At the sound of that deafening alarm, all the bots ran to the main meeting room. Bots arrived from all directions, a bit unsure as to just exactly what was going on. The lights and computers around them flashed on and off on their own violition. Optimus was stunned, but didn't show it. And just as someone was about to make a comment, Sideways appeared on a screen. "You lowlife traitor" Hotshot shot off, practically growling. Hotshot still wanted to pay Sideways back for what had happened at the Decepticon base.
"Yeah, nice to see you useless bots again as well" Sideways replied, evil smirk on his countenance. This was small potatoes as far as Sideways was concerned.
"What do you want?" Optimus asked, very guarded at this intrusion. He didn't like this bot and how shady this bot was.
"First off, Wheeljack is now back with the cons. Secondly, There is a third weapon out there – the Requiem Blaster" Sideways revealed. "And here is where those minicons can be located. Best of luck (sadistic laugh)."
At that point, Sideway's ugly mug disappeared, and the coordinates were revealed. The three minicons were located on three different continents. Optimus sighed, they would have to split up to even have a chance of locating these minicons before the Cons found them. Little did they realize that while this was true, it was also a bit of a trap. A trap that would almost end up working if not for Lancex.
Not wanting to show any favoritism, Optimus divided the groups up. He selected Lancex and Smokescreen as team one, and they would search for the one closest to the base. Team two was Jetfire and Red Alert while team 3 was Optimus and Hotshot. "Remember, not only do we need to protect those minicons, we also must always be aware that the Cons could show up anytime and anywhere" Optimus announced after assigning the teams.
The teams headed out to their assigned locations, with Smokescreen and Lancex located very nearby the base. While Optimus is disappointed to not have Lancex on his team, he understood it was better not to due to not wanting to show favoritism. On the other hand, Jetfire was not pleased to not be assigned with Lancex. Jetfire glared at Smokescreen, who didn't see the bot glare at him. They soon headed out as there was much work to be done.
