Back in the Demon Realm and at the Owl House, Hooty was busy doing some daily hooting. "Hooty hoot! Hooty hoot! Hooty hoot hoot!" Hooty sighed. "Man, I wish that hand didn't look delicious. But Hooty, that's Lulu's hand." Hooty began crying again. "Why do I wanna eat Lulu's hand?! Why would I wanna eat my best friend?!"
Then, Hooty heard knocking from inside the house. "Hey Hooty, be quiet!" Emira demanded. "Grime's still listening to the hand!"
"Sorry! I just don't have any company outside!" Hooty yelled. Edric, already getting annoyed, then used some illusion magic to make an illusion of a swarm of flies. "Oh my gosh, a swarm!" Hooty tried eating the flies but couldn't seem to get a bite out of them for some strange reason. "Hey, why can't I eat them?!"
"Now, why didn't I think of that?" Gus asked himself as he played with tiny illusions of himself.
After the Hexside, the students had arrived at the Owl House to find out more information about what was going on with Luz and the others. While they waited, Edric was busy sketching some ideas he had for fireworks, Emira was adjusting a necklace on her neck, Gus had flicked one of the tiny illusions while Willow was busy doing some push-ups while counting to herself. "23…24….25….26…27….28…29."
They were waiting for Grime to get more information out of the possessed hand which was tapping on the glass it was encased in.
Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Eda was busy looking through a photo album of her and Raine during their younger days.
There was a picture of Eda and Raine taking a selfie during their Hexside years while Raine blushed, then there was one marked 'first date' which had the two of them sharing some ice scream together, then there was one marked 'first kiss' which had the two of them kissing, then there was a picture of her in her twenties laughing at an orb while a terrified twenty something Raine was holding on to her and there was a picture of Eda running along the beach putting on her dress while Raine followed behind with a gown covering themselves while Lilith was chasing them on her Palisman.
Eda laughed. "I should have done it at the Owl House."
"That beach day incident?" Lilith asked as she walked in, adjusting some new circular specks.
"Where did you get those dorky glasses?" Eda asked.
"I had to find a pair due to my eyesight fading." Lilith replied. "Is this the curse or am I just getting old?"
"Well, I haven't lost my eyesight." Eda replied. "Though, I do get sleepy most of the time but that's down to all the apple blood in my system."
Lilith began looking at the pictures and chortled. "I can't believe I found both you and Raine naked."
"I can't believe you gave me and Raine one minute to put our clothes on." Eda retorted.
"The scouts were approaching." Lilith explained.
"So you said." Eda sniffled. "I just got back with them. Why did they need to be taken away?"
"Edalyn, it's just a cruel twist of fate." Lilith said.
"I lost Raine." Eda cried. "Luz and King are on Earth. Alive yet I don't know how long King is gonna survive even with Luz around him and now the one person who I ever felt a romantic connection to, is gone!" Eda continued to sob.
"I wish me and Grime could have stopped them." Lilith said.
"You couldn't have done it." Eda closed her book and continued sobbing. "I….I….I should have been with them! I should have been with them Lilith! I could have saved them."
"Edalyn, it's not your fault." Lilith assured her sister. "Even if you did come, Raine probably would have still been kidnapped by Darius and Eberwolf."
"Least I'm grateful it isn't Terra Snapdragon." Eda said.
"Oh yeah, that woman is the worst." Lilith said. "Don't worry Eda, we're going to get Raine back. We got them once, why can't we do it again?"
Eda smiled. "Yeah. I just hope they're at the Conformatorium. Warden Envy's gonna be quite disappointed if that's the case."
"They won't be at the Cleanatorium because Envy's skeleton was found floating in the Boiling Sea." Lilith replied.
"Oooooh."
"Clawthornes!" Grime yelled. "The hand has a new message."
Eda and Lilith ran into the living room to hear what the hand has said to Grime, Edric and Emira looked like they were paying attention, Willow had stopped her workout, Gus sat up while Hooty just slammed himself open.
"Guys, a swarm of flies I tried eating just vanished into thin air." Hooty said.
"Quiet Hooty." Edric requested.
"What does it say?!" Eda asked.
Grime flicked the paper and coughed. "You wish to know about your girls, don't you? Well, Sasha and Luz are currently in Amphibia." Grime smiled. "She made it! Haha! She finally made it! That's my girl! That's my girl!"
"Grime!" Eda interjected. "Focus."
"Right. They're in Amphibia to stop Andrias. But not just Luz and Sasha; The Plantars, Anne, Dipper, Pacifica, Hunter and Amity."
"Wait, the golden brat's working with them?!" Lilith interjected.
"Why?" Eda asked. "What game is he playing?!"
"No game apparently." Grime replied.
"And Mittens is in a land of frogs with her girlfriend?!" Edric asked.
"That land of frogs is my home." Grime said.
"I didn't it as an insult." Edric argued.
"As I was saying, but you should probably worry about Luz because she has the powers of the Calamity box, same as Sasha?!" Grime exclaimed. "What?! Eda, since when did your kid have powers?!"
Eda froze at this information whilst Willow, Gus, Hooty, Lilith and the twins were equally shocked. "She never had. Why should I worry about Luz having powers?! Does it hurt her?! Is she slowly dying?!"
"Hang on! Hang on!" Grime interjected. "There's more! Luz can't control these powers however as it causes her to be possessed by something else entirely due to her emotional stress. But since I need to be at least honest here, your little human brat has gone to see someone who could help named Mother Olm. Nothing much to go on until the next time because in two days time, I will be out of that human's belly if that pregnancy test doesn't come out as negative."
"Good thing Mittens is a body exorcist." Emira remarked.
"Never mind about that human!" Eda exclaimed. "Luz is…Oh Titan! She has powers she can't control! Oh Luz, how ever you got them, please don't get hurt."
"Is this a human thing?" Gus asked. "And what is a calamity power?"
"It's not a human thing." Grime replied. "When Luz went through the box, it must have gifted her those powers that were meant for Marcy, which were drained from her during one of the temple missions. Anne and Sasha have also been gifted with them."
Eda on the other hand, was busy drinking her elixir to prevent from the Owl beast taking full control of her. "Oh no! What do I do?! What do I do?! Luz is another world with powers she can't control! Oh Amity, you better be calming her down!"
"Eda, why don't we sit down?" Grime suggested.
Lilith and Willow gently held her by the wrists. "Maybe some turn off your brain junk could help." Willow said.
"How's about Fiends?" Lilith suggested. "What wacky shenanigans are Changler and Goss up to this time?"
Eda sighed. "Yeah. I could watch some Fiends, actually. I hope they show the One Where Everyone Doesn't Find Out."
"Yeah, that one's a classic." Gus agreed as he grabbed the remote.
"Eh, I'm more of a Sighfeld gal." Emira said.
"Oh, how about The Small Bang Theory?" Edric asked.
"That show gets unfunnier the more I watch an episode." Eda said. "I swear if I see the one where Burnahett shows Coward that creepy puppet, I will throw this orb out of here! That frustrates me and nothing will frustrate me more!"
Gus switched on the orb, revealing some flashing images. "Tonight at 7 o'clock! It's the Coven Day Parade!"
Eda groaned. "Aahhhh! This frustrates me more!"
"I'm sorry, the what?" Grime asked.
"The annual Coven Day Parade." Gus replied. "Something the Emperor's Coven puts together."
"They have floats, streamers, fireworks…"
"Oh, it's just a fancy way to kiss the emperor's ass!" Eda interjected.
"Can't argue with that." Edric said.
"Yeah, can't think of anyone better for that title than mom." Emira remarked.
"I'm gonna change the channel." Eda said.
"Wait, shouldn't we keep it on just in case?" Grime asked. "There could be some info."
"Like I said Grime, a fancy way to kiss the emperor's butt!" Eda said. "I'm gonna change it to Fiends."
"Joining the parade is the recently reformed Raine Whispers." Eda froze at the mention of her ex being dubbed, recently reformed, that she lowered the remote before she could change it.
"Okay Grime, you're on to something." Eda said.
"As some of you may know, Raine Whispers was affiliated with the Owl Lady by breaking out of the Cleanatorium, the murder of Warden Envy, the disappearance of Terance Fischer and a list of other things that we don't wish to mention since this is a commercial! But it's not just Raine Whispers. The gorgeous head of the Abomination, Darius Demonne; The psychotic head of the Plant Coven, Terra Snapdragon; The fabulous head of the Illusions Coven, Adrian Graye; And many more! Plus, showing up for the first time via illusion magic, Emperor Belos will reveal his face and tell us more about this mysterious, Day of Unity. Remember folks, 7 PM. It could be your last chance."
The commercial ended and cut to The Small Bang Theory. "We know return to, The Small Bang Theory. In this episode, Burnahett shows Coward a creepy puppet."
"Nope!" Eda picks up the orb and throws it out the window.
Yunan entered the house with some shopping bags in her hand. "Woah, you would not believe what's going on in town. Apparently they are having some kind of pa-"
"Yunan, I got it." Grime interjected.
"Yeah, he's already had his exposition." Edric said.
"What is Rainestorm doing?" Eda asked. "I should have sent the spy I had to find out. I hope they're okay. But, how do I rescue them?"
"Sneak in as a Coven guard?" Emira suggested.
"Nah, too risky." Eda said.
"Swoop in as Harpy Eda." Willow suggested.
"They'll be after me instantly."
"Harpy Eda?" Edric asked.
Eda turned into harpy mode. "Harpy Eda."
Emira whistled. "Wow, that is a hot look."
"Honestly, this plan sounds like is going to take a lot of planning." Eda said. "Like really strategic. Like military strategic. It's gotta be the most wild yet dangerous plan ever."
Yunan raised a hand instantly. "How about you stage a kidnapping?"
Eda sighed. "Yunan, it's a good plan…"
"Buuuuut, in order to grab Raine we cause a distraction." Yunan said.
Eda stopped herself and raised a curious eyebrow. "Indulge me."
Phase 1: Mapping.
"Someone will enter Bonesborough to get information about the guards and how far the parade reaches. Now, it can't be Lilith or Eda so the best choice will have to be…."
Grime enters the town of Bonesborough dressed in a fancy suit, wearing a fake brown beard and wearing some glasses. "Uh, why did I need to wear this, Yunan?" Grime walked up towards one of the guards, who stopped him.
"Hold it sir, this street is off limits till tomorrow." The guard said.
"Sir, I am the inspector." Grime replied as he pulled out a piece of paper. "I need to make sure this parade is in proper condition and to make sure we have enough soldiers to keep these people safe."
The guard inspected the badge and gave a small nod. "Seems in order. Go right on in sir. Is there anyone in particular you wish to talk to?"
"May I talk to Raine Whispers?" Grime asked.
"They're just down there." He replied.
"Thank you." Grime said before walking towards where Raine was.
When he reached them hanging by one of the floats, he was surprised to see that Raine was okay. They appeared to be chatting to that little demon known as Kikimora while an wrinkled lady with ivory skin, long green hair that resembles plant matter, pale violet eyes and wearing dark green lipstick. She wore a purple dress that is banded by yellow-green plant vines, two green thorny bracelets on her wrists, a red-and-yellow lily crown on her head and what appear to be boots made of vines was handing them a drink.
They drank the cup of the mysterious liquid just as Grime had just approached the bunch. "This year's Coven Day Parade is going to be exciting, isn't it?"
"Oh yes, I could kill someone I am so excited!" The woman exclaimed. "But unfortunately, we had to outlaw murder because it hurts people or whatever the reason."
"Ah, one with a killer instinct." Grime remarked. "Probably why I don't wish to talk to you."
"And who are you supposed to be?" Kikimora asked.
"Oh, where are my manners?" Grime pulled out a blank piece of paper and showed it to the three. "Grimothy Baker, surprise safety inspector."
"An inspector?" Raine reacted.
"I wasn't informed." Terra said.
"Nor was I." Kikimora said as she eyed the so-called inspector, suspiciously.
"Have you looked up what surprise meant?" Grime asked.
"Well…I…I…I…I…I…I don't know how to…"
"Another one I don't wish to talk to." Grime said. "How about you, Whispers, was it? How about you give me a tour?"
"I wish I could but…." Raine cringed. "…..minor migraines and the fact I need to practice."
"It's only a minor migraine." Grime said. "If I don't get a tour of this parade than I will have no choice but to shut it down."
"Can't we have some collateral damage?!" Terra asked angrily.
"Ma'm, we can't!" One of the guards declared. "Because if we don't then family members could be suing."
"Uh, why did we need to establish some kind of order here?" Terra sighed. "Raine, show this toad demon around."
"It's okay, I can get someone else." Raine said.
"Me!" Said a obnoxiously flamboyant voice that made Raine groan. A fairly tall and thin witch with light skin, pointed ears, cornflower eyes, thick eyebrows, curled dark turquoise hair and a a long prehensile dark teal tail with a tan fur tuft at the end walked from one of the floats. "I feel as someone with a talent for order and proper stage direction would be perfect to show the inspector around."
"Well I was gonna go with Raine…"
"Why?" Adrian asked. "They're not a director like mw'a over here. You should have seen how they bombed on Rats. Stage fright apparently." Raine narrowed their eyes at Adrian angrily. "Now, move aside Raine, let a professional guide this toad."
"Funny, I was going to suggest you, but then you insulted my talents." Raine retorted. "Darius!"
Then, from a nearby tavern, Darius exited looking annoyed. Grime narrowed his eyes at the witch, whom was busy on his scroll. Last time Grime met him, it wasn't pretty. He clogged his toilet, he threatened to put his drool-filled finger on him and even placed a power cancelling collar on him.
"What is it?" Darius asked. "I was having some me-time."
"Could you give the safety inspector a tour?" Raine asked. "He wants to make sure everything is up to speed."
"Now no matter what, don't make anyone suspicious."
Raine gave Darius an eye motion, causing the head of the Abomination Coven to sigh. "Fine. You don't mind me giving you the tour, mr inspector?"
"Not at all." Grime replied as he gritted his teeth at the man.
"Follow me." Grime began to follow Darius whom was eyeing his Coven members.
"Uh, this is just some dung." Adrian groaned. "Darius isn't much of a director compared to me. He is just someone who doesn't have time for anyone except himself."
"Adrian my little sprout, please shut up." Terra requested.
During the walk, the uncaring Darius lead Grime down the street where Grime was busy making notes. "Now, the parade will start here outside the Overhooked Inn and end outside the Emperor's palace where Belos will make his speech about the Day of Unity. Which between you and me, is rather suspicious. We are also upping our soldiers who are looking for D. Ricti Beth GL. They're someone who have been selling illegal fireworks around these parts and we somehow miss them."
"Uh huh, and what about the guards? How well armed are they?" Grime asked.
"We have a small number guarding the roof tops and a huge number monitoring the streets." Darius replied.
"And what about the floats…" He walks up to Eberwolf's float and begins touching it. "….They better be in good condition. Because, the safety of a Coven head is as important as a member of the public."
Darius smiled. "Thank you. I'm glad my safety means as much to you. Also, we make sure that our bathrooms are clean, especially my bathroom which I need to remind you is rather private."
"Ooookay." Grime grinned. "I should do it again before I leave."
"Sorry, sir?" Darius asked.
"Nothing. Just making notes." Grime replied as he wrote 'invade jerk's private bathroom, again.'
Darius then walked down an ally and began to dig through his pockets. "Listen, I don't know how long you need to be here to ruin my me-time so how's about we make this quick?" Darius then pulled out a scroll and handed it to Grime. The toad opened it to see a map of Bonesborough, telling where the parade will go and where each guard is being positioned. "Just mark this as a pass and get out. You'll definitely need this." Darius walked away to have his me-time.
Grime smiled, knowing his mission has been a success. "Better go back to the Owl House. But first."
Later, Darius walked into his private bathroom and closed the door. Then, he screamed angrily. "Are you kidding me?! Not again!"
Phase 2: The Tools and weapons.
"Okay, next we need a huge distraction. Stuff like fireworks, illusions and a parade float to keep the ground guards distracted."
"Don't worry, I know a guy."
Edric and Emira walked down an ally where Edric walked to a crate. "I don't know Ed, are you sure we should be buying fireworks from D. Ricti Beth GL?"
"Trust me, I know him." Edric assured his sister. He knocked on a crate that turned into a stand and got behind it before putting on a trench coat. "Hi, D. Ricti Beth GL, how can I take your order?"
Emira stared at her brother, unimpressed. "Your D. Ricti Beth GL? Wow, I should have figured it out. Because, someone would know that name is fake."
"Well, how do you explain why I have always been hard to find?" Edric retorted.
Emira sighed. "Still fake. Okay Edric, what have you got for me?"
Edric smiled smugly. "Who's Edric? Sounds like a cool guy."
Emira groaned. "Come on, Edric. Stop playing around. You know me."
"My name isn't Edric."
Emira sighed. "Fine! D. Ricti Beth GL, what do you have for me?"
Edric dug for a small firework. "This is a blank one. You can essentially write whatever you want on it, such as Edric is cool, Edric is handsome or hi, I'm Edric. Here's my number."
Emira sighed. "Anything else?"
"I also got Loud Ones." Edric replied. "The name speaks for itself. Plus, this is one of my favourites.' He pulled out a big firework. "Ed Ricochet 11. That's how many times I was sent to the Healing Coven."
"Wow." Emira remarked. "Ricti, are these fireworks legal?"
"Would that make you more or less interested in buying them?"
Emira pondered the question till later, she began carrying some fireworks, chuckling. "Oooooh! I wish mittens' awesome girlfriend could see me now."
Then, Eda, Gus and Hooty in Porta mode were buying some potions from Morton at his stand. "Thanks Morton." Eda said.
Hooty then slithered up to the stand and regurgitated some money, a dead animal skeleton and a skull of a witch, which caused the young witch some discomfort. "Keep the change!"
Meanwhile, Willow was using her plant magic to help lift a part of the parade float, which happened to be an arm. While Grime was hammering in some nails to make sure the float didn't fall apart. He tried climbing up the effigy of someone and tried to hammer in a nail in one of its horns.
The toad Captain then fell and got caught by Owlbert, whom turned to staff mode as fast as they could. Grime then realised that he wasn't heavy under Owlbert and so did the Palisman.
"So, I am too heavy, eh?" Grime asked the Palisman while narrowing his eyes at him.
Eda returned with a sack of potions in her hand and gently placed them down. "Let's go over the plan one more time. Gus and Hooty will pilot the float during the parade. Once it gets to the halfway point, you two will set off all the glyphs, potions, and fireworks to distract people. While Edric and Emira will stay on two separate sides of the street to distract people with illusions."
"Speaking of, you four have good excuses for your parents to explain your absences, right?" Eda asked.
"Studying chaos." Edric and Emira replied simultaneously.
"Studying illusions." Gus replied.
"Studying workout." Willow replied while doing some sit ups while hanging from upside-down a tree.
"With the twins love of mayhem and Hooty's need for attention, this'll be a cake walk!" Gus said.
"Eda, Grime, Willow and I will be on the roof to make sure things go according to plan." Yunan explained. "When Kikimora sends off the guards to investigate, that's when Eda and I will obscure the stage and whisk her and Raine away."
"Wait! Wait!" Eda interjected. "Why is Kikimora suddenly a part of this?!"
Yunan began sweating. "Uh…..I…..I….Well….." Everyone began to stare at Yunan suspiciously, Willow had to stop working out to stare at Yunan while Hooty was just staring at her with a dumb face. "Sorry, about that. Kikimora has been on my mind because her voice is so annoying."
Everyone but Willow moaned. "Of course she is!" Eda agreed.
"That voice will never get out of my head." Lilith said.
"I know…." Edric coughed and began to do a perfect Kikimora impression. "….I'm Kikimora! And I love Belos so much!"
Emira coughed. "I'm Kikimora! I wanna make Belos my husband! I want him to be the father of my children which will be human and….and….Whatever in the name of Titan I am!" Everyone laughed at their impressions.
Lilith then raised a hand. "Oh, Yunan! What is my role?! You haven't given me one."
"You have the role of keeping an eye on Granem's hand." Yunan replied.
Lilith gasped. "The hand." She was about to facepalm herself, but she realised that her fake hand was a knife. She used her other hand to remove the blade and put on her fake hand. "The hand!" She facepalmed herself with the fake hand and sighed.
"Eat up everyone, we're moving to phase 3!" Yunan declared proudly.
Phase 3: The Execution.
At the parade, the celebration was in full swing with many of the Coven heads on their respective floats. Terra grew a beautiful flower on the palm of her hand before a fly trap formed from her radial wrist, causing it to eat the flower and making people cheer.
On Darius' float, Darius made an Abomination that began waving to the crowd while he was suspiciously, looking upwards.
While Raine was playing their violin, sweating from the anxiety the crowd of people were giving them.
On top of the roof, two conjoined twins that were part of the Emperor's were having a conversation. "Look Angwin, I'm saying is, the last person who was in charge of the Bard Coven was better!"
"No! Raine has a lot of flare and style! What did Heldur Goneadattor have?!"
"They knew what mood to bring when they arrived!" Lysil argued.
"Flare!"
"Style!"
"Flare!"
"Style!"
While the conjoined twins argued, Eda, Grime, Willow and Yunan, all wearing robes and ski masks ran past and jumped to another roof.
One of the guard's noticed Willow land in front of her and before she could have the chance to talk to her, Grime snuck up and snapped her neck.
"Grime!" Eda exclaimed. "Little overkill, don't you think?!"
"Relax, I broke her neck so it wouldn't kill her." Grime assured her.
"Yeah. It was snappy." The guard remarked.
"See?"
They moved to another rooftop with Eda jumping over while Willow and Yunan performed front flips. But Grime began to fall as he missed the ledge. Luckily, Owlbert managed to catch him before he could land on a scout coven.
When they got to a specific rooftop, one of the guard's spotted them and gave them a wave. "Oh hey, you guys new?"
Before they responded, Yunan punched the guard in the face, causing his mask to shatter to reveal himself to be a witch with a horn on his head, pink skin and black hair.
"Ow! Sleepy time for Steve!" The guard said before collapsing.
"Huh, this Steve reminds me of a Steve I have in the toad army." Grime remarked.
"Okay, let's take a look at the parade." Yunan said as she and the others began to look down at everyone in attendance. Everyone was applauding the passing Covens, buying balloons, eating ice scream and even some of the Coven Heads looked like they were having a good time.
"Huh, this is a well made show." Grime remarked.
"Yeah, even Adrian's putting on a live performance." Willow said as she pointed at Adrian, whom was yelling at a bunch of guards.
"No! No! No! Left foot back, right foot forward!" Adrian yelled.
"No, I think he's just yelling at his crew for messing up his routine." Eda said.
"Where's ours?" Yunan asked.
"Over there." Grime pointed to an effigy of Belos on the float.
Eda whistled at the design. "Not bad, you two."
Inside the effigy, Gus was peddling the wheels while Hooty was controlling the limbs and eyes. He pulled a lever that made the effigy do a finger bang motion whilst winking.
"That was the signal!" Yunan declared. "You two know what to do."
Eda transformed into harpy mode and flew down into the ally whilst Yunan followed by performing her excellent parkour skills.
Gus and Hooty stared at the watch that was on Hooty's tongue and began to count down. "Four…Three…Two….One."
Then, a bunch of fireworks went off as well as explosions, causing a gas cloud to engulf the entire parade. The fireworks went up to spell out 'Belos! More like Boolos!' As well as 'Belos is full of….'
Edric cringed whilst Emira narrowed her eyes at her brother. "Oh, I forgot to finish that one."
"Never mind." Emira said. "Summon the illusions!"
The twins made illusions of random people in the crowd, causing them mild panic and confusion.
Tinella was shocked by another version of her in front of her. "Who are you?!"
"I am your long lost twin!"
"Hooway! I have famwy!"
Bump was terrified and confused. "You're not me!"
"Actually, you took my place and have taken it, without knowing." The Bump doppelgänger argued.
The other Bump looked shocked and blown away. "Wow. I think you just blew my mind."
Meanwhile, the guards stared at Kikimora all confused. "Uh, should we investigate?"
"Yes, of course, you hangnails! I command all of you to invesgtigate!" Kikimora demanded.
Once the scouts ran off to investigate, Yunan pounced towards Kikimora and tackled her into a nearby ally.
"Haha!" Grime laughed from the rooftop. "This mission is successful! Right Willow?!" But then, Willow suddenly disappeared. "Uh, Willow?" He saw her, flying on her Palisman, straight to Yunan's location. "You know! Your side story, could wait!"
"There he is!" Grime turned around to see the two conjoined Coven guards with a few more members, aiming their staffs at them.
"That's one of the criminals who snuck past us due to our bickering!" Lysil yelled.
Back in the effigy, Gus and Hooty were celebrating their victory.
"Mission success, Hooty!" Gus exclaimed. "Now, how do we get outta here?"
"Not to worry, little man. I know of a very sneaky escape." Hooty then used his elongated body to stand to make it look like the effigy is moving like a wavy inflatable man. "Hi! It's me! Your good buddy Belos! Worship me!"
"Kill that monstrosity!" Cried a terrified Coven Scout.
Hooty laughed. "Not the first time I heard that!" Hooty then began bouncing away from the Coven scouts. "Worship me! Law is meaningless! Stealing is legal now!"
Meanwhile, Raine was trying to make sense of the chaos until they were suddenly scooped by Eda and carried into an ally. They stared at Eda in her harpy form with fear and terror as they readied their violin.
"E…E…Eda?!"
Eda then turned back to her regular form and smiled at Raine. "Raine!" Eda cried as she hugged Raine. "Raine, I'm so glad you're okay!"
Raine looked confused as they removed Eda from them. "Eda? What are you doing here?"
"I had to make sure you were okay after that little adventure you had with Lilith and Grime." Eda's response made Raine confused.
"What are you talking about?" Raine asked. "And who's Grime?"
Eda chuckled nervously. "Rainestorm, come on! You went back in time, you almost killed Belos who was a human all along and you were then captured by Darius and Eberwolf."
"What? I would never kill Belos! You know I can't kill!"
"Come on Raine, that was two days ago."
"Eda, I spent the last month sick in bed. And we… we haven't spoken in years." Eda gasped at Raine, something must be wrong with them, surely. "Listen, I don't know what you want with me. But I'm Head of a Coven now. And I can't associate with wild witches anymore. So move aside."
Just before they could leave her, Raine turned to Harpy form and threw a few plant glyphs to create a wall to stop them from leaving.
"You're not going!" Eda demanded. "Until I get through to you!"
Raine pulled out their violin. "Fine, we can do this the hard way." They stood in their positions, ready to fight each other.
Meanwhile, Grime was still being held at staff point while walking backwards towards the edge of the building.
"Okay, we have you surrounded!" The guard said. "Now, surrender!"
Grime looked down and saw that it didn't look like a bad drop. Maybe a bruised limb, but he'd be okay. Grime turned around, still with his hands up and took a deep breath.
"Uh sir, please don't jump." One of the guards pleaded. "We don't want to…." Then, Grime jumped off the building while the guards just watched on with confusion.
"Oh, here he goes."
Then, before Grime could hit the ground, Owlbert flew towards Grime and managed to catch him. Grime screamed as he tried to fly the Palisman. "Ahhhh! What's going on?! Look out!" He managed to steal Owlbert to the left, then the right and the left to avoid crashing face first into Darius.
As he flew past Darius, he screamed, "I clogged your toilet again!"
Darius, obviously angered by this revelation, turned to Grime's direction and began to wave his fist angrily. "You maniac! Why does Whispers work with you?!"
Meanwhile, Grime steered Owlbert upwards towards a building before steering him down and to the right and then to the left. "Hey! I'm getting the hang of this!" He then noted a flaming ball coming towards him and quickly jumped off the Palisman to one of the buildings.
He ran across it and jumped from it, where the Palisman flew to catch him again. Grime smiled and raised his fist. "Ha! This is amazing! How am I doing this?" Owlbert hooted. "Luz couldn't do it?!" Owlbert gave a confused hoot. "Look pal, I'm a soldier. We kind of have to understand some animals." Owlbert hooted again. "Oh you know, the messenger owl bugs." He flew Owlbert away towards the rendezvous point.
Meanwhile, Eda and Raine had begun to fight each other. Eda tried to claw Raine with her claws, but they quickly did a front flip over their ex and blasted her.
"Please. Rainestorm stop it!" Eda pleaded before being hit by another blast.
"I don't want to hurt you, Eda. But you're not giving me much of a choice." Raine said before strumming a string, causing Eda to fly backwards.
"What can't you remember Rainestorm?" Eda asked. "The fact we killed Warden Envy?! You saw Hooty devour Terance?!"
"Hooty killed Terance?!"
Eda grabbed Raine by their shoulder but the kicked Eda in the chest before firing another stream of beams that Eda blocked with her wings.
"You don't remember fighting the Golden Guards?! Or the fact that we got back together?!"
"Funny, I didn't change my Penstagram relationship status to in a relationship." Raine retorted before strumming another string, causing Eda to block the beam and direct it back at them.
Eda then approached Raine with a cassette in her hand. "Did you forget this too?" Eda asked before playing Eda's Requiem.
This caused Raine more anger that they covered their ears. "Why won't you just leave me alone?" They asked before strumming so hard that it caused Eda to fly backwards and for the plant wall behind her to shatter. "For old time's sake, I'll give you one last chance. Move… please." Eda shook her head. "So be it."
"I think I hear something!" One of the guards yelled out.
"Over there!"
"Raine!" Darius cried out.
Eda stared at Raine, vulnerably while Raine just narrowed their eyes at her. "Go home. Maybe travel for a bit. Just don't contact me again. I work for the Emperor, after all."
Eda was reluctant at first but she took off to find the others. Raine turned around and stared at their former lover fly away. But then, they began to sob just as the Coven scouts and Darius arrived.
"Leave us." Darius commanded to the guards, whom bowed before running off.
The head of the Abomination Coven walked towards the head of the Bard Coven and placed a hand on their shoulder. "You did what you had to do."
Raine sniffled. "I know." They looked up, feeling a strong hint of regret. "I know."
Meanwhile, the effigy of Belos was now ablaze just as the Coven scouts tried putting it out, while Hooty, whom was being carried away by Gus in Porta mode, were snickering.
Later, Eda, Edric, Emira, Gus and Hooty were on the rooftop looking off into the distance just as the parade was back on.
Then, Grime arrived on Owlbert and handed him back to Eda. It was at this moment she suddenly realised that Grime had just handed her, her Palisman. "And who said you could fly my Palisman?!"
"It just saved me." Grime replied just as Yunan arrived by being lifted up by a plant, soon followed by Willow.
"And where were you two?" Emira asked.
"Yeah, what intriguing side story were you doing?!" Grime asked angrily.
Yunan sighed. "Well, you know how you meet someone in a similar dilemma as you that you'd wish to help?"
"Luz does it all the time." Eda replied.
"Well, it began this morning…."
