Hermione's Blues
Fenrir went with Peter. What Mimi didn't know was that Fenrir had another invisible chain around her waist. If she found out, it would make it all worse. Whatever, he wasn't taking any chances.
When they went into the room where Draco and Narcissa were, the atmosphere was somber. Wallburga was there. The going to look into the Black library, with Gustav Grindenwald had been postponed.
Gellert's daughter had alerted them that demons would often find another host. But as to how such atrocities went inside the Malfoy, nobody knew. Who knew if they had been there since long ago or what had happened? And there was still the question of what would happen to the demons once they were dead. How to take them out? The Owl had indicated they would disintegrate, but maybe pieces would remain inside. What they knew was that Magic might not be an option.
Hermione moved next to Draco, protected by the adults. Everyone had their wands out, ready to act. Zech stood on the young witch's shoulder, unseen, although the former Dementors could see him well. When Hermione touched Draco, everyone looking saw the reptilian monster with open jaws, ready to snap and sever Draco's spinal cord. Although only a couple of the ones there had seen it, they all knew about it. Regardless, nobody was prepared for the sight. Gellert thought he would be sick. They looked like giant versions of the things he used to have. Mimi said the things were all gone, but what if? He didn't want to be near one of them. Regret for all his evil deeds filled his brain, making him wish he could change his past.
Then, she touched Narcissa, and many had tears in their eyes. It looked like Lucius would have to give in to the Dark Lord. However, Grant and Peter were already calculating how to do it. Both had steady hands. They knew that using magic to kill the demons could alert them. Gellert's child said demons fought those trying to expel them, so maybe too much magic would alert them. Then how to get rid of both at the same time.
Severus could hardly think. This was more than he could deal with. It was good that some were thinking about how to distract the demons. It would require planning and cunning. What was clear was that both demons would have to be killed at the same time. When the Dark Lord knew one of the demons was dead, the other would act right away. It was good that three of them were skilled in giving injections, Hermione's parents were experts.
When Lucius clearly saw what was inside, he knew it his wife and his child would die. It looked hopeless, he thought. Thus, Bella was as good as dead, as for the Dark Lord, he was also dead. He had nearly screamed when he saw the demon inside his good child.
Dobby came in the room, "Sir, this Owl be coming from Azkaban."
"Not now, leave." Lucius mumbled.
Wallburga said, "Read, maybe it is from Bella." She felt Bella's darkness around the Owl. Her beautiful damaged niece, a dark witch. Maybe with a different father she would have been a better witch. There were so many stories about Cygnus, some of allowing Bella to be close to the Dark Lord. Only Bella knew the truth.
"Luc, I will read it," Grant , Hermione's father, offered, seeing Lucius reluctance.
"I don't trust the evil witch, maybe it is a way to kill my wife and child when I read it." Lucius said, unwisely, forgetting Hermione was there. Hermione's anguished cry, reminded him to keep his mouth closed.
"Let us go to 'Zkaban to scare her. She is going to kill my Draco. NOOOOOO!" Hermione was pulling on the chain. Fenrir could feel her pull, she was going to break out.
Fenrir bent and held her tight. Amazingly, he could barely restrain her. Peter also felt her pulling, dragging him. "No, she won't. Because in a little while, you will help us get the nasty things out of them." He was mad at Lucius' lack of control. He patted Hermione's back, calming her down. She wasn't crying but still trying to get away from him.
In the room where the children where, Harry and the older children had heard Hermione. So Harry was thinking about how to get away. They heard Hermione inside their heads, urging them to hold hands and try to escape.
Meanwhile, Moody was talking to Rufus, who was worried. He wanted peace because he was happy for the first time in his life; he was secretly married; it was best nobody knew.
He had a small wizard, no chance for more; they had been lucky. He was grateful. Albus didn't know about their child; his wife had recommended it. His child stayed with his wife's daughter, also a secret from Albus because he would have her killed. There were a lot of things Albus didn't know, and as Alastor Moody had recommended, they should keep secret all they could from Albus. Neither trusted him at all; and even less now they knew he was under the influence of disguised evil. The Aurors reasoned that sometimes the mightiest's pride blinded them. Arthur didn't trust him at all.
Bella's Scroll
Lucius went to Hermione, "Darling, I didn't mean what I said. I am upset, that is all." He kissed her forehead and felt magic pouring out of her. He had to Occlumance quickly. Hermione tried to read his mind; he had to be more careful; he wanted the little witch safe.
"Fenrir, Peter, please take Hermione for a short stroll." He wanted Grant to read the scroll and have as many as possible hear him.
Gellert offered, "I will go with them." He wanted to be away from the entities inside the Malfoy. Lucius wondered what was going on with Gellert. Maybe he wanted to help Hermione get her way.
"No, please stay here; we might need your advice," Lucius knew Gellert was soft putty around the powerful children.
As soon as they left, Lucius pulled out his wand, ready to invoke a Silence charm around the room. But first he asked everyone to check if Vince was in the room. They figured that out once Vince was hidden, they could see him.
Grant read,
Lucius, No need to pretend. I want my sister to be well. One of my new friends is a guard and helped me to send this to you. You might not believe me, but I deeply regret helping the Dark Lord to curse my sister, but I had no idea about cursing my nephew to make him ill. The rest of the scroll will be unreadable until you swear you will never tell the Dark Lord what I am about to reveal."
Grant lifted his eyes, "There is more here, but it is blurred."
Lucius was angry; everyone could see it. "Damn witch, she is one sorry excuse for a sister. My son is no longer her nephew, but be it."
He pulled out his wand and cast a Malfoy charm to make sure Voldemort would never know the contents of the scroll. Knowing his magic might not work on many of the ones present.
Grant sighed, relieved, so he tried to read again. It was still blurry. "Sorry, I think it is meant for you only. You can read it, then tell us." Lucius agreed and read it quietly.
"While Narcissa was pregnant with Draco, I fed her a potion as The Dark Lord had ordered me. So I used a curse in the Red Book at my Aunt Wallburga's home. I don't remember it well, something about a guest. That was a curse on Draco; he said it would make his magic weak, only that. Then, the day Cissy had Draco, I took some of the birthing blood, and invoking a curse, I drew a square on Narcissa's chest while she slept. The Dark Lord said to draw it on her heart so he could scare and control her. I didn't do anything to Draco besides drawing a circle on the back of his head. The Dark Lord said to do it, so he would also be able to control him. I gave him a small cloth with the birthing blood, as requested by him, but also kept another bloody cloth hidden inside a small box in my room at the Manor. Read the curses, and maybe the 'door' can be reopened. Perhaps, I opened an entrance into my nephew. I think the blood I gave to the Dark Lord, and I certain it was used to activate the curse. The one that is making my sister and nephew sick. Maybe the Angels will see I am trying hard and won't kill me. I have repented…"
Lucius roared in anger. As soon as he stopped reading the message after her repentance, he looked angrier. "It figures, Bella wants to 'help' because she is afraid the Pixies will kill her. At least, the band of small terrors have done some good with their disobedience." Nobody smiled, worried about Madam Mimi and her troupe's next moves.
He asked Wallburga to find the curses, and the meaning of the drawings, the circle and the box. Who knew what was done or when? He would never forgive Bella, though he knew Narcissa would. Bella was her favorite; he knew that for sure. He loved his wife, though he felt changed after his relatives had touched him. He wasn't sure how he would feel if she befriended Bella again, after all she had Andy. The Malfoy-Dolohov twins had explained to him many of their kind had poly-families. But angry with their cousin, they doomed him and his descendants to die of grief whenever their spouse would die. He knew the rest; besides Bella had cursed his seed, ensuring he never wanted to see Bella again. Why? Because she was evil and poison.
"If the thing inside them can be killed with wolf blood, why is it alive inside my wife? She is a wolf." Lucius wondered.
Elke Grindenwald had the answer. "Because the demons don't eat. They feed on energy. They are endoplasmic, and nearly weightless, so their surrounding don't affect them. If they weren't, you would see a bulge on Draco's body and on your wife's. Yet when we take demons out, they are somewhat solid, even if they are dead. From my experience, it is best to burn them; there is no way to tell if they can regenerate." She didn't add if the demon bit Narcissa's heart, it would probably die. It was best not to say anything.
Gellert, the color all gone out his face, added, "Yet, one can see them and feel them. I did." Saying that, he ran to a wall to vomit, cleaned it with his wand, then sat on the floor, holding his face. Elke, his daughter went to him. She sat on the floor and held him. Gellert was shaking, ashamed of his display, yet the terror wouldn't leave him, still feeling the demons going up his throat.
Elke stood up and said, "Bring Mimi again. Although I can see let you see them, what she can show us is much better
They brought Hermione back. When asked, she didn't want to show them again, "No, I can take them out. Let me bring my helpers, we are better." She crossed her arms and tightened her lips.
She heard four adults saying, "No," but Gellert's voice was the one that made her cry.
For once, he was firm. "No, darling, what is in them, is very dangerous; it could kill you and Draco as well. Please, let others take the risk. I would die if something happened to you or one of my babies. You can be mad at me, but I will fight whoever says you can do it."
"You are mean, and I don't like you. Now, Draco is going to die because of you." She pointed her finger at Gellert and then held on to Fenrir, who wasn't moved by her tears. He would kill anyone who allowed them to take a chance. Indeed, he agreed with Gellert.
Hermione's mom was unhappy with Hermione. But when she was going to reprimand her, she heard her husband. "No, let her. We will talk to her later."
Wallburga left with Sirius to look in the Black Library. Kreacher, continuously fought with Axel for the Head House-Elf job, when they were away together, and this was a chance to prove he was best. He said he would help, to show Lucius how valuable he was. Dobby came along to help look quicker. After all, Dobby was his minion. Both had a lot of perks because the Grangers demanded they were treated better.
Though Wallburga and Sirius found three possible curses, the results were disheartening. Nevertheless, Sirius read the 'Open Doors' curse again. "No, I was wrong, I read again, and this one will works since Bella said that she'd kept some blood. We could 'reopen' the doors and force the whatever out. Since it requires human contact to draw the 'doors,' someone could pretend to caress Draco and Cissy . But we must block the Dark Lord or whoever works with him to send a command. The sisters said the demons are dormant but who knows? We still don't know why a circle and a square.
"Maybe someone has an idea." Wallburga stopped, "Here, read this, "Dead, alive." It isn't a curse, but it is used to escape enemies, making an enemy think you are dead. Even a healer won't be able to tell if you are alive. Why should I demon stay on a dead body?"
"Maybe, but Draco is very young. He would need to…." Sirius had an idea, remembering the Pixies had gone inside him. The children were actors, so they could 'go inside Draco,' dance around him, and tell him what to do, and do the same with Narcissa. But an adult needed to be with them. When the demons 'jumped out,' the needles with the wolf-blood would be waiting. The strangers, or former Dementors, could help.
Sirius stopped, looking troubled, "Do you think my daughter will join the Pixie terrors?" He shivered.
Wallburga was also worried, "I think so. I wouldn't expect anything else. Look at Remus' twins, and at Tillie Lestrange. The little witches look up to Mimi. Though Lucinda and James are tattles, all the children are under her spell. Besides, you were a terror, and I heard the Grangers weren't much better." She grinned, looking at her son.
"Mother, I hope you are not interested in Gellert's son, that Gustav Grindelwald . He might be, ahem." Sirius stopped, looking at his mother who seemed amused.
"Son, if I have something to tell you I will. I am old enough." Wallburga told him, smiling when she heard Kreacher's snickers.
"Yours mom can likes whoever's." Kreacher shook his finger at Sirius. "Maybe I wants a baby be running around Grimmauld."
Sirius felt bile going up his throat, thinking Kreacher was right.
"Mother, he is a giant. His father is Gellert, and, never mind, and he is, never mind. Maddy is his grandchild." He sounded defeated. He grinned when he heard his mother's laughter.
"Nothing to worry about it, not yet." Wallburga kissed his cheek, liking her son's jealousy. "We still have not found what the circle and the square mean. They are the 'doors; ' I am sure."
Kreacher had an idea, "Maybe one door be opens first."
"Good idea Kreacher, let's look more on doors and symbols." Sirius agreed, making Kreacher applaud.
After a while they found a symbol and sequences. Happy with the findings they went back.
The Pixies
"Uncle Fenny, do you love me?" Hermione patted Fenrir's face, making Peter sigh; she was a Granger.
"I do, but don't ask for what I won't do. I would be very sad if something happen to my sweet pup." Fenrir kissed her.
"But will you let us help?" Hermione tried again.
"We need your help to save Draco; of course you can help, but only if you do as you are told." Fenrir told her the truth.
As soon as they entered the room with Harry and the other young ones, Hermione yelled, "We can help, but we need to obey." Hermione wasn't planning to obey.
"Don't even think about it, best you change your disobeying plans." Fenrir could see her eyes; though he could Legilemance or just read her, but that wasn't him. Hermione turned her face away from him.
Hermione got down, to tell her cousins and Harry about 'Bellitris.' Now, they understood that they would need to do whatever was necessary. They needed to scare and beat the witch until she said the entire truth. They had a hidden folded drawing, in Harry's pocket, ready to get Bellatrix. Hermione stretched her hand to grab Harry or Evie's hands, the ones closer. Not possible, because the other uncle, Gustav, the new one, caught her hand. Hermione bent her head, trying to bite him. "Don't try because I will bite back," her uncle grinned, showing his fangs, and Hermione snarled. He tweaked her nose, making Fenrir chuckle.
Zech knew to stay hidden on her shoulder, just in case. But other former Dementors were of the opinion they should let their Angel, aka Hermione Granger, go and scare the evil witch and find all the truth. Not one of them wanted their lives changed back.
Peter warned them, "Mimi is determined, just as Harry, and the rest of her band. I know she is worried, they all are, but she needs to obey and trust us. Everyone here, if you want to help, obey."
At once, the small witches and wizards protested, but Fenrir and Peter were unmoved. Hermione heard a voice in her head, "Please obey, we love you. You will get hurt." She had no idea who spoke, but someone could hear them. The voice was a little scary, she looked around.
Too bad she didn't care; they would kill the monsters when Bella told them everything. Nobody else could do it. She thought the grownups would let him die, not her Draco. "He might die if you don't obey." Hermione heard the voice again; the voice sounded a little angry, maybe it wasn't in her head. She asked, "Who is talking?"
Someone laughed, and Peter said, "Nobody sweet pea, maybe it was 'Jiminy Cricket,' like in Pinocchio."
Hermione bit her lip, wondering. In the movie, Jiminy was usually right. She whispered, "Are you my Jiminy?"
A/n Hmm, will be she listen? I am not so sure. We shall see. Or should she try her own thing? I am glad she is not my child, as lovely as she is.
