A/N: So much going on with the shows right now behind the scenes, I'm going to hide here in fanfiction, please feel free to join. I've made up the location of this mansion, where the gala takes place. This is a shortie, sorry to disappoint.
A/N 2: A lot of people have commented about how childish, and immature Olivia has been acting in the last couple chapters. I'm a firm believer of the fact that age does not equal maturity. I'm the youngest and smallest of 3, yet my entire life everyone always thought I'm the oldest. When you're sick from the start, you grow up quickly. Other experiences make us grow up quicker as well, in this story Elliot helped raise his siblings, forcing him to mature faster than most men his age. Olivia had to mature faster as well because of her alcoholic mother. The difference is Elliot grew up faster to help take care of others. Olivia grew up faster to be able to take care of herself. That's a big difference and why if she comes off selfish/bratty, it's because she's had to do everything and look out for herself from a very young age.

Manhattan Police Officer Appreciation Ball, New York Governor's Mansion, Library, Saturday Night
Elliot closed his eyes, and let his forehead drop to her shoulder, he felt a warm heat behind his eyes as he tried not to cry. They were both sweaty, and breathing heavily. He felt her lips grace the side of his head. He couldn't describe what he was feeling in that moment, as he squeezed his eyes shut, he tried to block out the sounds of the gala. People talking, laughing, and a 5 piece orchestra playing classical music could be heard, despite how far away the library was from the main hall where the gala was taking place.
The Manhattan Police Officer Appreciation Ball took place every year. It was an event that celebrated, and rewarded the work of officers from every level and department in Manhattan. It was also a fundraiser. The upper 1%, a who's who of New York. It was always an opportunity to network, as it was attended to by everyday street cops, lawyers, judges, and politicians, to the richest civilians who liked to dress to the 10s and show off in their couture suits and diamonds. The governor of New York hosted it, at his lavish mansion.
Elliot had never seen a house like the one he was currently in. The library itself had to be over 5,000 square feet. He knew they hosted events in their as well, everything from fundraisers to plays, there was even a stage to host the drama. However tonight while the party was taking place in the main hall, the real drama had gone down in that library.
One feeling he was having that he could describe in that moment, was indignation. He never expected he'd get so mad, and angry, that he'd do something like this. Olivia had pushed and taunted him all evening. Using a man he considered family to help her no less. But still, no matter what she did or said, it gave him no right to do what he just did.
Elliot felt two hands slide up his slick back. He grimaced as he felt her fingers brush over the scratches she had caused while he brought them both over the edge, minutes ago.
He knew he hadn't been gentle, he was so angry at Olivia, but he turned around and took that anger out on his date, Kathy. She deserved better than him.
Olivia deserved better from him too.
Elliot exhaled loudly as two soft hands cradled his head, lifting it from her shoulder.
As he opened his damp eyes to see another's staring back at him, he truly wondered how he had ended up in the largest personal library he had ever seen, in the home of the governor of New York, missing most of his clothes, covered in sweat, and trying to catch his breath as he came down from a completely unexpected high.
Last week at the same time he had been enjoying himself at Casey's party. How had things gone so off course?
