Chapter Ten Healing Loud

Lincoln had to let out a sigh of relief when he heard the phone alarm clock go off, it sounded the end of todays lecture, "Well looks like we are done for today lincoln! and i gotta say you did great today!" said his private tutor with a happy smile on her face, if lincoln had to be honest, he had been really scared about getting a tutor, but the one lori had chosen for him turned out to be perfect for him, her name is Janice Kaplinski and if lincoln had to be honest again, she was the best teacher he had ever had in his life, now don't get him wrong he loved his old teachers and there were not bad teachers either, but miss janice was on a whole other level, but then again she did not have a whole class of kids to teach at the same time so she did have that advantage, but still lincoln was actually really enjoying learning for the first time in his life, but lincoln was still a teen boy, and no matter how fun the lecture was lincoln would still get bored towards the end of the lectures, and it didn't help he was excited too, it had been a couple of weeks since the "Cutting" incident, and lori had been watching him like a hawk at all times, but today she was visiting bobby in the city and she was gonna be gone all week, and he had somehow managed to convince her that he was ready to be home alone...but she had one condition, maddie had to stay over with him all week while lori was gone, and if lori had been watching him like a hawk...maddie had been stalking him like a shark, and he couldn't help but think back to when he had told her what had happened...he still felt guilty.

Flashback

Lincoln was nervous right now...no that was nowhere near what he was feeling right now, it felt like his chest is going to explode, and all this came from the little phone device in his hands, lori was sitting on a chair beside him, rubbing his back for emotional support, lori had somehow managed to prevent maddie's friends from telling her exactly what had happened, but sadly no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't stop them from texting small things about that day to her, like the fact that lincoln was in the hospital, and maddie had been spamming her and lincoln's phones non-stop for hours, she had only stopped beacuse lori had finally called her parents and explained the situation to them, but she also told them not to tell maddie, explaining that lincoln would like to be the one to tell her first. and now the time had come for him to tell her, but he was scared, no that wasn't the right word, he was down right terrified, but he knew he had to face the music. "You can do it linc" lori whispered to him in a soothing tone, taking a deep breath, he turned his head so he could look at lori, "I'm scared lori...what if she never trusts me again, what if she will hate me?" tears started to fall from his eyes, "W..what if she leaves me?" He sobbed out, pure pain in his voice, he lowered his face into his hands and cried, trying to hide from the world, but he wouldn't get to hide for long, for lori pulled him back up and into a strong hug, letting him cry into her shoulder, "I don't want to loss her...i love her so much" he sobbed into her shoulder, and lori rubbed his back in response.

After a couple of minutes of lori rubbing his back and whispering loving words into his ears to calm him down, and when lincoln finally did calm down enough did she let go of him, "Linc you need to listen to me now" she said in a gentle tone, and when she was sure he was listening she continued, "Maddie loves you lincoln, the way she looks at you, is the same way i look at bobby" what lori wouldn't admit to him was that maddie beat her in the obsessive behavior part, "I don't believe that maddie will ever let you go linc, but i will be honest with you, she will be hurt by this lincoln" She could her him hold back a sob when he heard her say that last part, "But that is because she loves you lincoln, yes you will have to rebuild her trust in you, but i know you can, your the man with the plan afterall!" she finished with a smile, and when she saw him smile back, she knew he was ready, "Now call her lincoln, she must be full of anxiety right now waiting to hear your voice" she said, lincoln nodded at her and took another deep fortifying breath, "O..okay i'm ready!" she said out loud, he slowly lifted the phone up to his ear and made the call.

it took a couple of seconds of waiting before he heard a voice he was all too familiar with "L...lincoln?" it was the maddie, and by the tone of her voice...she was frightened, "H...hey mags" he said with a gentle tone, and lincoln could hear maddie cry out in pure joy, "OH THANK GOD!" she yelled out, and lincoln had to smile at how sweet she was, "I was so scared linky! the only thing everybody kept telling me was that something bad had happened and you were in the HOSPITAL! what happened!" she asked, once again sounding frightened. and this it the part that lincoln had feared, "Maddie...i messed up" was all he could make himself say, "Linky...what happened?" she asked once again, fear growing in her voice. lincoln tried to make himself calm down, but it was a losing battle, but just when he thought he was gonna have another break down again, he felt himself be pulled by lori into a strong hug, "Shhhhh little bro, you got this, i'm here for you" lori kept whispering into his ear, and after a couple of seconds of lori comforting lincoln, lincoln finally felt he was ready to try again, letting out a small thank you and giving her a kiss on the cheek, which she was more then happy to return, after giving him a kiss on the cheek back, she let him go, and once again he lifted the phone to his ear again, "H...hey mags i'm b..back" he whispered into the phone. "Lincoln i'm starting to get really worried!" now maddie had been really worried the entire time, since the cryptic messages from her friends about something bad had happened to lincoln, but they wouldn't tell her more then that, and on that note she was gonna kill them all when she got back home, so she tried to call lincoln herself, but when he didn't answer the 200th call, she tried lori, and after 100 more calls she turned to her last desperate move, to ask her parents for help, and when they tried to call they got a hold of lori, and she finally got hope that she would learn what was going on with her lincoln, but to her dismay not even her parents would tell her what was going on, the only thing they told her was that lincoln was in the hospital and he would call her soon to explain the situation, and maddie had been losing her sanity ever since, her linky was in trouble, and he needed her right now, and now when she finally got a hold of him, she could hear something was terrible wrong with him, and it only served to make her even more worried.

"Lincoln what happened" she asked with a dark undertone, and lincoln could feel the anxiety build up in his body, but he had to tell her, "I tried to kill myself" he finally forced himself to say it, and for a moment everything was quiet, and lincoln was scared he had messed even more up, "M..mags" he whispered into the phone, but she didn't respond and he was starting to worry she had left the phone in anger, "B..babe?" he asked out again worry in his voice, but this time he would get a response, "is this joke?" came her reply, her voice cold as ice, "m...maddie i..i" he tried to speak, but he didn't know what to say, but he wouldn't get to say more, for he had unleashed the tsunami and there was no stopping it, "Please tell me this a joke...please lincoln tell me this is a joke" he could hear her voice breaking down, and he was ashamed that he couldn't say anything to calm her down, "I'm sorry..." was all he could say, and he knew it wouldn't help, "This isn't funny lincoln..." it broke his heart to hear her in so much pain, but he couldn't lie to her...no matter how much he wanted to at that moment, "I'm so sorry maddie" he said again, biting the insides of his checks in self anger, "PLEASE SAY YOU ARE LYING TOO ME BABE!" She yelled loud into the phone, and he could hear her finally break down, her loud sobbing was the final straw, and lincoln broke down again, sobbing loudly into the phone, saying sorry over and over again and again on repeat, hoping that it would make her forgive him. he could feel lori hug the top of his body to try and make him calm down again.

"W...why l...lincoln? why would you do this to yourself? was it because i didn't love you enough? b...because i promise i will do b...better!" she said all this through her heavy sobbing, and lincoln didn't think he could be anymore mad at himself then he already was, but he was proven wrong, maddie was blaming herself for all this, he had to stop her, and he had to stop her now! taking a deep breath to steady himself he tried to talk once more, "M...maddie please listen to me, this is not your fault at all...it's mine" he said trying to hold back his own sobs, but it didn't stop her from crying, it almost sounded like what he said made it worst! and he didn't know what to do, but then all of a sudden it got quiet on the other side of the phone, and he didn't know if maddie had finally hung up on him, but it wouldn't take him long to find out, "Lincoln...do you know what would have happened if i lost you?" she asked him in the most emotionless tone that he had ever heard in his life, and for a moment he was too scared to talk, "Do you?" she asked again in the same cold tone, "I..i don-" he tried to speak, but he couldn't make himself say anymore so he stayed silent instead, "I will tell you what would have happened...i would have killed myself" she said with the same cold tone, and lincoln let out a heartbreaking sob, and from what he could hear on the other line, maddie's mom heard what she said too from the loud gasp he heard in the background, he was too scared to answer her back, but that wouldn't stop her talking, "Lincoln...promise me that you will never do this again" she said with a tone that could freeze the entire ocean over, taking a deep gulp to steady himself, he tried to speak again, "I...i promise mags, i'm so so sorry" he said with tears slowly falling down from his eyes, and once again it became too quiet again, and it would be maddie to break the ice once again, "Why...why did you do this to yourself linky?" she asked emotion returning to her tone again, and for a moment lincoln thought about not telling her, but he was too scared what would happened if she found out on her own, now the only reason he didn't want to tell her was the thought of what she would do to chandler when she got her hands on him...but all he knew was it wouldn't be pretty, but he also knew he couldn't keep it a secret from her, so letting out a sigh he started to tell her everything.

He hoped he could hold her back from doing anything stupid...

Flashback End

He still felt guilty about everything, but he was just happy that things were slowly returning back to normal, but he was brought back to reality from the sound of his door being open, "Anyways lincoln i will let myself out, see you again after the weekend!" Janice said with a big smile, lincoln quickly turned around so he could say his own goodbye back, "Thanks for today miss Janice! hope you have a good weekend!" he said giving her a smile of his own, and with that he could hear her walk down the hallway and out the door, letting out a sigh he made his way out from his room and walked towards the front door to lock it, after locking it, lincoln had no idea what to do now, he could play some games while he was waiting for maddie to come over, deciding that is what he would do, but just as he was about to turn around he heard knocking on the door, did janice forget something? he thought to himself, he slowly unlocked the door once more, and just when he was about to open the door, it was slamed open, making him fall down on the floor, and before he could figure out what was going on, he felt someone sit on his crotch, but when he got his bearings back, he had to let out a big chuckle when he saw who it was that had saddled him, it was maddie, who had the biggest smile on her face.

"Hey linky~ i missed you so much!" she said with a voice full of glee, and before lincoln could answer back, she slamed her lips down on his, giving him a very hungry kiss, one he was more then happy to return, but sadly after a couple of minutes of kissing their lungs needed air again, lincoln could feel her pull away from him, the only thing still connecting them was the thin line of saliva that was hanging from their mouths, "I can s-see that" he whispered out of breath, and all maddie did was giggle at him, she finally got off him and turned around to close the door behide her, when he heard the little click that confirmed that the door was locked once more, he decided it was time for him to get up too, but just when he got up again, he felt maddie hug him from behide, he smiled to himself and put his hands on top of hers, "I missed you to mags...but how did you get here so quickly?" he had to ask, looking at the clock on wall the school would have just ended right now, but she only giggled in response, "I have my ways!" she sang out, she couldn't really tell him that she called in sick today while her parents were at work, she turned lincoln around so she could have eye contact with him, "okay lift them up" she said with a commanding tone, and he had to let out a sigh, knowing he had to do what she wanted, so he rolled up his sleeves to show her his wrists, and after a few seconds of her checking out his wrists she smiled at him, but before he could pull down his sleeves again, he felt her grab his one hand, then she started to slowly kiss his scars, when she was all done with his one arm, she switched to the another arm and started all over again, and after a few minutes of doing this, she let him go again, "No new scars! good job linky~" she said with a big smile on her face, she would do this every day when she came over to him or when he came over to her, he gave her a little smile back and rolled down his sleeves once again.

"So what do you want to do?" lincoln asked her, but maddie didn't answer him right away, instead she took off her backpack and dug up something from it, and when she helt it in front of him, did he finally realize what it was, it was a small bag full of cookies, when he turned his gaze from the bag in her hands to her face, she was looking away from him, her face clearly showing that she was blushing, "I...i baked these for you! and you better like them!" she yelled at him, and he couldn't hold back the chuckle that escaped from his lips, and maddie snapt her head back to him, a very angry gaze on her face, and in response lincoln started to laugh, before maddie could exploded at him, lincoln grabbed the small bag of cookies from her hands, and gave her a gentle kiss, one that calmed her down immediately, when he pulled away from her he gave her a grateful smile, "Thank you so much mags" he said with a happy tone, opening the bag, he slowly took out one of the cookies and brought it up to his lips, and the whole time he was doing this, maddie was staring at him the entire time, a huge blush on her face, and when he finally put it in his mouth and bit down on it, her entire body shook with delight for a moment, after a few minutes of chewing lincoln finally swallowed the whole thing, and he did not see the small amount of drool that fell from maddie's lips.

"Wow they are really good babe! what did you put in them?" he asked her, and maddie quickly shook her head to clear her mind from the fun thoughts she was having, "Oh nothing special...just lots of love" she said with a perverted giggle, and lincoln started to chuckle at how cute she was, what he did not know was that she meant it literally, but she wasn't about to tell him how she used her own hair in the baking process.

"So what do you want to do?" lincoln asked her, and maddie struck a thinking pose, "Hmmm we could play some games? or we could go out...OR we could fool around~" she said with a perverted smile, and lincoln returned it with one of his own, "You know you are turning me into a pervert~" he said as he pushed her up against the wall, and she only giggled in response and wrapped her arms around his neck, "Thats the plan~" she whispered in a sultry tone, she pulled his head into hers and slamming their lips together, and for several minutes all that could be heard in the room was the sound of kissing and moaning, until they were interrupted by the sound of a phone ringing, lincoln could feel it was his since it was in his pocket, he pulled away from the kiss and tried to reach into his pocket to see who it was, but maddie was NOT happy about him stopping her lincoln time, so she grabbed his arm...hard, "Ignore it..." she said with a dark forceful tone, but lincoln was used to her possessive tendencies by now, he gave her a little smile and kissed her nose, which helped her calm down a little, "What if it's lori? you know how worried she gets if i don't answer" he said to her in a gentle tone, and she let out a sigh in response, letting his arm go at the same time, "Fine...but we are going right back where we left off" she said to him with a possessive tone, and he only laughed a little in response, putting his hand in his pocket and dug out his phone, and when he saw the caller id he got a little confused, it was sam, but why was she calling him? didn't she have band practice today, he lifted the phone up to his ear to find out what was going on.

"Hey sam what's up?" lincoln asked into the phone, but what he wasn't prepared for was the scared voice that answered him back, "LINCOLN PLEASE TELL ME YOU ARE NOT OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW!" sam screamed at him through the phone, "N-no sam i'm home right now, please clam down" lincoln said to her, and he could hear sam breathe out a little thank god, "Sam whats going on, what's gotten into you?" he asked her in a gentle tone, "Lincoln you haven't heard? chandler got attacked last night" she said her tone full of fear, but lincoln couldn't understand why that had sam so scared, now lincoln wasn't happy about chandler getting attacked, but still why was sam so scared...wait how did sam know about chandler getting attacked anyways, but he would soon find out how she knew...and why she was so scared, "Lincoln it's pretty serious...someone cut off his hand" sam said with a very quiet tone of voice, and lincoln could feel all his heir on his body stand up in fear, now he had never been a big fan of chandler, especially after what happened in school, but that was to much, plus chandler had already gotten his punishment, he had been expelled from school, and thanks to lori his family was getting never ending hate online and in public and thanks to all that hate, the sewage plant that chandler's father works in had also been getting alot of hate online, and because of that his dad was being moved to a different plant in california...and that means chandler was moving too, which means that he was losing all his friends...well the few he has left but still.

And for a moment lincoln didn't know what to say, but thankfully sam was not done talking, "The police still don't know who did it, but chandler told them it was a guy that attacked him, lincoln please promise me that you won't go outside today, if you guys need anything i will get it for you, but please promise me!" she asked him, her tone full of worry, "I promise sam" he said nodding at the same time, forgetting for a moment that sam could not see through the phone, and after a few more minutes of talking, sam had to finally go back to her band practice, but she promised that she would talk to lori for him so she wouldn't go full on mama bear mode a drive all the way home to check on them, giving her a quick i love you back, lincoln hung up on her, he slowly lowered his phone back into his pocket once again.

When lincoln's gaze finally returned to maddie, his skin was pale...more then usually, and that got maddie real worried, "Linky what's wrong!" she yelled out, hugging him closer to her body again, and after lincoln took a deep breath he started to explain everything to her, and when he was finally done, all maddie did was shake her shoulders, "Who cares?" was all that maddie said in response, and lincoln got a shocked look on his face from her cold response, "Maddie!" he yelled at her in a shocked tone, but suddenly lincoln was turned around and was slammed into the wall he was holding maddie up against just a moment ago, and when he got his bearings back he saw a very angry looking maddie, who was holding him against the wall "Why would i care about someone who hurt you linky!? i nearly lost you beacuse of him!" she yelled back at him, tears slowly falling down from her eyes.

Lincoln understood that he had messed up, he forgot for a moment that maddie was still very shook up by his suicide attempt, so of course she would act this way, slowly lincoln managed to wrap his arms around her and hug her close to him, he could feel her cry into his shoulder, and he slowly started to rub her back gently, "I'm s-sorry mags...i didn't mean to yell at you" he whispered gently to her, and after a few minutes she finally calmed down a little, "Look mags about you go and sit down in the sofa and relax, and i will go and get us some snacks?" he asked her with a small smile, and she slowly nodded a yes in response, he gave her a little kiss on the forehead before he let her go, and made his way into the kitchen, and maddie slowly turned around and made her way into the living room.

And now sitting on the sofa, she couldn't stop the giggle that escaped from her lips, lincoln was just so cute, but that is not why she giggled, no the reason was the now one handed boy called chandler, "Silly chandler...just because someone is stronger then you doesn't mean that person is a boy" she whispered to herself, he was lucky she didn't kill him out right, no one hurts her lincoln and get's away with it, but now she had something more important to think about.

How she was gonna get her linky back in the mood.
