A/N: Okay a few things I got a few questions from the last chapter that need answering. Okay first, yes this is Omniverse Ben, but I honestly and I think you all agree with me that we prefer the AF and UA style. But after he was sent to Fairy Tails Universe, his art style is more like it was during the Hero's United Crossover with GR (Generator Rex). Second, since coming to FT he hasn't used Swampfire in awhile, so he was taken back by how putrid he smelt and I will be using his blossomed form. Third, I honestly preferred the Ghostfreak from the classics don't get me wrong I love all shows (except the Reboot and no reboot aliens) but that doesn't mean I'll have Ghostfreak try and escape like he did in the classics, especially in this world where everyone is fueled with magic. The alien's art style I'll be using a mix of all of them from the classics like Ghostfreak to Omniverse like I'm doing with Swampfire. Don't get me wrong I love UAF Swampfire, but his blossomed form is kinda cool, kinda wished they implanted it in UAF his design would have been sick. As for Ben's team, I was thinking of doing him and Cana and have Mira join every so often and then have Ben occasionally team up with Natsu's Team. Oh I'll be mixing the Omniverse and Fairy Tail's story's more so Fairy Tail than Omniverse tho. I did want to implant an Exceed for Ben, but honestly that's your choice if you want let me know in the comments and if there are positive comments than I'll put one in and if you don't I'll mow down the idea. Now the hardest choice I've been having is whether to add the evolutionary function, I've been literally having debates on the idea, so let me know in the comments aswell if you want me to add the Ultimates.
Chapter 4: Let The Games Begin
After the Wyvern Mission, Ben had woken up Cana as they had arrived back in Magnolia. The trio then journeyed back to the Guild Hall. Cana grinned as she stretched while gazing at the shape shifter, "Man, it's so good to be home."
"We haven't been gone that long, Cana." Mira chuckled at her antics.
"I haven't fought like that in a good while. After spending seven years asleep." Cana reminded as Mira nodded in agreement.
"Don't get used to it, once you start craving battles they won't ever stop coming." Ben remarked speaking from multiple experiences.
"No need to worry Ben, there aren't space hungry warlords or insane doppelgangers, or exploding bombs that are capable of wiping out the universe here." Cana chuckled as Ben nodded his head in agreement, "Here we have dragons, demons, Kings and Queens. I'm sure if you add shape shifting aliens, you'll fit right in, in no time." She grinned as Ben smiled at her.
"Thanks Cana." He chuckled as Mira smiled at the way Cana tried cheering him up. Even tho she was asleep when his mysterious friend showed up to warn the alien hero.
The trio walked in a comfortable silence till they reached the guild hall. Before they walked inside Ben gazed at the duo, "Thanks for accompanying me on my first mission, girls. It means a lot to me and I also hope we can go on more in the future." He smiled as Mira responded with a firm hug to the boys side.
"It's no problem, Ben." She smiled.
"Indeed, I had fun and maybe doing missions with you in the future won't be so bad at all." Cana grinned as she turned towards the guild's doors and kicked the door in, "WE'RE HOME!" She screamed gaining everyone's attention. Ben and Mira kinda sweatdropped at how eager Cana is.
"Welcome home, you three." Makarov greeted once the trio entered. Natsu and Happy rushed over quickly.
"How was your mission! Was it awesome?!" Natsu grinned envious of Mira and Cana about getting to go on a mission with Ben, "What happened?!"
Mira and Cana walked pass them towards the bar where Makarov was sitting with a mug of ale. He greeted the waitress and the alcoholic who went back to there usual jobs, sitting at the bar and drinking constantly while the other served the drunkards of the guild.
"How was the mission?" Makarov asked as Mira smiled slightly while Cana downed an entire barrel of alcohol sighing in relief.
Ben was in the corner of the guild explaining how the mission went to Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Gray, Elfman, Lisanna, Wendy, Happy, and Carla. Juvia watched from a distance as she gazed at Gray intently. Gajeel was leaning against the wall listening and ignoring them. Levy smiled at Gajeel, but also listened to his story with Lily. While everyone talked over various things.
"Master, I believe we need to talk alone." Mira answered gaining Makarov and Cana's attention interested on what Mira wanted to say.
"Sure, let's head to my office." He replied as Mira and Makarov with Cana in tow entered the office.
"Whoa, you fought a Wyvern Queen?" Lucy asked shocked as Ben chuckled.
"I've fought scary things." He replied when Elfman started going on and on how a real man he was. When Gajeel spoke up.
"I've never met someone like you before, Tennyson. I don't know if your brave or insanely stupid." He offered a compliment.
"Uh thanks, Gajeel." He chuckled at the attempt at the compliment.
"Forget him, Ben! Tell us something interesting have you ever lost a battle!" Natsu yelled wanting to know if Ben ever lost a fight.
Ben's face faltered as he remembered the one person he couldn't beat, "Uh yeah, I have lost before." Everyone around him went wide eyed they saw him fight Natsu, but not seeing him go all out because he didn't wanna hurt him.
"What happened?" Gray asked getting over his initial shock.
"His name was Aggregor." He then begun retelling his constant defeat at the hands of Aggregor an insane Osmosian clone of his best friend. He told them how he was hunting five aliens he captured and went to great lengths to achieve his goals. He told them how he recaptured them and he lost every time trying to protect them, he even told them about the Ultimatrix which he acquired from Albedo a few months prior and explained how the Ultimatrix wasn't a watch, but a gauntlet and could evolve his aliens into there ultimate form. He told them how it worked by placing the selected species in a simulation, right down to the DNA, for an extended period of time, about a million years or so, in what is described as a 'worst-case scenario' the actual DNA is then simply modified to match the new DNA. He told them the method which was called survival of the fittest routine which was why the ultimates were more combat-centered than their normal forms. Anyway after explaining that he went back to Aggregor who almost killed him as Brainstorm to acquire Ra'ad (who'd he scanned and later named Ampfibian) who'd been hiding inside his Ultimatrix.
They all grimaced from the story on how insane Aggregor was, but they didn't say anything as he kept going. He then told them how he absorbed all five aliens becoming a mutated hybrid of them and then he told them how he fought him as Humungousaur, but even that did little to nothing to him. None of his aliens seemed to be able to win against him. He then explained how he traveled across the universe looking for the infinity map that could open a doorway to the Forge of Creation where the Celestialsapiens reside, which is hidden outside the universe. Aggregor had planned to absorb the baby Celestialsapien because all older Celestialsapiens have two personalities inside there heads, so he took his chances with the baby so he wouldn't have to deal with the multiple personalities. He then stopped as everyone was on the edge of there seats waiting to hear the rest of the story.
"What happened next?" Lisanna asked curiosity erupting inside her Ben gazed at the ground not wanting to continue.
"Did this 'Aggregor' succeed in absorbing the alien child?" Erza asked.
A lone tear ran down his face confusing everyone. He quickly brushed it aside and spoke again, "No, what happened next was abit too painful to remember." He shook his head as he continued. He told them Aggregor was seconds away from having infinite power till his best friend Kevin absorbed his Ultimatrix becoming a hybrid of his aliens and defeating Aggregor. Everyone sighed in relief as they heard Aggregor had been defeated, "But with all that power flowing through him, he went insane and I had to make the call save him or put him down. When Kevin absorbed my power, it tore my team apart. Kevin going rogue, my cousin Gwen thought he could still be saved, and me, I made the call in putting him down, but Gwen wasn't too happy on my choice and ended up fighting me. I did my best not to hurt her, but she couldn't get the idea on how power hungry he was. It was then where I had tricked her into thinking I'd help her save him, but with Ultimate Echo Echo, I was one soundwave blast from putting him down for good till I remembered the memories we had and gave him another chance, but yeah that was the first opponent to ever best me in a fight repeatedly." He ended.
"When you were fighting Aggregor why didn't you use that Alien X or whatever his name was or these so called ultimate forms?" Elfman asked as everyone agreed with him.
"You said the ultimates were more combat ready why didn't you use them in your fight with Natsu?" Erza asked.
"Alien X is one of my strongest aliens, but like I said he has multiple personalities inside his head and in order to do anything the two personalities have to be in agreement with me and at the time both of Alien X's personalities hated me. Onto the Ultimate's, well the Ultimate's ended up becoming Sentient beings meaning they had a mind of there own and were trapped inside the Ultimatrix against there will and were hell bent on killing me to get out. I didn't want them to suffer anymore so, I freed them, I wasn't some monster who'd allow them to be slaves. So in order to free them, I had to die. My new Omnitrix doesn't have the evolution function inside it or it probably does, but I have to find the right code to unlock it. And if I had decided to use ultimates against Natsu, he'd still be in the medical wing."
"Wait if you had to die in order for them to be free, how are you still alive?" Wendy asked confused on Ben's situation.
"The failsafe in the Ultimatrix activated."
"What's a failsafe?" Levy asked.
"The failsafe has two modes. The first is if my life is threatened or in danger, it'll choose whichever alien for me to best accommodate that situation. The second is if I were to ever die, I'll be revived moments later. Cheating death." He explained as everyone went wide eyed at him.
"So if like what happened at Tenrou Island, happened again would the failsafe activate?" Levy asked intrigued by the watches power.
"Yeah, but to be honest that was my first time transforming into that nuclear warhead alien which Mavis named Atomix." He then smiled at the memory of Mavis picking the aliens name.
"Your life is SOOOO COOL! I WANNA GO TO SPACE!" Natsu yelled jealous that Ben got to explore the Galaxy.
"That's nothing, I met both my past and future selves. That was definitely not a good experience." He laughed as they looked at him crazy.
"You've been to the future?!" Carla announced as Ben placed a hand under his chin recounting his encounter with his future self.
"Once as a kid, dude turned out to be a real dick, but I changed him for the better. My past self appeared when we were on our way to the Forge of Creation and he helped battle against Aggregor. Then I ran into a time traveler who was hell bent on killing me, so future me wouldn't exist." Ben shivered at that memory on how Eon turned Way Big, Swampfire, and Ultimate Swampfire into dust.
"What haven't you done?!" Lucy exclaimed.
Ben laughed which drew in a lot of confused faces, "Two of my dangerous villains teamed up against me and almost won."
"What?" Gray asked curiously. He then told them the story on Vilgax and Albedo teaming up using his friends and family as hostages.
Mira, Cana, and Makarov sat in the office. Mira had explained the mission in more detail than Cana did and then explained Ben's mysterious friend who appeared out of nowhere and proceeded to tell him how it took over ten years to find him and he asked why Ben never went home. She also explained how Ben told him he was home and that he couldn't leave his new friends and family even tho he misses his old friends and family. She also told them about the warning the mysterious man left him with about some beings from his old universe not catching onto his sudden disappearance.
"I see, if he came here to warn him, things can't be good." Makarov replied sternly as Cana and Mira were silent.
"He didn't seem worried either, Master, which concerns me." Mira answered concerned for the boy.
"I know, I'm worried aswell. Did he mention anything about those beings?" Makarov asked as Mira shook her head, "This could be bad, but for now let's not worry about it."
"Master, when the rubble buried him, we thought he had died to protect us." Cana begun, while Makarov listened to what she had to say, "I don't know what happened, I felt all these emotions well up inside and it hurt knowing he was dead. Can you explain why I felt like that?"
"I can't explain it either, Master, but I felt the same way. Just knowing Ben was hurt or dead was enough to tear me apart." Mira added sadly, but smiled knowing Ben had survived.
Makarov smiled, but said nothing on the matter, "Who knows Cana, Mira, but enough of this go and enjoy yourselves." Cana and Mira weren't really satisfied not having any of there questions answered sighed as she and the takeover mage soon left the office, 'I can't tell you two, I'll let nature take it's course and let there relationship develop naturally.'
Over the next few months, news of Fairy Tails core members returning and Ben joining has been spreading like widefire. Ben had become extremely popular across Fiore. There wasn't a place he wasn't known. They talked about Fairy Tail's newest takeover mage who seemed to rival their S-class mages in power. Makarov, Mira, and Erza had left to speak to Twilight Orge's Guild Master and almost brought down the building much to Natsu and the others delight. Ben had also gotten to join Team Natsu on a few missions, they were kinda in shock to see him in action, but were overjoyed he was in Fairy Tail. Over the last month Natsu had demanded a rematch and Ben immediately denied it telling him, that he promised after there first fight, he wouldn't ask for a rematch.
Ben had also gotten closer to Mira and Cana, which made him feel happy to know them more and he could honestly say he trusted them with his life like they trusted him. While in his spare time, Ben tried hacking the Omnitrix to unlock either Master Control, the evolution function, or new aliens, but he got nothing which made him frustrated with Azmuth.
While everyone was inside the guild, partying and celebrating a major event was coming up and Romeo decided with there main members back they had a winning chance at entering and winning, "Hey, are we gonna enter the Grand Magic Games?" He asked everyone suddenly went quiet at this.
"What's that?" Erza asked.
"Romeo, hush there's no way we'll be entering." Macao yelled at his son, "Ignore him everyone." He chuckled sheepishly.
"No, with everyone here, we'll have a winning shot." Romeo yelled when Makarov decided to voice his opinion.
"What is this Grand Magic Games?"
"It's a tournament with the guilds, first place gets 30,000,000 jewels!" He answered everyone was definitely interested in this.
"When does this tournament start?" Ben asked curiously maybe he'd participate.
"Three months from now." Romeo added as Makarov jumped highly into the air.
"We'll enter! Alright, Team Fairy Tail, we'll need to start training hard!" He added as everyone erupted into cheers while Ben felt abit conflicted. Natsu went over to the boy and smiled.
"Are you gonna participate with us?" Natsu asked with Ben on the team there win was guaranteed, but he shook his head.
"Nah." Everyone was left dumbstuck when he rejected the offer.
"Ben, you can't be serious. You're probably one of the strongest in our guild being able to rival Laxus and Gildarts in power." Makarov was a little saddened that the boy wouldn't compete.
"I'm not really into fighting tournaments. Plus the last time I was in said fighting tournament was when this Tetramand named Looma tried proposing to me and in order to reject her proposal I had to fight her, so I'm not really comfortable reliving that memory." Ben explained as he got up from his seat drawing everyone's attention, "Besides you're just as strong as my aliens, I wouldn't go far saying ultimates, but we'll see only time will tell. Besides you have three months, enough time for me to whip you into shape."
"Wait if you're gonna train us, will you compete with us?" Lucy asked abit skeptical on how the boy was acting.
He grabbed his hood and placed it above his head while stuffing his hands into his pockets and grinned, "Just cause I'm training you doesn't mean I'll compete." With that he left the guild hall and walked down the trail. He soon entered the forest and walked down the trail to a house in the distance.
It was a two story house with the paint being of course black and green. It seemed to resemble Upgrades body. With a large plumbers insignia on the side. There was a small white fence around the house as he walked through. He pulled out his key and placed it inside the lock, he opened the door to come see the inside. He smiled at his house as he saw the living room a couch and a recliner with a small table infront. There was a small desk with a lamp on it, beside the couch. The furniture were all turned towards the flat screen he built with both the Galvan's and Cerebrocrustacean's brains, hanging above the fireplace. He took off his black jacket and hung it up while placing his keys in a bowl near the door.
He gazed into the kitchen where there was an island with three stools centered infront of it. A table with five chairs around. He walked into his kitchen to see the cabinets, a smoothie machine (he created using Grey Matter and Brainstorm since he found out smoothies don't exist here. He nearly had a stroke.) He gazed at the hand made toaster next to it. Oven, fridge, and the sink. He chuckled to himself as he opened his fridge grabbing an apple and closing the fridge to see a man in a white lab cloak and a small grey amphibian on his shoulder.
He grinned at his guests, "Can I get you guys anything? It's not everyday where I have guests."
"A very nice place, Benjamin. Do you have any tea?" Paradox gestured to his house as Ben nodded and soon got to preparing some tea.
Paradox and Azmuth came over to the Island to see the boy, "Hello Benjamin." Azmuth smiled at the alien hero.
"How's it going Azmuth?" He smiled at the Galvan.
"Good, I heard from Paradox on what's to come in the future and since you don't wanna return I came to update the Omnitrix while giving you an early birthday present." Azmuth smiled which made Ben raise an eyebrow.
"Here let me get the tea, and we can talk about this." Ben replied as the time walker and the first thinker nodded firmly as Ben had finished preparing the tea while reaching into one of his cabinet's grabbing a few snacks he had kept.
Ben walked around the Island and sat on one of the stools as did Paradox. While Azmuth grabbed one of the cookies and dunked it into his tea, "So what happened that you had to bring Azmuth here?"
"Benjamin, I have heard of the upcoming Grand Magic Games and it is imperative that you compete no matter what." Paradox said sternly as Ben raised an eyebrow at the sudden declaration.
"Why is it so important I compete?" Ben asked skeptically not like being kept in the dark.
"It is hard to explain, Ben, but know you have to compete no matter what." Azmuth relayed, as Paradox nodded firmly.
"Fine, I'll compete." He sighed he knew he wasn't gonna win this argument with the Time walker and the thinker, "So anyway, back to these updates and early birthday present. What's that about?"
"It's been brought to my attention with your feeble attempts to hack the Omnitrix." Azmuth glared at the teenager who shifted his gaze away whistling innocently, "And with the impeding doom, approaching in the future due to Paradox, I decided to give you your birthday present."
"Okay and that is?"
"Access Master Control." Azmuth announced as the holowheel appeared with the aliens faces scrolling insanely fast. The faceplate slid backwards as the dial launched into the air where it glowed brightly.
"Master Control Unlocked." The AI inside the Omnitrix announced as Ben went wide eyed.
"Are you serious?!" Ben couldn't believe Azmuth was giving him Master Control.
"Of course I am. You're gonna need it for the upcoming threats. And the update, I was finally able to perfect the Evolutionary Function to the point where they won't become Sentient again and try to kill you." Azmuth explained as he walked over to the Omnitrix and seemed to fiddle with it for a few minutes till the AI spoke again.
"Evolutionary Function Unlocked."
"Azmuth, I don't know what to say, thank you." He smiled teary eyed.
Azmuth smiled, "Continue doing the right thing, Benjamin. We will be watching you." Paradox drunk his tea as he watched Azmuth give Ben the necessary assets in order to combat the future threats.
The Omnitrix Wielder, The First Thinker, and The Time Walker conversed for awhile longer. Ben letting them in on his life here. Paradox and Azmuth were proud of the boy as then Azmuth told him everything that was happening back home. He also told Ben how Paradox told him about the Annihilargh which made Ben tense, but Azmuth told the boy he was proud that he got the Celestialsapien to cooperate with him which made Ben smile nervously. Paradox soon pulled out his pocket watch and saw the time.
"It seems time is up. Thank you for having us over Benjamin." Paradox smiled as Azmuth hopped into the Time Walkers hands.
"No thank you, for coming to visit me and by all means come again." He grinned happily which made the thinker nod happily.
"We'll be cheering you on in the Games, Ben. You better win." Azmuth warned as Ben chuckled nervously.
"With Master Control and the Ultimate's unlocked, there's nothing that could stop me." Ben joked as Paradox and Azmuth laughed.
"We'll be looking forward to your success, Tennyson." With that said Paradox and Azmuth left in a blinding blue light.
He gazed down at the Omnitrix before his thoughts started shifting from various aliens he could use as he grinned widely, "Yeah, this'll be pretty fun."
The moments after Ben had left the guild hall, everyone gazed at his departing back before conversation resumed.
"Is he seriously not gonna compete?" Juvia asked abit concerned.
"I think he will." Mira smiled brightly, "I know Ben, and he'd never turn his back on his comrades beside with that much money we'll be able to remake the Guild Hall." Everyone cheered happily before everyone was soon engulfed into various conversations on who should compete.
Cana sat at the bar gulping down a bottle when Erza walked over to her, "You alright, Cana?"
"Huh? Oh yeah, I'm fine." She smiled when Erza saw straight through alcoholic.
"No your not. Besides Mira, your one of the only people who know Ben the best." Erza replied, Mira who'd been washing dishes perked up when she heard Ben's name and decided to join them.
"I don't know, I'm kinda worried he won't wanna compete with us." She answered which made Erza chuckle, "What's so funny, Scarlet?!"
"I've never seen the great Cana Alberona concerned over a guy." Erza whispered which made her chuckle again causing Cana to turn red with anger or embarrassment. Mira also joined in on the laughter.
"It's not funny!" She yelled angrily.
"Sure, it isn't." Mira chuckled. When the trio was broken from there conversation as yelling was soon heard from the guild. They gazed around to see Natsu and Max arguing.
"You wouldn't be able to beat me, Natsu. You couldn't even beat Ben and he was holding back majorly." Max commented which angered Natsu.
"I can definitely take Ben, if he gave me a rematch! And I can definitely take you!" Natsu yelled as Max chuckled cockly.
"We can settle this outside." He challenged as Natsu stood up anger written on his face.
"LET'S GO!" Natsu yelled, as him, Max, Gray, Juvia, Lucy, Wendy, Happy, Carla, Elfman, Lisanna, Nab, Vijeeter, and Warren journeyed outside.
"That can't be good." Erza acknowledged as she, Cana, and Mira soon joined crowd outside to see Max and Natsu staring each other down.
Natsu soon charged Max, but Max dodged it and kicked Natsu throwing sand at him, sending him flying.
Natsu couldn't believe it, "What are you kidding?" He exclaimed in disbelief.
"Did you seriously think we just sat around and did nothing the whole time while you guys were gone. We were all working on our fighting chops." Max boasted as he smirked as he was pushing Natsu back.
"I don't believe it." Wendy replied shocked.
"Natsu's getting schooled by Max?!" Lucy said in shock.
"Well it ain't over yet!" Natsu yelled leaping from the ground and charging the sand mage who smirked. Natsu started throwing rapid punches at the blonde mage, but he kept blocking and dodging them.
"SAND REBELLION!" He threw up a sandstorm which knocked Natsu off his feet getting caught in the massive storm of sand.
"NOW YOU'RE JUST PISSING ME OFF!" He erupted in anger as his flames ignited and as he used it to get out of the massive sandstorm which sparked up a massive dust cloud. The crowd coughed from the storm.
"Hey, watch it!" Gray yelled.
"TEACH HIM A LESSON, NATSU!" Happy yelled eagerly.
"Weren't you just arguing with him a minute ago?" Carla inquired confused at her fellow exceed.
"That has nothing to do with this." He replied nonchalantly as he spun around.
"FIRE DRAGON'S IRON FIST!" He chanted as he rushed the sand mage who smirked as he created a large sand shield.
"SAND WALL!" Max yelled as Natsu's attack collided with his sandwall. Max smiled in victory as Natsu couldn't land a single attack on him. Natsu seemed to get even angrier as he couldn't land a single attack on Max, "I'm a whole lot stronger than I used to be, not being on Laxus, Gildarts, or even Ben's level, but you're just a one trick pony, Natsu." Max boasted even more as the audience was stunned from the display.
"Max is beating Natsu, this is crazy!" Vijeeter acknowledged knowing that they were stronger than there missing members who were considered stronger than them seven years ago.
"I never thought I'd see the day." Warren replied abit stunned and eager to know they were stronger than them.
"Hey, maybe that means we can beat him too?!" Nab stated confidently which made Erza glare at them which scared them.
"Natsu losing to Max?" Mira questioned skeptically.
"I know, it's not something I'd see with my own eyes." Erza replied.
Max kept up his sandwall which made Natsu even angrier till lightning started generating off his body. Max went abit eye wide as the lightning soon engulfed his body like it did when he fought Ben and Hades.
"LIGHTNING-FLAME DRAGON'S MODE!" Natsu yelled which made Max stagger back abit.
"He's using it again." Gray replied.
"He used it against Hades, then Ben, and now Max." Lisanna added, "Is it a last resort or something?"
"Who knows." Elfman replied.
"Whoa, I don't think I'm ready for this." Max replied abit scared on what was about to occur. He's seen Natsu use this against Ben and seen the shape shifter come out unscathed.
"LIGHTNING-FLAME DRAGON'S-" He soon inhaled the cocoon of fire and lightning till his cheeks swelled up, "ROAR!" He roared sending the massive breath attack at Max who dodged it by a hair.
"Alright, I give up. I'm not ready to die today." Max surrendered as Natsu grinned victoriously.
Natsu then glared at Nab, Vijeeter, and Warren, "Who's next?!" The three men soon shook their heads not ready to die. Everyone joined the duo when Gray spoke up.
"This isn't good. We're not ready for the games. Aside from our three strongest which would be Laxus, Gildarts, and Ben. We're gonna have to get stronger." Gray commented.
"Hey I'm strong." Natsu glared as Erza spoke up.
"You had to resort to using your Lightning-Flame Dragon Mode in order to win against Max. If you actually look at it, whether you admit it or not Max was more skilled than you." Erza answered.
"We have three months to prepare for the games we just have to look for a way to get super strong!" Natsu acknowledged.
"Anyone know any ways to do that?" Lucy asked as everyone went silent to her question. They didn't know how to answer that till another voice spoke up.
"I think I can be of help." Everyone turned towards a figure approaching the group and they smiled widely, "But I'm gonna tell you guys that this training course won't be for the faint of heart."
"We will do whatever it takes to win!" Natsu yelled as everyone agreed with him, Ben smirked as he pulled his hood down.
"I'm so glad you can say that now." He lifted up his left arm as the dial launched into the air glowing brightly, "Because I won't tolerant you guys quitting later on."
Team Natsu, Juvia, Cana, Team Takeover, Team Shadow Gear, and Ben had went to train at the beach. Natsu wore red swim trunks with his scarf wrapped around his head, Gray wore black swim trunks, Ben wore green swim trunks with his signature black jacket unzipped. Jet wore yellow swim trunks and Droy wore a large Hawaiian shirt with blue swim trunks and a hot dog in his hand. Elfman wore a red speedo which made Ben gag.
Lucy wore a white bikini with pink patterns on them, Erza wore a red bikini, Mira wore a white and red bikini with a black skirt, Juvia wore light blue bikini, Lisanna wore a silver bikini holding a beach ball, Wendy wore a blue one piece swimsuit as did Levy, but her's was orange. Cana wore a black swimsuit as she grinned. Everyone raced into the sea, except Ben who grinned with a smile.
Ben threw out a bath towel and layed under a large umbrella to keep from getting sunburnt, before training them he allowed them to have abit of fun before he started torturing them, he also didn't tell them he had access to every single alien in the watch or that he could ultimatize now. He snickered evily as he thought of the different ways to train them. When Mira and Cana walked over to the boy.
"You know, it's not a good idea to be over here by yourself." Mira smiled as Ben smiled at the girls company.
"It leaves me to my thoughts and how to go about training you guys. Plus I have three months to drill into the vast difference in power between me and you guys."
"I think we all understand the difference in power." Cana chuckled as she sat beside him while Mira sat on the other side of him.
"We'll see." He smiled as he closed his eyes enjoying the cooling breeze. Mira and Cana gazed at each other before they gazed at the sleeping shape shifter.
"He's so confusing sometimes." Mira sighed as she gazed over to Cana, "Did you hear about the second Fairy Tail Team that formed to join the games?"
"Yeah, Gajeel asked me to join and Juvia to be a reserve member." Cana answered as Mira chuckled at the Iron Dragon Slayer.
"He asked me to join as well."
"Yeah I heard he got Laxus to join aswell, you think he's gonna ask Ben to join?" Cana asked as they gazed onto the boy who had fallen asleep.
"I don't know, he'll probably fight for the other team." Mira answered as Cana nodded her head in agreement.
"But if Ben does fight for the other team, who will Gajeel get for our fifth member?" Cana asked curiously as Mira shrugged. The girls kept talking for half an hour before Ben woke up.
He rubbed his eyes and knew it was time to start training, "Alright let's get started." Ben got up from his spot and stretched. Cana and Mira followed after him as he yelled to them, "Alright everyone let's get started!" The group soon came over to him as they stood around him, "Who's first?" He asked when Erza walked forward.
"I think it's best if I challenge you first." She smirked as everyone went wide eyed which made Ben smirk.
"Confident, I like that. Let's start. Everyone back up." Ben announced as everyone stood back as Erza stood before the shape shifter. Everyone watched the duo till an emerald flash engulfed there vision.
Ben's body started hardened into crystals, his body turned a magenta color. His lower body, left hand, and his entire right arm were crimson red. Pink crystals litered his entire body. One on his head, two on his chest, two on his back, one on his left shoulder, another on his right shoulder. Five crystals ran down his right arm. There were two crystals on both of his feet. His mouth closed up, with two green eyes. Sporting the Omnitrix badge on his chest, on the top and bottom two small crystals were attached to the badge, "CHROMASTONE!" The Crystalsapien erupted as the emerald light died down. Erza went wide eyed as she didn't even see him touch the watch. She shook her head as she yelled.
"REQUIP!" This armor is mainly composed of orange and yellow leather-like material, which is sported in the form of several orange wing-shaped pauldrons that cover her shoulders and waist. The shoulder pauldrons appear to have white wings protruding from the center of the shoulder guard and the pauldrons surrounding Erza's waist are held up by a simple dark pink belt from the front. Erza dons a plain white one-piece suit that is worn with a matching pair of metal arm guards and large bolded knee guards over a pair of high-heeled armored greaves that cover her calves. The exposed part of Erza's thighs are covered by fishnet leggings, which are omitted from the anime. In this outfit, Erza's hair is styled in tangled buns on top of her head and wears a silver choker around her neck that features a reddish-pink gem to complement her armor. Two mid sized swords appeared in her hands as she stood ready.
Erza soon rushed the Crystalsapien as Chromastone stood ready as she immediately started slashing at him which he dodged constantly. He jumped back as he soon blasted her with a multicolored ultraviolet ray. Erza dodged the attack as she rushed forward trying to slash him which he dodged, she used her right sword and thrusted it forward which he caught. She used the left sword and tried to slash him again, but he used his wrist to catch the side from striking his head. Chromastone grinned as the Omnitrix badge glowed a bright green color before her eyes were blinded by the emerald flash.
In Chromastone's place was an armored velociraptor standing on circular wheels. He had a black cone shaped head with a visor in a black and white jumpsuit. He had a black and blue striped tail, sporting the Omnitrix badge in the middle of his chest, "XLR8!" The Kineceleran erupted as the emerald light died down, "Hope you can keep up." He smirked as his visor slid down as he vanished in a blue and black blur.
Erza chuckled before she yelled, "REQUIP!" This armor is more like a fancy attire bearing reminiscence to a cheetah. Its breastplate takes the form of a very revealing, armored cheetah-patterned top, with some bare armor protruding from the upper part of it, in correspondence to Erza's breasts, and some fur lining the lower edges, exposing her stomach and some cleavage. There's no waistguard, with the armor instead sporting a pair of revealing black shorts, with a belt holding a cloth hanging over Erza's left leg attached to them; the arms are covered by dark armbands reaching up just below Erza's shoulders, with Erza's left arm being protected by cheetah-patterned armor, consisting of a single pauldron and a wide arm guard. Her legs are covered in similar stockings reaching up to her thighs, with armored, asymmetric high-heeled boots over them: yet again, the left leg is the more armored one, with the boot reaching up to the knee, which is protected by a cheetah-patterned knee guard; the right leg, on the other hand, is covered by a boot only reaching up to part of Erza's calf. The outfit is completed by a large collar around Erza's neck and by a tail hanging from the back of her shorts, both made of bushy fur, plus a pair of large cheetah's ears adorning both sides of Erza's head. A pair of short swords with elaborate handguards similar to a rapier's, shaped like rose's thorns appeared in her hands.
She gazed around for the Kineceleran when she saw the blur speeding onto the ocean. She soon raced after him where the Kineceleran and the Flight Armored Erza clashed repeatedly. Erza noticed that even with her flight armor she still couldn't hold her own against the Kineceleran who seemed to be faster than she thought. XLR8 with his heightened speed, punched Erza multiple times, he had to admit her Flight Armor was fast, but not fast enough to catch the Kineceleran. XLR8 raced back to the beach with the scarlet haired women chasing after him. The Kineceleran soon started racing around her kicking up a massive sandstorm.
Erza trapped in the sandstorm soon yelled, "REQUIP!" This armor is black in color, sporting some silver trimming. A distinctive feature of the armor is its pair of wings, which are reminiscent of those of a Dragon or a bat. Around Erza's neck is a neck guard decorated by several gems, and, while wearing this armor, her long scarlet hair is tied up in a high ponytail, with two bangs framing her face. Her large shoulderpads, each composed of two silver-edged plates one over the other, sport silver crosses on them too, and flank the high collar, whose shape is reminiscent of that of a dress. The silver-edged breastplate reveals a fair amount of Erza's cleavage and belly, with plates flanking her hips and reaching down to her very large waistguard, composed of very long, silver-edged plates shaped like feathers and decorated by silver crosses. The waistguard leaves the front of Erza's body exposed, with her groin being covered by a dark indument. The slim gauntlets come equipped with prominent protection for her hands, each sporting silver patterns. The plates guarding her legs are sliver-edged on her thighs and knees, but pitch black dark on her metal greaves.
She extended her wings and launched into the air trying to escape the sandprison. XLR8 gazed up and saw her flying away and the badge shined brightly as another emerald light flashed. XLR8 became a red, humanoid manta ray-like alien with green eyes, black outlines on his face, yellow horns extending from his nose, gills underneath his arms, yellow patagia which he uses to fly and glide, and two black lightning bolt-like stripes coming down from his shoulders to the Omnitrix symbol on his chest, "JETRAY!" The Aerophibian exclaimed as he launched into the air at break neck speeds.
He arrived before Erza could escape he soon blasted her with his neuroblasts hitting her in the chest. He applied more power as she crashed into the ground, Jetray zoomed at Erza before the badge glowed brightly again.
In a emerald flash, Jetray was gone in his place was a hulking, broad-shouldered alien covered in natural, yellow armor plating on his back, shoulders, and the backs of his arms. He is mostly white with black on his upper half and has four claws on both of his hands, having a color scheme and claws similar to that of a panda. His teeth became fuller and human-like, his eyes were green, and he wore the Omnitrix badge on his chest, "CANNONBOLT!" The Arburian Pelarota exclaimed as he soon rolled into a sphere and crashed landed ontop of Erza.
Erza quickly yelled, "REQUIP!" before he landed ontop of her. This set or armor is bulky, darkly colored. The armor on her body consists of two parts. The first part, a lower plate which covers her stomach and most of her chest bears a simple diamonds and stripes pattern engraved into it near the top. On top of that lies another plate which hangs from the neck and goes to her midsection. Extending over this top plate are four round, metallic extensions which attach underneath the plate around the neck. The neck features a large cylindrical plate which is sectioned off into six progressively larger sections. Around each shoulder are very large shoulder guards with four distinct sections with a large spike jutting off to separate each section from the next. The armor features large gauntlets bearing the sectioning pattern of the rest of the armor with the sections becoming smaller as the gauntlets move in towards her hands. Underneath the bottom chest plate is a skirt bearing a woven pattern. The edge of this skirt bears small spikes and a larger spike hangs beneath every other small one, dangling over the leg greaves. The greaves bear the same sectioning pattern as the rest of the armor but are split down the middle with a large piece covering the knee. Several curved spikes jut out from the outward facing sides of the greaves. Atop her head sits a large, spiked headdress.
She brought the shoulder guards together to defend against the Arburian Pelarota's spherical form. This was proving to be tougher than she initially thought, especially since he's changing faster than she could defend against. She wondered how he was doing it, but she remembered Ben said something about the Omnitrix had a time limit and he could only hold his alien forms for ten to fifteen minutes, so all she could is outlast the shape shifter and she'd win. With a new burst of strength she launched the large alien away who hit the ground and came rolling back towards her.
In another emerald flash, Cannonbolt was gone. The Arburian Pelarota has a humanoid robotic appearance. He has a green and white body with large cylinders on his arms near his wrists, that are full of green energy with dark green bubble-like spheres, which constantly move. He has the same energy on his Omnitrix-shaped chest. His head is a pointed, armored helmet. He is also mouthless. He wears the Omnitrix badge on his green and white belt, "ATOMIX!" The Prypiatosian-A exclaimed in a righteous voice, "Erza, it is over. Admit defeat or I'll be forced to unleash the might of Atomix!"
"I'm not giving up, Ben! I have to get stronger!" Erza yelled in her Adamantine Armor.
"Fine, have a taste of my atomic blast!" He yelled as the green cylinders on his arms glowed a violent green and he cocked his hands together as a large blast of nuclear energy shot outwards. Erza used her strongest shield, which has two bladed shields, three on each one. The attack clashed with the metal shield pushing the scarlet haired women back.
Erza gritted her teeth as she felt her feet start losing its grip. Then she heard a cracking noise, and looked at her shield to see it being broken from the amount of power Atomix was generating. Soon her shield was destroyed as Atomix soon relinquished his attack as she laid on her back. In an emerald flash, Ben stood above her with a smile on his face, "Well done, Erza, I wasn't expecting you to try and take that kind of power." He soon helped her onto her feet as the group watching were shocked not that Erza lost, but how fast Ben was changing aliens.
"Thanks, but I wasn't able to beat you." She smirked as she was reverted back to her red bikini. As the group rushed towards the duo.
"The point of training isn't winning or losing, its about gaining experience and learning on how to get stronger so you lost big deal, you'll learn how to overcome all obstacles next time." Ben explained giving Erza advice on the point of this training.
"Ben, how were you changing so fast?!" Levy asked because he was changing even faster than when he fought Natsu.
"Yeah, how'd you do that?!" Lucy asked.
Ben smirked, "Trade secret. Anyway who's next?" He grinned evilly. As the sun had started setting the Fairy Tail members laid in the sand exhausted from training with the alien hero who stretched his limbs, "Today was pretty good, tomorrow I'll push you past your limits." Everyone went wide eyed at this as they had to train like this for the next three months.
As everyone started gathering there stuff, Virgo, one of Lucy's summons appeared, "Princess, we need you to hurry! The Celestial World is in Danger!" Lucy went wide eyed at this and nodded. She quickly alerted her friends who joined her.
"You coming Ben?" Gray asked as Ben shook his head no.
"Nah, you guys go." He smiled as Gray nodded. Lucy, Natsu, Gray, Erza, Wendy, Happy, Carla, Juvia, Levy, Jet, and Droy had journeyed into the Celestial World leaving Ben, Cana, Mira, Elfman, and Lisanna behind, "Welp, I'm going home, I'll see the rest of you tomorrow." They nodded as Ben grabbed his jacket and went home.
After three months, a portal to the beach soon opened up. Natsu and the rest of the guys soon departed the Celestial World they had partied too hard. They were all grinning happily to know the Celestial World was safe and no impending doom was following them.
Ben sat on the large brick wall, since Him, Cana, and The Strauss siblings would always train here. He had dismissed the group early when he had the urge to stay later and he got his answer on why he had to stay he saw a portal open and out came the group of wizards.
"Ha, that was a good party! I'm excited to get to start training again!" Natsu yelled as everyone around him cheered.
"Hey guys." Ben waved, they gazed up at him sitting on the wall, "It's been a while."
"Awhile? We just left yesterday." Gray replied which made Ben chuckle.
"If yesterday is three months ago then sure."
Everyone went wide eyed as they found out that they had been gone for three months, "We've been partying for three months!"
"It felt like hours." Levy said deflated.
"What happened in the three months we've been gone?" Erza asked sternly.
"Nothing much, I've been training and doing missions. It's been pretty quiet with you guys gone. Anyway we can't waste anymore time talking, the Games are less than a week away. So I gotta intensify the training from Hell to Brutally Insane." Once he said that abunch of chills ran down the groups back scaring them till a messenger bird appeared with a note in it beak.
Wendy picks it up and reads it, "It says to meet at the bridge of the West Woods."
"Alright, Team Shadow Gear head back to the guild and let them know you're back. I'll take Team Natsu and Juvia to meet whoever sent this note." Ben commanded as Team Shadow Gear soon left the group to the guildhall while Team Natsu plus Juvia and Ben left to meet whoever left the note.
The group soon departed for the bridge to find it empty. They gazed around not seeing anyone around. They thought it was a possible prank from someone, or worse it was an ambush from some dark mages who wanted revenge on the guild.
"Nobody's here..." Natsu growled out, they gazed around as they arrived at the suspension bridge, "Is this a joke or a possible prank?!"
"I doubt it, if they were pranking you they'd have come out by now." Ben crossed his arms over his chest wondering why they were called here.
"This is lame, we could be training, but here we are standing across an old rickety bridge wasting time." Gray rubbed his head annoyed with this, but everyone soon had there questions answered when the bridge they were standing on started glowing and fixing itsel.
The ropes and broken wood boards soon shot up from the crevice below attaching itself back to the well brand new. They all went eye wide when the old, partially destroyed rickety bridge was back to how it originally was.
"Time Magic?" Ben murmured under his breath, he had read up on it when he living on Tenrou Island, "But who could use such magic, when it's been lost for eons."
"Seriously?" Gray replied as he turned towards Juvia, "You think it's them?" Juvia nodded her head firmly.
"I think this is our invitation." Erza replied as her gaze hardened, "Let's proceed with caution, this could be a trap too."
"I don't know who it could be, but let's go for it."
Everyone nodded as they crossed the bridge and continued on foot for the next five minutes when they saw three cloaked figures standing before them. Ben narrowed his eyes in suspicion, but seeing as they weren't gonna attack them he lowered his guard abit, but still he proceed with caution incase, he'd have to fight their way out. Seeing the cloaked figures not attacking meant they were the ones who sent the message.
"Thank you for coming." The middle cloaked figure spoke. He soon removed his hood to reveal a young man with a cold gaze, blue hair, red tattoo on the right side of his face, "Fairy Tail."
The cloaked figure beside the man soon removed her hood to reveal a young women with pink hair and bright green eyes. Her hair reaches down to the middle of her back, is a quite wavy ponytail, and is accompanied by a dark brown set of earmuffs. Her outfit after consists of a red dress with a golden trim around a deep neckline that exposes a large amount of her now ample cleavage with a short skirt and a belt with a yellow ribbon tied around her waist and black colored stockings and brown boots.
The cloaked figure standing on the other side of the young man soon removed her hood to reveal a young women with pale-skin and with dark purple hair and brown eyes. outfit now consists of little more than a tabard-like garment that exposes her back. The attire is open on both sides of her body except for a small attachment at her waist, and she dons long black boots that leave her upper thighs bare. She has a large blue tattoo on her back which represents Crime Sorcière, which, in itself, is surrounded by a rather large X-shaped scar.
"Jellal.." Erza gasped as she saw her childhood friend standing before her. Everyone went wide eyed at the sudden appearance of Jellal, Ultear, and Meredy.
"Who's Jellal?" Ben asked as Lucy soon explained who he was. She told him, how Jellal was Ezra's childhood friend, who built a large tower called the 'Tower of Heaven' and how he was hellbent on sacrificing Erza to the black mage Zeref, so he could be revived, but not before Natsu had taken him down. Ben narrowed his eyes further now on guard incase this 'Jellal' tried anything.
"You haven't changed at all Erza." Jellal smiled lightly at the scarlet haired women before seeing everyone tense at him, "Relax everyone, I'm not here to harm you. I'm sure you're all aware of my jailbreak?"
"We are." Erza answered as she narrowed her eyes slightly.
"It's not what I planned." He answered when Ultear stepped up.
"Me and Meredy broke him out."
"I didn't even do anything, you did everything Ultear." Meredy grumbled as she noticed Juvia and beamed brightly, "Juvia! It's been awhile how have you been!" The water women smiled at the young women's optimism and hugged her.
"I hate to break up this moment, but we have work to do. You guys have less than five days to get stronger and were wasting time." Ben remarked he wanted to help them, but couldn't since they were wasting time standing around reminiscing. The trio gazed at the shape shifter before Jellal moved infront of him.
Ben and Jellal looked at each other. Everyone else just stared abit afraid about what was about to go down. The tension between the two grew and grew before a smile adorned the blue haired man's face and stuck his hand out for the boy to shake it, "I've heard of you Benjamin Tennyson. I heard after Fairy Tail defeated Grimoire Hearts, Acnologia showed up and was about to destroy the Island till you showed up, turned into a large monster and clashed with him, taking his arm as a trophy."
"It's just Ben and I did it to protect my friends." Ben shook his hand, "But I was serious, we need to get going, I have to train them till they drop dead."
"I think we can help with that." Jellal replied.
"Yeah, we have an offer for you. We wanted to see you three months ago, but you all disappeared. I know you guys are short on time, but we can change that. With my new improved time arc, I can raise all of your abilities." Ultear explained which made everyone confused, but Ben who knew what she was talking about.
"Time Magic, you're talking about second origins, aren't you?" Ben answered as Ultear, Jellal, and Meredy went wide eyed at how he guessed it.
"I am, how did you know that?" Ultear questioned the boy.
"I read up on it when I was living on Tenrou Island, Mavis has alot of books on different forms of magic and I read on what you're talking about." Ben explained when he noticed his friends gazing at him in confusion till he spoke again, "It has been discovered that Mages have a second "Container" for their Magic power that is largely unused called the Second Origin. Using the Arc of Time it is possible to unlock the said Magic Container, granting the Mage in question a large boost in Magic Power."
"Uh ye-yeah exactly. I can unlock your second origin and it'll soon grant you a massive power boost which should help you in the games." Ultear replied abit shocked, but soon recovered, "How about it?"
Ben placed a hand under his chin, 'If they unlocked there second origins, his friends would have a better chance at winning the games and it'll give them the boost to actually not die from his training.' He smirked as Natsu exclaimed happily.
"SERIOUSLY!" He cheered happily as did everyone around him.
"We'll do it, but I condition." Ben answered as Ultear nodded. He walked over to her and whispered something in her ear making everyone gaze in confusion at his sudden request.
Hearing his condition, she smiled and gazed at him, "It shall be done." She then gazed to the Fairy Tail wizards, "Let's unlock you're second origins."
Once a year, the Grand Magic Games came around for mages to be compete in. The capital of Fiore, the flower blooming capital of Crocus was bustling with citizens as well as mages of Fiore coming from all over the world in order to participate in this grand event. In the center was the Kings Palace Mercurius, an extremely large and tall building, appearing as one of the most visible elements in the valley where Crocus is located, and towering over all the city's other buildings.

As evident of its role as the King's residence, Mercurius is a very intricately decorated and designed castle. The place appears to consist a number of different, yet uniform buildings fused together, with some sections protruding outwards and assuming particular forms, and the walls being mainly adorned by orders of large, rectangular windows lined up and flanked by protruding pillars. Its main entrance seems to be a mildly small door topped by a very high decorative arc, which gets pointed near its top, and has its central part adorned by a large, round flower window.
To its left is a section keeping its height, topped by another going up high, which possesses a pitched roof, and behind which appears to be a structure reminiscent of ancient Greek and Roman temples, being highly similar to the real, Parthenon, near which, to its upper right, sits a part ending in a small dome, topped by a prominent spire; two towers, possessing approximately the same height as the spire, are located on the back and right parts of the building. To the entrance's right, several meters away from it, the building takes on an arched form, with such part being reminiscent of a cylinder partially fused with the structure, soared above by a mildly small spire, almost placed in the back part of the building. Topping the entire castle is a high, round tower, with its lower part, much more massive than the one above it, being adorned by elongated windows and ending in a dome, from which the thinner, top part appears and goes up several meters before ending in a pointed tiled roof.
Mercurius is surrounded by a lush garden, which, much like the rest of the city, is adorned by a large amount of flowers, possessing flowerbeds and, in addition, artistically arranged plants and small, tidy hedges, which have square, hollow spaces on their edges, housing ornately decorated streetlamps, with wavy poles ending in large orbs, with circular objects surrounding them, seemingly floating. The streets there are adorned by mosaics, which consist of a variety of small, flat rectangular stones arranged to resemble semicircles. In front of the palace sits a fountain, surrounded by a ground-level, round and shallow pool; water jets jut upwards from both the fountain and the pool, with the former also housing some plants, or possibly statues of plants, on its base.
Over in the western Mountains of the flowering blooming capital Crocus was Domus Flau. It is surrounded by mountains and trees. City buildings, including residential houses, can also be found near the Domus Flau.
The Domus Flau appears to be a large, round, open battle arena that looks similar to a Roman arena structure, and has no cover on the top. It has numerous arches in its walls, and a large entrance. The Domus Flau also has four gigantic statues, each holding a staff with a big circle on top, which look like Roman warriors that face inwards, surrounding the Domus Flau. Four gigantic chains can also be seen around the Domus Flau; each starting from a circular metal support in the ground around the Domus Flau, connecting to circles behind the statues, and reaching down another circular metal support in the ground.
The interior design of the Domus Flau also similarly looks like a Roman arena. The arena, located at the center of the Domus Flau, is large enough to contain a town. There are three stages of the audiences' seats that are in circular form. The seats also have dividers with three arches in each, and four bigger dividers connected with the staves of the statues. Numerous arches can also be seen inside the Domus Flau which are just above the highest stage of the audiences' seats, and are connected with the arches outside. There are also hallways and rooms in the highest layer of the Domus Flau.
During the three months, Team Natsu and Shadow Gear had been gone. Romeo had showed Ben, Cana, and the Strauss siblings the arena in which they would be competing inside and Ben had to hand it to whoever designed such a magnificent building. It reminded him of the Roman Coliseum back home that Gwen demanded they'd see since they were in Rome for a few days chasing the Forever Knights. He had smiled at that memory and gazed at the large Coliseum with amusement, he'll show the other guilds what he was really made of.
"Well, well, well, look what we got here. A bunch of tiny fairies waiting to be devoured." A cocky voice interrupted the group. The Fairy Tail mages turned around to see two men with two cats flying behind them standing behind them. One was smirking in amusement while the other remained stoic.
"Who are you guys?" Cana asked abit annoyed at how cocky, the man was acting towards them.
He grinned ecstatically, "My apologies, it seems you can't tell who the strongest guild is after being gone for seven years." He gloated as Elfman glared at the blonde haired man.
"What'd you say punk?! Why not say it to my face?!" He yelled as Ben threw his hand infront of the tanned muscular man, he gazed down at the shape shifter in confusion, "Ben?"
"Oh, I see, this is the Legendary Ben Tennyson, apparently the strongest in Fairy Tail, am I right?" His grin soon grew, "It seems someone in Fairy Tail has some brains."
"It seems you know who I am, but I don't know who you are." Ben replied calmly, this man was tryna get under his skin. He's faced multiple enemies who've tried there best to get into his head, but this guy was just wasting his time.
"Those guys are the Twin Dragons of Sabertooth. Sting Eucliffe and Rogue Cheney. There both dragon slayers and because Natsu and the others have been gone for seven years, these two took the top spot for being the strongest dragon slayers." Romeo explained who the men were as Ben raised an eyebrow.
'These two are dragon slayers? Interesting.' Ben thought as he gazed at them.
Sting dons a blue vest with golden outer edges and inner edges covered by a prominent trimming of gray fur that appears similar to a feather boa over a short, cream top, leaving his muscular upper abdominals exposed. His arms are covered by dark blue gloves reaching up to his mid-bicep, with their upper edges being adorned by light gray bands hanging down several centimeters. He wears loose, cream-colored pants, similar to Natsu's, but held up by suspenders, which attach to the pant loops by square-shaped rings that are gold in color. Over them, he dons distinctive dark blue galosh-Esque footwear that reaches up to his thighs and attach to the upper edge of his pants. The prominent soles of the "boots" are distinctive in their own right; it has rectangular protrusions pointing upwards on their front portion, reminiscent of square fangs. His white Sabertooth mark is located on his left shoulder.
He then gazed over to the silent partner who seemed to be assessing the situation.
Rogue is a slim young man of average height with rather messy black hair, which almost reaches down to his shoulders, along with some strands pointing upwards on top of his head and a prominent tuft obscuring most of his forehead. His hair is later brushed to the right side of his face covering up his right eye. He has red eyes with slit pupils similar to that of a snake's, like Gajeel Redfox's eyes. Rogue wears a long, black cape reaching down to his feet, with golden edges, a much lighter collar circling his neck, and a prominent, white ribbon hanging down on his chest. Such cape bears a light Sabertooth's symbol on it, almost in correspondence to Rogue's left shoulder. Below it, Rogue seems to wear a plain gray shirt with prominent brown cuffs and what looks like a large metal band circling each of his biceps. From a light sash circling his waist hangs a distinctive, pale blue cloth waistguard, consisting of four long pieces of cloth reaching down below his knees. Each of these pieces is adorned by a large, dark cross with fan-shaped arms. Below such waistguard, Rogue wears a pair of armored boots, which, on the front, bear plates bearing the very same motif which appears on the waistguard.
He then gazed down towards the two cats. The first one is small, long-tailed, green anthropomorphic cat that can stand on its hind legs. He has large, round eyes, each complete with a pair of prominent eyelashes, and rosy cheeks. The entirety of small cat's body, aside from its face, is covered by a pink frog-like suit, of which the vast majority is covered by black spots. The suit sports a plain belly, webbed hands, and a hood which forms the frog's head, complete with two beady eyes resting on the hood, 'Why the hell is the cat dressed like a frog?' He thought then gazed over to the other cat.
Being an Exceed, the other one's appearance is that of a small, mildly anthropomorphous cat standing on his rear legs, with his two front legs acting as hands of sort. His fur seems to be dark brown in color, with most of his body being red, but his face, belly, paws and the end of his long tail being pink. He has large, pointed ears, and prominent tufts of dark fur jutting outwards in correspondence to his cheekbones, where his whiskers are. The red cat was sporting just a blue, sleeveless button-up vest which is left open, and has three dark round buttons on its right side.
"If you're thinking of competing in the Games, it'd be best to just drop out." Rogue replied in an emotionless voice which anger Ben, but he didn't let it show.
"Oh? What is that supposed to mean?" Ben replied sarcastically which neither picked up on when Sting smirked.
"He means don't even think on competing, you pesky fairies have no chance in winning. You were considered the strongest guild seven years ago, there's a new Era and it ends with Saber devouring you fairies once and for all. So drop out, roll over, and play dead. You're reign over Magnolia is dead." He boasted going on and on about Fairy Tails title of strongest guild was over.
Ben scoffed and turned his back on them, "Listen here Saber, next time we meet it'll be in the games and it won't be as Allies." The Fairy Tail group soon departed leaving behind the Twin Dragons. Sting was abit annoyed at how calmly he had handled them. Rogue was also annoyed and abit curious on what the boy could do.
Ben soon shook his head from his encounter with the Twin Dragons of Sabertooth. The Games were starting tonight and he had finished training with his friends who seemed to twice as strong then they were a week ago.
Natsu groaned in pain as he stretched his body, "This week has been brutal, I hope we'll have enough strength to compete with the other guilds."
"We should, I do feel stronger than I was a week ago." Gray acknowledged as Lucy quickly agreed with him.
"Me too, I feel like my magic power has increased." She opened and closed her hands smiling at herself.
"You guys have done amazing." Ben smiled which made them smile, but they weren't any closer to beating him.
"But we're not any closer to beating you." Natsu groaned annoyed he wanted more power in order to beat Ben.
"Natsu, you're my friend and I feel bad for saying this, but you can train for a million years and you'll still never be anywhere close to beating me." Ben replied as Natsu's mood soured, Ben then gazed over at Erza who looked better than the group, "Erza, you seem to be a bit unfazed." Which she responded with a shrug.
"Probably because she already had her second origin unlocked." Gray replied, "Maybe you unlocked your third origin, you seemed to be able to take most of Ben's attacks like they were nothing."
"Because Ben wasn't trying to hurt me, he could have added more power if he wanted to. He was holding a lot more power back incase he killed one of us." Erza answered which made them go eye wide.
Ben shrugged it off, "Alright, let's head back to the hotel, the first event starts in a few hours and we're gonna need all the energy for it." They nodded firmly as he sighed. He still hasn't told anyone that he had unlocked Master Control or the Evolution Function.
Ever since he announced he was participating in the Games, he took it upon himself to read every single rule incase there was a problem. He knew about the second Fairy Tail team that formed and was also participating in the games. He had visited Mavis and told her about the Games, which she guaranteed she'd come and cheer them on. He also told her about Master Control and the Evolution Function, which made her squeal in excitement. Ben had also told her about the past few months being in her guild which she replied with a swift, 'I told you so.' which made him roll his eyes. As he departed Tenrou Island she advised him to win. He gave her a smirk and nodded. Ben smiled at the recent memory as he also left with his friends.
After a few hours of rest, the guys heard a knock at there door. Natsu was at the door and opened it to reveal Lucy and Erza. He opened it wider allowing the girls inside. Erza saw Gray sitting on his bed with Ben lying in his with his arms wrapped around his head.
"It's almost time." Erza announced as they nodded firmly.
"Don't worry we'll win no matter what!" Natsu erupted as they cheered with him.
Ben was laying in his bed going through multiple theories and scenarios in his head incase things went south, especially with Saber baring there fangs at them. He had to make a few contingencies for everything. He soon thought about the rules and chuckled inwardly. First, Guild Masters weren't allowed to compete in the games, this rule didn't apply to our alien hero since he wasn't a guild Master. Second, if you didn't have an insignia of you're respective guild, you couldn't compete, Ben wasn't too bothered by this rule since he has the emblem on his right arm. And third, was that every event was to stay a secret till they begin. He then turned his attention towards the giant clock tower outside his window and read it, '11:55 pm' He then turned his gaze back to the roof and closed his eyes, "Almost time." He whispered under his breath.
"You think we'll be able to win?" Lucy asked a bit afraid which made Natsu grin.
"Of course we'll win, because we have a secret weapon." Natsu then pointed towards the bed where the brunette was laying casually, "With Ben and his arsenal we'll be unbeatable!" He yelled.
"I hate to say it, but flame brains right. With Ben we'll be able to take first place away from Saber." Gray replied as Erza smiled and nodded. They talked for a few more minutes when the clock tower finally struck twelve. Ben opened his eyes as he and the rest of his team stood ready.
"Showtime." Ben smirked.
