Ruby: Hi! My name is Ruby Rose, leader of Team RWBY! Our race was up next and we won it! I still can't believe it! What I also couldn't believe was that Cinder is back and her team is racing in the same Block as mine. They're strong. But as long as we work together, we can beat anyone!

Race 4: Grim Traffic

Earth Dimension. In the Skies of Nevada.

A massive blimp-based airship is flying near some mountains at night as Team Toxin approaches from behind on their Extreme Gears to visit some old friends. One of those friends is relaxing in his personal office, near a stylized green hoverboard that has the power to rival Sonic's superfast speed. The supreme master of that Gear is Jet the Hawk, the Legendary Wind Master. And the Leader of Mobius's most infamous band of thieves, the Babylon Rogues. The hawk rider was enjoying his peace and quiet until another member of his team runs to the door from outside. His name is Storm the Albatross, the dumb muscle of the group with feet thumping loudly on the floor as he reaches, then abruptly flings open the door shouting, "HEY, BOSS!"

"Wha-?!" The startled Jet falls out of his seat.

"We have guests!" Storm proclaimed while banging on the desk.

"Storm! I see you still haven't learned to KNOCK before entering a room!" retorted by Wave the Swallow, the team's mechanical expert walking up to the side of the door.

"Sorry!" Storm looks back at her with a simple shrug.

As the annoyed Jet stands up, he asks his team, "What did you want?"

Flustered while struggling to remember why he's here, Storm retorts, "Ah, i-i-i-i-it's about C-C-Cin…"

"Cinder Fall and her group have come to visit." Wave intervened for her stuttering friend, putting her arm in front of him as she continues talking, "You remember them. That gang from Remnant? They helped us stop Babylon Garden when it went out-of-control and nearly swallowed Mobius in a black hole…"

"They entered the Grand Prix and want to hang out with us for the night." Storm said, pushing Wave aside for pushing him first.

"Hey now…Cut it out!" The angered Wave pushes back, resulting in them both turning their backs to each other while Jet just sighs in tiredness from their usual bickering.

"You three haven't changed." quipped Cinder, walking into the room with a smile alongside Mercury and Emerald.

The smirking Jet scoffs at his old friends, "Been a while. Heard you entered the Grand Prix. How did you do in the first race?"

"Perfect score." Cinder smirked back, "The others never stood a chance. I assume the Babylon Rogues performed just as flawless?"

"Obviously. There is no one in any universe that can beat me in speed." Jet retorted arrogantly.

"Except a blue hedgehog and me once we faceoff in the finals." Cinder snarked with equal arrogance.

"Looking forward to it! I'll beat you and Sonic and prove myself as the Fastest in the Multiverse!" Jet proclaimed.

A curious Wave then looks around for a moment, upon realizing that someone is missing from Cinder's group. "Wasn't there someone else that hanged out with you guys? That big black alien that looked like that Spider-Guy? Where is he?" She asked them.

Silence pierces Cinder's sadden heart as her face drops to a sombering expression upon reminiscing her time with Eddie Brock. The Lethal Protector known as Venom. And her first love, before he sacrificed his own life to save the world from a multiversal symbiote invasion. Both Emerald and Mercury sympathize with her for the loss of their friend, with the sombering former telling Wave, "He's…no longer with us."

"Oh…Sorry." Wave apologized, quickly deducing that Venom is dead and genuinely feels bad for the friends he left behind.

"It's okay." Cinder speaks again with her usual cool attitude, "He left behind a memento."

"He did?" Wave questioned.

"Her own symbiote." Mercury smiled.

"What?!" Wave retorted.

BGM-Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite OST-Morrigan Theme

With a dark grin, Cinder seamlessly manifests a crimson symbiote that outfits her body with a costume similarly to Spider-Man's but colored black and red and with symbiotic hair resembling her original style. "WHOOOOOOOA!" The Babylon Rogues reacted at her symbiotic transformation with the most amazed faces.

"You're an alien now?!" Storm commented.

"Toxin. That is what I am called when I'm like this. The grandchild of Venom and a symbiote with unsurpassable potential." Cinder proclaimed with a merged demonic voice between herself and her symbiote.

The cocky Jet chuckles, "I'm impressed. Still won't do you any good in a race against me."

"Wanna bet and be utterly humiliated?" Cinder quipped, ready to race against the Wind Master.

BGM End

But before Jet could accept her challenge, his airship was hit by a massive turbulence that knocks it off course. Most of the passengers fell, with Storm humorously crushing Emerald with his annoying weight, and Wave hurrying to the ship's wheel to steer it away from the mountains. Jet quickly recovers on his feet with a surprised look on his face that's exclaiming, "What the heck was that turbulence?! What caused it?!"

Cinder hurries to the window and uses her symbiote to enhance her vision to catch the fleeing glimpse of what caused that turbulence. "To me, it looks like it came from…Extreme Gear?" She proclaimed with a tone of shocking disbelief.

Las Vegas.

BGM-Sonic Adventure 2 OST-Throw It All Away (Instrumental)

Racing around at the speed of light are three mysterious riders that are in the middle of pushing their Extreme Gears to the utmost limit. These three aren't just mysterious, they would look awfully familiar to the heroes that have faced them many times in the past, as they are dark copies of famous heroes from across dimensions. In last place, soaring the nightly sky is Mecha Spider-Man, the superior robot clone of Spider-Man. In second place, grinding on the rails of Las Vegas is Metal Sonic, the deadly metallic double of Sonic the Hedgehog. And in first place, dominating his teammates with blazing speed and terrifying skill on the streets is Grimadoom the Hedgehog, the supreme fused clone of the Multiverse's Mightiest Heroes. Sporting a new navy-blue leather jacket with red flames as well as red sunglasses, the devil hedgehog and his Team Supreme are here to race and crush all rivals in the Grand Prix as they stop at a random rooftop.

"Ha ha! Winner is Grimadoom the Hedgehog! Ain't no one faster than me!" Grimadoom chuckled while stylishly hopping off his board.

"Overconfident as usual. Do not forget you are representing both Latveria and the Masters of Evil in this tournament." Mecha Spider-Man reminded his leader coldly.

"Yeah, yeah. We'll win with flying colors. Or did you think racing from New York to Vegas in less than 7 minutes was just for fun?" Grimadoom quipped.

"You are an enigma. At least, Metal Sonic and I thank you for testing our upgrades." Mecha responded, with the silent Metal nodding in gratitude.

"Had to make you two race worthy so you wouldn't slow me down." Grima quipped, before walking around a bit to complain, "Why did this have to be a team race? I could win it all by myself."

"You are not the only one wanting to exact revenge on the Dimensional Avengers. This is efficient." Mecha responded, revealing that these dimensional villains entered the race for payback and for glory.

"Ah well." Grima shrugged dryly.

"HEY, YOU!"

"Who?" Grimadoom turns around and spots a furious Jet leading his team and Team Toxin to his location with their hoverboards. "Can I help you?" He asked sarcastically.

"You better! You nearly sent my ship flying to a mountain! I demand an apology!" Jet angrily confronted the clone hedgehog.

"I don't remember doing that. Was having too much fun flying at light speed." Grimadoom snarked with his arms crossed at indifference toward his complaint.

"Don't play stupid!" Jet retorted whilst stomping a furious foot to the ground.

"Aren't you Grimadoom? Grimadoom of the Masters of Evil?" Cinder calmly realized his identity and without wearing her Toxin costume for now.

"Huh?" Jet reacted with much confusion and shock as the rest of his allies.

"My reputation precedes me. Then again, I shouldn't be surprised that a former slave of Salem has been keeping tabs on me." Grimadoom quipped with a cool attitude.

"So you know me?" Cinder questioned sternly, slightly annoyed that he is aware of her identity.

"I can read minds. Which is how I know you and the Babylon Rouges don't have what it takes to beat me in this Prix." Grimadoom retorted arrogantly, much to his newfound rivals' anger.

"He's making fun of us!" Storm snapped.

"Don't get so cocky! We scored perfect in our races! Can't see how a newbie and his two joker robots could do any better!" Emerald taunted him.

"It is impossible to go beyond 37 points, but I will obtain that and prove myself to have the superior skill." Grim sassed, "Come along and watch. My race is about to begin."

Sharing an interested smirk with Cinder, Jet retorts, "Why not. Let's see what you're made of." He proclaimed, prompting his grim rival to smirk sinisterly.

Shortly After…

BGM-Sonic Free Riders OST-Get Ready for the Big Event

"Hey there, True Believers! Watch as the final race of the day is set to begin! The pavilion is filling up with riders from throughout this marvelous multiverse! Covering the competition live, I'm your eyes from beyond, Stan Lee!" said by the Legendary Mystery Man himself, Stan Lee, to his beloved fans that have tuned in for the Alliance Block race, "Let's start with a peek at the starting line."

This race is taking place in a giant, neon-lit, casino-themed area built by Stark Industries and taking inspiration from BINGO Highway Zone of Mobius, making this race track home to huge fruit machines, roulette wheels and pinball tables. Lee and his cameraman tour the starting area for a bit, taking footage of the incredible teams that are here to race. One team is comprised of freedom fighting-mobian wolves called Team Wolf, led by the sage-minded Lupe the Wolf. Another team consists of Harriet Bee, Elm Ederne, and Clover Ebi. Team Ace-Ops, the elite huntsmen group of Remnant's Atlesian Military. The third team is a team even greater, fighting for peace between humans and mutants. Team X-Men, consisting of Cyclops, Phoenix, and Colossus.

"Hm?" Suddenly, Phoenix senses an immensely powerful and dark psychic force that rivals her own entering the area that catches her husband's concern.

"What's wrong, Jean?" Cyclops asked.

"It's him." Jean replied both sternly and vaguely.

"Who?"

The X-Men look to find Grimadoom and his Team Supreme walking to take their position at the starting area. "Grimadoom…What's he doing here?" Cyclops snarled, recognizing the hedgehog from when he led an attack on New York with his Spider-Army.

"I don't know. I can't read his mind." Jean proclaimed, revealing that even her omega-level psychic powers is having trouble competing with the dark clone's.

"Perhaps yezh's just here to show off." Colossus joked.

"Whatever his intentions, we won't let him win! Let's have fun while we beat the competition! There is no better opportunity to improve mutantkind's relations with humans than by racing among them!" declared Cyclops, sharing eager smiles with his wonderful teammates.

Among the massive audience at the bleachers are Teams Babylon and Toxin, all of them taking a seat while shooting curious stares and glares at Grima's team. "This should be fun." Mercury smiled.

"Yup." Wave grinned, as the neutral parties want to see Team Supreme in action.

"Team Supreme!" Lee approaches the villains to interview for them for a brief moment, "Before we begin, is there anything you want to say to the viewers back home?"

With a confident smirk, Grim retorts to the microphone, "Let's begin and end this race on a fantastic note. The other races will PALE in comparison to what we're about to show off!"

"Golly! Team Supreme seems cool and collected and frighteningly confident. Is it the calm before the storm?! I'll have all the details, assuming his robots don't get any funny ideas!" Lee joked to the viewers as the race is about to begin.

BGM-Sonic Riders OST-Theme of SEGA Carnival

"This'll be child's play." Grimadoom smiled to himself, supremely confident in his victory.

From Team Supreme to Team Wolf, all riders have taken their positions behind the barrier gate as the timer is counting down. Grimadoom knows of a tactic to obtain an early lead, which involves him using his inherited Spider-Sense to help him feel out the best time for a running start without stupidly electrocuting himself. Just as the timer reaches zero and the barrier is down, he did just that and smoothly rides into the track already in first place, with the 11 other riders quickly catching up.

"The race just started and Grimadoom is already in the lead! He is just eager to test his luck out at the pinball machine!" Stan Lee commentated.

Already the riders are flying through a multi-colored tunnel as if they're pinballs being launched in a pinball machine. "Weird. Where are we being launched to?" The curious Lupe wondered.

"Don't know. Stay sharp, everyone." Clover advised all teams.

Quickly the racers are surprised to find themselves descending down a massive pinball table, encountering numerous pinballs on the way. "WHOA! Look at this! I feel so tiny!" Elm happily commented, riding over a dash panel to increase her speed.

"We're racing down a pinball machine! Stark knows how to spend his money in Vegas!" Cyclops remarked amidst his swift drifts.

The fun-loving Grimadoom laughs, "Not a bad way to start a race!", before jumping off a ramp and performing an awesome air trick over a pinball, "Try to keep up, losers! I love a challenge that I can embarrass!"

"Me too! Don't cry to daddy after I beat you!" smirked Harriet, unleashing a competitive electrified boost to hurry after the taunting hedgehog.

Later on inside the pinball table, in addition to the giant pinballs, there are flippers and bumpers. Some bumpers were helpful in speeding up riders, while others push them back. The flippers only exist to be painfully annoying, electrocuting those they hit and cause them to spin out of control just like a pinball on any table. That is what Mecha Spider-Man is planning to initiate against Team Wolf. The wolfs have him outnumbered and are skilled, but fail to have a counter against his ruthless tactics. First he disarms each of them of their weapons during their brief clash, then webs Lupe's teammates to the bumpers, before finishing off the leader herself with an acrobatic strike that sends her flying and be played around by a flipper, all before completely overtaking their positions without beeping a word.

"Not fair!" Lupe complained, scowling at the robotic arachnid.

"Never seen a Spider-Man be so ruthless to his enemies, both at the streets and on the tracks! It's efficient, but not what I call spectacular! Guess he has something to prove!" Lee commentated.

The riders enter the second lap, and Grimadoom is still in the lead. He looks back at his pursuing rivals in the pinball launcher, shooting at them taunting smiles alongside mocking words, "Second lap, same as the last! Still in the lead! Step it up, slowpokes! I haven't broken a sweat yet!"

Colossus scowls, "You are very irritating!", just as they land back on the pinball table and he nabs a Target Torpedo item, "This will shut you up!" He throws the black torpedo that causes the dark hedgehog to have a little fun dodging the attack with a cocky smile.

Elsewhere on the track that is being plagued with falling casino chips, Metal Sonic has engaged Harriet in an intense electrified clash that is tearing through the area. His V. Maximum Overdrive Attack against her Super-Speed Semblance. Both being pushed like never before with high-speed attacks that the other is having little difficulty in countering.

"Not bad, bolts. I'll admit that the REAL Sonic is as fast as me. But there is absolutely no way your batteries will last forever against my speed!" The smirking Harriet taunted the super badnik.

Irritated, Metal easily proves her superior in speed with a hyperfast strike that slows her down severely. And was quick enough to avoid a powerful hammer swing followed by several rockets from Elm. But his luck ran out as quickly as him being surprised by a pinball ramming into him, slowing him down long enough for the two Ace-Ops to reunite with Clover up ahead.

"We sure showed him!" Clover complimented his team.

"No need to be modest. This team is lucky to have a charmer like you as leader." Harriet punned, knowing her leader has the Semblance to cause good luck to happen around him.

"Stop it." Clover smiled at her adorable pun.

Quickly deducing Clover's Semblance, Metal uses his most impressive skill to scan his bio-data to copy his special power. "Clover Ebi data…has been copied." He muttered. With his new power to manipulate probability positively, Metal catches up to the Ace-Ops quite easily and quickly just so he can surprise and pummel Clover with Homing Attacks until his Aura shatters. The huntsman leader tries grappling him with his fishing pole weapon, only for the menacing Super Badnik to catch it and use it to ensnare him and kick him into the path of several pinballs, which ram him into last place.

"CLOVER!" The remaining Ace-Ops exclaimed in both shock and horror of Metal's swift revenge.

'Not a bad tactic, Metal.' The grinning Grimadoom takes a mental note of his teammate's actions, 'Copy his Good Fortune to cancel each other out, then shatter his Aura in a blink of an eye just so he can be crushed by his own power. This isn't just a race to the finish. This is war, and war must be fought to win with all your might! No one here is our equal. They are fools to think they stand a chance!'

"Grimadoom's team is pretty good." Cinder commented from the spectator seats.

"Gotta agree. They're demolishing the others. And I can tell he hasn't shown above a fraction of his true skill." Jet then grins, "Looks like Sonic the Hedgehog won't be my only real competition."

BGM-Sonic X OST-Sonic's Fight

The final lap has come, and Grimadoom continues to dominate first place. But not for long from what it seems, as Team X-Men have finally had enough of his shenanigans and are pulling out all the stops just to beat him. Colossus grabs some rolling pinballs and hurtles them at the dark hedgehog, who swiftly dodges them just to grind down a rail. Then here comes Cyclops chasing him on the rail with his gear-changing board granting him extra speed and mobility, making it easier to fire optic blasts that pushes the clone to the defensive as he jumps off the rail.

Still acting cocky, Grimadoom quips, "Finally you're putting up a decent challenge.", as the three mutants catch up and slowly close-in on him, with the addition of Jean entrapping him in a psychic barrier to better slow him down. "Oh no, how will I ever escape?" He chuckled at his own sarcastic joke before warping out of her barrier.

"He vanished?! Where did he go?" The shocked Jean exclaimed. She then feels someone patting her head and looks up to see Grimadoom smiling and flying above her while upside down with a cross-armed expression, much to her astonishment and frustration, "Now you're just showing off!"

"I know." He snarked, right before riding ahead on the track and racing backwards with a smirk on his face.

"He's been playing with us this whole time!" The furious Colossus exclaimed.

"Playtime is now officially over! To me, my X-Men!" Cyclops ordered his team to group together before signaling his wife to, "Jean! Flap your wings and give us a boost!"

"Didn't think we had to go this far in our first race…" Jean said, before her eyes glow with cosmic flames, "Goes to show you just how much Grimadoom has pissed us off!"

By infusing their Gears with the fiery psychic energies of the Phoenix Force, Team X-Men rocket pass the shocked Grimadoom, accelerating their boards to well over the speed of sound. A cocky Cyclops chuckles, "This is what happens when you mess with the X-Men! The only way he can beat us now is if he goes light speed!"

Cyclops should've kept his mouth shut, because at the corner of his sight is a smirking Grimadoom zooming right past the mutants at supersonic speeds, unleashing a powerful sonic boom that shakes the pinball table as he breaches the sound barrier and rockets down the track at light speed. "A Light Speed Dash…You've got to be kidding…" muttered by Cyclops in complete amazement at his unstoppable speed.

"Scott, we still have company!" retorted Jean, right before both Metal and Mecha plow through them at tremendous speeds that disturbs their cosmic boost.

BGM-Sonic Riders OST-Race Finished

All three riders of Team Supreme were the first to cross the finish line, with Grimadoom coming in 1st place, Metal Sonic in 2nd place, and Mecha Spider-Man in 3rd place. Every spectator that was watching this amazing pinballing race were left astonished from the raw speed and incredible skills displayed by the villains that won tonight's race, most notably the flabbergasted Stan Lee as he comments on their spectacular finish, "I CAN'T BELIEVE MY EYES! All three astonishing riders of Team Supreme crossed the finish line first! They beat the other super racers with 37 points! That's the highest total you can earned! TEAM SUPREME JUST DOMINATED THE RACE WITH A PERFECT VICTORY!"

"We lost…To think we were outmatched from the beginning." said by a disheartened Lupe, as Team Wolf crossed the finish line in last place.

"Guess luck was on their side." said by a disappointed Clover, with his Team Ace-Ops ending the race in third place.

"We lost to a bunch of copycat cheaters! I can't believe this!" Harriet furiously smashed her fists together.

"Sorry, guys. If I just used my full strength, we would've won. But I didn't want to risk losing control…" Phoenix sadly apologized to her Team X-Men for coming in second place.

Cyclops comforts his wife with a hug and some words, "It's alright, Jean. You were awesome. Everyone in this team did their best, and I couldn't be prouder."

"Winning in second ain't so bad. As long as we had fun." Colossus smiled, which certainly helped in cheering up his psychic friend.

"You're right. Thanks, you two. And we'll have more fun watching the race where Grimadoom lose. I don't need to read minds to know that he WON'T win the Grand Prix! One of our friends will beat him!" Jean grinned with absolute confidence in their enemy's downfall.

Meanwhile, the victorious Team Supreme are wallowing in their astonishing victory. Well, just Grimadoom. His robot companions are just minding their own business. The Supreme Lifeform exchanges smiles with his cheering fans, laughing and waving and throwing peace signs at his wonderful audience until he notices Teams Babylon and Toxin approaching him to congratulate his victory.

"You weren't half-bad out there. I underestimated you, Grimadoom." Jet compliments his new racing rival.

"That was just the tip of the iceberg. I haven't even begun to show you my full strength." Grimadoom boasted to his latest rivals.

"Good to hear. In fact, why not show it to us here and now in a race! We have time. The Quarter-Finals don't start 'til tomorrow." Jet challenged Team Supreme to a race against his team and Cinder's.

"Let's do it! Push me to my limits! Show me that there is someone in this tournament that can match the Supreme Speed!" Grimadoom accepted his challenge with a calmly confident smirk, already believing himself to be the fastest in all reality when the DX Multiversal Grand Prix will soon enter the second round.

KFX Here: The Babylon Rogues return, alongside Grimadoom and his own team of evil that are serving as the fourth main focus group of this story. Their purpose is to be the unstoppable team that only the main heroes have a chance at defeating in a race. We won't move onto the Quarter-Final Races next chapter. Before them, a breather chapter.
