Chapter Five:

If one used a single word to describe what defined the young child known as Hailey Potter, the words 'mischief' and 'chaos' usually came to mind. The young girl always seemed to bring mayhem wherever she went, and even if it wasn't intentional, she would without a doubt thoroughly enjoy it as entertainment, usually accompanied by the sound of her laughter. Many bouts of havoc often becoming memorable incidents to the Potter-family and their close friends. One of which was the time when Hailey tried to play with Errol, the old post-owl of the Weasley-family, and somehow caused the old owl to fly around the Burrow and make a massive mess of the kitchen in a state of panic. While quite a bit of damage was caused, it wasn't something a few Mending-Charms couldn't fix and Errol only took a few hits to the head but might have lost a few years of his life.

That particular incident was what made the Potter start avoiding the Weasleys in a more active manner when they could. The fact that the matriarch of the family, Molly Weasley, had been particularly vocal in regards to Hailey, regularly suggesting that the Child of the Crawling Chaos' adopted parents should get rid of her while being very insensitive regarding the fact that neither James nor Lily were able to have children of their own. Nobody was completely sure how, but one time when the Weasley matriarch was thinking ill about the Potters behind their back during a gathering, the dinner served had somehow a sooty layer in the shape of what looked like rather good writing in English insulting the rude woman, signed by a 'Mr. Tiddles' which only made the woman the writing was addressed to and her family very paranoid. The fact that the woman suffered from dreams so incomprehensible it hurt trying to forget them was quite the icing on the horrifying cake.
