Rising Potential
(West City, Fields) (Nighttime)
The Demons were making their way in their direction in the size of a small army. Their leader was remaining in the back and barking orders at them. Some took the flight approach and went up in the air while the remaining Demons were settling for charging forward. Rukido and Chronoa were still taking their time with their charge.
"They're taking to the air." Chronoa observed, annoyed. This entire attack was going to be a pain to deal with, but she believed she could handle it.
"Then you take care of them. You're bound to have more techniques than me that can do them." Rukido admitted while taking the lead. "We just need to take them down or wait for this to get noticed by the guard here. I can handle them down here."
Chronoa only nodded before flying straight up in the air to intercept the Demons. Upon reaching them, she flew right by them and slashed their chest wide open as blood sputtered out. While they fell, the Demons refocused their efforts on her instead. They fired a series of ki-blast at her as she twirled around and dodged them. In return she closed down to a group firing at her and extended her hand out.
"Lightning of Absolution!" A wave of purple lightning fired from her hand and soared through the group. Scorched from the inside out the Demons were quickly reduced to dust, along with several of their comrades behind them. It wasn't the end however as she swithly charged at the next group, her sword coated in lightning.
"Flashy, but practical." Rukido noted from below before taking note that he was surrounded. They were all jeering at him, but made no move to attack much to his annoyance. "Alright, let's get this over with."
In blinding speed, he rushed forward at the largest group and instantly broke through them. They went flying all over the place, but not without them soon being slammed into the ground and reduced unconscious. Rukido stood over them with a smirk before he noticed several demons hovering over him. They lunged down to attack only for the Saiyan to release a powerful aura around himself and blast them all away.
"Is that all?" Rukido questioned before something caught his attention. With his hand raised a flurry of ki-blast fired from it and out to the distance. Several Demons trying to sneak past were terminated with nothing left behind to show for it. "Don't you dare try to get past me."
Chronoa in the meantime closed the distance between herself and a group of Demons, beheading them quickly. A Demon rushed at her from behind with a battle-axe reeled back and ready to kill. The moment he swung it however, Chronoa had surprisingly grabbed it with her free hand and glared back at the Demon. He sweated at the glare until he noticed the bright light shining from her hand. A beam reduced him to dust while the Kai lowered her hand with a sigh. Setting her sights down below, her focus went on the leader of this attack.
He had yet to make a single move as of yet, watching as his people were quickly diminishing into nothing. No commands, no strategy, not a damn thing to actually help. Yet there was o doubt that they could not actually do anything against such a powerful man. The Leader was definitely suppressing his power currently, but she could work with that.
'If we can take him out, then the rest will be forced to either surrender or retreat.' Plan in motion, she held up her hand and formed a ball of ki in her hand. It would implode on impact and release a torrent of flames across the area. It may have left damage on the land, but it would at least deal with the threat at hand. "Back away Saiyan!" Rukido knocked out another Demon as he heard her and looked up. He nodded and quickly dashed away from the soon to be blast zone. A small blast that could resemble a small purple sun appeared in her hand before she threw it down. "Holy Light Grenade!"
The moment it left her hand it soared down below, enlarging greatly and generating more power. The Demons noticed this and started running away screaming, yet the Leader of all of this remained in place. He looked up at the ki-blast and scoffed at it, not making a single move at all. The blast ignited upon impact, incinerating anything it's path. Lesser Demons stood no chance, even higher class Demons were only able to last for a few seconds before falling as well. Once it faded, the flatlands could be seen scorched with residue left behind by the Demons. That and their Leader, standing perfectly in place with no damage done to him.
'Not even the least bit of damage.' Chronoa noted while gripping her sword with two hands. There was no point in using the same attack, least not yet. White energy engulfed her sword as she muttered. "Holy Inscription: Impact Edge."
"You're quite brave for attacking me little Kai. I would have thought someone as high and might as your kind would have no power backed behind their arrogance." The Demon snarked, letting out laughter. It annoyed her to no end, but remained alert for any sudden move. The Leader pointed his hammer up at Chronoa and spoke. "I am Gravy! High Commander of the 78th and the soon to be destroyer of Earth! All in the name of Lord Dubura! Your head will do well as a prize!"
He vanished in an instant and appeared behind Chronoa while swinging his hammer at her back. However she quickly spun around and blocked the incoming blow. Ki radiated off both of them as Gravy grinned and Chronoa glared before they jumped back from one another. The Demon held out his hand and fired a beam at the Kai. However it phased right through her as she vanished from his sight. She reappeared above a surprised Gravy and brought her sword down right when he brought his hammer up. He gritted his teeth, finding himself quickly overpowered and was sent flying to the ground. Chronoa chased down after him while Rukido watched from below.
"...No doubt about it. She can handle him as he is now." Rukido muttered. He would help, but judging by the fact that the remaining Demons were still out and about, he had to focus on them. 'Doubt I'll need to go out too far...though there definitely should have been someone able to sense this...all well.'
More fun for him.
Gravy in the meantime had finally recovered from the attack and looked up to see Chronoa closing in on him. Dashing backwards he managed to avoid the strike of the Kai and kept backing away to regain some control. In spite of that, she instantly closed in on him and unleashed a flurry of slashes. Gravy tried to block the incoming attack, but most of the attack easily struck him and tore through his armor.
"You damn-" A kick ramming through his armor sent him flying back. He dug his hammer into the ground to slow himself down, growling the entire time about the absurd level the Kai held. 'Damn it! They weren't even close to being this strong back in my day! Don't tell me I'll be forced to use my power against a Kai of all things!'
He wasn't allowed to continue his thoughts. Spotting Chronoa flying at him, while several wisp like ki-blast flew right by her. With his free hand, he quickly fired a large beam at her. She only narrowed her eyes and continued charging forward, instantly clashing the beam with her sword. The wisp in the meantime flew around the beam and shot towards Gravy, burning across his skin on impact. He lost focus and screamed from the pain while Chronoa pushed forward and brought her blade through his chest. It went straight through with no effort, much to Gravy's shock.
"You...damn bitch!" Gravy growled, blood spilling from his lip. He ripped himself away from the blade and stepped back, keeping his hammer in hand. He saw the focused look in her eye and glared at her for only a moment before he grinned. "F-fine! In that case, I'll just have to hit you even harder! Feel the power of Demonic Will!" Dark lightning crackled around him, his eyes turning red while red tattoo's grew alongside his face. His body grew only slightly while a dark aura appeared around him. "Witness the power of the Demon Realm!"
Chronoa merely brought her sword up and charged forward. She jabbed it forward rapidly to gain the advantage, but Gravy surprised her by actually dodging them all while backing away. Despite the ease the man showed dodging, he was also fully focused on doing so as well. At least that was until he opened his mouth and fired a wide ki-wave point blank range.
A scream escaped the Kai's mouth as she skipped across the ground before slamming on her back. Her blade had long since left her hands, lying a few feet away from her. Burnt marks could be seen across her skin and clothes while her hair was slightly messy from the impact.
"Didn't see that coming, did you!" Gravy yelled while walking over to her. His hammer was left behind and floating just above the ground. "I'll just need to beat you with my bare hands with power like this!"
'Bastard.' She really wished she considered a mouth beam from a Demon. Tricks were part of their style and it angered her greatly that she fell for it. Her hand held out, her sword came flying back into her hand once she stood back up and pointed it at him. "I won't lose to the likes of you!"
"HA HA HA! I like your spunk! I'll enjoy breaking your spirit along with your body when I'm done with you!" Gravy lunged forward at blinding speed with his hand outstretched. However he was suddenly kicked in the side of his head and sent skipping across the field.
Chronoa blinked in surprise until she realized Rukido was now standing in Gravy's place. "W-what you doing!"
"Relax, will you? Just heal yourself while I end this freak." Rukido said, walking over to where he kicked Gravy. "Besides, he's still holding back and I want to end him before he pulls something else so feel free to join in when you get the chance."
'Holding back? Maybe in that form, but if he has another.' Chronoa didn't even want to think about it. Instead she got to work on herself while focusing on the battle. 'He really took out all those Demons? I know Saiyans can have absurd power, but they normally work in groups despite their personality. I wonder how much he has?'
"HEY UGLY! Get up before I decide to kill you while you're faced down." Rukido announced, standing across the prone form of Gravy.
He didn't have to wait long, watching as the Demon stood up with a smirk on his face. He dusted himself off and crossed his arms. "Aren't you the powerful one? A Saiyan nonetheless too. I wonder how arrogant you are to face someone of my level."
"Your level? Please, don't start assuming that you're more powerful than me before I start going all out." Rukido said with an eye roll while assuming a stance. "Now, try to keep up with me. Otherwise it would get boring real quick."
"You foolish mortal! I am a High Commander and I shall-" He didn't get to finish upon suddenly being grabbed by the side of his head and tossed across the field. 'I didn't even see him move!'
Recovering from the throw, Gravy charged forward and met up with Rukido's fist with his own. They glared at one another for only a brief moment before Rukido pushed away and fired a ki-blast. The Demon crossed his arms and tanked the blast only being pushed back just a bit from the attack. Yet it left him wide open for Rukido to close in and harshly strike him across his face before kicking him straight up in the air.
Gravy was able to stop himself and formed two ki-blasts before tossing them down. However Rukido powered through them and forced the Demon into a clash. Both of them were throwing strikes and blocking each other's attacks.
"You can go faster than that, can't you!" Rukido yelled, throwing a swith kick into the Demon's stomach. However in return, he had a rather painful gut punch in his.
"Faster than you, Monkey!" Gravy snarled while opening his mouth to fire a beam. Unlike Chronoa however, Rukido expected it and fired a ki-blast just in time to hit the Demon's. The explosion forced them away from another before they recovered, their fight from from over. Lightning crackled over Gravy's body while he aimed his hands out and shouted. "Black Thunder: Lightning Strike!" A black streak of lightning shot forward and struck Rukido in his chest and stunned him in place. Gravy grinned madly and closed the distance, throwing multiple punches across the Saiyans while laughing all the while. "Yes! Yes! Feel the power of a Demon!"
Then his hands were grabbed out of nowhere. Shocked by this, Gravy fueled more power into himself to break himself free. However Rukido kept his grip tight and pulled him in close to headbutt the Demon's nose. Blood splattered and Gravy screamed while holding his face. The moment he pulled them away a foot smashed into his face right after and sent him flying backwards. Rukido flew right past him and implanted his feet deep into the Demon's back, sending him flying downwards. Chasing down after him, Rukido grabbed Gravy by the back of his head and slammed him face first on the ground.
"Aw what's the matter? Can the so-called High Commander not keep up?" Rukido asked mockingly. Upon feeling his power flare up, Rukido jumped away as an explosion of ki appeared from the Demon. Immediately he was forced to block a devastating blow that made him grunt from the pain inflicted. 'He's finally using his full power!'
Gravy let out a roar as he threw wild and rapid blows at the Saiyan, who was barely blocking them as they were. It wasn't long before Gravy started to gain the upperhand and began forcing Rukido back with every punch he landed upon him. One heavy swing sent the Saiyan flying backwards before the Demon suddenly closed in and kicked him down into the ground. With a ki-blast in hand, he held it over head before tossing it down on the Saiyan, blowing up impact. Not waiting for a moment, Gravy lunged down and began striking Rukido as he was down. He was glaring the entire time he was striking as well, not letting up with his punches filled his anger.
Then he saw Rukido smirk up at him, his eyes changing from onyx to a golden shade of yellow.
'What the?!' Old instincts kicked in and he quickly jumped back, distancing himself from the "downed" Saiyan as much as he could. "Why did I retreat like that?"
Then he heard laughter of all things and looked to see the Saiyan slowly floating up back on his feet. He could see it clearly now, the primal yellow eyes that held control and focus, starting right at him. The power influx in Rukido's ki had also been clear, multiplying from it's previous state.
"I gotta admit, I'm impressed. I didn't think I'd need to use this power, but I suppose it's only fair that you've been using your full power." Rukido said, a tint of yellow energy coating over him.
"And what power is that?" Gravy asked, snarling through his teeth. His hand waving behind his back, magic flowing through his finger tips.
"You when us Saiyans look up at the moon and change into a Great Ape? I use the advanced version of that form." Rukido said, sounding almost checky. From behind, Gravy's Hammer could be seen flying at the Saiyan's head at super speed. It would have struck if Rukido didn't throw his fist back and shattered the Demon's weapon in a single strike. "This is the power of a Great Ape in base form. I just call it Ikari though."
'I've heard of a rare number of Saiyans able to achieve that power, but only the current King of the Saiyans has actually mastered it.' Gravy thought angrily at the loss of his weapon. However he regained his confidence and gave the Saiyan a harsh smirk. "You must be a fool to believe that a basic power up can stand up to the likes of me!"
The Saiyan merely grinned before vanishing out of sight. Gravy glanced around, trying to get a read on where he had disappeared to. He never noticed Rukido appear right behind until the very last moment, turning around just to be smashed in the side of his head and sent bouncing back. He managed to recover and growl at the smirking Saiyan before charging forward.
The Demon sent various punches and kicks in the Saiyan's direction, but he was either blocked and dodged with every attempt made. The pure focus in the Saiyan's eyes was difficult to miss, reading Gravy's movements completely. It wasn't long until he decided to strike, swinging his arm across the Demon's head before unleashing his own strikes across his body. It ended it off with a harsh uppercut deep in Gravy's stomach, earning blood to splatter from his mouth.
Surprisingly however he managed to keep himself from falling over and forced his ki to push Rukido back. He then charged up in the air and began firing bolts of lightning down at the Saiyan in an attempt to strike him down. Rukido only vanished and reappeared for each lightning bolt that tried to strike him down. He appeared just above the Demon and began firing ki-blasts down. Gravy surprisingly didn't move and instead raised his hands up and formed a barrier to take the blasts. He smirked smugly, which quickly vanished upon Rukido charging in and breaking through the barrier and kicking his chest in.
He couldn't even make a sound as he was propelled downwards and hit the ground while Rukido landed across from him. Gravy picked himself and lunged forward once more, striking the Saiyan across his face before receiving one himself. Strike after strike landed on one another with no sign of either slowing down in their assault. Rukido was grinning the entire time, no doubt his natural battle hunger while Gravy was growling out of annoyance.
He couldn't believe that a Saiyan of all races was actually keeping up with his power. What was worse was that he was actually starting to get tired from his battle. The Kai alone was annoying and he could've overpowered her with ease, but with the Saiyan he was keeping up as though he was nothing. Him, a High-Class Demon, a part of Lord Dabura's Army? Losing!? No, he needed to get the upper hand!
'I...I don't want to lose!' Dark Ki suddenly radiated off the Demon, making Rukido jump away. He gave Gravy a curious eye upon seeing him hold his head while the energy seemed to grow more toxic.
"Tch." He wasn't gonna waste any time. Aiming a hand up, he fired a full powered ki-wave at Gravy and consummed him whole in the blast. He didn't sense anything for a moment, wondering if that had done it. However an explosion of flames was his answer, making his guard come back up. 'Should've guessed he had another power up!'
As they faded, Gravy could be seen with his skin completely purple and his eyes glowing red with yellow iris. Black, bat-like wings could be seen sprouted from his back along with a long demonic looking tail with a purple flame on it. Finally he had rather long white hair now leading from his head, appearing a bit more out of place than expected.
"This Power...Demonic Will's Evolution!" Gravy announced, crackling loudly.
"Evolution?" Rukido muttered, taking note of it. He didn't have any time to think about it once he was suddenly struck in his chest and forced back. 'SHIT!'
"I have finally gained the power that Lord Mechikabura had gifted our kind so long ago! Oh what a joyous occasion!" Gravy declared, throwing punches covered in flames at the Saiyan. With how fast Gravy had gotten, Rukido was having more than a hard time dealing with him now. "Do you feel it?! That crushing weight upon your soul? That's me! The Pride of all Demon kind shall overtake you and this world!"
"I sincerely doubt that!" Rukido yelled, exploding his ki and blasting Gravy back. The Demon stopped himself rather easily and flew straight up where Rukido was seen throwing a kick down at him.
Catching his leg, Gravy held in place as he pumped lightning through the Saiyan's body, earning a rather painful growl in return. Forcing his energy out at once, Rukido ripped himself away from the Demon's grip and sent a roundhouse into his neck. This didn't affect the Demon in the slightest, giving a smug smirk while Rukido backed himself away. Gravy on the other hand opened his mouth and released a wide stream of flames that took up the sky. Flying out the flames, Rukido could be seen with a slight barrier around himself and allowed the fire to fade off him. Unfortunately he never noticed Gravy come close, getting struck down on his head and slammed straight into the ground.
Gravy descended from the air and landed over the Saiyan with his hand raised. He was about to fire a blast before he suddenly lifted his hand up and caught Chronoa's blade in his palm. He smirked up at the Kai until she used her free hand and placed it on the other side of her blade. "Flames of Retribution!"
A wide stream of fire bursted from the sword and managed to force the Demon a good distance away. This allowed Rukido to finally get up and take note of the Kai standing defensively in front of him. Managing to walk up next to her, they glared ahead to see the Demon calmly walking towards them, keeping his wicked grin on his face.
"A Saiyan and a Kai working together. How laughable is this!" Gravy crackled out, his aura growing around him. Rukido and Chronoa looked at each other briefly before they finally charged forward.
The Saiyan took the lead, closing the distance and slamming a ki-blast directly in Gravy's face. He jumped over the Demon and rammed his foot into the back of his head while Chronoa fired a powerful bolt of Lightning in his stomach. Both quickly jumped away as the aura ignited into flames, forcing them to fly straight up in the air with Gravy following right after them.
He moved to grab the Kai's leg, but Rukido blindsided him with a tackle. Gravy grabbed him by his head while charging an attack within it, but his arm was soon stabbed by Chronoa, who held out her hand and fired a wave of Lighting. While painful, it didn't seem to phase the Demon as he blasted the Saiyan away. Chronoa tried to escape as well, but flames flew out of Gravy's mouth and hurled her back. A small barrier presented itself around her, but it quickly shattered upon Gravy grabbing her neck.
Chronoa gasped for air before forcing herself to focus. Feeling his movements restricted, Gravy saw the glowing blue eyes of Chronoa as he was slowly forced to let go of her. Fluxing his ki around himself, he broke free from the restrictions and fired a beam from his mouth. It would've struck her if Rukido didn't suddenly push past her and fired his own beam. While the two were struggling to overpower each other, Chronoa joined Rukido in the attack and fired her own blast. Their attacks combined and suddenly overpowered the Demons while catching him in the explosion. Remaining on guard, they waited to see if the attack had done anything until they were suddenly grabbed by their head and tossed into the ground.
As soon as he landed, a boot was slammed into Rukido's stomach, making blood splatter from his mouth. He glared up at the smirking Gravy, trying to force his leg off to no avail. Chronoa managed to recover and summoned several green wisp before charging forward. The wisps flew past her and combined together in a larger wisp that flew forward. Gravy saw this and stopped the attack with one hand, laughing all the while.
"Is this what you have left?" Gravy asked mockingly. "Maybe if you were good enough you would of-GAH!"
Rukido took the chance to charge up a beam and fired directly into the Demon's eye, destroying it. He of course was given a harsher stomp for it, but it was all that Chronoa needed. The large wisp suddenly transformed into a stream of energy that soared around the Kai's sword, adding on a powerful green glow to it's blade.
"Holy Inscription: Kairos Severance!" The moment she closed in on him, she released a powerful wave of energy. It slammed into Gravy, pushing him off Rukido and blasting him backwards. It swarmed over the area and seemingly consumed the demon compelty. She quickly joined up by Rukido's side, concern on her face as he began getting up. "Are you okay?"
"I...could use some healing. That demon is tougher than I thought." Rukido admitted while wiping some blood off his mouth before giving her a grin. "That was some attack though, nice work."
"Well I am a Kai, we can't risk being weak." Chronoa said proudly. Admittedly she was very flustered by the comment, but she hid it very well. She would have said more, but soon felt Gravy's ki and growled. Rukido noticed it as well and glared ahead. "He's still alive after that?!"
The Saiyan didn't respond, choosing to focus in on where Gravy was at. The Demon soon came into sight, having a large gash across his chest that was currently smoking. Overall he wasn't pleased in the slightest. He formed an energy spear, filled to the brim with energy before he tossed it at blinding speeds at the Kai.
Chronoa raised a barrier to protect herself, but Rukido pushed her out of the way as the spear pierced through. It struck his stomach and blew up, blood gushing out all over the grass as he kneeled down.
"RUKIDO!" Chronoa howled out, completely horrified.
"D-damn it." Rukido snarled while his eyes reverted back to normal. Chronoa was right behind him, hands against his back as she began healing him.
"Why did you do that?!" Chronoa asked, concerned. She knew the answer, her barrier had failed obviously, but she wouldn't have expected him to just take the attack.
"Seems like I got one down for the count! You should have picked your battles better, Saiyan!" Gravy yelled, his glare remaining planted on his face. He had truly hated these two for delaying his plans to ruin the Hero Festival, but it didn't matter now. "Now you and the Kai will die here with no hope of ever being found! Your last day of survival ends here!"
"What...an idiot." Rukido managed to get out. He slowly, but surely forced himself to stand up straight, trying to ignore the pain flowing through his body. "If he thinks I'm dying here, then he has another thing coming."
"You can't win in this condition. Much less fight." Chronoa scolded while healing him. She was wondering where, well anyone was! Not everyone couldn't be ignorant of the battle taking place.
"Doesn't matter. I promised myself to focus on living rather than just surviving the moment I got here. Dying isn't much of an option." Rukido said, grinning madly as he focused solely on Gravy. "Besides, we agreed to this fight so it's our responsibility to see it through."
She looked at him surprised by how much he was willing to keep the fight going. Maybe it was just his Saiyan instinct that was doing it, but it wasn't for something selfish either. Even as she was healing him, she could feel his desire to win was all for pure intentions. Something she wouldn't have expected from anyone else she met on this planet so far.
"...Stand still."
"What?"
"Just stand still!" Chronoa ordered her hands planted firmly on his back. She took a deep breath before channeling Magic between them. A bright white aura surrounded them while a faint purple light coated them. While Rukido looked surprised by this, Chronoa remained focused on her task. 'Universe watch over us as I enact the unleashing of this man's potential. May our power be used not only for your benefit, but for all those that may come our way so we may protect them from the evil that courses outwardly. With this promise, I follow through with this release of power!'
The two were soon engulfed by a bright light, shooting straight up in the air and spreading out. Power radiated from the beam as Gravy tried to stand his ground only to find himself blasted back by the intense aura. It overloaded his mind to the point where he had to cut all connection in sensing their energy. It was extremely overwhelming on his part, even to the point where he couldn't gaze in the light.
"Damn it! I won't take this lying down!" Gravy forced himself straight up in the air. With his hands up, energy swarmed above them in the form of fire and electricity. "I don't care anymore! In the name of Lord Dabura, I will destroy this world! No matter who stands in my way by any means necessary!" He casted the ball of power down at the spear of light, pouring as much power as he could into the attack. It struck the light, attempting to power through it until it dwindled into nothing out of nowhere. Gravy could only look on in horror before aggressively shaking his hand while clenching his fist in pure, rare anger. "NO! NO! NO! NOT TO TWO LOWLY BRATS!"
Energy poured out of him and swirled into a single fist. Screaming in both pain and anger, he flowed as much power as possible within it, forcing it to grow and become irregular. His entire arm had grown to the point where it had completely shadowed over his entire body, coated in dark flames with sparks of red lightning. Despite this, he managed to fly straight up in the air with it before stopping. With a powerful roar, Gravy charged down at the bright light with the full intent to not only kill the two warriors who faced him, but to also pierce through the earth itself and destroy the core. It didn't matter if he lost his life, his story would be told for generations for eradicating the Galactic Patrol's main headquarters. He reached the light and went deep inside it.
A fatal mistake was made.
Instantly his body was set ablaze from the dominating force of energy. His remaining armor was reduced to ash, leaving nothing left to protect him. Even with all the power placed in his arm, it was overpowered the moment he forced his way in and was barely hanging. Yet the worst part came in the form of Gravy's mind. He involuntarily sensed the ki and felt it overload within, causing fear and panic to settle in at long last.
"Not...Not like...li-" Gravy couldn't even finish his last words before he was diminished into nothing. As he did the light faded, revealing both Rukido and Chronoa still standing in place.
"W-what did you do!" Rukido yelled, looking down at his hands in shock. He could feel the insane rise in his ki, easily overlapping his Ikari form by centuries. "It...it doesn't even feel like I've even transformed either! This is still my base power!"
"Y-yeah, it's certainly...overwhelming." Chronoa wasn't just referring to him. She too had gained a significant increase in power. She certainly wasn't expecting so much thanks to the Saiyan, but she was proved wrong clearly. 'I know my own power is supposed to increase depending on whoever I choose, but this...this is so much!'
"With this, the Demon doesn't stand a chance." Rukido declared before he blinked. "Actually...I can't sense him. Can you?"
"No, not at all." Chronoa said, confused. "Did he run off?"
"You'll be quite happy to know that you two eliminated him with your light show." Both of them jumped at the voice before turning around to see Toppo, offering them a wide smile. On his head was Tokitoki, who had flown over and landed on Chronoa's arm. "It was impressive to say the least."
'Our aura alone wiped him out!' Chronoa thought in shock before a realization came over her. "Wait, were you watching the whole time?!"
"Of course!" Toppo said jolly-like and gave a thumbs up.
"You could have at least faked guilt." Chronoa muttered, annoyed.
"I had a feeling we were being watched. Hard for a battle like that to go unnoticed." Rukido said, not bothered in the slightest. "Glad you didn't step in though, it's been a while since I had properly fought someone. Though I do feel like you owe us something for not jumping in."
"A fair statement, one you will be allowed to make yourselves on another day." He wrapped his arms around them, laughing out for anyone to hear. "Now come! We have a Festival to enjoy!"
He pulled the two away from the scene, already writing the report in his head. Chronoa glanced briefly at Rukido and sent him a soft smile.
'I may not know much about you so far, but I think we'll make good partners for one another. I'm glad.' Chronoa thought happily. All the while unaware of her iris had changed briefly. Her left yellow and her right purple.
Regardless, an event has transpired and the future is now being built, for better or for worse.

A/N: So this was actually meant to be done sooner, but certain things caught my attention and so I put my focus into that instead. This is a habit, one that I break eventually. For now, let's talk about today's chapter.
Guess the most important parts are Rukido and Chronoa. More specifically, what they currently have. Rukido, I choose not to give any specific techniques at all because I honestly do find it unlikely that EVERY saiyan is gonna have a technique like Riot Javelin or Galick Gun. So by all means all he has is firing ki-blasts and his natural brute strength. He'll learn techniques later on, I promise. It is a staple of the series after all. To make him not helpless in that, I've given him Ikari/Wrathful/Great Ape in Human Form, what you like to call it. Consider it an advancement to the Great Ape Transformation and something known about, so any Saiyan can achieve it if they have a centered amount of control.
On the flipside, Chronoa has a various amount of skills via more of Magic than ki for right now. And yes, I did give her moves that are from Fused Zamasu and Zamasu in general, but the Kais don't have a lot of techniques as is and I can't use her normal moves. There is no Kai of Time, so the powers of Space and Time are NOT part of her arsenal of techniques. There will be more for her to show.
When it comes to Potential Unleash, I feel like I need to mention this again, but it is NOT A transformation here. It is a power booster, as it should be. And just so we are clear, every warrior in the Hero Festival gets the same thing and those a part of the Frieza Force have Demonic Will as their version of Potential Unleash. Just wanted to make that clear again...even if there is a chance people don't read A/Ns.
Finally is Gravy...I won't lie, I just needed a throw away character to use. I don't hate nor like him, which made it perfect for me to just use it as the reason for Chronoa to use the ritual. And get wiped out because of it. It may depend on someone's potential on how much power comes out, but it's safe to say that it's well over 400x like it is for Gohan here. So...yeah, that was Gravy.

Ushindi: What an amazing chapter! The history of the Kai's, Demons and the Mortals is fascinating. This new Universe is awesome and who knows what other exciting things are going to be discovered. Jiren and Toppo being joining the Galactic Patrol, that's not suprising since those two do fight for justice, and I'm excited to see other characters that were from past Universe also be revealed in this new Universe.
Galactic Patrol vs Cold Empire along with the Kai's and Demons supporting their allies is a perfect good vs evil match. Makes sense for Agios to be the ruler of the Realm of Kai's, plus she's quite a stern, strong, wise but kind Kai which makes any Kai follow her. Dr Brief becoming King of Earth, suprising but makes sense as well, he's a genius and good with noble intentions to help his family and the people of Earth. Rukido and Chronoa are sure going to have a fun adventure.
1. Since the Saiyan's of this new Universe haven't been nearly extinct thanks to Frieza, does it means that Goku won't be on Earth but instead with his family?
2. Got a name for this one big Universe?
3. What about the Gods of Destructions and the Angel?
Answers: Glad I handled making the lore for this good. I was honestly worried, but I guess it was all for nothing. The adventures in this world will be...interesting to say the least.
1: The Goku of this World will be revealed soon enough and you'll have your answers then.
2: Just the Universe. It doesn't need a special name or anything like that. Mostly because I'm only having one infinite and vast Universe.

I also love how you have the Kais supporting the Galactic Patrol and the Demons supporting the Cold Empire. I wonder what you're going to do with the Potential Unleash ritual. Is the Saiyan's ancestral home Planet Vegeta or Planet Sadala? Is Rukido going to join the Galactic Patrol? Will Chronoa going to choose Rukido for the Potential Unleash ritual? These are just suggestions since this is your story and you can write it however you want.

Messiah of authors: I really like how you set up this chapter. It feels like a really great introduction to the world I like when people can just lay back and just let us see what the world has become I just don't like it when people try to rush things like that.
And trust me I can completely understand your frustration with the Dragon Ball super manga trust me a pisses me off to. But I'll be honest I still have High hopes why? because I am an optimist.
But does that mean you won't be doing your other dragon ball story? I hope not because I really like that story.
