The U.A entrance exam. Being the most prestigious heroics college in Japan, easily one of the best in the world, meant that a tiny percentage of applicants got into U.A. Percy was determined to be one of those applicants. He had been training for this for months, even before his time at Aldera ended. He had heavily considered taking a gap year, just to get in that much more practice time. In the end, he decided against it.

He was starting to feel a bit of regret with that choice as he waited at the gates of U.A for the exam. He was waiting for Izuku, who had been training with All might, of all people, for the last few months. Part of Percy still refused to process the fact that All might himself was training his best friend. He was excited as hell for Izuku and was even more excited that his friend would now have a quirk to call his own. However, the fact still stood that Izuku had no experience whatsoever with the quirk, which concerned Percy significantly. If he remembered correctly, Izuku would have gotten the quirk mere moments ago. People were starting to stare at him, so he walked inside and waited near the doors instead. After a few moments, he saw Izuku coming towards him, his face redder than Percy had ever seen before.
"Did I… Miss something? Why do you look like you've been boiled?"

"N-no, nothing. Nothing at all."
"I'm just going to assume you had a minor interaction with a woman and move on. How ready are you?"

Izuku sputtered for a moment, before reorienting himself as they began to walk inside.

"Pretty well, I think. I'm ready for the written exam, for sure, but the physical portion..."
"You have the quirk, don't you? I had faith that you could do it even without that. Have faith in yourself. It'll work out."
"Well, I have the quirk, but I really don't know how to use it. How does it work for you?"

Percy pondered for a moment. How would he describe it?

"There's just a feeling, in your gut. For me it feels like I pull on it, to activate my quirk. I can't say if it's the same for everyone though. Plus, yours is a… unique case to begin with."

Izuku looked more and more nervous by the minute. Percy wrapped an arm around his neck and dug his knuckles into the top of his head.

"Calm the hell down salad head! You're the smartest person I know, and you've trained enough to get in purely on your own ability, even if you can't use the quirk. You've got this, I know you do."

Soon, they entered the hall for their written exam. With one last nod towards Izuku, Percy sat down for the longest 3 hours of his life.

'I think I passed. I hope I did anyways, it wasn't that bad but at the same time, it wasn't great. Can't be sure.'

Percy was mulling over his thoughts as the students were ushered into a large auditorium, with a stage in the middle. As Percy took his seat, he noticed Izuku, a row down from him, and Katsuki off to the side. There was some small chatter in the hall, but as a bright spotlight shone onto the stage a blonde man with a mohawk walked onto the stage. Present Mic: A Pro hero and teacher at U.A

"Welcome U.A Candidates! I hope you're ready for your practical exam! Can I get a HEEEY?"

Percy would later swear that he had never heard a room be that quiet in his life. If you told him he'd gone deaf, he'd have believed you. Unfazed, Present Mic continued onwards.

"Today, all you little listeners will conduct a 10-minute mock battle trial in one of U.A's advanced urban simulation arenas! Your assigned arenas are all on your examinee ID cards!"

Percy quickly glanced down at said card, noting he was in arena D.

"Now it's time for you to meet your foes!"

A large screen behind him, previously displaying the U.A Logo, flicked to a slide with 3 Machines displayed on it, each with a point allocation underneath it.

"As you can see, each fake villain has been given a point value based on their difficulty. Also, remember you're not allowed to attack your fellow contestants, that's a disqualification right away."

"Excuse me!" A man with blue hair and glasses shot to his feet, a few rows in front of Izuku. A spotlight moved to him,

"You have outlined 3 Machines here, however, the Brochure we were given has 4! If this is a misprint, it is a huge disgrace to U.A, being as prestigious an academy as it it is!"

Pretty sure you can see the stick up his ass from Jupiter but alright whatever floats his boat

For some reason when Percy thought about Jupiter, his head tingled. Strange, but he ignored it, moving to more important concerns, such as the fact that the man then whipped around and glared at Izuku.

"And you! You've been muttering and murmuring this whole time, it's very distracting and disrespectful to every student and staff at this institution!"

Izuku blinked twice, but didn't reply, which Percy supposed was a better outcome than panic.

"Alright, save some energy for the exam kid! As for the 4th Robot, it is worth exactly 0 points. It is meant purely as a distraction, so I recommend you ignore and bypass it!"

The blue-haired boy nodded vigorously "I understand! Pardon me for the interruption!"
He sat down, and Percy took a deep breath as they were dismissed from the hall. He looked at his ID card and found he was in arena 4. Izuku walked up to him and flashed his card, showing arena 1.

"Well, we split here then. Good luck shrub head, you got this!"

Izuku was slowly turning as green as his face, but Percy had faith. He had worked hard; he would be fine.

As they walked towards their arenas, Percy spotted Katsuki and ran over, smacking him on the shoulder

"How ya doing you overgrown bomb-omb?"

"You gotta stop playing those retro 1900's games, it's making you weird"

"Which arena you got? I'm in 4"

"Arena 2. Good luck with yours, you better get in, I need some competition in this place"
Percy dropped his head and chuckled.

"You realize this is the best college in Japan right? I'm going to assume that everyone who gets in will be competent, I'm sure there will be at least a few at our level."

"Nobody's at our level shitface. We're gonna be at the top one day, meaning we need to be the fucking best!"

"Alright cool it Pomeranian, take out some of that energy on the bots. Get cozy in second place for the entrance exam though, first is all me."
"You fucking wish!"

Percy walked off towards his arena, flipping his spiky-haired best friend a finger as he went.

So, Robo-murder sim huh? Should be good fun. Just hope this simulation area has water lines.

As soon as Percy got to the arena and the starting line, he could tell there were water lines. He could feel them stretching out all the way through the city, up into buildings even, much like a real-life plumbing system would. He was using this information to try and mentally map out the city before the test started, standing in the line with his eyes closed.

"Alright, GO!"

The voice was unmistakably that of Present Mic, so Percy shot off, opening his eyes as he did. He turned his head for a half second, seeing the other participants mostly confused. Good. It gave him a time advantage. He raised his right arm, blowing a water pipe underground as he did, launching a torrent of water up, and wrapping himself with it, before using his powers to more or less drag himself around, far faster than he could run. He found his first two machines, a 2 and 3-pointer. The 3-pointer fired a small pod of rockets at him as the 2 pointer rushed in with a large metal claw. Percy shot himself high above the two machines and used the water to block the missiles, catching them before hurling them into a wall. He landed on top of the three-pointer, which beeped in alarm before, with a roar, he pulled the rocket pod off its back, and flooded it, frying the complex electronics inside. The water then shot outwards in all directions for good measure, shredding the machine to bits as Percy jumped off of it, throwing the now useless launcher at the smaller 2-pointer, before he formed a mace out of the water, smashing in the bot's head from above, before he reshaped the water into a glove on his other arm, uppercutting the head clean off. Percy had discovered at some point during his training that he was far stronger physically than any human had any right to be. All might and Izuku theorized it was either part of his quirk or a secondary one. Percy didn't care much, as long as it got the job done. And it did, as evidenced by his proceeding to tear the claw-like limb off of a 1 pointer that had snuck up on the fight, and shoving it right back through its body

Observation room- Arena 4

"Damn, what about that one?"
"Jackson Perseus, Damn that's a name. Quirk- Ocean's Lord. Allows him a great degree of control over water, down to a molecular level. Also- What the fu- Also allows him to communicate with sea creatures?"

Midnight was taken aback by what she saw in the file, and judging by the looks of surprise on the faces around her, that was a surprise to others in the room just as well

"Well judging by what we're seeing it's safe to assume it also enhances his strength, by a lot. So this kid has, what, 3 quirks? The water control and strength are already pro-level, not to mention the sea creature communication would be, situational but useful as hell. This could have some potential"

Snipe was cut off by the laughter of the small, mouse-like figure of U.A Principal Nezu.

"We do have quite a few interesting selections here this year, don't we? If I recall correctly, we saw that this one is clearly friends with both the boy who one-punched a zero-pointer and the one that blew half his arena to shreds. Quite a power trio there, especially if they all do get in."

"And I have no reason to think this one shouldn't, especially with his-"Vlad winced as the boy in question used a chainsaw he had fabricated out of the water to cut his way into a three-pointer, before then using his hands to finish ripping it clean in half- "Creative use, of his ability."

"While his combat skill is certainly clear, now we throw in our little wildcard." Powerloader hit a switch on the large terminal before them, and all the teachers leaned back to watch the proverbial fireworks.

Percy was having fun. He was rarely able to let loose and destroy things, not as much as he could here, at least.

And it helped that these things could hit back, so much more fun than a dummy that didn't move. At this point, if he had counted right, Percy had racked up about 87 points.

A random three-pointer burst out of a window above him. Before it landed, Percy formed two gigantic fists out of the water, grabbed it, and pulled it apart. Make that 90.

Suddenly, the ground began to shake violently. Whipping his head around, Percy saw one of the massive Zero- point bots bearing down on the false city.

Alright, Fuck that

Even though Percy thought he had a decent chance at taking it down, he saw no reason to waste time or energy for absolutely no points. Then, however, he saw something that made him change his mind. From the part of the city, it had emerged from, two buildings had nearly collapsed. He saw several participants that had been cut off from the rest of the arena and were now stuck and about to get stepped on by the massive machine. His head snapped to the metal behemoth. It was built well, but he saw that the joints on its limbs were the best spot for him to get a hit in. Forming four daggers out of ice, he hurled them at the glowing spots on the zero-pointer's head, causing it to turn to him. He then gathered every bit of water he could feel within the region and pooled it under the ground below him. As the zero-pointer swung its arm downward at him, the water burst outward, catching the massive metal limb before it struck him, and pulling him out of the way as the water began to snake its way up the arm into the internal machinery. Percy grinned in satisfaction as he saw sparks begin to shoot out of the beast. He covered his feet in the water, and shot himself into the air, well above the zero-pointer, before using every drop of water he could feel to make a massive fist above his own. He swung it, and with a deafening screech, the zero pointer's head was torn off its body. Then a problem with his plan became evident. He was very tired. And very high up. As black began to creep into his vision and the water platform below his feet began to fall away, one last thought went through Percy's head.

Fuck.

Hey guys! I know it's been a while, and I'm sorry for that. As I mentioned in my chapter update for the Prince, I had midterms, which killed both my ability and then my motivation to write.
