieruko-chan?'

'No… I've got it. Why not scare Mikoto with the horrors and darkness of real life?'

"I think I've figured out a story I'll tell." I said, as the girls looked at me awaiting.

"This story is called… Happy Sugar Life!"

I don't think I need to say this, but HEAVY spoilers for 'Happy Sugar Life'. If you want to stay unspoiled, you can just skip this special chapter.

Also, 'Happy Sugar Life' is pretty dark. The age rating for this chapter will probably be bumped up to "T".

You've been warned.

"Happy…" Saten trailed off.

"...Sugar Life?" Kuroko finished.

I felt the doubt coming from the four girls, because of this innocent looking title.

"This story doesn't sound scary at all!" Uiharu said, relieved.

"Yeah, I think we had enough horror stories for now. I'll tell you a really, heartwarming story!" I lied. I am going to hell for this. God please forgive me.

For those who have never heard of 'Happy Sugar Life', do not judge this anime/manga by its title. For it is one of the darkest, messed up works to have ever existed.

"Well, let's begin!" I said. The others nodded their heads, so I began narrating my story…

Our main character's name is Satou Matsuzaka. Satou is a beautiful fair-skinned 16 year old girl with thigh-length light bubblegum pink hair. On each side of her head are small buns, the left one being decorated with a white lace around it and a red plaid patterned ribbon. She has big, dark crimson eyes.

Satou Matsuzaka has a reputation for playing around with men. But she takes on a part-time waitressing job at a restaurant called Princess Imperial to raise money for someone's sake.

"What a nice girl." Mikoto pointed out.

"I know, right? She's so hardworking, even if she is a level 0." Kuroko said in respect.

"Incidentally, who is this someone?" Uiharu asked me.

I'm glad you asked. This someone is their lover, someone they love so very much!

"Oh! A romance! I love those kinds of stories!" Saten cheered.

Satou has actually already started living with the person she loves: a little girl named Shio Koube at the age of 9. She has Dark blue hair that is tied into two messy pigtails and has big blue eyes.

"..."

""""Eh?""" Almost everyone said, dumbfounded.

As Satou continues to work…

"WAIT! Pause for a sec, okay?" Mikoto interrupted me.

"How old did you say this 'loved one' is again?" Kuroko asked me.

Nine.

"... and how old did you say our main character is?" Kuroko asked me.

About sixteen.

"That seems… a little… you know?" Uiharu tried gesturing at me, panicked.

"Yeah… don't get what she means?" Mikoto asked.

I don't. What are you, scared?

"Ah… ah… AH!" Saten suddenly screamed. "I GET IT NOW! This story is actually a horror story too!"

"""-!"""

That's right Saten, this is a horror story. But there's a bit of a twist; our main character, Satou Matsuzaka, isn't the victim….

She's the monster of the story!

NEW LINE

"What's with the teacher? He's seriously a creep that deserves to die…" Mikoto almost hissed.

"A-at least he isn't as messed u-up as that Mitsuboshi character…" Uiharu tried to reason.

"Aren't we forgetting the main character, Satou Matsuzaka here?" Kuroko asked darkly, almost somewhat serious. "She literally committed a murder. Only the scariest people can do that without hesitation…!"

"Satou's friend Shoko, seems to be the only reasonable person in this story." Saten pointed out. Almost everyone nodded in agreement.

Well, that's about the halfway point of my story.

Right now, I told them the summarized details up to episode 6. I introduced many new characters including a number of disturbing delusions within them. This includes the horrifying pedophile of a high-school teacher, Satou's brutal murder, and Shio and her brother's backstory. We left off at the part where Shoko finally insisted to her best friend Satou tell her what exactly is troubling her.

So do you want to hear more?

"Ugh… we're only halfway?" Uiharu groaned.

"Saten-san's stories are much longer than this, you know." Mikoto showed everybody her gekota phone, displaying the time. Almost everyone was shocked by how little time had passed.

"A scary story like this would only feel longer, because it heightens our senses and reflexes." Kuroko said. "God, I really wish Shoko reports to judgment or Anti-Skill about what she saw in Mitsuboshi's room. I get that he has been traumatized, but he seriously needs some mental treatment."

Okay, continuing off on our story…

Satou finally takes her beloved best friend, Shoko, to her apartment. Little did they know, two Judgment officers were waiting by her apartment. One man and one woman.

Again, like I did with 'Steins;Gate', I changed the setting to Academy City. So this time, I replaced the two police officers as the usual people that keep order around the city.

The whole group seems to have sighed in a small relief.

As it turns out, Satou's high school teacher calls over the police to her apartment just as she and Shouko arrive simply because he was feeling that Satou betrayed him by sharing her secret with someone else. To his surprise, however, the door is answered by Satou's aunt herself.

Satou's aunt has unkempt light lavender hair that reaches to the end of her breasts and is tied into a loose fishtail braid at the right side. Her bangs are straight, choppy and parted in the middle. She has bandages on both of her cheeks, wrapped around her head, neck, her right arm and left foot.

"Hello…?" Her blue dilated eyes almost felt unnerving, especially when paired with her creepy unmoving smile.

"W-what…?" Saten breathed, almost speechless.

The girls turned to look at Saten.

"Ah, sorry." Saten waved her hand apologetically. "I seriously thought the aunt was killed… It's like that in almost every horror story.

Well, let's continue shall we?

As thus, with Satou's death our story soon comes to a conclusion.

Our highschool teacher finally gets arrested by our Anti-Skill members…

"YES!"

"Shht!"

"Oh, sorry."

However, Shio was alive and well, sitting on a hospital bed making a recovery. Her brother finally manages to find Shio, almost overjoyed.

Everyone slowly started getting comfortable with the good path this ending took. The long-lasting tension slowly began to fall apart.

"Shio, how are you feeling?" Shio's brother asks, bringing a bouquet of flowers.

Shio remains silent, continuing to look out the window.

After hesitating a little with concern, her brother finally decided to speak up. "Don't worry!" He says. "There's nothing to be afraid of anymore! We'll be here forever."

"She must have been traumatized…" Uiharu pointed out. Poor girl…

Shio finally turns around. She's… She's smiling?

"Sorry." She says, blushing a little.

Everyone froze. This sudden unexpected moment felt a bit amusing to me.

"I don't do this stuff anymore, I've been reborn."

"W-what are you saying?" He drops the bouquet with fear and concern.

Shio didn't understand why Satou saved her life. However, it made her happier than ever. "Let's stay happy together forever, Satou-chan." She says, cherishing this moment.

"After all… this was her Happy Sugar Life."

I turned off my narrating voice, and I felt thirsty. All I've been doing is telling a horror story off my memory anyway.

"So, what do you guys think?" I asked them for feedback, while taking the black blanket off of ourselves.. Did I go a little too far?

"The world… is so dark…" Kuroko said, almost in despair.

"W-what are you saying?" I say. My story wasn't that bad right?

"Sugary foods will never taste the same for me again..." Saten said, face looking weak and pale.

"Never was any literal sugar involved you know!?" I replied to her. Did I just make someone go on a diet with a story?

I slowly shifted my gaze to Uiharu. Surely she won't say anything weird right.

"..."

She was out cold.

"EHHHH!?" I gasped in surprise.

I looked at my older sister. "H-how long has she been fainted?" I didn't even notice that she went unconscious.

Instead of replying to my question, Mikoto instead put her hand on my shoulder. "You're banned from scary stories." She said in the most innocent smile ever.

"Finally, my break is here!" A certain store worker cheered. She bought herself some mocha coffee to reward herself another hard day at work. However, she suddenly saw the girl who hates manga across the mall where she worked.

It was quite embarrassing for her to let her imagination run wild, when this girl simply had a twin instead of a split personality. The light brown short haired girl was walking with a shorter girl with pink pigtails. They both wore Tokiwadai uniforms, which meant they were from one of the most prestigious girls' schools in Academy City.

As the two slowly approached the store worker, they made eye contact with each other.

"H-hello." The store worker greeted, her mocha coffee was trembling a little.

"Oh, hi." The brown haired girl said.

"I-I'm sorry!" The store worker bowed apologetically. "I mistakened you for your twin sister, and I must have given you quite the shock.

"A-ah, that was so long ago! No need to sweat too much about it." The girl forgave the store worker quite easily. It was strange, as Tokiwadai girls tended to be one of the most prideful people the store worker had to ever deal with. So a reaction like this was almost unexpected.

"Thank you." She said, showing the drink she was having to the girls. "Should I buy you some mocha coffee as thanks? It's my favorite drink."

"We couldn't possibly trouble you over that!" The pig-tailed girl spoke this time, but she was kind too.

"Don't worry. You know, people often think that mocha coffee is bitter because of the fact that it's a coffee you know? However, mocha coffee is actually a great sugary drink! I seriously recommend-"

"YAHHHHHHHH!"

"AAAAAHHHHH!"

The store worker was suddenly interrupted by the two girls screaming, and started by the sudden noise, she screamed too.

"W-what was that all about!?" The store worker asked, confused.

The two girls were breathing deeply, almost hyperventilating. The pigtailed girl put her hand on the store worker's shoulder.

"D-don't w-worry about it." She says.

"Just please don't talk about anything related to sugar." The brown haired girl added.

"O-okay?" The store worker replied, all too confused.
