The Supernatural World.
An ancient conceptual location in which place predates time itself. Naturally form during the time of the Beginning, the Supernatural World vastly evolved through time, now supporting the dwelling existences of all Mythologies and Otherworldly Beings. From Spirits to Beasts. From Immortal to Gods. From Gods to Primordials.
The planet of Earth, the other half of the Supernatural World. Its main inhabitants; Humans; Earthlings; Mortals. Ignorant of the other world, and thinking only for themselves as the intelligent species, despite being aware of the stars in the cosmos. With the secret powers of the supernatural, some suspect the workings of the miracles, and some do not. The Supernatural World's workings differ from Humanity's Science. But, one can wonder, what were to happen if they intervene with one another. If Mortals meet Immortals. From logic to illogic.
What will Humanity's course of action be?
Takamagahara.
In the Shinto Mythology of Japan, Takamagahara is known as the abode of the heavenly gods called Amatsukami. Located upwards in the sky at the peak of Mt. Takachiho-no-Mine, only connected to the Earth by the divine bridge Ame-no-Ukihashi.
From the top of the clouds rose one of the peaks that made up the Kirishima mountain range. An active stratovolcano with a beautifully pointed peak formed through repeated volcanic eruptions. Above the clouds, invisible to mortals, Takamagahara resides in a somewhat infinite space.
In the eyes of a mortal, Mount Takachiho's decapitated peak is under the clouds, its highest point covered in volcanic rocks and pebbles. Yellowed green nature grass covers the entire body of the volcano, following lush trees that spread miles to kilometers.
Clinging to the mountainside, magically concealed by the eyes of mortals, were seemed as if it is a vast wide village, full of multileveled Japanese houses. Shinto palaces, belonging to the twelve noble clans of Japan are scattered among the grand village. Roads everywhere, all of them leading to a single road up to the volcano, connected to Ame-no-Ukihashi. Open-air market stationed amongst the village, visibly huge shrines linked to all known Kami spread, two large lakes in the north and east, and a humongous coliseum arena somewhere visibly far on the west. All houses in the village are surrounded by flora grass and flowers, adding to the elegant sight of Mother Nature herself.
Affiliated with Takamagahara, the twelve noble clans of the Takachiho village; Minamoto, Taira, Fujiwara, Tachibana, Akahoshi, Abe, Mononobe, Nakatomi, Ōtome, Soga, Sugawara, and Hata. Twelve Clans, Twelve Families of power of Takamagahara.
The Akahoshi Clan, perceived as literally the Redstar Clan, ranked fifth in power and skills, followed by the Abe Clan. The mastery of their usage in the heritage ability 'Red Star Technique', allows them to create and control the fiery energy of a red star, passing through the bloodline of the Akahoshi.
The Akahoshi Estate, carved in mostly red color, with golden linings, with cosmic designs imprinted on the walls, ceilings, and floors, as well as even furniture. The emblem is fitting in obviousness, a crimson red colored star, this symbol is engraved from doors to the seats of the Akahoshi Council and the thrones of the rulers.
The Estate itself stands incredibly large and no doubt is mistaken as a Shinto castle instead of a compound, with this factual information, he could get easily lost amongst the hallways of the mansion-estate-compound-castle-like grand home. Lost like a young pup in an unfamiliar territory that is not the area near his house inside the palace, the palace that is certainly full of experienced adult wolves exceeding dangerous intents.
With him currently lost.
Yes, lost,
In the hallways.
His steps echoed across the strangely empty hallways. Naturally, this is even suspicious in his young but intelligent mind. It's rare to see Akahoshi Estate hallways without an Akahoshi except him around here, the estate is nearly full of members after all.
'Didn't Grandfather Kai mention there will be a gathering today?'
He is a young teenager, at 16 years old at least, wearing a clear white jacket with a folded collar, under it is a red tan sweater vest, a part of black pants, and brown shoes. A fairly lean muscular physique, yet somewhat partly scrawny and underweight. The boy has cowlick light-shaded brown hair reaching the back of his neck, and dark green eyes, reminiscing the nature of forest and emerald ore.
'Aha! There it is!'
He turn left and walked toward the medium-sized doors and push on one of them silently, peeking slightly inside, instantly hearing the commotion in the very huge room.
"–and upon the words of our first Emperor, his highness Jimmu Tennō, the operations of missions and quests all will be temporarily suspended across every single clan! The exact term of this suspension is currently not known–"
He blocked out the announcing words of his grandfather and glanced across the very huge room, seeing a variety of his family members here—which he still has a hard time believing since his birth—precisely everywhere most of them wearing red and with the Akahoshi symbol in their clothes.
"Pst! Pst!"
He blinks back to his current situation, peeking from the door, and searching for whoever's calling... him. There in the crowd, he could see a young girl with orange eyes and gray hair calling him beside another girl three years younger than him with red eyes and long dark brown hair. With the former gesturing him to them, visibly brightening when he saw them.
"Tatsumi!"
The young 16 years old boy with green eyes now known as Tatsumi, a member of the Akahoshi, quickly steps inside and silently closes the door before tiptoeing toward the two girls unnoticed by the crowd.
"Hey Karasun, Bibara."
Karasun, the orange-eyed girl, and red-eyed Bibara of the Akahoshi. His younger second sister and third cousin from his father's third sibling respectively.
Karasun quickly hugs Tatsumi discreetly who hugs her back, Bibara nod at him, with him returning the greeting.
"You are late, Tatsumi." Bibara addresses him with a polite gesture, Karasun letting go.
"Ah sorry," Tatsumi sheepishly rubs the back of his head with an apology look, "Just wondering where everyone disappears to until I remember we are having a gather for a proclamation."
"You were clearly there with us," Karasun gestures to their cousin and herself, "-when we were notified of the announcement."
"It would seem your memory is failing you." Bibara amuses, tilting her head while doing a multi-task of listening to Grandfather Kai and talking to her cousin.
"Ha ha, funny," Tatsumi rolls his eyes slightly, "So what did I miss? I came just in time to hear his highness emperor banning the missions."
"Suspended temporarily." Bibara corrects him, "We were inquired about our current status, the Akahoshi is tasked with increasing our training regiments, we were informed of the news of the Reality Anomaly, and due to this, the quests are on-hold."
Tatsumi blinked at the information, processing it before Bibara's words smack his mentality. His face paled,
'The Reality Anomaly?!'
Destiny must be cruel today, there had been no news about the Reality Anomaly for about two months, and it suddenly appear today.
Nobody knew about the Reality Anomaly except it is, as its alias implied, an anomaly in reality itself. A being that was not supposed to exist at all, either mortal or immortal. When the news of the anomaly was delivered to the village, everyone could see that the gods are even shaking no matter how some are trying to hide it. That's when they knew, that whatever the being is, it is enough to make even major gods radiate fear.
"And w-what is this news?" Tatsumi quietly asked her, "The anomaly is discovered to be located somewhere in Asia." Bibara slightly gulped at her words, which said words made Karasun and Tatsumi pale more.
'Asia?!' Tatsumi thought with a frightened expression. The being of unknown existence is uncovered to be in the continent of Asia, to which their home country Japan is at?!
As if reading his mind but knew him too much in reality, Bibara nodded, "It was both Goddess Hecate of Greece and Mother Fate working together that they knew about it. Divine champions and minor gods are currently being dispatched in Asia to search."
Tatsumi slowly nodded, his respect for the two divinities went up, he hopes that the anomaly will be found and put down. He can't bear to see his family be in great danger.
Karasun intervenes while somehow also reading his mind, "Don't worry brother Tatsumi, someone will catch that non-existence being and the gods will slay it!" She innocently declared with her voice leaking a lot of volume. Thankfully, grandfather Kai's voice seems to be louder and nobody is paying attention to the three.
Tatsumi agrees with her to the fullest, but yet, why does he feel like his young sister just stab his back with her own hands? Why does he feel... betrayed?
Tatsumi shook his head inconspicuously. There's no use thinking about something that will not happen at all.
Before Tatsumi could open his mouth to say something, the three notice the large noise of the crowd around them. They looked around and could see the doors wide open, and people exiting the halls.
"W-what? What's going on?" Karasun raises a question, "The announcement is already over." Bibara answered her.
"I guess we didn't notice, we were busy talking." Tatsumi lets out, referring to Karasun and him, unlike Bibara who was partially listening.
He looked around seeing his family members everywhere—again, still having a hard time—slowly decreasing in numbers from the main room. Among them, he found his aunts, uncles, mother, and father close to his grandfather. They seemed to be talking about something important, judging from their serious expressions. Oh wait, they always talk about something important.
Karasun grabs Tatsumi's hand along with Bibara, "Come on you two, let's go somewhere to have fun." She led them to the exit while dragging them.
"What kind of fun do you propose we do?" Bibara piqued, trying to keep up with her cousin's fast pace. "How about training?" Tatsumi suggested, not noticing Bibara's eyes brightening up at the idea.
"Training it is!" Karasun then decided to go full running, forcibly hauling her poor victims behind her who trip multiple times, dashing across the halls, bulldozing other people along the way, and then exiting from the estate's backdoors deeply into the forests.
A few minutes later, she then immediately stops at an empty huge clearing, her hands letting go of what she's holding, causing Tatsumi and Bibara to be tossed and hurled away into a tall tree, their heads resounding a bang before they fell like leathers into a pile.
"Aaand we're here!" Karasun cheered while jumping up and down like the young innocent sis she is. A few moments pass before she notices the clearing clear quiet. She looked around and saw her big brother and cousin stacked far away from her to the other end of the lawn, both knocked out and releasing weak groans of pain.
