"The Perfect Hero"
His life was such a blur.
He didn't even know who his own parents were.
The CIA wanted a weapon and changed him.
They bonded his skeleton with adamantium.
And without reaching summit,
He finally quit.
He then joined the Canadian Secret Service.
He had friends, a girl, and true bliss.
A man then said, "For all of life I'll be your friend.
I'll be there through it all and to the end."
And then his friend for life
Brought him great strife.
His friend killed many people he trusted.
These actions made him very disgusted.
The lives of those he loved, he would avenge.
So he sought the perfect revenge.
When he joined up with the X-Men,
He learned he was no longer a weapon.
The X-Men fought to protect human fate.
They even fought for the ones they hate.
He fell in love with a very special woman,
But she only feelings for another man.
Through all his jealousy, he respected it
Because that was only appropriate.
He then had an encounter with an old foe,
And his life was filled with much woe.
His once well-bonded admantium,
Magneto pulled from him.
The woman he would love forever
Gently pieced him back together.
To fully recover, he had to go.
What else to do? He didn't know.
Later, it made him a little enraged
To learn that Redd was engaged.
He wrote the fiances a letter
To wish them the best and better.
Much time passed,
But he returned at last.
Then his friend-killer returned,
And, oh, how the memories burned.
Somehow the prof. pitied him,
And let the deadly man in.
Then Creed told Logan a very familiar threat.
He did something to Creed; something he'll never forget.
He punched a hole through Creed's head.
Amazingly, Creed never bled.
Creed got better every day.
Better and better in a different way.
After a while longer,
Creed became stronger.
Then on a whim one day,
Creed broke free and got away.
That was the end for him.
No one saw Creed again.
Then Genesis saw it as his fate
A horseman for Apocalypse to create.
So he took the suffering man,
And tied to complete his plan.
There was only one man with whom he could succeed.
With Genesis's new plan, they would proceed.
But Logan didn't want the admantium.
Hr didn't want to go through it again.
And he didn't.
He denied it.
He killed Genesis and was the left terrified and scared.
His wounds, physical and mental, desperately needing repair.
This is a time in his life that he suffered terrible emotion.
But, through it all, he stuck to his devotion.
Despite his insanity,
He fought for humanity.
His life has one familiar theme:
To be the one and only Wolverine.
AS all the others seem to go,
Logan will always be the perfect hero.
