Alma Madrigal let out a deep breath, it had been a long week of rebuilding Casita. They, hopefully, would be able to move back in two days. Alma couldn't wait to finally have things back to the way they use to be. Well, maybe not the way that they used to be, there were no gifts, no miracle, and all they had was each other. She was going to do better, do right by them. She'll make sure that they never doubted that they were loved ever again.

She wasn't really paying attention to where she was going, or what was happening around her, but the sound of music, playing a joyful dance tune in the middle of the town square drew her in. She was certain that if she looked at the swirling colors of dancers she will find Felix and Pepa.

What she wasn't expecting to find was Dolores… dancing with Mariano.

Wait one minute, since when did Dolores and Mariano? She had heard, through the grapevine, of all things, that Isabela had dumped Mariano about as soon as she had been able to get him alone after the fall of Casita.

What else was she missing about her grandchildren? What had they been hiding from her?

Dolores and Mariano walked past, both of them so intent on their conversation that they failed to notice the older woman watching them.

"Are you sure that we can't do one more dance?" Mariano was asking.

"I wish that we could, but it's game night, boyfriend or no, the twins will disown me if I miss Noche de juegos en familia," Dolores insisted, "And trust me when I say, you do not want to be on the bad side of the twins, ever."

Twins? Family game night, this was new to her. She would have thought that she would have known if one of her children had multiples.

Mariano chuckled, "Considering that Camilo pinned me down and told me that he would make my life miserable if I so much as make you cry, I believe you."

"Don't think that he won't rope Mirabel into helping him," Dolores said, "There's a reason why we call them the twins. Isabela and I were never as close as Camilo and Mirabel are."

Abuela frowned, she didn't know that Mirabel was close to Camilo, or Dolores. Then again she didn't know much about her youngest granddaughter… or her oldest granddaughter… or any of her grandchildren for that matter.

Isabela had totally rejected her perfect behavior this past week, snapping at everyone, getting messy, being loud… and being the happiest she's ever seen her. She had certainly never been as happy on Mariano's arm as Dolores was. Perhaps she had arranged the marriage with the wrong… no she was changing, she was going to do things right. No arranged marriages. If Dolores decides to marry Mariano, then it was up to her.

What else had she missed about the grandchildren? A lot no doubt. Luisa was having some major self-worth issues. Camilo, well, she wasn't sure about him, any heartfelt question was deflected by a joke with him. Perhaps his jokes were meant to deflect any concern, just like Julieta was worried that Mirabel's "I'm fine," might be a huge lie.

What did any of them even like to do? Did they even know what they liked? Or had they all been so busy with her expectations that they never learned how to relax and enjoy life? She frowned at that thought. She'll make this up to them, and somehow, some way, she'll become the best Abuela she possibly could. If only she knew how to.

Dolores and Mariano wandered off, out of her line of sight. She'll have to interrogate Dolores about what was up with her and Mariano later. No wait, she might not like her questioning her like that. She'll have to be subtle, but how?

She sighed as she headed back towards the church, perhaps Felix and Pepa would have some insight into Dolores's relationship with Mariano.

What she walked into was not Felix and Pepa, but Julieta and Agustin arguing with Mirabel.

"I'm sorry," Mirabel said with a shrug, "I already have plans, and I'm not going to change them just because you decided that you actually want to hang out with me."

"Mirabel," Agustin said, "Look we think that a little camping trip with just the five of us will be a good idea, I used to love going on camping trips with my family when I was little."

"Yeah, well I don't," Mirabel insisted, her hands on her hips, "I've already told you, I have plans this weekend, and I don't want to have to cancel. I always had to work around your and Luisa's schedules if I wanted to spend any time with you, so you should respect me, and work around my schedule. Sorry, but No."

Abuela winched as Mirabel stormed off, muttering under her breath. What was that all about? She thought that Mirabel would have jumped at the chance to go camping with her family, although she could imagine Isabela sticking her nose up at the idea.

She slid further into the church as Agustin pulled Julieta into a hug, "Look, Mirabel's going through some rough times right now," he told her, "Maybe we need to give her some space. We have been kind of smothering her lately."

"Maybe we should postpone the trip," Julieta suggested, "I know you and Isabela had been looking forward to it, but this was supposed to be a family trip."

Isabela was looking forward to the camping trip, but why? Why in the world would Isabela want to sleep out on the ground in the middle of the forest? What about her beauty sleep, and her clothes and hair would be totally ruined?

"We'll talk to Lusia and Isabela," Agustin suggested, "Maybe I can take Isabela on a father-daughter camping trip and we can go as a family at a later time."

"Maybe, I don't know," Julieta said, "I just wish I knew what's going on in Mirabel's head."

Abuela wasn't sure if she should be relieved or concerned that Julieta was as clueless about what was going on with her youngest as she was.

She walked past them further into the church where Mirabel was sitting with Camilo, "I kind of feel bad, telling them that I wasn't going, but… family game night is something we've been doing since I was five. We missed last week's because of Tonito's gift ceremony, and…" Mirabel trailed off with a sigh.

"Everything's changing," Camilo said, "Your family is actually available, you don't need me anymore."

"I'll always need you, Camilo," Mirabel insisted, placing a hand on her primo's shoulder, "You're mi mellizo," she insisted, "Nothing is going to change that."

"I know, but what are you going to do with your parents?"

"I don't know," Mirabel sighed, "If I tell them the truth, it will just hurt them… But…"

"You're hurting them already, by keeping them in the dark."

What were Camilo and Mirabel even talking about? They weren't twins, they were three months apart, Isabela and Dolores were closer in age, just weeks apart, yet they've never called themselves twins.

"I was really looking forward to the camping trip," Isabela's voice said loudly, "and now Mirabel has to go and ruin it for us."

"Look, as much as I can't stand the idea of sleeping outside on the ground, I was looking forward to the trip as well. It's been forever since we've done something just the five of us," Luisa insisted.

"I just don't get it, she goes on and on with how much she loves the family, but the moment that Mama and Papa come up with a family activity, she's suddenly too busy for us. It's infuriating."

"Isa," Luisa said crossly, "I'm sure that Mirabel has a good reason for not wanting to go camping."

"Well, it better be a very good reason, because I really want to go camping."

As soon as they left Camilo turned to Mirabel, "You should just tell them the truth."

"Oh, like that would go over well, Mama and Mami are just going to start arguing."

"Come on, I'm in charge of getting the treats ready, you can help me."

"Okay," Mirabel muttered, standing up, "I hate that I'm making Isabela and Luisa upset but…" Mirabel shrugged, "I prefer this."

Abuela watched the two of them walk away. She really needed to figure out what was going on with her grandchildren. Isabela was looking forward to a camping trip, so much so that she was complaining that Mirabel didn't want to go. A camping trip that involved dirt and sleeping on the ground and… everything she thought the girl despised. Dolores was dating Mariano, despite the fact that she had never shown any interest at all in having a serious relationship, at least as far as she knew. Luisa had mentioned that she didn't really want to go camping but was willing to go because it was a family activity. How many things had Luisa done that she didn't want to do because everyone expected her to do it because she had expected her to do it? Then there was Mirabel, but that wasn't really that surprising, her relationship with her youngest granddaughter was so strained that they were practically strangers in all but name. What exactly had she meant when she said that "Mama and Mami" would just start arguing if they knew what was going on? Did Camilo know? What all did he know?

There had to be a way to get to know her grandchildren better. Maybe this Family Game Night that Dolores, Camilo, and Mirabel had mentioned would be a good way to get to know them better. Maybe it would be a good way for the family to bond together. Hopefully, Felix and Pepa wouldn't mind her joining in. Then again, it sounded like Mirabel joins in all the time so she was sure that they would welcome her in.
