DISCLAIMER I DO NOT OWN BROTHERS CONFLICT IN ANYWAY SHAPE OR FORM
"Oh Roza! Roza calm down please," Ema said as she put her hand into Roza's incubator and gently rubbed her baby's belly. Roza gradually stopped crying and relax more.
"Look at you, you have a natural mother talent," Dr. Kumi praised as she examined Roza herself.
"Thank you," Ema said bashful.
"Of course she does, Ema has a natural way of wanting to care for everyone around her," Natsume said as he turned his attention to the other three babies. He put his hand into Hayase's incubator first and he like his sister, gripped it quickly, while looking at Natsume curiously.
"Hello son," Natsume said. He decided to try and put his other hand into Boton's incubator as well. When he did, Boton didn't seem too interested as Hayase and Roza had though.
Ema meanwhile tried putting her hand into Amaya's incubator as well. Amaya only gave the slightest of interest in holding Ema's finger. She only gave Ema a quick glance before turning her head and falling asleep again.
"Oh, poor Amaya must be really tired, huh?" Ema said.
"Yeah, but that is normal behavior," Dr. Osango assured her.
Ema nodded before noticing Roza looking towards her and, how interested Hayase seemed in Natsume with Boton, not so much. It seemed interesting that Hayase and Roza seemed so similar in mannerism with Boton and Amaya similar to each other.
'I wonder if Hayase and Roza will remain similar in personality and Boton and Amaya as they grow,' Ema thought.
Suddenly she started to yawn herself.
"Do we need to get you back to your room to rest?" Natsume quickly asked.
"No," Ema tried to protest.
"You should go rest," Dr. Senzoku encouraged, "you need to keep up your strength so you go home yourself and keep up with your babies once you all have."
"Well, okay," Ema reluctantly agreed. She felt Natsume take her hand and help her sit back down.
"I'll come back babies, I promise! And in the meantime I'll be watching you from your monitors okay?" Ema said as she was wheeled out.
Natsume walked out with her.
"They'll be fine, the doctors have to help look after them still," he said as they headed back to Ema's room.
"Mmm," Ema nodded.
"They said that at least Hayase should be healthy enough to go home by next week," Natsume continued to tell her.
"Oh yeah?" Ema said happily, "what about the other three?"
"They said Boton and Amaya should be soon after. They have a little ways more to go," Natsume said, "as for Roza, well, it's going to take a little longer for her since she's the smallest and has a little more work to do before she's safe to leave."
"Oh poor Roza," Ema said, "I hope she won't have to deal with that her whole life."
"I'm sure she won't," Natsume said. Though he too was a little worried about what would be in-store for Roza's future given how her start has begun.
Just then they heard a ding from the elevator.
At first they paid it no mind until they realized who came out.
"Ema!" Haruhi said happily when she saw the pair.
"Ema!" Kyo also exclaimed as she too came out.
"Hey what brings you two by?" Natsume asked as he stopped pushing Ema's wheelchair.
"We came to see Ema and congratulate her!" Haruhi said.
"We ran into each other at the entrance," Kyo explained as she presented Ema with a bouquet of flowers, "Iori told me I should bring these."
"Thank you," Ema said as she accepted them.
"I'm just taking her to her room for rest," Natsume said as he tried to push her along.
"Oh sure," Haruhi said, "we both got the codes of your babies' monitors! They're so cute!"
"Thank you," Ema called back.
"Yeah, they look good, considering how small they are," Kyo said, "I hope they keep growing up well."
"The doctors say they should," Natsume said.
"That's good," Kyo said, putting a hand on her own belly.
Haruhi looked at her.
"Hey don't worry, I'm sure your kid's going to be born safe," she said.
"I hope so," Kyo said with a heavy sigh. "This shouldn't have happened! I shouldn't have gotten pregnant like this! I shouldn't be marrying Iori like this! What if I do lose it? What's going to happen to our relationship? We should have been more careful! We should have been sure we wanted to get married first. Not practically forced like this!"
"Whoa," Haruhi said, a little surprised by Kyo's sudden rant. "Hey, don't sweat it. I'm sure you'll be fine, even if...," She paused and knocked on the wall, "something does happen to your baby, you and Iori will stick it through, tough it out."
"Thanks," Kyo said softly, with a smile, "I guess my biggest wish is that I wasn't having to force Iori into marriage like this."
"You're not forcing me Kyo," the two suddenly heard Iori say.
"How long have you been there?" Kyo asked.
"Enough to hear Haruhi telling you we could make if," he too paused and knocked on the wall, "something sadly does happen to the our baby. I like to think we will stay together."
"Why don't I give you some alone time," Haruhi said as she headed down the way Iori had come from.
"Look, I know it wasn't ideal for us to get pregnant right now, but you know I am still thrilled with the idea of being parents together."
"Even with the forced marriage?" Kyo asked.
"I don't see that as a forced marriage, I see it as putting on a show for your mother's entertainment," Iori said, "we could get married right now and still have the big ceremony for her benefit. Heck even if we still have the big show first, we can still do a sperate ceremony on our own, for when we want to really get married."
"Putting on a show for mom. I like it," Kyo said. She wrapped her arms around Iori. "As long as you're not feeling forced by all of this. I'd never want to force you into anything."
"I know, and if I felt forced I would have mentioned it a lot sooner," Iori assured her.
"Good," Kyo said, as she suddenly felt Iori's hand on her belly.
"I should warn you, we won't be able to use the name Boton now if its a boy. Natsume and Ema named their second son that."
"Yuke, good, I don't like that name," Kyo declared.
Iori smirked and kissed her forehead.
"I'm sure we'll find a good name for our son," he said as he led her to the lobby.
"Whoa, who says its a boy?" Kyo asked.
"I don't know, I guess I just had boys on the mind," Iori said.
"Hey," Haruhi said as walked into the lobby and sat herself down in Tsubaki's lap. "Did you miss me?"
"Only every second you weren't here," Tsubaki said, "how'd you like seeing the kids?"
"They're tiny, but cute," Haruhi said, "they say anything about how long they'll be stuck in there?"
"Uh, no, now that you mentioned it," Azusa said, "then again, the doctors might not have had a chance to inform Natsume and Ema themselves."
"Oh yeah, they're probably too exhausted to care," Haruhi said, "poor Ema looked so worn out."
"You saw her?" Tsubaki asked.
"Yeah, just now, when Kyo and I showed up. I think she and Natsume were coming out of the NIC-ICU."
"So that's who's hands those were," Tsubaki said, "thought they looked familiar."
"You recognize hands?" Haruhi asked.
"Certain ones," Tsubaki said shrugging his shoulders.
Haruhi giggled at his words before turning her attention to a different interest.
"What's with her?" she suddenly asked. Tsubaki and Azusa all looked where she was looking. There they saw Emiko fawning over Yusuke who looked both embarrassed but happy at Emiko's actions towards him.
"I don't know, they came back here acting like that," Azusa said.
"Oh, Yusuke, said he wants to marry me!" Emiko said.
That earned all the attention from all the family members in the lobby with them.
"No way, you purposed!" Tsubaki asked.
"Uh no, no, not yet," Yusuke quickly said.
"But he says he wants to! And that makes me so happy!" Emiko added, "I was worried about if our relationship was going anywhere and then he just told me he wants to marry me when we're both good and ready!"
"Yeah, that," Yusuke said, "I didn't realize you were questioning our relationship like that. Guess I should have told you I did want to marry you."
"Because you're an idiot, idiot," Futo said, smacking Yusuke upside the head, "I've made it clear to Keitorin that I intend to marry her someday, when we're ready. She knows where our relationship is and where it's going. Guess we have a better relationship than you do with your girlfriend."
"Oh shut it, Idol!" Emiko snapped before returning to fawning over Yusuke. That earned her a chuckle from at least Hikaru, Kaname, Tsubaki and Haruhi.
"Now, now, we don't want any negativity on a happy day like this," Miwa spoke up, "in fact, in honor of this special day, and everyone being here, why don't we all go out to dinner to celebrate the quadruplets' birth?"
That earned a wave of approval from her family.
"What a nice idea Mother," Masaomi said.
"And spread the word around to the others not here to join us," Miwa encouraged.
Iori and Kyo kept hugging happily when they were distracted by the elevator opening.
"Iori! Kyo! Hello!" Mie said happily.
"Oh, Mie, you made it, welcome," Iori said.
"Yeah, any new updates?" Mie asked looking around.
"Not that we've heard," Iori said.
"Other than Ema was well enough to go see the babies for a brief moment," Kyo s
"Well, at least we can say No New Is Good News," Mie joked.
"True," Iori agreed. He looked towards Kyo before addressing Mie again.
"We are glad you're here, we hoping we can talk to you."
"Oh yes, is it about your wedding?" Mie asked.
"The girl's a natural," Kyo said.
"I actually may have a place that might work for you," Mie said as she pulled out her phone, "I've done a little research and found a few of our tropic theme hotels and resorts, and here's some that might work for you. If only for your reception."
Iori and Kyo looked at her screen.
"Wow, you this is a little research?" Kyo asked.
"Oh dear, did I mess up your actual desires?" Mie asked.
"Oh no, the opposite," Iori assured her, "any one of these would work perfectly."
"I think Mother will have to have final say personally," Kyo said.
"Oh yes, that would be wisest," Iori agreed.
"Let me know if and when I should send it to her," Mie started to offer when a text alert appeared on the screen.
"Oh, Subaru sent me a text," Mie said happily.
"Hey where are you? Were you planning on coming to the hospital at all? Even if you're not, Mom's saying we should go to dinner to celebrate the quadruplets' birth. You want to join?'
"Oh, your mother wants to treat us to dinner in honor of the babies," she told Iori and Kyo.
"Sounds like Mother," Iori said, "let's head back to the lobby."
"Maybe I can get us into a nice restaurant," Mie said happily.
"And that's typical Mie," said Kyo, "you ever think her and your mom are going to clash over things like this?"
Iori had to think about it.
"Mom's not one to pick a fight among family. I doubt she'll argue with Mie over things like this unless she really wants something. In which case, I doubt Mie's one to argue with her."
"That's good," Kyo said, "something tells me she and my mom are going to clash."
"Good luck to your mom then," Iori said with confidence.
"Dinner, huh?" Louis said looking at his phone. "Sounds like a good idea." He smiled at Juli, "too bad you can't come too."
"Eh," Juli said shrugging his shoulders. He was too busy watching the monitor of the babies.
"Well take care Juli, I'm sure Chi, Natsume and the babies will be home before you know it," Louis said as he got up to go.
"Yeah, thanks," Juli said calmly.
Louis shook his head before officially heading out.
Just as he was out in hallway and shutting the door, he overheard another door opening.
"Louis, is that you?" Sunako asked from her bedroom's doorway.
"Oh hello Sunako," Louis said, "I had just come by to do a favor for Chi."
"Oh, yeah, sure," Sunako said. "Did you get a message from your mom about going out for a celebratory dinner?"
"I did, though I'm not sure yet where we're meeting," Louis said, "want a ride?"
"Sure, I can come home after with Azusa," Sunako accepted, "did you want to possibly pick up Yuki as well?"
"Oh yes, I should look into that," Louis said as he texted his girlfriend.
"Did you share her the codes for the babies cameras?" Sunako asked as she walked beside him.
"Yes, I did. She's ecstatic about it," Louis said happily, "as am I."
"Get you more excited for your baby?" Sunako asked.
"Very," Louis said, "I wish I could almost speed up time just so I could hold her in my arms!"
"Her?" Sunako asked.
"Or him," Louis corrected himself, "I guess there's a small part of me that's convinced or wishfully hoping for a girl."
"Really? Interesting," Sunako said, "I wonder if I'll have that type of feeling if or when I start having kids."
"Are you and Azusa making plans?" Louis asked curious.
"Nothing serious, but every now and then, when we're having a nice calm moment to ourselves, the subject comes up. Mostly just speculations. Although, our last talk actually turned a little serious," Sunako admitted, "and, I liked what we discussed. It made me feel happy about our relationship."
"That's nice to hear Sunako," Louis said with a smile, "hopefully things continue that way with you two."
"Thanks," Sunako said, "I will admit, I was never sure if I wanted kids before this, before meeting Azusa and his family. Spending time with them, including the kids, really made me think that maybe I would like one someday."
"Yeah?" Louis said, "I guess we just have that affect on people."
"Eh, good be worst, could have convinced me that the human race should be destroyed," Sunako said nonchalantly.
Louis looked at her with an interesting smirk.
"You didn't just get an inspiration for a new series?" he asked.
"I think I have. See, your family's awesome!" Sunako insisted.
Ema was a little startled by Natsume hoisting her up in his arms, carrying her bridal style to her bed.
"You really did great today," he praised her, "I couldn't believe how well you handled giving birth to all four of the babies like. Then again, you seemed to be handling your whole pregnancy with a lot more ease than I would have thought possible."
"Thank you Natsume," Ema said, right as Natsume laid her down. He then kissed her.
"I mean it, you did an amazing job and I have no doubt you'll continue now that we're actually parents," he continued before kissing Ema again.
"Mmm," Ema moaned, "is it wrong that I have to admit I want you?"
"Nah, I've heard it's a normal feeling for women after giving birth," Natsume assured her, "but we'll have to wait till you've recovered a little."
Ema looked down at herself.
"Yes, you're right," she said softly.
"You want to get something to eat or get some more rest?" Natsume asked.
Ema pondered the two choices.
"I, I guess I am a little hungry," she finally decided.
Natsume handed her a menu. "nothing too big, you don't want to overindulge yourself."
"Yes, I know," Ema said, looking through her options.
"Sorry, just want to make sure you recover," Natsume said.
"I know that too," Ema said happily.
"Hey, how's everything?" Mie asked as she and Subaru came into the room.
"Hi Mie, happy to see you," Ema said.
"Just wanted to see you before we all go to dinner," Mie said.
"Did you want to come, Natsume?" Subaru asked.
"You should go with them, Natsume," Ema encouraged, "you should go get yourself a good meal."
"Nah, I'd rather stay here with you," Natsume said, "I'll be okay."
"You sure?" Ema asked.
"Yeah, I'm good here," Natsume assured.
"Well okay, I'll let Mom know," Subaru said.
"Congratulations again," Mie said, "your babies look so precious!"
"Thank you, I think so too!" Ema said with pride.
"Let's let them rest and get back to the others," Subaru said, pulling Mie away to the door.
"Right, " Mie said, even though she seemed more interested in Ema and Natsume.
"When will you be able to bring the babies home?"
"Don't know yet," Natsume said, "but hopefully, not too long with most."
"I can't wait, I want to be able to hold one for real!" Mie said happily.
"I'm sure there's going to be a line," Subaru teased as he finally managed to get Mie out. He turned and smiled at his brother and sister.
"This has been a great day, I hope you both keep going strong," he said before finally leaving himself.
"There is going to be a line when they're ready to go home and be held, won't there?" Ema asked with a smirk.
"Oh probably," Natsume said reluctantly, "though even when they're brought home, there's going to be some strict guidelines for coming near the babies! In fact, I should make sure I establish the rules before we even start bringing them home!"
He was drawn out of his thoughts by Ema touching his shoulder.
"Why don't we worry about that a little later? Since you're not going out to dinner with the family, you should still get yourself something to eat from the cafeteria," she said.
"Good point," Natsume agreed, "I'll go do that real fast and bring my food up here."
He kissed Ema's cheek before walking out.
As Natsume waited for the elevator, he was surprised by the sound of a not so pleasant voice.
"It's about time I was admitted! I want a decent room for this! I kept telling you people I was ready, but would you listen? NO! And now I have to deal with these dumb contractions and everything!"
Natsume did her best to ignore the unpleasant woman he and Ema had encounter when they first arrived.
"Hey, honey, look!" he heard her husband say.
"Oh, Mr. Special treatment!" the wife started to go off.
Natsume moaned before briefly casting the couple a glance, along with the poor attendant wheeling the woman in a wheelchair. The woman was still heavily pregnant.
"They let you in when you clearly weren't ready, yet not us?" the woman asked snidely.
"Ma'am, for your information, we were told to check in two days early to make sure we were in good shape to deliver our quadruplets," Natsume muttered. "Now would you mind leaving me alone and finding another victim to pick on to make yourself feel superior?"
"What did you just say to my wife!" her husband snapped, taking a step closer to Natsume.
"I'm not playing the victim game with you and your wife. I have more important things to focus on. I am now the father of four babies and they require far more attention than your pitiful need for attention. In fact this is the last conversation I plan to ever have with you. Unless it's a life of death situation," Natsume said sternly.
"You think you're better than us or something?" the wife asked mad.
Natsume ignored her and instead turned his attention to the elevator.
"Hey, I'm talking to you!" the woman snapped again.
Natsume continued to ignore her, right as his elevator finally showed up.
"Hey! Don't you...!"
Natsume walked straight into the elevator and hit the button to the cafeteria floor.
"Why that son of a...!" He heard the woman shout just as the door shut.
'God I hope we don't have to see this woman again after we leave the hospital permanently,' Natsume thought, 'I worry for her child, even if she's carrying the antichrist! Of course she would be the best choice for its mother.'
"Hey," Natsume said calmly as he came back to Ema's room with a tray of food.
"Hi," Ema greeted, already eating herself, "sorry I didn't wait. The minute the food arrived...,"
"It's okay, I understand," Natsume assured her, as he moved a table closer to her bed so they could eat together.
"Has there been any movement with the quads?"
"Nothing too serious," Ema said, "I think I saw them drawing blood from Roza at one point, but other than that they've just been resting."
Natsume nodded, looking towards the monitor himself. The babies did indeed seem to be resting peacefully. It was a lovely sight.
"Oh guess who I ran into on the way to the cafeteria?" he mentioned bitterly.
"Who?" Ema asked.
"That same woman who got mad at us when we checked in. I guess she's finally ready to give birth," Natsume muttered.
"Oh, well, good for her I guess," Ema sputtered.
"She's a very bitter woman," Natsume kept saying.
"Maybe she's just cranky over being pregnant. Some women can get that way, especially towards the end," Ema suggested.
"Maybe, I don't care. I just want to be her victim," Natsume muttered.
"Well, at the very least we probably see her ever again. So let it be," Ema said.
"That's what I'm trying to do," Natsume said. He seriously did hope to not see the woman or her husband again, even while they were still at the hospital.
The next day, Ema found herself trying to be patient while she and Natsume listen to Dr. Senyu and a nutrition specialist discussing with her about helping her to lose her baby weight. However, she kept looking at the monitor at her babies, wanting more to go see them in person.
"...and maybe after a month we can also see about some minor surgery to lose some of the weight as well," the nutritionist mentioned.
"Okay," Ema said, fighting the natural pull of her children's images.
The other three adults could easily see how hard she was trying to pay attention.
"And we can discuss this some more later," the nutritionist suggested.
"I'm sorry!" Ema quickly said, "I can turn this off."
"No, it's fine, I'm sure you got the just on it and we can give you the information later as well," Dr. Senyu assured her, "in the meantime, we'll let you go do what you want to do, aka go see your babies."
"Thank you," Ema said embarrassed, but happy to be allowed to go do what she wanted.
Natsume helped her into the wheelchair again and moved her to the door.
"I didn't mean to not pay attention back there," Ema said as they made their way to the NIC-ICU.
"It's okay, you heard what the doctor said. We'll get the info later. Plus I'm sure Tomori knows a lot of this stuff and can help us with it too," Natsume said, "I was having a hard time paying attention myself. I want to see them in person too."
Soon they were back in the NIC-ICU and at their babies incubators.
Natsume rolled Ema as close to the center of all four so she could see all the babies while he headed to the doctors who were already there going over some of their folders.
"Good morning everyone," Natsume said with a head bow, "has anything new developed among our babies?"
"Everything seems to be stables with all four," Dr. Senzoku spoke up.
"Including Roza?" Ema asked from her location.
"Oh yes," Dr. Kumi assured her.
"In fact we have some good news in regards to one of your babies," Dr. Senzoku said as she walked over to Hayase's incubator. Carefully, she unhooked a few of his attachments and pulled him out of the incubator.
Ema gasped as she did.
"Is this safe?" Natsume asked, a little cautious.
"It is," Dr. Senzoku promised as she carried it to Hayase to Ema, "the recent tests we did on him this morning proved that he can be taken out of his incubator for brief periods and you can hold him for real."
"Oh my gosh!" Ema said softly as she accepted her son in her arms. She felt a warm feeling spread through her body as she cradled him close. Hayase looked up her with tired and curious eyes.
"Hi," Ema said softly, "remember me? I'm your mommy."
Natsume watched Ema holding the baby with both shock and happiness. He even pulled out his phone and snapped a few pictures of it.
"Ema, look at me," he instructed, "I want to get a good picture of you smiling while holding Hayase."
Ema quickly did as she was told.
"Do you want to hold him next?" she offered once he was done taking the last picture.
"Probably shouldn't," Dr. Senzoku advised. "I think we should keep it one person at a time. In fact, I think your time is up. We should get him back into the incubator."
"Oh, okay," Ema said reluctantly, "when or will Natsume be allowed to hold Hayase?"
"Yes, in I'd say at least two or three hours later, we can let him have a turn," Dr. Senzoku said.
"Is that going to be the time frame for letting Hayase out of his incubator?" Natsume asked.
"Yes," Dr. Senzoku said as she went to try and get Hayase from Ema. Ema was about to reluctantly hand him back over when she and everyone else in the room was distracted by a commotion outside.
"You can't be in here!" a voice warned.
"I was given permission! I'm supposed to meet them in here!" another, more annoying voice shouted back.
"That voice," Ema said timidly.
"Is that," Natsume said as he moved over to her and put his arm on her shoulder for protection as the door was open, and walked in Kai, looking smug as usual.
"Kai," Ema said weakly.
"Who is this woman and why is she in here!" Dr. Osango demanded as he actually moved to her and blocked her from moving further in.
"I don't recall anyone getting permission to come in here!"
"I was given permission, I'm here to do an interview for an article for The Good Mother magazine, from DRAGON DRAW publishing," Kai insisted.
"Ugh, that dumb magazine!" Dr. Kumi said, "that magazine is nothing but garbage filled with misinformation!"
"We never agreed to any interview, especially one with you!" Natsume started to say.
"What? Of course you did. You said you'd let me in the day after the delivery to get some good pictures of the babies and do an article," Kai said, "speaking of which."
She pulled out a camera.
"Oh no!" Natsume said as he joined Dr. Osango in blocking her, and putting his hand in front of the camera. "No pictures!"
"Alright, we'll do the pictures later!" Kai said putting the camera away, "in the meantime, Ema, who's the baby you're holding? And why just him or her? What makes this baby so special that you're hold him or her and no others? Are you going to hold the other three? How safe and healthy are all four babies? Are any of them near death's door? Could we have a tragedy on our hands with a the death of one? And if so, who?"
"What kind of of questions are these!" Dr. Kawari asked, joining the blocking shield.
"Just standard questions," Kai insisted, "but by your reaction, is one close to death?" Ema could see her smirk through some of gaps of the human shield around her, "it would be so sad if you one of them did die, wouldn't it Carrying a baby for seven months and then have it die once you two were separated? Aka, the baby couldn't handle the real world? Its mother didn't make him or her fully ready to face it."
"That's it, get out! You shouldn't even be in here! You don't even have a mask!" Natsume ordered.
"Oh come on, how bad could it be?" Kai started to ask.
"Excuse me," a security guard suddenly said coming in. "Do you have permission to be here Miss?"
"Uh yes," Kai said.
"No!" Natsume, Ema, and all four doctors all argued back.
"Okay, let's go," the guard said as he grabbed Kai's arm and pulled her out.
"What! No! I have to finish the interview!" Kai defended, as she struggled with the guard.
"There never was an interview!" Natsume said, "in fact if you better not show up at the hospital again. Especially to harass my wife and or endanger my children! I won't hesitate to have you arrested!"
Kai looked at him started before looking towards Ema.
"You're never going to help me out, are you? Then again, you never have been one to help out others huh?" she accused.
"Do you want her arrested now sir?" the guard asked, "because we can hold her until the police show up."
"Huh?" Kai said in panic.
"No, not this time, just let her go," Ema said, "if she leaves now."
"Well?" the guard asked.
"Fine!" Kai said. "But don't think I'll let this go anytime soon!"
"Let's go!" The guard said as he yanked her out.
"Here, let's get Hayase back now," Dr. Senzoku quickly said as she took the baby and set him back in his incubator. She immediately started looking him over.
"Okay, he's fine, I was worried about someone new being here might expose him to some kind of germ or something," she said with relief.
"Crazy bitch," Dr. Osango muttered, "I was about to kick her out literally!"
"We're sorry," Ema said.
"I'm sure it's not you're fault, Mrs. Asahina," Dr. Kumi said, "the woman seems to be a the type to get what she wants without caring how it affects others."
"Sadly yes," Ema said. She did managed to smile as Natsume came back to her and squeezed her hand.
"You know I'm dating the head publisher of Dragon Draw? You know what he can do to you?" Kai taunted the guard as he pulled her out of the NIC-ICU.
"Publish a total bullshit article about me in one of the dumb tabloid shit magazines they put out," the guard said as he pushed her out. "Now, do you need to be escorted all the way out, or do I have to take you straight to the exit?"
"No! I can get out myself!" Kai muttered as she headed to the elevator.
"Dumb bitch! Ema, you haven't changed a bit! Probably think she's big stuff since she's a mother of Quadruplets!"
"You're talking about that selfish woman and her husband who says they just gave birth to quadruplets?" she heard someone ask.
Kai turned around to see a pregnant woman in a hospital gown walking around.
"Selfish you say?" she asked as she walked over to the woman. She pulled out her phone, "is this the couple you're talking about?"
"That's them," the woman muttered. "I wasn't able to get looked at four days ago when I first came to hopefully give birth and all because everyone was focusing on them!"
"Oh really?" Kai said, "do tell me more."
