I groaned when my alarm clock blared out through the still room. I had the volume down as it was hard for me to adjust my sonar ears first thing in the morning. Reaching out, I groped around till I found the little red alarm clock and slammed down on the button, cutting the sound off. I wanted nothing more than to snuggle down into the warm blankets, but I knew if I didn't get up someone was liable to come wake me, and I wasn't great at holding my temper first thing in the morning. With all the enthusiasm of someone being sent to the Omega Dimension, I lifted my covers and sat up, taking time to stretch out my muscles.
"I guess I have to get the day over with," I muttered, forcing myself out of bed.
I grabbed my phone and checked the weather forecast. It was supposed to be warmer, so with that in mind I got up and grabbed a pair of torn black denim shorts and a red cropped tank top along with my towel. Grumbling, I hurried across my room and into the hallway, coming face to face with Stella as she left her room.
I didn't bother talking to her, just turned to the bathroom door and opened it, slipping inside. As I expected, it was really nicely decorated. To my left was three light pink cubicles leading to toilets and in front of me was three basins with light pink cupboards underneath and mirrors with lights around them like a performer would have. A divider separated the rest of the room where I assumed the showers were. I went around the divider and noticed four cubicles, two on one side and two on the other and a line of towel rails in between them. One was already in use, so I quickly claimed one and hurried inside. I heard Stella enter the one next to me and dunked my head in the water. I made quick work of my routine, using the given rose scented shampoo and body wash before cutting the water, drying off and getting dressed.
I hurried out and hung up my towels before leaving the room. My hair was still damp and dripping on my neck, but I ignored it in favour of following the sounds I heard coming from the kitchen at the other end of our unit. I walked past the common room and saw Tecna curled up with a tablet, her forehead crinkled in concentration. I didn't want to disturb her and just carried on in the direction of voices.
"Flora these muffins are delicious," Bloom said, her voice muffled from what I assumed was a mouthful of muffin. "You didn't need to make us any; we could've gotten food from the cafeteria." she added.
"It's no trouble, I just wanted us all to start out on a better foot this morning, with yesterday's mess behind us," she said, tactfully avoiding calling Bloom out, even though she deserved it.
"Listen Flora I… oh hey Musa, come have a Muffin, Flora made them," Bloom changed conversation when I walked down the steps.
I met Flora's eyes and took note of her stern look. I rolled my eyes but looked at Bloom with what I hoped was a genuine enough smile. "Sure Bloom, thanks." I said, making my way over.
Flora placed a muffin on a small white and blue plate and handed it to me. I gave her a smile and took a bite, immediately moaning at the flavour. "Okay, that is so fucking good. What is it? It's sweet…but sour?" I asked, devouring another mouthful of muffin.
Flora frowned at my language but giggled at my reaction. "It's called a sourhoney berry, they grow on my realm," Flora explained.
"They are damn delicious," I said, my voice brokering no argument. "Hey, is there any coffee?" I asked, practically pleading.
"I'm sorry sweetie, but I made a cup of rise and shine tea, my family's recipe if you'd like a cup?" she offered, holding the delicate China teapot for me to see.
I didn't want to admit it, but I hated tea. Jasmine tea was big on my realm, but I just had never developed a taste for it. I forced a smile and shook my head. "Nah it's okay Flora, thanks though," I said, guilt flooding me when I saw her face fall.
"Hey what time is the orientation?" I asked, deliberately changing the subject
"It's at 10.30, so we have half an hour," Bloom said.
I was about to reply when Flora's phone chimed, the sound conjuring images of wind blowing through leaves. She pulled it out and flushed, though I caught the name Sienna written on her phone. She quickly put it back in her long pink shirt's pocket and cleared her throat.
"Um, I have to take this. I'll see you girls at the orientation," she said, before running away as fast as she could.
I narrowed my eyes but shrugged it off. I had just met the girl yesterday; I wasn't owed anything by her. Bloom watched her roommate run away with curiosity before turning to me with a mischievous smile. "Boyfriend you think?" she asked, her bright blue eyes twinkling.
"It's Flora's business, not ours. I think I'm going to go chill in my room for a bit. I'll see you all at the orientation." I didn't wait for a reply, just turned on my heel and walked back to my room, shutting it behind me.
I leaned against it and fell to the ground. I knew I was benign unfair, especially since they only kept the charade up for not even a full day, but I couldn't help but be pissed off anyway. It was the principle of thing. Sighing, I forced myself up and strode over to my bed, right as my phone rang out. I cursed and picked it up, praying to the Muses that it wasn't my father. I let out an audible sigh of relief when my aunts name, Viola, stood out on the screen. I sat down and pressed answer, holding it to my ear.
"Hey Auntie, how are you?" I asked, injecting my voice with the proper cheer.
"Oh, Musie darling, I'm so glad I caught you!" she gushed. "I tried to get ahold of my wayward daughter too. But no, she is just too busy to answer me. Thank the Muses you haven't forgotten me already, my darling niece," she said, affection coating her words.
Knot lodged in my throat at her material words, and I pushed away the almost debilitating wish that it was my mother who called me.
"Muse? You there?" she asked, a tinge of worry in her tone.
I cleared my throat and force cheer back into my voice. She didn't need to know how I was feeling. Sure, I lost a mother, but she lost her sister. I had to remember that. "Yes, Auntie Viola, I'm here. I'm sorry Anthem hasn't answered, but you know what she is like," I said, chuckling at the thought of my cousin out in Hex town causing mischief.
My aunt muttered something under her voice that made me chuckle. "Yes, well I'll get her one day. Now enough about my daughter, how is Alfea? Is it everything you dreamed it would be?" My aunt was a Witch, a powerful one at that, so she never attended Alfea. She did visit my mother so she understood a little, but not to the extent a student would.
"It's been a little chaotic," I said, filling her in on everything, except the scuffle in Magix. She would just worry if I told her.
"Ugh those stuck-up Fairies. Do you want me to curse them?" she offered, sounding much too excited by the idea. "It won't be a bad one, just a little one to remind them not to be so self-centred."
I chuckled and leaned on the mattress. "It's okay aunt V, though I appreciate it. How's it back home?"
We spent the next 15 minutes catching up, before I had to hang out and head out to the quad. "Love you Musie, call me if you need anything. Oh, and if you see my wayward daughter…"
"I'll make sure to make her call you. Curse her with tinnitus of I have to," I said, only half joking.
My aunt let out a dreamy sigh. "Muses, you'd have made a glorious witch. Now get going, you'll make your mama proud.," she said her voice softening before she hung up and left me staring at my phone feeling a mixture of gratefulness and sadness.
The girls were already out in the quad when I got out there. I saw Flora, Bloom and Tecna near the front while Varanda and Stella hovered near the back, no doubt almost late. I hovered near the back, my music filling my ears and the warmth of the sun washing over me.
A magic-made stage appeared, causing the students to gasp. In a burst of light, Miss Faragonda appeared in the centre, her arms outstretched as if to embrace us.
"Hello students, a warm welcome to our beloved school. I trust the informal welcome yesterday was enough to help you learn the basics of Alfea, but today I will go into further detail to help you become the very best you can be."
She had a way of talking that captivated your attention, and despite saying things all heads of schools said, she seemed to mean it.
"Some of you will be Fairy Godmothers, some of you will run businesses or grant wishes. Many of you are princesses and duchesses from your realms and will rule your kingdoms and estates. Whatever your destiny holds Alfea will serve as a springboard to bring you successes. Remember there is no magic to be used in the halls, though you may practice spells in your dormitories. You must be home at 10pm on school nights and 12pm on weekends. Boys are not allowed to stay the night, and you will be punished if you break the rules. Follow the laws of the realm when not in school and remember, you are Alfea Fairies so behave as such."
I wanted to roll my eyes, but her rules made sense.
"You will have 5 mandatory years here and will spend one semester away from the school on a mission given to you by me, to see how your skills are progressing. We allow a handful of students to stay here for a further two years to do university level work, with a specialist in the subject, with your final year at Magix University. Each year will culminate with you having a test and you will have the goal to have a new Fairy Transformation, with the final year being your Enchantix, the full-fledged Fairy Form. You will learn more about these in class, Now, let the tour begin."
My mind was so overloaded with information I felt like it would explode. A glance around showed me I wasn't the only one feeling that way. Miss Faragonda made her way off the stage, and we followed her around the courtyard. She pointed out the classrooms around the courtyard, culminating at about 30. We went inside and down a corridor where there were 3 potion labs running and one out of commission. We went down another and saw the cafeteria and the kitchen. We stopped by the school hospital and the school hall and the school gym, which I made a mental note to go as soon as possible. Attached was a dance room which made me grin. We went past the musical cafe which made my Winx buzz, before going upstairs. We ignored the dorms though she pointed out the staff quarters in case we needed it along with her and the staff offices and the large amphitheater and library. We finished off at the simulation room and a large space where we would do practical magic.
"Behind the school is the natural park, the greenhouse and the aviary, but you will see those when you attend your classes," Miss Faragonda said as she led us down the steps. Reaching the send, she turned to us and smiled widely. "This is the start of a wonderful adventure, and you will meet lifelong friends here. Make sure you venture outside your dorm and meet other students. With that done, I will give you the rest of the day to relax as classes start tomorrow. Good day girls, I look forward to being part of your journeys."
With a wave of her hand she vanished, leaving us awkward standing in the foyer. I saw my roommates grouping together and trudged over, only for my phone to chime when I was a few meters away. I pulled it out and smirked when I saw the name. I unlocked it and glanced at the message.
ANTHEM: hey girly I trust your time in fairy floss land is going well. If you need a break, the girls and I are heading to Hex Town for a slice if you want to join. Just text me and come over to CT.
I grinned at her message and quickly sent her a reply. The girls were deep in conversation when I joined them, with only Flora noticing I had arrived. She turned to me with a gentle smile and cut though Stella's shrieks.
"Hey Musa, we were just making plans for the rest of the day," she said, her happy energy infectious.
Stella interrupted before I could answer. "I'm going to Red Fountain to see my beloved Ed and Randy here is meeting up with some other princess. Who are you meeting, by the way?" She asked, turning to her best friend.
"Princess Georgette of Brocade, Princess Penelope of Reverie and Princess Nevaeh of Angelus," she said, making Stella light up.
"Ooh tell them I say hi. It's been a while since I saw Georgie," she said, grinning.
"Will do S," Varanda said, flipping her long ponytail over her shoulder.
Flora jumped in next. "Bloom and I are going to go look at the lake and I'm going to show her Enchanted City if anyone would like to come." Flora said, giving Tecna and I a small smile.
"I am putting together more of my devices today, but your offer is appreciated," Tecna said, making me wonder how many devices she had.
Flora looked at me, "what about you Musa?"
I shook my head, "thanks but I've already got plans with some friends of mine."
Flora's expression dropped but her smile returned moments later. "Alright have fun, what do you girls say we have dinner together?" She tried again.
We all agreed and slipped out to go our separate ways with Bloom, Flora and Tecna returning to their room and Varanda, Stella and I going outside.
Varanda and Stella chatted amongst themselves, which suited me fine. I wasn't sure how I felt about either of them, so having some space was good for me. I smiled when the sun stroked my face, and a faint breeze blew through the courtyard. Only sun and a little wind was permitted through the barrier, so the temperature was always perfect.
Varanda veered off to where three girls were chatting, and Stella and I continued walking in a slightly awkward silence. There was nothing really, we could say to each other as we had nothing in common. We reached the gate and exited, meeting the weather full force. It was hotter than it was inside the barrier, and Stella glowed with all the extra magic she was absorbing. She turned to me and waved awkwardly.
"Well, I'm flying, so enjoy the bus or whatever, dawling," she said, shrugging noncommittedly.
I raised an eyebrow and watched as magic that hurt my eyes encased her. She hovered in mid-air, the light making it impossible to see what she was doing. In the end it faded, and she fell to the ground, her heels sinking into the soft grass. A brilliant smile rested on her lips she felt the energy coursing through her. She turned to me and winked, and I couldn't help but smile back. Her orange sparkly outfit suited her, though I really hoped mine wouldn't be so bright when I got it.
"Ta ta now," she said, pushing off and fluttering her wings.
I watched as she jumped in the air and fluttered off. For a Light Fairy, she wasn't the fastest, which kinda of surprised me. Maybe she was just having a lazy fly. I magicked my earphones and stuck them on my head, letting the rock music flow into me and ignite my magic. I was only waiting a few moments before the bus arrived, and once I had told them where I was off to, I sat down and watched the world go by as I left my school for my favourite person.
The bus ride was fairly quick, and soon the bus landed outside the fierce school. It kinda of reminded me of a gnarled purple tree with all the spires reaching out to scrape against the sky. Somehow the weather hear was worse, though maybe that was a stylistic choice. My cousin and her friends, two of whom I'd seen before, were waiting anxiously for me, and I hurried off the bus so I could see the one person who understood me more than anyone.
"Musie!" she called, delight filling her voice, when she saw me.
"Anthie!" I called back, chucking as we ran into each other's arms.
"Oh my gosh I missed you so much! How's Alfea? Anymore drama? Can I hex anyone? Give me the deets!" she squealed as she pulled away from me.
I chuckled, well used to these greetings. "It's good, had orientation today. No more drama and no, but I'll let you know if that changes."
She pouted, but the expression only lasted a second. She grinned again and pulled me over to her friends.
"Girls! Meet my cousin and all-around favourite ever Fairy, Musa, the Fairy of Music!" she said.
Sheerah, one of her best friends stepped forward. Her blood red straight hair was left out to her ankles, and she had a side fringe that kept wanting to fall into her dark brown eyes. Her skin was tanned and she was wearing a brown long sleeved mini dress with a thick belt across her hips and brown ankle boots.
"Musa, it is lovely to see you again," she said, smiling as she stepped forward and pulled me into a warm hug.
I wasn't big on affection, but I liked this girl so let her, winding my arms around her as well.
"It's great to see you too, Sheer," I said, pulling back.
She was pulled out of my arms and replaced with a grinning witch with waist length wavy dark silver hair. She had two lighter pieces at the front and her eyes were a steel grey. She has light skin and was wearing a pair of black skinny jeans and a light grey strappy halter top.
"Musa! Give me a hug!" she called, pulling me in and squeezing me so hard I thought my back would break.
I grinned and hugged Vanna back equally as hard, knowing that the Witch of Metal would appreciate it. We pulled back and grinned, and she threw an arm over my shoulder as we looked at the remaining girls.
A girl with dark green hair that fell in waves to her breasts walked forward. She had a fringe similar to myself and dark blue eyes. Her outfit looked cool, dark green shiny ripped pants and a long-sleeved back top with dark green netting over it.
"Hi there, I'm Fianna, Witch of Hunting and Tracking," she introduced, holding a hand out to me.
"Hi there, I'm Musa, as you know," I said, chuckling.
"Fi here is also the Princess of Venari, the kingdom of the Wild," my cousin said, sounding smug.
I looked at her pleadingly. "Please tell you aren't smug like my roommates."
She chuckled, a slightly mean undertone to the sound. "Please, if I was I'd have mentioned it myself. Now, this is our roommate Arisa, the Witch of Erosion and sand and her twin who isn't in our room but wanted to hang out with us anyway, Anala, the Witch of Temperature," I looked at the twin and my smile fell when they curled their lip at me.
Arisa had sand coloured hair that was to her knees and worn in a high ponytail. She wore a dark yellow ankle length dress strapless dress with a see through yellow long sleeved undershirt. Her twin had similar colour hair, though her's was streaked with lighter colour pale blues and oranges, and she wear a dark orange cropped vest and black skinny jeans. I raised an eyebrow at their tude and turned to the final girl. She had mid blue hair that she wore in corn rows and dark skin. Her eyes were a lighter blue and she wore a navy coloured off the shoulder t shirt dress. She smiled back politely and bowed slightly to me. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Musa. I am Zepherine. I do not live with your cousin, but I do share a space with Anala."
"Nice to meet you too," I said, smiling.
"You never mentioned the chick joining us was a Fairy, Anthem," Anala sneered, looking at me like one might a maggot.
"Yea, her kind isn't welcome here," Arisa added, wrinkling her nose.
My cousin stepped forward, her eyes narrowed and a dark purple magic surrounding her. She stepped forward into their space and raised a finger to Anala's face.
"You do not get to speak to my or about my cousin like that. I will curse both of you happily if you dare speak about her like that again. Show some fucking respect," she hissed, and I felt chaotic soundwaves rolling off her.
I stepped forward, and pulled her away. I forced her to look at me, and slowly saw some of the anger ebb from her eyes.
"Anth, it's not worth it okay. They can think whatever they like but you need to room with Arisa this year, so you can't fuck this up," I said firmly.
"Ooh look Ris, the Fairy swore. Someone alert the media."
My cousin growled but I didn't let her go, even as he sister snickered back. I waited for Vanna and Sheerah to pull her away, and once they did, I turned on my heel and stalked over to the pair of self righteous assholes, getting in their space.
"I don't care if you hate me, I don't particularly like you either. But I will not tolerate disrespect to me or my cousin and if you do so, I will use my powers to give you a headache that'll split your brain in two, am I clear?" I snapped, letting my magic encase me.
They looked at each other then looked at me, with something like begrudging respect in their eyes. Anala snickered and looked at me with the first approving smile I had seen her direct my way. "You sure you're a Fairy? That was hella Witch like," she said, snickering.
"Yea girl, maybe you need to shed those wings and transfer," Arisa added, a more relaxed smile on her face.
"I can still throw down even with my wings, thank you very much," I added, glaring half heartedly.
The girls laughed and nodded, before turning to my cousin. "Anthem, we're sorry for being so judgemental." Arisa started.
"Yea, we just have issues with Fairies from our homeworld and brought it back over here." Anala finished.
I was curious what they meant, but didn't pry. My cousin narrowed her eyes but eventually the smile won over, and I could tell she forgave them. "No problem, just keep that crap away from Musa. If I could have her in my coven, I would in a heart beat."
That declaration seemed to sober them up and they looked at me wide eyed. I furrowed my brow, not really understanding the issue. I knew Witches tended to form covens and work in groups, and were very selective about it, but didn't really know much more. Fairies were surprisingly more prone to work alone, and work in multiple groups when needed but rarely formed proper groups they worked in all their lives. Maybe that was it?
A silence descended upon the group and I made a mental note to ask my cousin about it later. To break the silence, Fianna cleared her throat and grinned at us.
"Shall we get going to Hex? I kinda wanna get there before I'm 80," she said, smirking.
That dissolved the tension and they were all snickering.
"Do we want to bus or teleport?" Vanna asked, looking around the group.
"Teleport, it's quicker," my cousin said. She turned to me with a mischievous grin. "One benefit witches have. All of us can teleport whereas only some Fairies can," she grinned.
I rolled my eyes and gave her my hand. She chucked and squeezed it, before we vanished in a flurry of sound waves.
Hex Town was like nothing I had ever imagined it would be. I expected it to be dark and gloomy, but it wasn't. It was darker than Magix, and a smaller city with a central courtyard and five streets coming off it creating a wheel shape. There was no driving in the town, with a hover car and bike lot outside the city limits. The buildings were all different jewel tones, with hanging baskets of night blooming flowers over it and apartments on top of the sops. The pathways were black cobble stone and the center courtyard had a white stone fountain with seats around it, looking down each street.
"This is not what I expected," I admitted, looking around.
Fianna sniggered and looked at me with a mischievous grin. "What, you expecting a dark cave somewhere?"
"More or less," I admitted, shrugging unapologetically.
"The bigger witch town is Nox City which isn't to far from here, but we like the more relaxed atmosphere here," Vanna explained.
"I can see why. It's dope," I said, watching in awe at the carvings on the building walls.
"Come on, lets go to a cafe and get some food," Arisa said, nodding towards one of the streets.
We all fell into step, and I admired the way the darker jewel tones worked in harmony. We were just passing a dark blue building when my phone buzzed. I pulled it out and wrinkled my nose at the name. Anthem noticed and looked at me curiously. I groaned and handed her the phone, making her wrinkle her nose too.
"Ugh, why haven't you blocked him yet?" she asked, promptly deleting the message so I wouldn't be tempted to look at it.
"You know why," I said, my voice firm.
"What's going on?" Vanna asked, as she and Fianna fell into step with us.
I rolled my eyes and pocketed my phone. "Nothing, lets just focus." I said, speeding up to join the twins.
I felt my cousins eyes on me but ignored her. They drew me into conversation, being much warmer than they were at the start. I could understand, the Witch Fairy divide growing stronger by the day. I didn't know what caused it, only that each year level seemed to contribute to it. I was just lucky my family was so open, with both Fairies and Witches being featured strongly in my mothers side of the family.
"Here we go, the Witches Brew Cafe," Arisa said, holding her hand up to show me the building.
It was cute, coloured burgundy, and had French doors that were spelled open allowing black tables to spill out. We walked in, and I looked around taking in the wrought iron black tables, the cafe cabinet at the far end and the various darker landscape pictures coating the wall. It had an unexpected warmth to the building and was filled with various witches.
"Take a seat, Muse. I'll order you your favourite," My cousin said, and I nodded and listened to her, choosing a seat near the front of the building.
Arisa and Vanna followed me, after Van gave Sheerah her order. We sat down and I relaxed, feeling some of the tension that'd been building since I moved here leave me. The wrought iron was cold against my bare thighs and I stuffed my hands under them to keep the cold from leeching in. I looked around with mild interest, before tension when a slightly familiar voice caught my attention.
I narrowed my eyes when I saw the witches from Magix sitting there, smirks on their faced. They were joined by three other witches and two guys. I scanned them, making note of the girls who were there. My eyes kept reverting back to the hottest guy I had ever seen. His maroon coloured hair was jelled back, and he had a smugness about him that had me biting my lip and imagine what it'd be like to peel off the muscle shirt he wore to see what was underneath.
"What are you…oh no, you are not looking at him. He is off limits." Vanna said, forcing my eyes away from the sexy man.
I looked at her and forced an innocent expression on my face. Arisa followed where Vanna was looking and made a worried sound before meeting my eye.
"Musa, girl. I can see why you're staring but that sexy man is off limits. Like, leave him alone or face Darcy's wrath, off limits," she said, her gaze darting between me and the other group.
"Who is he?" I asked, my gaze returning to him like a moth drawn to a flame, despite knowing it'll get singed.
Vanna and Arisa glanced at each other before sighing. Vanna jumped in, finally answering my question. "That's Riven Kestros from Vallisto, a hot as sin mystery man that has been dating Darcy, the brunette witch, for over a year now."
I stared at them, contemplating what was said. I wasn't the kind of girl who would go after a guy who was taken, even though he was hot as all hell and I was drawn to him like I was an instrument. It wasn't even that I knew she would beat my ass if I tried anything, it was against my morals. Still, I could admire, right?
Riven smirked and nodded at something the black-haired guy said, before sweeping his gaze across and meeting mine. I stared at him falling into the violet colour of his eyes. There was an intensity in them that sent heat pooling through me, and it felt like an entire orchestra was playing in my mind as we gazed at each other. Darcy must have sensed something before her sultry gaze fell on me. Her golden eyes narrowed and I watched as she turned her boyfriends gaze to him and kissed him. She pushed her body against him and moulded them together. His hands raised up and threated his hand in her hair, pulling her closer. I tore my gaze away and met Vanna's sympathetic expression. I glanced down at my lap and only looked up when Vanna whispered I could look up.
I didn't even look over at them, despite feeling his gaze drilling into me. My cousin came over, a small smile on her face, with her friends following behind her. She took one look at me and her expression hardened.
"What happened?" she demanded, her protective instincts coming out.
"Riven," Arisa said simply, the name making me flinch.
My cousin smiled at me sympathetically, knowing how boys were a sensitive subject for me. She hurriedly changed subject and I threw myself into conversation. I could still feel his curious gaze on me but I ignored him, instead enjoying my time with my friends.
By the end of it, the group of us were getting on like a musician with great acoustics. We slipped out of our seats and hurried out, and I was proud when I didn't even look bac. We made our way down the street to the central courtyard, where the group smiled at each other.
"Okay, I'm going to take Muse home, so we'll see you all later," Anthem said, letting an arm fall over my shoulders.
"Great getting to know you girl. We'll have to hit a club next time," Fianna said, getting a nod from Arisa, Anthem and Vanna.
"Hell yea, text me," I said, having gotten each of their numbers.
"Come on cuz, let's get you home," Anthem said, smiling at me before we disappeared in a flurry of sound waves.
Anthem and I appeared in a flash of energy and she pulled me into a hug. She squeezed me, letting me know silently she wanted to talk. I groaned and pulled back, giving her a stern look.
"Anth, I don't want to talk about Wren okay, and I promise to stay away from Riven," I said, despite every fibre of my being telling me I wanted the opposite.
"You will need to eventually and when you are I'll be here or you. Also, stay away from Darcy and her crew, they are bad news." she said, shocking me as she always said Witches were misunderstood.
I nodded and she scanned my face before returning the gesture. After another hug, she teleported back to Cloud Tower, leaving me with my thoughts.
Holy cow, 5631 words later and this chapter is complete. I know I changed Riven and Darcy but I wanted to add depth to that instead of the being spelled thing. I hope you like Anthem and her friends and the inclusion of another city in Magix. Next chapter will focus on the dance so I hope you enjoy that. If you'd consider reviewing that'd be awesome, Thanks!
