To say that things were awkward between them was an understatement, to Liv anyway. Vaas was either good at hiding his thoughts or didn't care. No matter the reason he woke her up the next morning and hurried her to the Scavenger as if she had never kissed him on the cheek.

It wasn't as much of a big deal as she was making it, but she was honestly shaken by the action. Did she like kissing him? She knew how she should feel about Vaas; repulsed and intimidated, but she unfortunately didn't, at least by the former. He was extremely intimidating, especially as he sat beside her staring into space.

Was she on his mind?

Liv dug her nail into her palm as a warning. She leaned back in the seat and tried to relax, but a rough jerk knocked her against Vaas. She groaned in annoyance; the universe was mocking her.

But instead of moving, she remained in place with her arm resting against his.

He did not attempt to separate from her, so Liv indulged herself for a moment. His warm skin was soothing; it brought goosebumps to her arms. For the remainder of the drive, she leaned on him.

On the beach, Liv took a look around. She did not see Chris in his usual spot, or her tripod, however, the rock remained. Not wanting to speak to him, she followed Vaas further down the beach to a shaded area where the man in question was. He looked like shit, resting with his head slumped to the side; she hoped that he was resting. Someone had moved him out of the sun. Perhaps because he was sick.

"Chris, it's time to wake up," Vaas declared as he nudged the actor with his boot.

Liv kneeled beside the tripod and sat the camera on it. So far Chris was unresponsive. She tinkered with the lens as Vaas tried to wake him, keeping her concern in check. One hand went to the keychain on her belt, clutching it, an action that did not go unnoticed by Vaas.

"Fucking relax. I know a way to wake him up. Just start the camera," he ordered.

Liv was unsure about his methods, but as soon as Vaas kneeled beside him, she hit the record button.

"I don't know what it is folks," he began. He shook his head in concern. "I came here yesterday; Chris was not speaking. He was not smiling. He was not moving.

Vaas put his hand to his chin and looked up.

"I'm thinking it could be the sun. So, I moved him out of the sun and I put him in the shade. And he's still not moving as you can see."

To emphasize his point, he poked Chris with two fingers.

"So unfortunately I'm not gonna torture him today. I'm gonna wait for him to recuperate a little bit."

Liv was relieved to hear this. However, she was worried about the state Chris was in. Vaas mentioned that he was sick; his body must have been worn down from the constant torture and the relentless elements. She would have prayed for him, but she and god were not speaking.

"I am so sorry," Vaas apologized as he looked at the camera. "I want you to pray for him - Liv almost snorted at this. I want you to send him positive energy. I'm gonna freshen him up a little bit and um that's that."

Reaching down, he placed his hand on the actor's forehead and began petting him like a dog.

"I love you, Chris. We're all praying for you to come back to life. We all love you very much."

Vaas stood and turned his back to the camera, spreading his legs.

"You might want to look away, querida (darling)."

Why? What was he doing?

Hearing his zipper go down, Liv watched him stand in front of Chris. A second later, he started to urinate on him. She gasped in shock and covered her face. She could not believe that he'd just yank out his dick and start pissing on Chris right in front of her. At least he had the common sense to turn around. Her face turned red as she heard Chris shout in disgust.

"He's alive! Yes!" Vaas exclaimed. "Open up it's full of vitamins!"

Chris continued to shout, cursing him. There wasn't much he could do but take it. Liv felt so bad for him.

"Oh my god! Your dick is so small," he cried out.

At least he felt good enough to insult him, even though he probably shouldn't.

"That's not what your mother said when I was fucking her in your dad's laundry room you motherfucker! That's right! I fucked your mother you McLovin motherfucker!" Vaas shouted in protest. "Talkin' about my penis."

"It's so hot! Why is it so hot?!" Chris asked in a sputter.

Vaas laughed.

"Agh! Because it comes from my big rhinoceros blatter!"

Liv had no doubt. From the sound of it, however, it was almost over.

"I made sure to have a lot of vitamins this morning," Vaas mentioned. He began to name some of them, spraying Chris in the face as he did, cracking up at himself.

"You know I never thought when I used to see you on the big screen that I would piss on an actor's face. I feel like I'm pissing on Hollywood right now," Vaas stated. "I AM PISSING ON HOLLYWOOD!"

It went silent for a moment and then Liv heard the sound of approaching footsteps. She kept her head down and her eyes covered until she heard Vaas tell her that it was okay to look. Looking at him in shock, he grinned.

"When you have to go, you have to go. Pack up the camera; I need to wash my hands."

Liv watched him walk down to the shoreline and kneel. She could not believe what just transpired. Turning off the camera, she stood and clutched it against her chest. Her eyes turned to Chris.

"It's almost over. Please hang on," she whispered.

"I'm fucking thirsty," Chris uttered in reply.

Had Vaas not given him water?

"I can try to-"

"Let's go, Olivia," Vaas interrupted as he walked over to her. "Move your ass."

Liv frowned and gave Chris a brief nod, following the pirate up the beach. She was speechless the entire walk back to the Scavenger. While she was thankful that Chris was not tortured badly, this experience was the most awkward she had ever sat through. It took every bit of willpower not to let her mind wander, though she knew it was far too late.

"Fucker," Vaas uttered. "I don't have a small penis."

Liv felt her face heat up. Did he mean for her to hear this? She ignored his comment and averted her eyes to the camera in her hands. The ride back to the outpost was going to be awkward.

And one thing was for certain, her head was in the clouds. If only she knew how far.
