Ch 2 Zero Mission
Samus and Roy stared at the Vice-Chanceller in shock. "What" asked Samus in disbelief. "I know you two usually work alone". Jason said raising his hands. "But I need you guys to work together on this job. You're the best at what you do and I need the best. Together you two can do much more that you can separate." "Can't you send in the marines?" Roy interjected. "I want a zero mission" Jason responded. "Elections are around the corner and I don't want to lose due to some marines dying." "Then let's get to work." Samus told Roy as she stood up and walked to the elevator.
"Let's use my ship, it's closer." Samus said on the way down. "Fine by me." Roy responded. "The sooner we leave the sooner I get my payment." The duo soon arrived at hanger 51 and boarded Samus' gunship. The sleek orange hunter-class ship with its' two rotating side engines and turrets struck terror in the hearts of its' enemies. Samus powered up the ship as Roy set the coordinates into the navigation computer. Taking off from the busy capital, the twinkling lights of space shone as the gunship increased to max speed. "At our present speed we should be approaching the Krawin system in 6 hours." Roy stated while sitting down in the chair beside Samus'. "So how did you become a bounty hunter?" Samus asked glancing at him for a second before turning back to the viewport to pilot the ship. "My father was a bounty hunter and so a just did what he did." Roy responded. "I know it's not as interesting as why you became a bounty hunter though." Samus slowly turned her head to stare daggers into him before seeing his smirk and realizing he was attempting to make a joke." "Do you often make jokes when you work?" Samus asked looking back at the viewport. "No, but then I usually work alone." Roy replied They sat in a comfortable silence for the rest of the rest of the time. Soon arriving at their destination. Neither were prepared for the sit that greeted them when the ship stopped. "What the hell." Roy said as they looked around in wonder and shock at the mysterious scene that greeted them
