Cabin Part 10

The once fully packed room of boxes now only held a few measly piles, a few yet-to-be-broken-down boxes, and a handful of boxes that had been repacked as the items inside had no place to be re-homed. Drakken was amused at how much his motivation to get rid of his cousin had turned a two-day remaining project, into a handful of hours. As he tossed a now emptied box into the cardboard pile he turned around to talk to said cousin, only to find himself alone in the room.

"Just leave me to finish the mess then," scoffed Drakken as he glanced into the hallway.

There was a vague memory of Ed speaking to him, but he'd been too focused on the box filled with small porcelain thimbles. Now all that caught his ear was the distant sound of fire crackle, but otherwise, there was silence. No voices were muffled through walls, nor sound of any movement in the cabin.

"Now what?" grumbled Drakken as he took a step out of the well-lit room into the darker hallway.

He'd only taken a few steps when he felt hands grab his sides. The scream he let out was more than a little shrill as his efforts to turn around made him hit his elbow on the door frame. The sharp pain caused his eyes to water as he swung around. Shego's sigh hit his ears before he even took in her exasperated eye roll as looked at her.

"You okay there, Doc?" asked Shego as she crossed her arms, "Didn't know you could hit that octave."

Drakken glared.

"Why, do you insist on doing that?" said Drakken as he rubbed his elbow, "It's creepy."

Shego pursed her lips and narrowed her eyes.

"I was trying to be flirty," hissed Shego, "Excuse me. I'll take my, creepy self, back to the living area then."

Drakken stopped rubbing his elbow and watched as Shego began to walk passed him.

Say something!

"Well, I didn't expect to be grabbed in a dark hallway," he sounded more annoyed than he knew he should. He cleared his throat as Shego paused and raised a brow at him, "I simply meant its strangely silent- bad timing."

"Is that an apology?" asked Shego.

Drakken gave a slight shrug which earned him yet another eye roll, but she didn't resume walking away.

"Why is it so quiet?" continued Drakken. Shego took a deep breath and he knew she was simply accepting his change of topic.

"Motor Ed's outside tinkering around with something and Cleopatra's either sleeping on the couch or really good at pretending it," said Shego. She moved towards him and uncrossed one arm to wave his hand off his elbow, "Figured it was a good time to enjoy the lack of company."

Drakken smirked as Shego's hand caressed his elbow. It fell swiftly away as she pinched his arm.

"Ow!" whined Drakken.

"But then I was informed how creepy I apparently am," snapped Shego as she withdrew her hand and continued walking down the hallway.

"That was childish and uncalled for," Drakken continued to whine as he walked after her and into the living room.

"Whose creepy?" came the voice of Cleopatra from where she lay on the couch with her eyes closed.

"You're unhealthy obsession with cursed items," was Shego's quick response.

Cleopatra opened her eyes with a scandalized expression on her face.

"I'll have you know-"

The front door burst open to the loud snow-kicking stomps of Ed.

"Alright babe, looks like we're in the clear," boomed Ed from the door as he looked toward Cleopatra.

"Oh, thank Renenutet, " Cleopatra groaned in relief as she shot up from the couch, "I'll grab the bags."

Whatever argument or fight that had been about to take place, vanished as Cleopatra practically ran down the hall. Drakken looked at Ed who had left a wet trail to the fire to warm up.

"You're leaving?" asked Drakken with surprise.

"Seriously, Drew?" Ed glared at him, "Did you not hear a single word I said in the storage room, Seriously?"

"Do I ever," said Drakken.

Do you want him to stay!?

"I mean, no... I was thinking about... science stuff," said Drakken swiftly, "I'm so sorry you're leaving so soon."

Ed gave a deep snort and then smirked.

"You're a terrible liar," said Ed, "Seriously, I wouldn't buy it if you were... especially after what echoed in the cabin last night, seriously Cuz, didn't know you had it in you-"

"Eddie!" snapped Drakken. He looked towards Shego, only to find the space around him empty, "You're right- Leave."

"Mellow out, Cuz," snickered Ed, "We planned on leaving last night, but the storm was too heavy, lucky good old mother nature gave us a serious leg up with blowing most the snow off the roads."

Drakken's glare remained as he glanced out the open door to the running massive truck.

"So how many things did you swipe?" asked Drakken as he began walking towards the door.

"Babe, we need to go!" yelled Ed as he began moving to block the door, "It's not theft, I mean seriously Drew, we both equally own this place."

"Emphasis on the equal. Which means it's mine, too," Drakken's path was blocked by Ed placing his hand on either side of the door-frame.

"Technically it's only a third, seriously," stated Ed, "It was left to you, Em, and I."

"Even if that were the case, you know I was the favorite," smirked Drakken, "So it's 75% mine, and 25% to each of you."

Ed opened his mouth to argue but simply raised a brow. Drakken rethought his wording and sputtered out a quick response.

"Er, you know what I mean," he snapped.

The two held each other's glare only for Ed to break with a slight smile.

"If you want to go through what I have and what Green has hidden away for you, we can seriously spend the next few days arguing about it," stated Ed calmly, "Or..."

Drakken raised a brow.

"My babe and I can bail right now... with a generator I re-repaired... and spend some alone time with Green," said Ed, "I mean, seriously, do you really want to have us here... giving you absolutely no space... personal time... or sleep."

Drakken knew it was less of an ultimatum and more of a clear threat. He knew more than anyone, just how invasive and annoying his cousin could be... and it was even worse when Ed intended to vex him out of pure spite. There was an itch of nerves running through him as he wanted nothing more than to continue the argument and raid the truck, but it was a war he knew he would not win if he started.

"Safe travels, Eddie," Drakken gave a forced smile.

Ed's posture relaxed and he gave a broad grin as he slapped Drakken's shoulder.

"Thanks, Cuz, seriously," said Ed.

Any false pleasantries or tempted arguing was ended at the sound of Cleopatra re-entering the living room, dragging the luggage at a quick pace. Her earnest need to leave almost made Drakken want to gamble his cousin's threat.

Yes, because Eddie actively annoying you and an angry woman with access to horribly dangerous items is a smart idea.

The memory of the strange clay creature from Duff leaving a simple item in the hovercar that he'd stolen from the very woman attempting to leave... was enough of a reminder not to push his luck.

"It was a fairly nice week," stated Cleopatra as he gave the luggage to Ed and forced a hasty smile towards Drakken, "Give my best to Shego."

Drakken looked at Ed as Cleopatra swiftly exited down the stairs.

"I dare you to tell her you aren't leaving," smirked Drakken.

He watched Ed's eyes narrow again. A moment of silence sat between them before Ed spoke.

"I will send you a list of what I took and we will talk about it later, seriously," said Ed.

"Deal," said Drakken as he began to close the door, "Do not come back this time."

"No intentions," called Ed as he began walking to exit the porch.

Before he even reached the steps, Drakken closed the door and for extra measure used an armchair to wedge under the handle.

"Really should fix that door before we leave," Drakken muttered to himself.

The sound of the swinging hinge of the kitchen door behind him.

"What are you doing?"

Drakken spun around to see Shego holding a mug of something hot.

"Eddie and Cleopatra left," said Drakken as he shifted the door, "Was there a better solution for this door?"

"Last solution was broken by Motor Ed and company- what do you mean they left?" asked Shego as she put her mug down on an end table.

"They are, presumably, headed back to their own abodes and leaving us alone," responded Drakken as he shoved an end table against the door, "But until I no longer hear a truck, I am taking countermeasures."

He paused to listen to the fading sound of the engine.

"Sounds like we might be in the clear," Drakken gave a sigh of relief as he turned towards Shego, "Finally... no more Eddie-"

"Yeah-Yeah, glad he's gone," Shego waved her one hand in a dismissive gesture as she grabbed hold of Drakken's hand with the other and began pulling him away from the door.

"Shego?" asked Drakken as they reached the hall, "What-"

Shego stopped and gave him a blank stare as her free hand gestured down the hall toward their room.

He was more than a little disappointed in himself it took a few seconds for the situation to fully register what her intent was...

"Oh..." he walked cautiously towards her, "I thought you were upset with me?"

Shego crossed her arms as he neared her.

"Do you... want me to be?" she asked. A hint of annoyance returned to her voice.

"No," muttered Drakken as he looked at her closely. His mind turned in thought for his next action.

"Good... Please tell me I don't have to spell this out to you- Drakken!" her frantic yell made him wonder if he'd overstepped his bounds as he picked her up over his shoulder. He froze. "What are you doing?"

"Ohm... sweeping you off your feet?" he muttered. There was a silent pause.

"Did I say stop?" the was an air of amusement in her voice.

Drakken smirked and resumed his haste to reach their destination.

The original plan to spend the day secluded to their bedroom had mostly gone without interruption for a good part of the afternoon. As relaxing as spending the day lazing about the room in a strange sense of content that seemed to be surrounding them both, Drakken's brain couldn't relax for long. When he'd slowly grabbed the notebook Shego had given him, he'd half expected the mood to shift. She had been wrapped up in skimming the book of his grandmother's tales, and he hadn't been sure if she'd only been humoring him... that was until he'd managed to get two pages sketched out of the stabilizer plan for his invention at home... and she finally spoke.

"Were these that detailed when you were- what are you doing?" asked Shego as her head pulled from his shoulder.

Drakken hummed in thought, not fully hearing her.

"Are you working?" her voice finally caught his full attention.

He paused his writing and looked at her from the corner of his eyes.

"... No?" he said in question.

The snort of laughter she gave made him relax.

"Surprised you held out this long," she teased as she moved to get out of the bed.

"I don't want you to go," he hastened. A wave of panic rose in him as he tossed his notebook aside.

"Well, too bad," snickered Shego, "I've been sitting here reading hoping you'd get the hint and go make some food, but that clearly didn't work."

Drakken frowned slightly, the panic going back down.

"You could have just said you were hungry," he stated.

"And you could have gotten the hint," shrugged Shego as she tied the waist of her robe, "Now I have to take the initiative."

Drakken nodded and gave her a cheeky grin.

"You do hate doing that," said Drakken.

"I'm sorry, who suggested we come in here again?" smirked Shego as she opened the door, "I think I was the one to take the initiative."

"Two in one day out of 1,860 days... not bad," smirked Drakken.

Shego paused in the doorway.

"Have you... is that the actual number of days we've known each other?" asked Shego with wide eyes.

Drakken's face reddened.

"Err... give or take five," he muttered.

Shego backed out of the room without saying another word.

"I said give or take five days!" yelled Drakken, "I have not kept track... it's a rough estimate- Nighn."

Drakken muttered to himself as he pushed aside his mild embarrassment and return to his work. However, his mind had shifted from it's original focus to the now empty room. After a moment, he wondered if Shego was even going to come back in here... or what snarky remark she may come up with if she did. It swirled back to the math behind the the calibration he needed for the stabilizer his cousin was supposedly going to work on. The idea of having to share any credit with his cousin left a bitter taste in his mouth. He shoved the notebook back on the end table, attempting to recover his previous good mood. It proved harder to retrieve with the absence of the previously undressed women he'd been in bed with moments prior.

He closed his eyes and tried to control his thoughts, it shifted from his work, to his desire to relax, the book left open next to him, and then flashes of the last twenty-four hours. He was starting to regain his good mood replaying a few select hours in his head. Perhaps his mood was getting a little too elated on those images, but the scenes were interrupted by the return of Shego's voice in the room.

"1,761 days," stated Shego as she stood in the doorway.

Drakken sat up abruptly to look at her.

"What?" he asked. Her smug expression made his brow furrow at the number, "My math is not that far off!"

"No, but that's how long it took you to make a move," said Shego smugly as she closed the door behind her.

Drakken's brow rose.

"Give or take one day," snorted Shego as she slid back into the bed and shoved a plate in his hand.

Drakken looked from her to the sandwich and then smirked as he went to take a bite.

"I thought it took you a while to make this, how many times you have to count- Pfft!" the sandwich was shoved into his mouth.

"Shut up and eat," scoffed Shego, "It took me longer than I'm sure it took you. And better accuracy."

Drakken mocked her as he ate his food. There was a moment of silence before Shego continued.

"It took you that long to realize you loved me?" asked Shego.

Drakken swallowed quickly and looked at her.

She was leaning on her elbow and looking at him in thought. They hadn't exactly spoken about their affirmations since the night before... so the statement and her unwavering stare took him aback. He slowly put down his sandwich to rest on his notebook.

"No," he said slowly, "Just to know you felt... the same. I've... it's been more days than I can calculate."

The soft smile on her lips was still an image that took him off guard even if it was a more common expression she'd gained.

"You?" he asked casually. Her smile deepened and she looked at the blankets.

"Depends... if you're asking when I realized it or when it started?" she asked calmly, she sat up, "Had I known you were just waiting in a paranoid limbo of how I felt... I would have said it sooner."

Drakken blinked.

"You- really?" asked Drakken.

"Maybe," she smirked.

"Maybe?" he asked.

"I just figured even if you or I ever did say it... aloud," stated Shego, "It would be after a poorly timed proposal or something... like a long-winded speech."

Her words pulled Drakken's attention, but as she continued talking, it had shifted again. His eyes glanced over the bedroom, mentally calculating where he'd packed the ring. His speech that he'd been attempting to rehearse for days came pouring back as he remembered where he'd hidden the ring.

"The hovercar," he said out loud.

"Not that I- What?" asked Shego in confusion.

"What?" Drakken forced a cough realizing his error, "I mean... I just... Did you hide the books in the hovercar?"

Shego raised a brow at him before rolling her eyes in clear annoyance.

"Yes, I did," she scoffed, "Nice. So while we are having an intimate conversation... you're worried about junk."

"I was not," he hastened, "I mean... now I am but I was- That was not- I meant- Shego about what you said-"

His attempt at recovering in any way was silenced by a loud grinding noise and the lights going out.

"Looks like Motor Ed's patch didn't last," stated Shego. He felt her pull away from his grasp.

"Where are you going?" asked Drakken as he held his grasp around her waist.

"To start a fire," was a slightly amused-sounding response.

"Oh," Drakken's grasp didn't loosen, "Do you have to leave the bed?"

He felt his grip lessen as Shego made no comment to his request. Her hand tugged at his arm and he let her go reluctantly. There was a shift on the bed, but it was not from Shego exiting the bed. The green glow of her hand cast the light around them as she aimed towards the fireplace. For a moment the green remained before the golden hue took over. The smug smirk on her lips as the light changed in the room, made Drakken hope the annoying energy she'd held prior to the power out... was gone.

"So, now that I stayed in the bed... was there a reason?" she hummed as she slid back towards him.

His eyes lingered only for a second on the way the flickering flame highlighted the woman growing closer to him. It took more self-restraint then he thought he'd had just to not blurt out the speech still banging around his brain. Luckily, the thoughts were forcibly removed as in the blink of an eye, she pounced. Pinning him to the bed.

"I mean, I know I have mine," she said coyly, "If you need some ideas."

"Oh," smirked Drakken, "I have plenty of ideas... but I'd entertain one of yours."

"Good, because I'd like to admire my view for a bit now," she snickered as her lips found his.

He had no complaints or thoughts other than the remaining evening hours inside their bedroom.

The cold chill that woke Shego was more than a little unwelcome. Her arms searched in the darkness for the body that should have been next to her... only to feel nothing but blankets and mattress. Her eyes shot open and she sat open to look across the dark room. The fire appeared to be dwindling and no wood lay in the previous pile. It took a few blinks for her eyes to adjust to the dim light but she could see the half-eaten sandwich still on the nightstand with the notebook so Drakken wasn't off writing.

The sound of movement coming from elsewhere in the cabin was an indicator he'd either gone to get more wood or to tinker with the generator. Shifting the blankets off her, she noticed a few more blankets had been added to their bed since she'd originally drifted off. It was almost immediate regret as the frigid air hit her like a brick wall. Quickly she grabbed any clothes within range to try and gain warmth before fully getting out of the semi-warmth the bed provided.

It was a pathetic attempt, but it was enough layers she'd gained to begin venturing to locate Drakken. It wasn't too hard to navigate in the darkness, enough pins of light around her made it easier than it was for most. She saw the light from the emergency lights coming from under the storage room and opened the door to let more light into the hallway. It was bad timing by the shocked yell that even took her off guard, mainly because of the wood clattering to the ground.

"Why?" yelled Drakken, who stood in the hallway right in front of her.

She fought the snicker that was bubbling up at his wide-eyed expression as he struggled to regain holding the firewood he'd dropped.

"Relax there Drew, I was opening a door," she sighed, "Might as well get some light around here."

"A likely story," stated Drakken. He was still pouting and she noticed the snow on his shoulders.

"I take it we ran out of wood?" asked Shego.

"The temperature dropped and I used the last of it an hour ago," grumbled Drakken, clearly annoyed she'd moved the subject along.

"No luck with the generator?" asked Shego as she grabbed a few of the wood pieces from his arms.

"I... I didn't really take a look," he said quietly.

"It can wait till morning," said Shego, though she debated on encouraging fixing it earlier, "I don't want to stand around keeping light while you tinker away."

"Speaking of light... I dropped a few in the living room if you..." he trailed off. Shego rolled her eyes and moved passed him.

It only took her a few seconds to locate the few he'd dropped when she'd made her way to the living room. Eagerly she moved quickly back the bedroom and paused outside the storage room. She hadn't noticed at first but there was more warmth in the room than the entire cabin. Her eyes darted around the room to the lights above, wondering if they were heat bulbs of some kind in the emergency lights. Her eyes fell on the trunk against the wall and remembered there had been more blankets in there. After weighing the odds of old possibly musty blankets and maintaining warmth until the fire picked up... she chose the layers.

"I can just tell Drakken to make Flower cover the smell," muttered Shego as she put the few pieces of wood on top of the trunk and moved to pick up the whole thing.

It was harder to tug away from the wall than she thought it should have been but she managed to take three steps with the trunk in hands before her eyes focused on something else. She paused her steps and instead looked at where she'd pulled the trunk from in confusion. The wall was lined with empty boxes and random small things they'd shoved aside, but now with the trunk moved and no lights save the ones above... there was something else she hadn't noticed.

Light?

Placing the trunk back down, Shego knelt down near the wall and looked at the baseboard. She couldn't tell if the light was simply reflecting through the top of the board from above or if there was actually a light coming from under the wall. Not thinking about it, she shot a blast to the light above. The sound of the electrical surge and the glass shattering made her regret her actions for a second or two before she got her answer.

There was light coming from under the wall... and heat.

Shego sat up and looked at the wall and sat back on her knees, trying to find edges apart from the baseboard. There was none she could find, and more confusing to her was the casual acceptance she had at the idea of a hidden doorway in a mountain cabin.

Given the history.

Shego rolled her eyes at the idea she hadn't thought there might have been something hidden here already. Drakken had mentioned traps that had been deactivated... clearly the cabin had been more than just a family escape at one point... and yet she hadn't even pondered any secret rooms like she was learning to be the normal activity of Company members. The broken down boarded up office in the Grecian Manor, the hidden lab behind Botox's lake house... not assuming one was here was almost pathetic.

"What happened to the light?" came Drakken's voice from the doorway.

"I needed to find the other one," said Shego as she pointed to the wall, "Did you know about a secret room already or... is this news to you?"

"Secret- What?" asked Drakken. His eyes looked at the wall, "Is that light?"

"And heat," said Shego as she got up and began feeling around the wall, "Now, how do we get in."

"Maybe it's just a light," said Drakken. Shego was about to argue, but she watched him follow her lead and begin checking.

"I'm pretty sure it's a Company thing to just... hide a random room somewhere," said Shego as she picked at some wood, "Drakken-"

"I would prefer you not blow up a wall," Drakken said quickly as if reading her mind. She watched his searching slow, "There's probably nothing in it if it is a room... I am certain my uncle took care of all that decades ago."

Shego's hands fell away from the wall.

"Suppose you're right," shrugged Shego.

It wouldn't have made sense to hide anything away if it had been dissolved. There was no need to argue the point as she recalled a conversation about his uncle even having the rings of the Leviathan's melted down after...

Shego's eyes darted to try and read Drakken's features, but there was nothing to read in them as they left the room. Choosing to leave the door open since there was was heat from it. Shego doubled back to grab the chest and return to their room. Her curiosity was still peaked, but given Drakken would not be in favor of blasting a wall down for nothing, she focused on getting more warmth. The fire was starting to radiate more as Drakken closed the door behind her, and as she opened the trunk... it was a relief there was no musty smell as more blankets were tossed onto the bed. With a slight sigh as she eagerly returned to bed, she was about to shift the conversation away from the light under the wall.

"At least-" Shego was cut off.

"It was probably filled with those boxes," said Drakken. Shego raised a brow as he stood looking at the wall behind the wardrobe.

"The... probably," said Shego, "I mean if there was no traps, why bother disabling anything in there-"

"I mean... this was my grandmother's cabin after all... why would anything be here... my grandfather's old stuff perhaps," Drakken waved his hand in dismissal as he went to walk around the bed to his side.

"The emergency lights probably just extend in there,"Shego added.

Her eyes darted over Drakken, and she could see the way his fingers tapped at his side... the shifting of his feet as he slowed his stance. More telling was the shifting of his eyes toward the wall.

"You know I can just..." Shego trailed off as she ignited her hand, "Open it."

"Curiosity is not worth having to shell out for repairs," grumbled Drakken as he sat on the bed.

"You sure?" asked Shego, gesturing to her hand again.

"... yes," Shego noted the hesitation and raised her brow, "Yes... it's not worth it."

"Okay," shrugged Shego as Drakken slid into bed and under the covers.

Cuddling up to him... she waited. Mentally she began counting the seconds and the way he kept shifting. She began thinking about a method to take down the wall less... destructively, with each twitch of Drakken's frame. Then... it stopped. He wasn't shifting or moving and she heard him let off a soft sigh. She fought the grumble of disappointment on her lips and simply let herself nestle closer to him... trying not to figure out a way to 'accidentally' open up a wall.

"Night," she yawned.

She closed her eyes and was actually starting to drift off when Drakken shot up, causing her to nearly be shoved off the bed in his abrupt movements.

"Hey!" snapped Shego as Drakken crawled across her to slide off the bed, "Hello?"

Drakken didn't say anything, only muttered under his breath as he yanked open her nightstand and began digging around in the dark.

"I can't see," he stated. Shego sat up and looked at his crouched over the drawer, "Shego."

His tone swirled between demanding and pleading and Shego gave a sigh of annoyance as she lit her hand for him. A few more seconds of digging and her held one of the keys from atop the wardrobe and moved quickly to yank it open. Shego threw back the blankets and slid out of the bed to join him at the wardrobe. She opened her mouth to question what he was doing as he began yanking out the boxes that she and Cleopatra had stacked inside... until she realized what he was doing. Shego moved to the back of the wardrobe and she held the light to it, noticing there was no seam that separated the wooden frame from the wall, only well-laid trim.

"Why are there so many boxes?" asked Drakken as she heard him yelp as some fell on him.

"Apparently collecting useless wardrobe items is a family trait," said Shego as she walked back around the wardrobe to see the mess Drakken had created, "You know we organized these for hours."

"I don't collect useless wardrobe items," Drakken paused his mess making to argue.

"There are more clothes in your closet than mine, most of which have never seen the light of day... and let's not start about the medieval weaponry collection," stated Shego, "Or the armor and chain mail-"

"Okay, I get it," snapped Drakken, "Just... Just help me empty this thing."

Shego sighed and moved her hand behind the boxes and shoved the majority of them out in one swift movement. Drakken crossed his arm in annoyance as most of them tumbled over and around him. She smirked in amusement as she finished shoving more out and over his lap.

"Having fun?" asked Drakken before shoving the boxes off him.

"I was hoping that one would comically fall out and on your head... but yes... I am," she smirked as Drakken began shoving aside the clothes hanging and feeling against the back of the wardrobe.

"What makes you think this is a door?" asked Shego as she leaned against its frame. Ignoring the fact that it made perfect sense given its structure and location.

"Because it makes perfect structural sense... and the location of that wall would place it behind this area," he said proudly, "Honestly Shego, the fact you can't see that is amazing."

Shego let him have his moment as she spotted the opening for the key and simply moved the clothes out of the way for him. If it wasn't for her own curiosity she would have simply let him continue feeling around in the darkness and see how long it took him to see the blatant metal lock.

"Drakken," sighed Shego.

"It has to be here... unless it's on the bottom like a hatch," muttered Drakken as his hands moved along the edges, missing the keyhole completely.

"Drakken," stated Shego.

"That seems rather tedious, but maybe," Drakken began moving more items from the bottom of the wardrobe.

"Drakken-"

"What if it's outside-"

"Or maybe it's the keyhole right in front of you!" yelled Shego as she gestured to it near where his hand still rested.

Drakken looked at the keyhole and narrowed his eyes.

"Why didn't you tell me it was there?" he asked in annoyance.

Shego narrowed her eyes. She watched Drakken's features shift before he calmly stood up.

"I mean... good find, Shego," he coughed as he moved to put the key in. He paused, "Did you want too-"

"Just open it," hastened Shego.

"It's been there for decades, I don't think it's going to go anywhere," muttered Drakken at Shego's tone as he turned the lock, "I'm certain it's just an empty room-"

The door swung open and let the light pour in through the wardrobe. There were no boxes or continued storage... nor were there simply emergency lights continued from the storage room. There wasn't an unkempt mess like there had been in the mansion that had been hidden away swiftly. It was none of those... Shego wasn't sure what she'd expected or even what Drakken had thought might really be hidden behind a wall in his family cabin... but she was certain... this was not it.

"It's a lair," muttered Drakken.

AND onto the MYSTERY!
