Regrets
Regrets

I remember her, even though I never spoke to her much, she was always there of course, sitting in the far corner of our sumptuous Common room, minding her business, over brushing long strands of blonde hair, which was not silky, but greasy and had small flakes of dandruff on her minute head.

She had a pretty face, but no one noticed; greasy, red spots hid her small nose, cold sores camouflaged her pink lips, and mounds of grease and spots.

I wont ever forget her, but I want to forget her, she's left me bad memories. Those memories will haunt me, well the one particular speech Dumbledore chanted at dinner on the 1st April, won't leave my memory.

"This morning Eloise Midgeon was found dead in her bed in the Gryffindor Girl's 5th year dormitory, she committed suicide."

I knew Eloise seemed late getting up that morning, but I thought nothing of it, until now. Come to think of it, Lavender did look shaky in Herbeology.

I looked over to Lavender; she looked as if she was going to vomit on Seamus's robes.

I can still smell Ron's rasping breath as he asked me if I knew what was going on. "Hermione, what's going on?" He too looked shocked, I mean I did suggest he should go to the Yule Ball with her last Christmas, but I knew he would decline her, I knew she was unhygienic, and I knew Ron would defiantly turn her down, we all knew she was spotty and un-hygienic, and Ron has taste, that's what I had hoped he would noticed me…

            Did he?

Well back to Eloise, I don't know whether she was a pleasant person, but now I'm certain, horrible or not, her family will chant "Eloise was charming, popular, outgoing, funny, beautiful and just plain wonderful!" But to be honest does anyone actually know if Eloise was that 'nice'?

No…

…She was a loner, and I could of made friends with her, I didn't, I contributed to her death, we all did, Harry, Ron, Parvati, Lavender, Neville, Dean and Seamus. We all made her die, just because we didn't want to be seen with a girl like Eloise, all caught up in our own popularity and fortunes.

So take a lesson from me, don't judge a person by their looks, like we all did, you could uncover a good friend, you could save them, we didn't, and we lost Eloise Midgeon because of our selfishness.
