" Cops never did find it " said Damian before stopping in front of a dust covered van, " this looks promising he adds going to the door.

Police cars arrived suddenly along with officers shouting at this point everything was moving slowly...

After being put in holding Markus showed up telling me it was not good. I was charged with property damage, breaking and entering, and automotive damage. The owners of the business were showing no mercy on me and didn't give a rats ass that I was a teenager.

Sitting before the judge was myself, my lawyer and Markus we wait patiently to hear what's my punishment. Glancing behind me I see my mom trying to hold back tears, my dad with his arms crossed over his chest and even though I didn't want them to be here Geoff and DJ came.
Apart of me was relieved that they didn't tell Courtney I wanted to call her but I didn't have the courage to even dial her number.
My thoughts were interrupted by the Judge speaking " Duncan Jay Stone your here today on countless charges from property damage, destruction of motor vehicles and you have records from before with other felonies " he said no doubt looking over all my records and juvenile reports.
" Your honour my client confessed of another individual that had done all damages on the night of the crime " spoke my lawyer " as well as trying to stop that individual " he adds just hearing this discussion made me so mad inside.
" Your client was still an accomplice that took part of the crime and he was found at the scene, where as the other individual is no where to be found and not in custody " replied the judge.
" Damian if I ever see your face I'm going to kill you " I spoke in my head trying not to express my anger.
" Mr. Stone father of Duncan do you have anything to say? " the judge asks taking a breath a turn my seat to face dad.
Standing up from his seat he looks straight at me, " was all this worth it Duncan? Do you have any idea what you've done? What future do you have now and whatever hope you had is gone, all I can say now is good luck son " said Dad shaking his head in disappointment.
Turning back to face the judge I exhale heavily.
" Duncan Jay Stone I sentence you to 6 years at Toronto South Detention Centre where you will serve time for your crimes this court is adjourned " announced the judge hitting his gavel.
Squeezing my fists tight I feel the officers get me to stand up from my seat once again cuffing me, I see my mom covering her face crying and dad trying to comfort her. Geoff and DJ tried to get close enough to me " hey we're still friends no matter what " said DJ smiling " dude we'll be here when you get back " Geoff said giving me a thumbs up.
Smiling lightly at them I nod just as the officers we're about to take me away I turn to Markus, " can I ask for a favour? " I said getting his attention " this is a first but alright " answers Markus grabbing a pen and notepad. Taking a deep breath " call my girlfriend for me and explain what happened also tell her I'm sorry " I said sounding nervous.
Markus looked at me with sympathy upon hearing my request, giving him the phone number quick I was escorted out the courtroom looking back at everyone it hit hard knowing I won't be around for awhile.
Closing my eyes as we continued walking towards the bus that would take me to Jail, I could only picture the one who ever saw good in me.
" Courtney " I breathed...

" Yo Duncan you okay? " asked Marco getting me to come out of my thoughts.

Ever since my release I have moments where I become speechless and can't continue what I want to say, I got some help for it but I found it pointless. So I just kept myself busy with work and getting my life back to normal amongst them was hoping to find Courtney.
I often wonder how she's been since then but more importantly I hope her life has been good.
