Hi everyone, I'm back with more of Married Life. I was asked to do a sequel. Instead of creating a new story, I thought I'd add more to this one. I'm going to add 11 more chapters. I hope you all enjoy.
"San," Brittany yawns trying to get up. "I think she's crying again."
"I'll get her Britt." Santana yawns getting up.
She stubbles a bit as she makes her way to Ariel's crib, in the room next to theirs. It's been three months since she gave birth and gotten more than three hours of sleep at a time.
"Hi little one," Santana says picking her up and bouncing her in her arms. "What's wrong? Are you hungry?" she says as she walks over to the rocking chair.
"She's hungry," Brittany says walking in.
"Britt, you don't have to be up." Santana says as she helps Ariel to latch.
Ariel starts greedily eating as she looks up at her moms.
"I know, but you seemed more exhausted than me." Brittany says smiling at them.
"You have to go to work in the morning so you need the sleep more than me." Santana yawns.
"But you're exhausted. Let me get a few of her crying times." Brittany says. "Once you start at Columbia, you'll need to sleep just as much too."
"That's not for a few more months after Christmas." Santana reminds her.
"Still, you need rest too. Let me take the next one." Brittany says giving her a kiss.
"Okay, but only if you go back to bed now." Santana insists.
"Fine, night," Brittany says.
Santana looks down at Ariel to see her still sucking away. She yawns, hoping that Ariel finishes up soon. She's exhausted from her lack of sleep. She hadn't realized that having a baby would be this hard. Sure, she wasn't expecting it to be a walk in the park, but this is harder than she thought it would be.
"Finally done," Santana says when Ariel finally finishes.
She burps her, then puts her back in her crib.
"Night sweetie," Santana whispers.
She slowly backs out of the room, waiting a second before heading back to bed. Thankfully Ariel doesn't wake again until Brittany's alarm goes off at six am.
"I'll get her, you stay asleep." Brittany says stretching her arms out as she sits up.
"Grumpt," Santana says turning around.
Brittany gets up and heads over to the baby's crib.
"Hello baby girl," Brittany says smiling as she picks up her baby girl. "You have a soiled diaper." she says walking over to the changing table.
She takes the diaper off, balling it up as she holds her breath, throwing it in the diaper pale.
"There we go, stinky diaper gone." Brittany says to her daughter.
She cleans her bottom before putting another diaper on. Bouncing Ariel in her arms, Brittany heads to the kitchen.
"Let's get you feed before you start screaming your head off." Brittany says to her daughter.
She quickly makes a bottle for Ariel, giving it to her.
"Thanks for letting me sleep in." Santana says yawning. "I'll take her so you can get ready."
"I don't mind, you needed the extra sleep." Brittany says handing Ariel over to her. "Plus I feel bad that you've been doing more with Ariel since I have to go to work."
"Well, you'll have to do more once I start law school." Santana says kissing her cheek. "It all evens out."
"I know, it's just one of those days today that I want to stay home." Brittany says heading back to their room to take a quick shower before heading to work. "I'll see you when I get home." she says when she comes back in.
"Love you Britt,"
"Love you too,"
Santana gently places the now napping Ariel in her travel pen. She heads into the kitchen to make herself breakfast and have her one allowed cup of coffee. Thankfully, Ariel sleeps the whole-time allowing Santana to eat in peace.
"Thank you, baby girl," Santana softly says.
Since Ariel is still sleeping, Santana decides to back to sleep as well as she's still tired.
Meanwhile Brittany has just arrived at NYU where she is a professor of mathematics. She teaches the high-end math classes and doctorial students. It's still an hour before her first class, though she does have limited office hours before class.
"Professor Pierce!" a student yells running after her.
"Yes Kim," Brittany says stopping to let the student catch up.
"I think I just finished my proof, but can you look over it before I present it?" Kim asks.
"Of course, I'll look it over today and get it back to you by tomorrow morning. Meet me in my office at eight." Brittany says.
"Thanks professor." Kim says handing over the proof. "I really appreciate it."
Kim leaves as Brittany unlocks her office and heads in. She clears her desk and lays down the proof. She starts going over it, double checking all the work. She gets lost in her work that she doesn't even notice that it's past nine and time for her first class. There's a knock on her door and a young timid man pops his head in.
"Professor, your Calc III class started five minutes ago." the young man says.
"Shoot, thanks Jon, tell the class I'll be right there." Brittany says gathering her materials.
She can't believe that she got so distracted that she missed the start of class. Quickly walking down, the hall, she enters her Calc III class.
"Sorry I'm late, I got distracted working on a proof." Brittany tells them, jumping straight into her lesson plan.
Back home, Santana is woken up by Ariel crying.
"What is it baby girl?" Santana yawns picking her up.
Ariel stares at her for a second before crying very loudly somemore.
"I know, I'm not mama, but please calm down." Santana softly says.
She feeds her, checks her diaper, burbs her and changes her onesie. Nothing calms down Ariel. So, she pulls out her phone and texts her wife.
To BrittBritt: Can I call you?
From BrittBritt: Can you wait like ten minutes? I'm almost done with class.
To BrittBritt: Sure, Ariel won't settle down, she misses you.
From BrittBritt: I miss you both too
Ariel cries the whole time until Brittany Facetimes.
'Thank god,' Santana says answering instantly. 'She hasn't stopped crying; I think she wants you.'
'Awe poor Ariel,' Brittany says.
Santana swears when Ariel hears Brittany's voice, she stops crying. She holds the phone up so Ariel can see her mama.
'Hi baby girl,' Brittany says waving to Ariel.
Ariel makes gurgling sounds and smiles at her mama.
'Finally,' Santana sighs as Ariel has stopped crying.
'She's truly your daughter San.' Brittany says smiling.
'What are you talking about?' Santana says narrowing her eyes at her wife.
'Just that you love me most and our daughter is obsessed with me just like you.' Brittany tells her.
'Well, she does settle down easier for you.' Santana admits.
'It's okay, I'm obsessed with the two of you.' Brittany says biting her lip.
'Thanks Britt,' Santana says.
'Anything for the two of you.' Brittany says waving before hanging up as she has another class in ten minutes.
Santana carries the now settled down Ariel back to her room, to get dressed.
"I'll be right back, sweetie." Santana tells Ariel.
She quickly gets changed and picks Ariel back up. Thankful that she didn't start crying again.
"What should we do today?" Santana asks Ariel. "I was thinking maybe a walk around the park." she continues.
Since Ariel doesn't cry, Santana takes it as going to the park is a good idea. She gets the stroller out, putting Ariel in it before heading out of the building. She's not a block down the street when she gets a call from her mom.
'Hi mami,'
'Hi honey,'
'I'm here too,' Whitney loudly says.
'Hey Whitney,'
'So, we're calling to see how you're doing.' Gloria says.
'Both of you,' Whitney adds.
'We're exhausted, Ariel doesn't sleep for more than four hours. She's obsessed with Britt and cries more when she's not her. I try to let Britt sleep more since she has to go to work.' Santana tells them.
'Awe, that's so sweet of you.' Whitney says.
'She sounds exactly like you. It took nearly a year before you would sleep through the night.' Gloria says.
'Great,' Santana grumbles.
'You know you can call us any time if you need help.' Gloria says.
'I know,' Santana says. 'Is that why you called?'
'Yes, but also to confirm Ashely coming up to visit for Thanksgiving.' Whitney says.
'We're so excited for her to come up.' Santana happily says. 'I wish you all could come too.'
'Your father has to work.' Maria says.
'And Ashely really wanted some alone time with you two, so I agreed we'd stay here this time. Plus, someone has to keep your mom company.' Whitney says. 'But we will see you for Christmas.'
'Yes, I'm so looking forward to that.' Santana says.
Ariel starts to cry right after that.
'Go get your baby girl.' Gloria says.
'Bye, talk to you both later.' Santana says hanging up.
Santana kneels in front of the stroller to see what is wrong. She coos at her daughter to try and calm her down. She tickles her belly.
"Hey baby girl, what's wrong?" Santana asks.
Ariel stares at her mami and stops crying. Santana is relieved that she stopped crying rather quickly.
"Thank you, baby girl," Santana says giving her a pacifier before continuing to walk around.
They spend two hours walking around Central Park, then head back to the apartment.
Meanwhile, Brittany is teaching her last class of the day.
"Can anyone show me the first step in this proof?" Brittany asks her PhD class.
All the hands go up.
"Nick, you're up." Brittany says.
Nick walks up and lays out the first step of the proof.
"Good job, Jane, you do the next step." Brittany says.
Her class manages to solve the problem just before class ends.
"Work on the next two proofs before our next class." Brittany loudly says as everyone packs up.
Brittany heads to her office for a half hour before heading home.
"San," Brittany softly says coming in quietly not wanting to wake Ariel up if she's asleep.
"We're in the kitchen!" Santana loudly says.
Brittany walks over, giving Santana a long kiss on the lips before turning to her daughter.
"Hello baby girl," Brittany says.
She picks her up and walks back over to her wife.
"What are you making?" Brittany asks.
"I thought I'd make us some mac and cheese." Santana says.
"I love mac and cheese, thanks honey." Brittany says kissing her cheek.
"How was your day?" Santana asks.
"Good, my doctorial students solved their hardest proof yet." Brittany proudly says. "How about your day?" she asks.
"We went to the park and talked to our moms." Santana says.
"What did our moms want?" Brittany asks.
"They were just checking in on us and confirming Ashely coming out for Thanksgiving." Santana says.
"I'm so excited that she's coming out. I wish our parents could or we could go there." Brittany says.
"Yeah, but it will be nice to have a quiet Thanksgiving with just us, Ariel and Ashely." Santana says finishing up making the mac and cheese.
"It will, hopefully, Ariel will sleep through the night." Brittany says.
"We can hope." Santana agrees.
Lord Tubbing POV
"Go get me some cheese." I order the thing.
"Yes sir, right away." the thing says heading into the kitchen.
My Brittany brings the baby over and sits her next to me. She grabs my fur. Since she's my second favorite person I let her.
"I can't believe he let's her lay on him." the she devil says.
"Lord Tubbington loves her." my Brittany says smiling.
That's right she devil. I love your spawn cause she's like my Brittany.
"Here you go sir." the thing says dropping a chunk of cheese in front of me.
Unfortunately, because he does this in front of the she devil, it's taken away by her.
"You don't need this." the she devil says turning to my Brittany. "He's on a diet."
"I hate it." my Brittany says sighing.
I hate when she agrees with the she devil.
"You should have waited until they were gone." I growl at the thing.
He just shrugs and I hiss at him.
End POV
"Night sweetie," Santana sweetly says placing Ariel in her crib.
"We'll see you when you wake up in a few hours." Brittany says yawning.
Santana frowns as both cats curl up under the crib.
"I still think we shouldn't let them sleep under the crib." Santana grumbles.
"San," Brittany says.
"I know, I know," Santana says as they've had this argument several times.
"Let's get some sleep while she's sleeping." Brittany whispers as they sneak out.
