While the other two groups were busy finding their assigned panels, Jetfire and Red Alert found themselves in the land down under. Jetfire sighed, as he had still wished Lancex was part of his group instead of Red Alert. "We must keep going, we have to find the panel" Red stated, encouraging Jetfire to focus on the task at hand.
"How are we going to find anything out here in the middle of nowhere?" Jetfire whined, which was something he was oh so excellent in doing, especially while on an assignment.
"Careful searching" Red replied. Jetfire grumbled a bit but reluctantly agreed. Red Alert was no fun, or so Jetfire thought.
As they searched the surrounding area thoroughly, Red, though not usually like him, began asking prying questions of Jetfire. "So, what do you think of the addition of Lancex to our side?" Red asked, using this as an assessment tool on Jetfire.
Jetfire blushed something fierce before answering the question, "he is a kind and powerful bot, but he lacks confidence especially when it comes to his love life." Red could tell that Jetfire seemed a bit bothered that Lancex was not a bit more outgoing and welcoming of Jetfire's advances and such.
"Not everyone can be a Casanova, Jetfire" Red replied, "some need more time and work to realize their potential." Jetfire could only nod at that. "Besides, Lancex being around has been a good morale booster, especially for you and Optimus. Maybe the confidence you and Optimus have will rub off on Lancex." Jetfire wasn't sure what to say to that, but then realized that they had found the panel they sought. They picked it up and headed back to the base. Red knew that they had work cut out on all three bots – Optimus, Jetfire, and Lancex.
Once all three teams have returned to the base, they put all three minicons in close proximity to each other, as they had seen this before with the sky boom shield and the star saber minions. And soon they were looking at a deadly blaster. And that wasn't the only problem, as the intruder alert went off. Just who in Cybertron set that off. They wished they knew. Optimus had Hotshot take the kids elsewhere.
Meanwhile, Megatron and his team smirked. They had just managed to breech the Autobot base and they had destruction in mind.
