Death and Rising

Flashes of white go by my head
My soul feels ready to fly
My humanness is leaving me
I can feel myself vanishing
from this cursed world

But will I go with bloodstained hands?

The heaviness of the metal
is killing me from inside
The wires dig into my skin
and break what's left of
my wasted spirit

Redness is covering my eyes
Covering my body
Covering my chest
I can feel the metallic pain
ring through me
and the thousands of thoughts
that go across my mind

Women screaming
Men praying to God for help
Children crying out for their mothers
People that laugh as I fade

Flashes of white go by my head
My soul feels ready to fly
My humanness is leaving me
I can feel myself vanishing
from this cursed world

But will I go with bloodstained hands?

I smile one last, wasted time
I can hear them ask why
Why do you smile
in the face of death?
And I answer into their pure minds,

I know the happiness of the hunt
I know the sadness of the kill
