"Ugh... I don't know what we're gonna do with him." Tiffany said, holding her head. All of this drama was giving her a massive headache.
"What CAN you do? Honestly, you really should have him committed." the ex-party girl stated.
As much as she wanted to hold off on that, she had just about reached her breaking point. However, Beckman told her what she needed to do if things got out of hand before he returned.
"Howard told me to schedule an intervention with him." the blondie stated.
Audrey blinked, thinking that might not be a good idea. Then again, it wasn't a bad idea neither.
"Yeah, that might work. We should call some people, see if they can get through to him. He's obviously fucked up in the head. Doing cocaine isn't going to help. Trust me, I know."
She nodded, understanding her perspective on the whole situation. She is an ex-drug addict. She knows more than me.
"I'm gonna try to call him again. I hope to God he didn't drown in the lake." she said, dialing her mentally ill boyfriend once again.
"Ugh, Kyu? What are you doing here?" Justin said to his old mentor, who had just rescued him from an attack from Percy and his miniature army.
She shook her head. "You really think I'm gonna let my best client go out like that? Nah, ain't gonna happen, buddy."
He shrugged, wondering why the pink-haired fairy saved him all of a sudden, especially considering their previous encounters in recent months.
She grabbed his hand and sat him down on a bench. Her intentions seemed to be less-malicious this time around.
"You should've let them kill me." he said to the pink-haired fairy, who was now sitting next to him.
"Bro, really? Just cause I chewed you out a little while ago doesn't mean I want you to die."
He looked at her, wondering what she may have wanted in return.
"Why did you save me?"
Kyu sighed, knowing he was still in a pretty negative mindset. "Because I don't want you to end up dead. Listen, I may have come off as pretty harsh that day in the bathroom."
Yeah, no shit He thought to himself.
"But I wasn't trying to come off as a bitch, alright? It was more about my own bullshit that I've been dealing with."
He tilted his head in confusion. "What are you talking about? What kind of bullshit could a love fairy like you possibly have to deal with?"
"Let's just say I made a mistake several months ago and have yet to fully recover from it. The boss has chewed me out every day since the little incident. I'm trying so hard to keep my rank in Sky Garden. That's why I've been trying to get through to you: To prove that I am a miracle-worker."
He nodded, somewhat understanding her intentions now. Even if it was for the sake of her own career, he knew she must've been under a lot of pressure if Venus was chewing her out every day.
"What did you do?" he asked, wondering what she could have possibly done to get on V's bad side.
She shook her head. "That's irrelevant. But just to let you know: I'm worried about you. I know what you are."
Oh shit, she knows. Eyes in ears in all places, eh? Fuck, now what do we do?
"You do?"
"Mmhmm. You're two minds sharing the same body. I know this, trust me. I did take a peek at you during your time in the facility that fucked up your head. Pretty crazy shit."
"You used the HuniePeek, didn't you?" he asked, referring to a previous device he used while he was in Cloud 10.
"Yep. But hey, since we talking about that shit, can I ask you something?"
He sighed, ready to answer another ridiculous question by his ex-mentor.
"Sure."
"So, remember when I brought you to Inna De Poona last May? You had JUST left that place right when I needed you, which was pretty freaking lucky. But, why weren't you acting like this during our quest with getting those fairy wings? With all the shit you went through, how were you able to play everything off like you were cool so well?"
"I... I masked my emotions. I was so happy that I left that the shit they did to me didn't affect me as much until three months later. And maybe it was also the fact that you showed up to take me on another sexy adventure that lifted my spirits for a little bit. You are a miracle-worker, you know that?"
"Aw, thanks homie. But listen: I know they did horrible things to you. I know you're traumatized from it all, and I know the roommate you had was a fucked up guy. I also know that Stefano Swire, or whatever the fuck his name is, has been relentless with harassing you. But, I just wanted to let you know that if shit hits the fan, I can help you if I need to."
First, Nadia. Now, Kyu? Who's next?
"The big breasted Russian babe already has me covered. No need to worry." he said, seemingly turning down Kyu's bodyguard offer.
"Oh really? She didn't have you covered a few minutes ago. You could use an extra set of protection. Hey, using two condoms is safer than one, am I right?"
He chuckled, still amused by her constant innuendos. But, she had a point. Nadia was nowhere to be found this time.
"Alright, Mama Sugardust." he said, sort of smiling at the remark.
But that small inch of joy was immediately quelled. She looked at him, knowing he was still in pain. Not only that, but there was this constant buzzing coming from his pocket. She knew that Tiffany was calling.
"You might wanna pick that up. Let her know you're still alive and shit." she said, telling him to answer his phone.
He nodded, taking the bulky device out of his pocket. He answered his girlfriend, who must've been worried sick about him at this point.
"There you are!" the voice on the other line immediately said.
"Y-Yeah. Hey, Tiffany." he replied, trying to keep himself calm.
"Are you okay? Me and Audrey have been looking all over the place for you." Tiffany said, sounding very worried.
He looked back at Kyu, who wanted him to be more transparent with her from the start. Though, he didn't want to tell her that he was jumped by a few gangbangers.
"I-I'm fine. I just went to blow off some steam."
"Oh, good. Where are you?"
He looked up, not entirely sure where he was exactly.
"The middle of fucking nowhere." he said, realizing the scenery.
"Wait, what?"
"I don't know where I ran off to. After I blacked out, I somehow ended up in a dark forest of some sorts. All I see are a bunch of dead trees, fog, and a big ass lake."
"Hmm..." the blondie said, wondering where he could possibly be.
He then remembered the phone tracker.
"Wait, don't you have my location enabled on your phone?" he asked Tiffany.
"Oh, yeah. I forgot about that. Hold on..."
After a few seconds of silence, it seemed as if she had found his location.
"I found you. God, how did you get all the way out there?" she asked, seeming surprised at the distance he traveled.
"I don't know. If I'm blacking out, upset and drunk, I probably walked for miles."
She understood, as it's something he's done before.
"Well, just stay where you're at. Me and Audrey are on our way to get you. When you get home, we still need to talk about the cocaine thing, okay?"
Fuck, why can't she just leave it?
"Okay." he begrudgingly said, still not wanting to address the situation.
"Don't be so upset about it. Audrey just handled it the wrong way."
She hung up, now on her way to the barren forest he was in. Justin then turned to Kyu, who was now relieved that he was more transparent with Tiffany this time around.
"Good job." she said, trying to cheer him up after everything going on.
"Kyu, stop."
"Oh come on. I'm just trying to cheer you up a bit."
He shrugged, still not happy with his current situations.
"Are you still worried?" she asked.
"About what?" he replied.
"About the Waffleslam guy."
He nodded, still having the fear of the Swire Brothers going after him. With the constant harassment and cyberbullying he faced, it wasn't long before someone like Dwayne or Sgt. Buttplug would dox him and the rest of his friends/family.
"When shit does hit the fan, I'll be there to help. Even if what you've been doing lately is completely outta line, I wouldn't want anything bad happening to you. You're my magnum opus, buddy. Don't think I forgot about what you did to the Nymphojinn last Summer. You got this."
Oh yeah. The badass who fucked two space hookers, even after being out of that place for not even a month at that point. I guess me masking my emotions on Inna De Poona did help, in the end...
He nodded, now on better terms with his ex-mentor, who was there for him since the beginning. She helped keep him sane during his time in Greenseed. Kyu Sugardust was definitely a loyal companion. In a way, the name "Mama Sugardust" meant something, besides being a ridiculous nickname.
"Thanks, Kyu."
"Don't mention it. Well, I'm gonna get outta here. Still have plenty of new clients that need training. Don't forget what I told you, okay?"
She vanished, now leaving him by himself to wait on his lover and close friend. She may have been right though: his behavior was out of line. But whenever someone loses control, their darkness takes over. It wasn't entirely his fault, but he needed a bit more self control if he wanted to get through all of this.
About twenty minutes later, Tiffany and Audrey arrived, seeing Justin on the bench. They knew he was still in a troubled state, so they did their best to try and avoid chasing him off again.
"There you are." the blondie said, happy to see her lover still in one piece.
"Hey." he said, still feeling an ounce of guilt for what he's been doing.
"We're here to take you home. Come on." Audrey said, trying nor to sound like a total narcissist (which was very difficult for her).
He got up and went with them to the car. He got in, still wondering what was in store for him. They found my cocaine, I had another breakdown, and I've got assholes pursuing me. Things can't get any worse...
As they were driving, Tiffany would constantly look in the rear-view mirror to see him in the backseat. Even if she did not approve of his recent behavior, she could tell there was something more to him underneath the surface.
"I know you're upset." she said, trying to make conversation with him.
"It's more than that, Tiffany Maye. I'm broken." he said, sounding off again.
"Regardless, I don't want you doing cocaine in our house. That's illegal, you know?"
"Yeah..." he said, thinking about the consequences of drug possession, even though the Commotion City police were incompetent. But knowing his luck, he'd get caught.
As they continued to drive, Justin's phone randomly went off again. However, Audrey and Tiffany were in the car, so it couldn't have been either of them.
"What the...?" he said, reading the unknown number coming from Indigopolis. He knew that wasn't a good sign. However, he answered it, hoping he was just being paranoid.
"H-Hello?" he said.
There was no answer, but rather a sadistic laugh before they hung up. His heart began to pound, realizing that the person may have been the one who started this recent mental decline.
Both the blondie and the ex-party girl heard the laughter, getting chills down their spines.
"Uh, d-don't worry about it, Justin. It was probably another troll or something." the blondie said, brushing it off like it wasn't a big deal.
Then how did they get my number then? Fuck, if they have my number, then they could dox me. SHIT!
They arrived at the house, still uneased at this long, crazy day they had. But thankfully, things might lighten up in their lives. It was October and a special visitor was scheduled to fly in to the city soon.
Still, the thought of the false idol from TeleYube having his number now gave JD some worry, as well as the return of the panic attacks. Shit WAS about to hit the fan and he wasn't sure if he'd be able to recover from it this time...
