"What happened to your eye" Tiona asked.

"Genya and I played with gunpowder and we got blown up" Bell replied quickly coming up with an excuse.

The group didn't really know what gunpowder was but knew what an explosion was so didn't question it. Bell looked around the room and took account of those who were in it. To his left we're the two amazon sisters. On his right was the blond women Aiz from earlier. Back left of the tent was the woman with the eyepatch who brought him here and in the back right were two elves one of them being Lefyia which he knew.

"Oh oh what about your familia they dress weird especially Inosuke. Tiona asked again

"Tiona calm down don't ask him stuff like that" her sister chided.

"Oh that's just their normal demon slayer outfits" Bell answered. He immediately regretted that decision as he saw multiple eyes light up.

"Alright before any of you start asking 20 questions at once I'll go over a quick overview of what we are then I'll answer questions ok" Bell quickly said before Tiona would go into question mode. The group agreed and Bell began his story.

"Pretty much we're just another type of adventures that fight monsters on the surface" Bell began but was interrupted. "But aren't monsters on the surface weaker" Lefyia asked. "Not the ones we fight now please no interruptions until after I'm done" Bell answered. "The monsters we fight are called demons they only come out at night as the sun can kill them by burning them to death. So we can only fight them at night where they have the advantage in combat in almost every way. From near instant regeneration to a magic like ability called blood demon arts they can slaughter there way though people and armies like a hot knife through butter. As a way to combat them the demon slayer corp was born and we use breathing styles to help us fight. Now demons can range from low ranks as in people who just turned and the upper moons people who have been demons for hundreds of years and their leader Muzan whose been a demon for so long nobody knows how long he's been alive now any questions" Bell asked finishing his very short story.

"Well if demons are so strong how do you kill them" the other elf who Bell didn't know asked.

"They're two ways to kill a demon and both require combat and a certain type of weapon. The first type of weapon is a nichirn blade doesn't matter what type of weapon it is as long as it has nichirn and you aim for the neck to cut their head off you'll win. The other type of weapon is a mystical weapon one's the gods used when they wandered the earth when it was first created and it's the same as nichirn as long as you cut off the head you'll kill the demon not that it's an easy feat however" Bell answered. "Now any questions" Bell asked already knowing the answer.

What are breathing styles, how strong are the demons,what's a demon art,what's nichirn and what is Muzan after we're just some of the questions he heard.

"Alright calm down I can't answer if you all talk over each other"

The questions died down and Bell started to answer on the ones he heard. "Breathing styles are in a way like the falna they give us more stamina strength and speed to be able to keep up with the demons but not everyone can use them like Genya and myself as such we have a severe disadvantage when it comes to fighting demons" "now onto how strong the demons are depends on what their rank is and how much of Muzans blood they possess" "demon arts are like magic and are different depending on the person like lower moon five"

"Wait you fought lower moon five" Tiona shrieked excitedly.

"Yup and he almost killed me with his blood demon art" Bell said lowering his shirt to his collarbone where a scar in the shape of a thin but noticeable red line was.

"What was his demon art" the elf beside Lefyia who Bell had now guessed was Alicia since he saw her serving dinner earlier asked shyly.

"Would you believe me if I told you it was a string as strong as steel" Bell chuckled.

"A string did that to you" the woman with the eyepatch said.

"Well it was more like spider silk but yes it did"

"Oh you gotta tell us about the fight I bet it was awesome" Tiona said her sister stopping having to stop her from bouncing.

"Heh no if it wasn't for Giyu showing up when he did I'd be dead. Hell that whole mountain was a nightmare watching my comrades be controlled like puppets there bones all broken and having to kill them cause we couldn't treat them. Watching as both Inosuke and Zenitsu were nearly killed and then Rui wrapping me up in his demon art. No it was a massacre a place of death and suffering,a place I never want to go to again" Bell said sadly his eye going darker before he closed it seeing that place again.

The group didn't know what to do what could they even say to that. However they didn't have to say anything as Bell smelt a familiar scent coming from the entrance to floor 18. He stood up and ran out of the tent towards the entrance just in time to see Ryu in her adventures attire followed by a trio of people from the Far East a woman with blue hair and a blond man with a hat on. Bell narrowed his eyes at the far eastern trio knowing they were the ones that did the pass parade on them.

"Ah so nice to finally meet you young Bell" the blonde man said.

"And just why is a god down here" Bell asked.

"Ah allow me to introduce myself I am Hermes and this is my captain Asfi Al Andromeda"

Bell then looked at the captain who looked pissed at her god. His eyes then went over to Ryu who was staring at him. He then looked at the three far eastern adventurers.

"Uh this is gonna be a headache follow me to the tent" Bell said turning around and walking to their tent. The group followed them drawing the eyes of everyone around including those who Bell was just with considering how he ran out. He didn't look at them as he flipped up the flap of the tent and walked. When his group looked up they knew things were serious and stopped playing their game. Before any of them could ask what was wrong Ryu and her group came into the tent. When Genya recognized who the trio behind her was he charged at them enraged but Bell held him back and told him to calm down.

"AND WHY SHOULD I THEY NEARLY KILLED US" he roared.

"You think I don't know that I was there but we don't have the full story so calm down and listen" Bell said surprisingly calm or rather it wasn't calm more like there was no emotion behind it.Genya hearing his tone did what he asked and took a breath. He then went to the back of the tent with Welf and sat down.

"Now you wanna explain your side of the story" Bell said turning around with an impassive look on his face. Rengoku said nothing and let Bell do his thing while yes he was the captain his boys will never grow if he's always holding their hand.

The three adventures immediately got on their knees and slammed their head into the ground and asked for forgiveness. Bells group just blinked and looked at each other.

"Christ stand up I asked for you side of the story not slam your head into the ground" Bell said shaking his head.

The big one and the only guy of the group stood up and stared at him before speaking. "Look I'm not sorry for what I did my friend was injured and you were an easy target and if I could go back in time I'd do it again" the man said. Welf and Genya were about to punch the guy before Bell held his hand up making them stop.

"Huh looks like people from the East have spines after all but" Bell began getting right up in the man's face. "Next time you pull shit like that make sure the party you passed is dead" Bell then turned to walk out of the tent before stopping. "Or better yet make sure I'm dead the only reason you're not right now is because our goddess is friends with you god but next time it won't matter. Now stay here and talk I'm taking a walk" Bell finished throwing the flap open and walking off.The tent was silent for moment before Welf spoke.

"Sheesh remind me not to make Bell mad"

"Bell wasn't mad" Genya said.

"Yeah if he was mad he would've torn them limb from limb and fed them to the monsters" Inosuke finished.

"Don't forget he'd keep them alive to" Zenitsu added.

The three far eastern adventurers looked terrified before composing themselves and asking for forgiveness again. Bell walked into the woods not angry but he could feel it coming on so he left before he'd say something he'd regret. When he got into a clearing he stopped and then spoke.

"You can stop following me Ryu I can take care of myself" The elf came out of the trees above him as she was using the branches to follow him. When he heard her feet touch the ground he turned around to face her seeing worry mixed with fear after a minute she spoke.

"Syr was worried about you when she found out"

"Well I'm fine so no need to worry now just run back up and tell her the good news" he spat.

"Bell why are you acting like this" Ryu asked a little taken aback at his tone.

"I'll answer your question with another question why are you both scared of me"

Ryu jumped startled by his question before retorting. "We're not scared of you just worried is all" she said. "I'm not stupid Ryu I see how you both look at me I've seen the look hundreds of times before so the reason I'm like this is because I was on the path to considering you to be my friends but after that fight after Syr hid I knew then and there that'd she would always be scared of me. The only reason she wants to apologize is because she feels guilty I know it and you know it so let's not kid ourselves here" he ranted yet to Ryu she didn't hear any anger in his voice no he was calm. Calm and tired she could tell. "Now if that's all you should go get some sleep you had a long journey and I know Syr would be heartbroken if you died" Bell said before walking deeper into the forest. Ryu stood there she didn't know how long just stood there shocked and before she knew it she had lost track of Bell and couldn't find him. She went back to the direction camp ashamed of her failure but didn't go back into the camp instead she found a tree went to its highest branch and slept.

Bell walked out of the forest and arrived at a cliff looking out across the floor he sat down and dangled his legs over the edge watching as the crystals above made it look like night. He looked out upon the sight for a few minutes before hearing a familiar voice.

"So this is where you ran off to" Rengoku said taking a seat next to him.

"Yeah guess so how are the others" Bell asked.

"They're fine trying to make amends with the pass paraders but they're fine I'm asking about you though" he said.

"I'm just tired" he said.

"Ah I understand Bell life hasn't been kind to you but you know you have your family to lean on right you don't have to do everything yourself" Rengoku said bring Bell into a side hug.

"I know it just bothers me"

"What does" Rengoku asked.

"I'm tired of people being scared of me no matter what I try and do to help people they look at me with fear and contempt I'm just tired of it all" Bell answered.

"I'm sorry Bell I'm sorry those people are too stupid to not see what an incredible young ma you are. You never asked for any of this yet you continued to push on regardless and that in itself is praise worthy" Rengoku stopped seeing Bell stare at him with hope in his one visible eye. "Look just keep pushing forward remember it's always darkest before the light breaks though so keep your head up high and keep going" Rengoku finished looking at Bell with a smile. Bell didn't say anything but nodded and let out a wry chuckle. Rengoku went to move but Bell grabbed onto him.

"Can we stay like this just a little longer" he asked desperation evident in his voice.

"Sure Bell we can stay like this as long as you'd like"

Unknown to the two of them a certain Amazon was listening behind a tree as she herself went to find the young man.
