Back to Duel Academy - A New Fate

Red Hat disembarked from the ferry and made his way to the docks, along with many of the new students that would be entering. Despite his attempts to ignore them, he couldn't help, but get curious at all the new students and those that made it to their second year.

'Let's hope this year is a better then the last. Least for my experience.' He thought as he continued walking past the docks, along with many of the students.

However, he then noticed something, which the other students ignored. He noticed Crowler and a short fat man with a mustache running as fast as hecould behind Crowler. 'Something isn't right here.' Red Hat thought as he followed them, but stayed away from sight as much as he could.

Crowler looked at the short man, irritated. "Hurry up, Vice Chancellor Bonaparte."

'Vice Chancellor? Then what are you supposed to be, Crowler?' Red Hat thought.

The short man, named Bonaparte looked at Crolwer irritated. "Then don't run-de aru! What has you so riled up, Temporary Chancellor Crowler?"

'Temorary Chancellor Crowler? This is not good news. It's a new year and already I'm starting to hate it.' Red Hat thought as he sighed quietly.

"My, temporary Crowler? You do not need to stress the 'temporary' part." Crowler replied.

Bonaparte looked at Crowler. "Well, you are being employed to take the place of Chancellor Sheppard while he's on vacation. If I were to better the reputaion of Duel Academy in that time, I will be able to become the real chancellor, won't I? The word 'impossible' may not be in my dictionary, but that is most certainly impossible."

Crowler stopped and turned towards him. "It is possible. Feast your eyes on this Bonaparte." Crowler chuckled as he took out a dueling magazine.

Bonaparte looked at him really confused now. "What is that?"

Crowler narrowed his eyes at him. "The big action in the Pro-Dueling World League!" Bonaparte looked shocked as the picture of a grey haired teenager with a silver suit was on a page. "This is the young genius duelist, Aster Phoenix!" Crowler then closed the magazine. "It has been decided that he will be entering our Academy."

Bonaparte looked intrigued, albeit a bit confused. "My, now that's impressive! However, he is already active as a pro, so why?"

Crowler shook his head with a smile. "I don't really know. It must be because I have become Chancellor, must it not?"

Red Hat, who was still hiding behind one of the walls near the docks, overheard the conversation and shook his head with a sour look. 'A pro wouldn't give a damn about an Academy. Don't pros make a lot of money anyway? There's no point in wasting time going back to school for any purpose, unless you want a change of career, which is highly unlikely in this case. Those two are nothing but troble.'

"Whoa! So this is Duel Academy?" A new student said.

"We're staying here for three years?" Another new student said.

"I wonder if the seniors are scary..." Another student said.

Red Hat couldn't help but chuckle at the new students reaction. 'If said place wasn't so toxic on certain matters, I'd be impressed too if this was my first year.' He thought as he walked away from the docks.

Red Hat kept on walking until he reached his destination of choice. This time being the Ra Yellow dorm. While he remained in Slifer Red out of choice. He wanted to pay a vist to someone he knew. The first year Ra's gave him some questionable looks. While those in second year knew who he was.

"What's a Slifer Red doing here?" A Ra yellow asked.

"Hey man, don't you know who that it? That's the notorious Red Hat. Best you don't get him mad." A second year Ra Yellow explained.

Some of the first year Ra's eyes widened as the name was mention. "You mean the rumors that we've been hearing about are true? The Slifer Red in the red hat being one of the most notoriously powerful dueslist at this Academy?"

"Yeah man, he's scary when he get's serious in a duel." Another second year Ra said.

"It's best you stay at his good side. Obelisk Blues can't beat him either." Another second year Ra said.

'I'm not really like that these days. Although that doesn't mean I'll hold back if you get on my nerves.' Red Hat thought as he entered the Ra Dorm.

While he's only been inside the dorm once. He knew his way around the building. After enough looking around he saw Bastion just exiting his room. He now knew where to find Bastion if he wanted to see him.

"Bastion, over here!" Red Hat called out.

Bastion turned around and saw Red Hat at the end of the hallway. "Red Hat, what brings you here today?"

"Just wanted to see you is all." Red Hat walked up to him.

"Since you came all the way here, what are your plans for today." asked Bastion.

"How about we visit the Red dorm and check up on Jaden. It's been a while since we seen him." replied Red Hat.

Bastion nodded. "Sure thing. Besides, I already finished my formulas for the day. So I got some free time."

"Alright, then let's go, Bastion."

"You may want to go your room first. You're still carrying your backpack." Bastion pointed out.

Red Hat lowered his hat in slight embarrassment. "I kind of forgot. I'll take care of that when we get there." Both of them would soon leave the Ra Yellow dorm and enter the forest, until they reach the Ra Dorm.

While they made their way to the slifer Red dorm. The duo decided to take a detour around the forest to catch up on lost time.

"How have you been doing this summer, Bastion?" Red Hat asked. "Went anywhere sepcial?"

"Actually, I stayed here at the Academy to continue my personal research on various mattters." replied Bastion. "Besides, I can't be falling behind now can I?"

Red Hat chuckled at his thought process. "I can agree to that. Got to keep learning and improving. Or else suffer stagnation."

"Agreed."

As the duo continued walking through the forest. Ignoring some passing students along the way. "Did Jaden ad the other stayed at the academy too?"

Bastion shook his head. "Jaden and Syrus stayed behind for their own reasons. Atticus and Alexis left for the summer to visit their parents. I have no idea what Chazz has bee up to."

"I see then. Well in other news, Zane has been doing well in his pro league career and hasn't lost a single match." explained Red Hat.

"Indeed, Syrus would alway call us to watch his duels on live televiosn. Thanks to Chazz for offering us to use his plasma TV." Bastion added. "What about you? What have you been doing during your summer vacation?"

Red Hat stiffen for a bit. 'I can't tell him I had... questionable encounters. And I'm certainly not telling him about my affairs with Blair.' He thought before respomding. "I spent most of my days participating in local tournaments and coming up with new strategies."

Bastion slightly narrowed his eyes at him. Knowing Red Hat wasn't telling the entire truth, but decided not to prey any further. "Glad to know you been training. Although that's not the full picture. I won't make you tell me, but I do wish to know more sometime later. Nothing personal really."

Red Hat sighed in relief. "I'll tell you some other time."

As the duo exited the forest and made it to the Slifer Red dorm. They moticed Syrus, Alexis, Chazz, and Dorthy near the cliffside. Both of them wondered what could they possibly be watching? A duel perhaps? They approached them to see what was going on.

"Hey guys! Something happenening?" Red Hat asked.

"Oh, hello there Red Hat, and you too Bastion!" Dorthy greeted.

"You two are a bit late to the party. Jaden has been dueling a freshman for a while now." Syrus explained.

"Jaden dueling a freshman?" Red Hat questioned.

Alexis nodded. "Yeah, come see for yourself."

Red Hat and Bastion approached the cliffside and saw that Jaden was indeed dueling someone. Although something about him felt completely off.

'If he's a freshman, why isn't he dressed like a normal student? Unless...' Red Hat thought. 'Looks like he's playing a deck based on Sanctuary in the Sky?' Red Hat took a closer look at the field. On the field, Jaden had no cards on the field, while his opponent has Santuary in the Sky and Archlord Zerato. He had no cards in his hand, while Jaden had three cards in his hand. 'What is Jaden going to do now?'

Some where inside a very lit up room. A man in a white cloak with a hood sat at a glass table, with cards upside down in front of him. He flipped a card up and it was the chariot right side up. He narrowed his eyes at this. With a certain duel that was going on. It was in the inverted position. He predicted it was someone else, but his vision was clouded. Why was that? He flipped another card up and was shocked at what was flipped.

"The devil is right side up? How can this be? Who represents the devil?" As the cloaked man tried to look into his predictions, all he saw was a boy covered in the shadows. "When the chariot is right side up, he's quite dangerous. However, the devil is also right side up. Meaning, he's having internal conflicts with himself. If it stays that way, then there's nothing to worry about for now. Athough, it can become troublesome in the future."

As the cloaked man continued with his visions, everything else he's predicted was coming into play. Earlier in his prediction, the chariot was in reverse. The current duel that was going on was in Jaden's favor. "For the sake of Aster's next victory, Jaden must defeat him. It's the only way to test Jaden's abilities."

Back at Duel Academy, Red Hat continued to observe the duel. Something wasn't adding up. If he was a freshman, why duel Jaden of all people. He expected Jaden and himself to be completely ignored entirely. He only brought attention upon himself. But this was entirely different. This felt like, it was planned. Just not the duel itself. Maybe he was over thinking this and just being paranoid.

After a while, Jaden was able to defeat the freshman with Tempest and De-Fusion combo. 'I really don't get why you even summon him, Jaden. Let alone using De-Fusion to push for game, as that's extremely circumstantial. Oh well, if it works, I'm not stopping you.' Red Hat thought.

Jaden then walked over to the freshman. Unbeknowist to them, the freshman was Aster Phoenix. "Are you okay, Freshman?" Jaden asked.

Aster smiled. "Yes, I'm fine."

Jaden smiled as Aster stood up. "Man, you weren't half-bad out there! That sure was a fun duel!"

"Yeah." Aster simply replies.

"Course, the world of dueling may be relentless, but it has it's fun, as well. So, lose and win." Jaden lightly laughed. "Do your best, freshman!"

"Thank you very much. I learn a lot!" Aster said as he began to walk away.

"So I guess I'll see you around then." Jaden said.

Dorthy looked down with a smile. "So, Jaden won, did he? That boy isn't too bad, either, if he had a good match with Jaden using a deck like that."

The others looked at her as she said that. "Well, I guess..." Syrus said unsure.

'I'd say, that was inpressieve for despite what I was able to catch of the duel.' Red Hat thought

Aster as he walked away was still wondering what this was all about. 'That was a let-down... The duel itself went as predicted, but... What about that prediction about me growing by dueling Jaden? I don't see how a duelist of his level would change me...but I guess Sartorious knows what's best. He always does.' Aster thought. He then looked and saw Jaden's friends and Dorthy at the cliff. Dorthy waved at him and he did a small polite bow with a small smile as he walked away, while the other looked after him.

Jaden walked up to the others with a smile. "That junior was something else, wasn't he? That was tough, since I'm not really the 'mentor' type."

"It's not your thing, Jaden. Besides, you're more of the 'Go with the flow' type of guy." Red Hat comments.

"When a guy who isn't great pretends to be great, he'll expose his defects." Chazz replied.

"Well, you would get hated by the juniors for it." Alexis pointed out.

"Uh...yeah, that's true." Jaden rubbed the ack of his head sheeplessly "Still, though, that freshman was pretty good out there!"

"Ahh!" The entire group jumped in shock as Syrus cried out. "I thought I've seen him somewhere!" Syrus looked through is backpack and to out a magazine and looked through it. "I knew it! That guy is Aster Phoenix!"

"Yeah, he called himself 'A.P' though..." Jaden pointed out.

"W-what really? The young genius duelist in the middle of renewing his winning streak record in the Pro-Dueling World League?!" Alexis explained.

"No way, an actual pro? That's amazing..." Red Hat muttered.

They all took a look at the magazine and saw the pitcure that the duelist Jaden had faced was indeed Aster. Red Hat soon frowned at the whole affair. 'So that's what Crowler and Bonaparte meant. Something isn't right though. If Aster is a pro, then he has no reason to come to the Academy for anything.'

"Well, that does look like him..." Jaden said as glanced a everyone. "Still for a pro, he could've used some deck building skills."

"Jaden..." Dorthy spoke up and stood up while holding Pharaoh. "What you battled against, was a deck built randomly from eight packs that were left on the shelves."

Jaden looked at her shocked. "Wha? So, I had a close duel with a deck like that? Man, Aster Pheonix."

"That's going to hurt. Almost beaten to random cards." Red Hat muttered.

"He's in shock, huh?" Alexis said.

"You're planning to rematch him Jaden?" Red Hat asked.

Jaden nodded. "Yeah I will. I want to battle him wit his real deck next time!" Jaden pumped his his arm up "Yeah! I'm looking forward to it!"

Red Hat chuckled as he began to leave. "I'll see you guys around. I'm heading to my room to put away my things." Red Hat the turns to glance at Bastion. "Don't be a stranger and do drop by the dorm every now and then, okay Bastion?"

"Don't be a stranger yourself. Most of the freshman aren't those like you saw before." Bastion said as he walks away.

Red Hat walked up the stairs and entered his old room like before, Romm 104. After setting aside his backpack and taking out his duel disk and multiple decks. He began orginizinghis things so that they were in their proper order. Once he fully orgnized all of his thing, for what litle he actually had. He went to his lower bunk bed and soon drifted to sleep, not being bothered by anything else for the day.

A while later down at the docks, Crowler sat down next to the boat with Bonaparte as the freshman students walked off it and passed them. Crowler became depressed, since he didn't see Aster Phoenix anywhere as the last student they had seen walked passed them.

"This is the last day, is it not? And Aster Phoenix has not arrived yet, has he?" Crowler said.

"Indeed..." Bonaparte nodded.

Soon Bonaparte heard one more student coming down from the boat and got a smile on his face. "There is still one aru, Temporary Chancellor Crowler."

Crowler instanly looped up with a happy and hoping look on his face. "Really?"

As the student jumped down on the docks, they saw that he was definitely NOT Aster Phoenix. He was a tall muscular teenager with a Ra Yellow jacket without sleeves as well as a green shirt, khaki pants, and had a yellow bandana tied around his head with the face of a dinosaur on it with black dreadlocks coming out from behind it. He had steel toed boots and had a military issue backpack over his shoulder.

He looked at them. "Hey, you old guys!"

Bonaparte and Crowler looked at him angered. "Old guys?"

The teenager walked over to them as he had an irrated look on his face. "You heard me, who's top command in these parts?"

Crowler spoke up. "That would be me, now then what..."

Crowler was unabe to finish his sentence as the teenager grabbed the collar of his jacket much to Bonaparte's shock. The teenager pulled Crowler closer to him with an angry expression on his face. "Why's yours truly stationed in the yellow barracks, and not in blue!"

Crowler began to sweat. "Well you see..."

The teen interrupted him. "Talk about Tyranno Hassleberry, the dinosaur-user, and there ain't no one in my town who don't know about me!"

"You, uh... are a student who, uh... entered our high school through the exam?" Crowler spoke up.

"Yeah, so what if I did?" Hassleberry asked.

"You misunderstand." Crowler replied.

"He's right!" Bonaparte spoke up. "New students from our high school are first assigned to Slifer Red or Ra Yellow!"

"Is that true?" Hassleberry questioned.

"The only ones who are able to enter Obelisk Blue right away during their first year... are those with excellent grades in our middle school." Crowler explained.

"The fact that you, entering through the exam, were abe to enter Ra Yellow shows you were the creme de la creme!" Bonapate pointed out.

Hassleberry let go of Crowler and smiled. "The very best? Me? Sorry about all that. For March, left, right, left, right"

Crowler and Bonaparte looked after him as he walked past them. "My, what was all of that?" Bonaparte questioned.

Crowler and sighed and looked up. "So, in the end, Aster Phoenix did not come, did he? The major plan we have for the Duel Academy is a standstil. What a shame..."

Bonaparte stood up with a determined look on his face. "Temporary Chancellor Crowler." Crowler looked at him. "If a star won't come to us, then it's simply a matter of making ourselves a star-se aru!"

Crowler looked at him confused. "You have some kind of plan?"

"We should just hurry and destroy that Slifer Red, and press forward with our elite education!" explained Bonaparte.

'Well now...' Crowler smiled as he and Bonaparte laughed a little. Hoever, Crowler had no idea just how far things would turn in the upcoming days.

It was during the night at Duel Academy, Red Hat sat up in his bed. He looked around and rubbed his eyes, unale to sleep. He decided to step outside to get some fresh air. He walked over and grabbed one of his deck boxes and sloely and silently walked towards the door. He opened it carefully and slipped out before closing it. While Red Hat never had any room mates. The walls at slifer red were quite thin, there were times he could hear the snoring of various Slifer Reds. Not that it ever bothered him.

He then walked over to the Slifer cliffside and sat down as he looed out over the ocean. Red Hat took out a paticular card which was Aussa the Earth charmer card. His duel spirit friend son appeared next to him, also sitting down.

'Shouldn't you be in bed right now? It's well past midnight.' Aussa pointed out.

Red Hat looked at her with a troubled look on his face, which he tried to hide. "Can't sleep to well. Just have a bit on my mind is all."

'If it's not a big deal, why did you call me out? You usually never do that unless you're troubled.' Aussa said.

"Just have a few things to worry about. From what I heard, Chancellor Sheppard is gone for a while now. Now that Dr. Crowler is in charge, things won't go well for me or the others. I also heard a pro named Aster Phoenix is attending the Academy, but from the looks of it. He didn't even want to be here. I worry, what will happen in the future for a while now." explained Red Hat.

'Is that right?' Aussa adjusted her glasses and glanced at him. 'I can't give you an answer for your latter problem. For your first problem involving your professor. Don't act so irrationally and keep your snarky comments to yourself. Don't cause yourself trouble, unless you want major issues down the line.'

"I rather not thank you." Red Hat stood up and looked over the ocean. "I could just be over reacting, but I don't know what to think. Let's hope it's nothing personal. Who knows, maybe there can be some fun this year after all."

Aussa chuckled at his comment. 'Is it that hard to be positive for once? There are many times it feels like you're going through a phase.'

"Don't remind me." He replied. "I should get some sleep. Last thing I need is to wake up tomorrow and arrive late for class."

'Do you need a strong woman to look after you while you sleep?' Aussa teased.

Red Hat scofted. "Don't be ridiculous."

'Then, why else would you call me this late at night?' Aussa smirked.

"Just needed a friend to talk to is all." He simply said as we walked back to his room quietly and turned in for the night.

As the morning rose, Red Hat would soon wake up and pick up his PDA to check the time. As he took a look at his PDA, he noticed it was 7:30 in the morning. He sat up and quickly got ready for the day. While he wouldn't eat at the Slifer Red dorm today. He decided to take a detour around the academy once again, until he reached the card shop.

Once he reached the place, he noticed the familiar sandwich cart. This time around, Sadie was the one standing near the sandwich cart, instead of Dorthy.

Sadie took notice of Red Hat and greeted him. "Welcome back! Came to buy something today?" She asked.

Red Hat took out his PDA and noticed his DP has remained the same like it was last time. "I'd like to buy a sandwich for now."

"That would be 500 DP, thank you." Sadie stated.

His eyes widened at the price. "500 DP? Why so expensive right now?"

"The prices for sandwiches were raised to prevent hording of sandwiches, and to prevent one person from buying them all." explained Sadie.

"Bummer... oh well, I'll still buy one." replied Red Hat as he took handed Sadie his PDA to confirm purchase.

"Thank You for your purchase!" said Sadie as she handed his PDA back.

Red Hat took a look at the sandwich cart and pick one of the many sealed sandwiches. As he opened it and took a bite from it, he liked the taste of this paticular sandwich. When he took a look at his sandwich. It was none other then a chicken sandwich.

"Rather good choice for the day. Let's hope this isn't a bad omen." Red Hat said as he continued to eat his sandwich while we walked along the hallways, getting to his first class of the year. He hoped this time around it wasn't a bust.

Once he made it to the classroom and sat down to his familair seat, which was at the top row. He decided to take a look around and was able to find the usual gang, including Bastion. Who he didn't find was Chazz. Where could he be? Even Jaden and Syrus were in class, even if the former would just fall asleep in class. He decided to not think about it, since he could care less about Chazz.

Soon everyone stopped talking as a Duel Proctor entered the classroom. Although something seem different about this paticualr professor, despite having similar looks to all the other Duel Proctors.

"Morning class!" The professor spoke up. "My name is Professor Mimicry, I just transfered here to this Academy just yesterday and I'll be replacing Professor Banner's alchemy class and be a temporary head master to Slifer Red until further notice."

This caused everyone, especially the slifer's began whispering about the current changes.

"Alright, that's enough everyone!" The duel proctor calls out. "While we would begin our first class today, I gotten a message from Vice Chancellor Bonaparte. We are heading to the Obelisk Duel Arena. Apparently, it warrants all of us to be there. It's a duel between Chazz and a freshman!"

Everyone, especially a certain Slifer Red perked up at the thought of watching a duel for their first day. Everyone got up from their seats and began to leave the classroom, with Jaden and his friends began running to get to the arena. Red Hat raised an eye brow at the current event.

'I wonder why? Something tells me it has nothing to do with a friendly match. Maybe promotion?' He thought. What he didn't realize, was the latter is exactly the reason.

Chazz stood up on the stage in front of a shorter boy in an Obelisk jacket with spiky brown hair as they shuffled each other's decks with Bonaparte next to them.

The kid looked at Chazz with a confidant look on his face. "I'm so glad that I'm able to duel with you, The Chazz!"

Chazz looked at him with a smirk. "Heh, you're that glad that you'll be crushed by yours truly?" They both then handed back the other one's deck. "I'll show you where you stand."

"Bring it on!"

Jaden, Syrus, Alexis and Red Hat ran through the hallway to get to the Obelisk arena. "Aw, crap! It's probably already starting!" Jaden said.

"I'm not all that excited to see Chazz duel." Red Hat added.

"Still, a duel between Chazz and a freshman..." Syrus said.

"It's a pretty sudden setting, isn't it?" Alexis questioned.

They soon reached the Obelisk arena they then saw Chazz and the freshman Obelisk move to opposite sides of the stage. Red Hat was not amused at the fact it was Chazz and another Obelisk blue dueling. It was like two snobs fighting each other.

Bonaparte took the microphone. "Everyone, you may now take your seats, si'l vous plait"

Syrus looked shocked. "Wait, so that fat short bald guy is the new vice chancellor Bonaparte?"

"Today, we will be conducting a Star Discovery Duel-de aru." Bonaparte explained as he then pointed at Chazz. "The star in question... is monsieur Chazz! If he wins, he will then be able to stage a return to the brilliante Obelisk Blue!"

"Is that true?" A student questioned.

"Awesome!" Another student said.

"Come to think of it, Chazz was originally a blue!" Another student comments.

'That's a horrible deal. Chazz will just return to his awful ways.' Red hat thought with a scowl. 'Obelisk Blue is just a place for a bunch of jokers to believe they are great. They won't last long in the Pros like that.'

"This is great, isn't it? Sounds kind of interesting!" Jaden said.

"But why is it, Chazz?" Syrus questioned. "I mean, you'd be perfect, big bro!"

"That would not be productive, would it?" They looked next to them and saw Crowler standing there.

"Dr. Crowler..."

Crowler narrowed his eyes and glared at Syrus. "It's Chancellor Crowler now, and for your information, there are profound reasons as to why Signor Chazzhas been chosen."

Alexis raised an eye brow. "What do you mean?"

Crowler looked at them a bit irritated. "Aster Phoenix, the young genius Pro Duelist, has enrolled into our Academy for this new school year."

"The genius pro..." Alexis repeated.

"If Aster has really enrolled as a student here? Then where is he and why?" Red Hat asked.

Crowler at that moment bit down on his handkerchief. "Well that's the problem here. For some reason he never showed up. I tought it would also bestow on our academy a grande status, but..."

Flashback

Crowler was sitting against the wall next to the door in the chancellor's office. He held a flower and pulled of petals from it one by one while saying. "He loves us... He loves us not... He loves us... He loves us not."

Bonaparte then came in looking irritated. "I have been looking everywhere for you!"

Crowler stood up angerly. "I need some Me Time. Is that alright with you?"

Bonaparte looked at him irritated. "What are you doing here- de aru?"

Crowler then looked at a poster of Aster with a depressed look on his face. "The great Aster hasn't been in any classes. He might just hate our academy, no?" He then began to pul petals again. "He loves us... He loves us not... He loves us... He loves us not." Crowler's depression got even worse as he got to the last petal. "Ugh, he hates us." He then tossed the petal less flower away and grabbed his head in despair. "Oh my! What a disater!"

He then ran over to his desk to a poster that was lying there. "It is heart-breaking, but I suppose it can't be helped! If the great Aster is a bust, then it is onto this plan!" He held up the poster of Chazz and the freshman student. "We will make Signor Chazz into a star that will through Aster into the water, and he will advance our Academy!"

Bonaparte got a shocked and troubled look on his face. "But there is no way that an etudiant from Slifer Red, of all places, can become a star!"

Crowler waved his finger as to correct Bonaparte. "We'll see about that! If we use the power and money of the Princeton Group, then he will assolutamente be able to become a star! However, it wouldn't be productive if we were to not raise him to Blue for the time being."

Flashback End

Alexis narrowed her eyes as she heard the plan on using Chazz to bring fame to the school. Since al of them figured it was because of his family name. "That is the most selfish, egotistical thing I have ever heard."

Crowler smiled at her happily. "Why thank you."

All three of them sweat dropped, while Red Hat scofted at Crowler. He now understood the entire circumstances of this duel. It was just a sorry attempt to promote the academy in the most asinine way. When will he realize, the Blues are nothing but egotistcal clowns. None of them would survive the Pros, if that was their end goal.

'Chazz ego will inflate by dueling and winning. Already I'm not looking forward to this duel.' Red Hat thought. Then they all turned towards the stage as Bonaparte spoke again.

"And now, allow me to introduce you all to his adversaire! He is the super-elite who graduated at the top of our middle school... Reginald Van Howell the Thrid!"

Reginald held up his arm as cheers for him could be heard. Chazz however was not amused.

Jaden and the others walked over to a few seats. Jaden at the same time looked at Reggie. "So, a freshman who rose up from the middle school can get into Blue right off the bat on his very first year, huh?"

Syrus also looked at him. "Then, he's really just like Chazz was a year ago."

Red Hat mentally scofted at this conversation. 'That is just pathetic. Also the bar has never been set lower, if he is anything like Chazz.'

Crowler who sat behind them chuckled silently. 'Signor Chazz fell to Slifer Red along the way. If he were to rise to Blue, then he is prove that his skill has not fallen by defeating Signor Reginald... who is identical to his old self.'

Bonaparte looked at the two duelists. "Well, then, we will now commence the duel with the first move by Monsieur Reginald, our nouveau student!"

Reggie then pointed at Chazz, while Bonaparte fell down from the stage as he tried to climb down. "It's hard to think they let you, the one they say was the best in middle school, fall to Slifer Red! Something must be wrong with the Academia, too!"

Red Hat scowled at his ridiculous comment. 'No, if anything The Acadmey has such a low standard. It makes you question, are the ones in Blue really good or are they just a bunch of jokers. In actuality, they are all terrible. If the academy had any standards, every last one of you jokers would be in Slifer Red.'

Chazz just looked at him. "It wasn't that they let me fall. Since that annoying Jaden and that guy with the red hat wouldn't rise up to me, I aimed to leave on my own and conquer both Blue and Red!"

That comment only got on Red Hat's nerves even more. 'You lost to Bastion with vanilla monster beatdown. That alone proves you're all bark and no bite. When will a clown like you ever learn, you'll never have the talent or the skill to beat me or Jaden.' Red Hat scofted.

"However, I've already grown tired of playing like that. I'll defeat you , and I'll return to Blue!" Chazz declares. 'And Jaden... The unwanted inseparable friendship I have with you ends here, as well... Red Hat, you're toast too...'

As the duel egins, everyone began observing the duel carefully. As Reggie did his plays. Red Hat was already not impressed and only further proved his theory. The comments he heard from his group didn't help either.

"Equip cards on his two monsters already?!" Syrus observed.

"That's the former top of the middle school for you!" Jaden replied.

Red Hat felt like he wanted to gag. 'Neg 4 for two beaters that don't even run over a Rouge Doll in battle. How is this impressive? Blair duels better then this. Heck the girls I dueled a while back Bright, Yuma, and even Wisteria duel better then this. You only proven my point. There are no standards in Obelisk Blue. Which only further makes me, not associate with any of you.'

As Reggie ended his first turn, he spoke up. "You probably don't know, but... I admired your dueling, and I've done my best 'til now! The way that you would overflow with elegance as you used the cards you chose in your smart strategies. You'll show me that greatest dueling!"

Red Hat after hearing that dead panned with distain. 'Chazz is one of the worst people you can admire. Also, nothing he's shown at any point was ever actually good. Guess rich snobs support each other, until the fall out happens.'

Both Chazz and Reggie began exchanging plays with one an other. When Reggie summoned his 'boss' monster, Gilford the Legend. That's when Red Hat took out his PDA and began searching for a little bit of information.

Alexis took notice of this. "What are you searching?"

Red Hat ignored her until he found what he needed. "I knew it. The deck, Reggie is playing is basically the Warrior's Triumph structure deck. Only he added in some his own cards."

"Structure deck? What are you talking about?" Syrus questioned.

Red Hat sighed, knowing he'd asked that. "A structure deck, is a pre-build deck made by industrial Illusions to get duelists better prepared for dueling. Those decks are usually build around a certain core strategy. Unlike starter decks, that basically give you beginner cards, so you can get started. You aren't meant to play them from the get go. You are supposed to change card ratios so it can fit the core strategy. Though often times, it's just used to get your hands on some rare cards. Which is exactly I do and just give away the rest of the cards I don't need."

Jaden sweat dropped as he heard Red Hat's explaination. "You're a real piece of work, aren't you Red Hat?"

"But it's not fair if you just toss the cards away. You can make and win with any deck if you try hard enough." Syrus protested.

"I don't build decks around themes. Especially ones as fragile as one using equips. Equips not named Premature Burial and Snatch Steal aren't worth playing. Equip cards like Megamorph are used to end the duel quickly. I have yet to find a reliable strategy with Divine Sword Phoenix Blade." Red Hat retorted as he put away his PDA.

"That's just like you as usual." Alexis sighed.

The duel continues as the gang watched on. In Red Hat's eyes, all the plays both parties were making were underwheling to why are you even trying. It gotten to the point where Chazz successfully activated Ojama Delta Hurricane. The following play left Reggie angry.

Reggie glared at Chazz. "I knew it... When did you end up using a horrible deck like that?! Unforgivable... that's nothing like the Chazz I admired!"

Chazz looked at him with a smirk. "Horrible huh? In that case, you should savor the humiliation of being defeated by that horrible deck."

'Don't flatter yourselves. Again, you admire one of the worst people out there.' Red Hat scofted.

The dueled continued and somehow Chazz was already placed in such a tight spot already. Red Hat had nothing to comment as he was already very bored. The comments he heard from the audience didn't help ease his boredom. If anything it made him dead pan even more. Soon it lead what he believed to be the last turn. That is, until he had to listen to the two snobs finish their banter.

"So the Academy was right... You really are perfect for Slifer Red! And for bums who uses those runts!" Reggie said.

Chazz glared at him. "Did you say 'Bums'?"

Reggie's smirk grew bigger. "I've heard about Slifer Red! The dorm is all worn out, the food's unappetizing, the rooms are cramped, and the dorm leader's a cat! On top of that, the duelists are all garbage, aren't they?"

Red Hat couldn't help but chuckle at Reggie's comments, but not for the reasons he thinks. 'Most of you Obelisk Blue's deserve to be in Slifer Red. If Duel Academy had any standards what so ever, then the Blue dorm wouldn't have so many of you. More reasons why I don't bother with any of you clowns.'

Chazz closed his eyes. "Sure, Slifer Red is the worst, and the duelists are all garbage, too. But you know..." Chazz opened his eys and "I was taught something by them! That the bottom lies at the bottom!"

Jaden and Syrus gritted their teeth, while Red Hat burst out laughing. "Kind of like you. You'll never have the skills to defeat me. So you are the bottom of the barrel, Chazz."

Chazz glared at him. "Quiet you, unless you want me to clobber you! Let me finish!"

Red Hat smirked. "Oh, I'm so scared." He said sarcastically.

Chazz just ignored his comment and continued. "Where was I... Oh yeah, when you lower your view point down to their position, you see things you can't see from the heights of being elite!"

'You are anything but elite, Chazz.' Red Hat thought.

As everyone continued to watch the match. Soon Chazz pulls of a win, somehow with Ojamas. In such a weird way, which only showed how awful Reggie actually was.

'That strategy won't work on me... Scratch that, none of your strategies will work on me, Chazz.' Red Hat thought with a smirk.

"How was that?! The last year hasn't been a waste for me!" Chazz then pointed at Reggie. "Even if it takes you a million years, it's impossible for you to get anywhere close to my state of mind. All being the top among the middle-school students does is put you far off from being compared to the Red duelists! You don't have any right to look down on Red or on trash cards! Listen up! You better remember this! You'll always be the same loser, while I'll always be the Chazz!"

He then held up his arm as the students in the arena, except Red Hat, began chanting. "CHAZZ IT UP! CHAZZ IT UP CHAZZ IT UP!"

Jaden then jumped down from the spectator seat and ran towards Chazz. "Chazz! So, you loved Red that much, did ya? You big softie!"

Chazz looked at him shocked as Jaden ran over to him and placed both of his hands on his shoulders. "T-That's not what I-" The other Slifers then came up and theybegan to toss him into the air and then caught him and did it again while he told them to put him down. Red Hat laughed at Chazz's expense.

Crowler and Bonaparte came over to them. "If you like Red so much, then it's impossible to unreasonably separate you from it, isn't it?" Chazz's eyes widened in shock as he heard what Crowler had said. Crowler then lifted the microphone. "Everyone, Signor Chazz will be remaining in Slifer Red!"

Chazz looked at Crowler like he grown a second head. "But I don't want to..."

Crowler looked at him with a smile. "It is unanimous decision to cancel your tansfer, is it not?"

Bonaparte sighed. "You are a Temporary Chancellor with quite the sympathie..."

Chazz couldn't believe his ears. "That's not it! You're wrong, that's not it!"

Red Hat walked up close to him. "That's Karma for you Chazz." Red Hat soon burst out laughing. "You get what you deserve, Chazz. Staying with us, and Jaden and I will be a reminder to you, that you'll never be a top dog. So long as we exist around here." Red Hat then walks away, not even bothering to glance at Bonaparet and Crowler. 'Don't think you'll get away with this mess.'

During the late afternoon. Red Hat walked along the the forest until he reached the beach side. He sta down and began to take a nap, not even bothering to lower his hat from the intense heat from the sun. He was both bored and angered at the same time from his current predicaments. Now he'll have to deal with all the nonsense both Crowler and Bonaparte will be coming up with. He shook his head, trying to calm down.

'If they try and pull anything. Jaden and I will handle it. They won't get away with their devious plans.' He thought.

When he found that many people were begining to arrive to the beach. He stood up and began walking away, not wanting to confron the many Obelisks and Ra Yellows that were coming here.

'They saw, not all of the Obelisk Blue's are bad people. Yet, why is it I can't seem to find one. Hmm, almost like they don't exist, not ever since Zane graduated. the less I say about Atticus the better,' Red Hat thought as he walked away from sight, not before being noticed by a few students.

Later that day, Syrus was walking through the hallway and was passing by the Chancellor's office and heard Bonaparte's voice. "I was very mecontent by the duel I witnessed today!" Syrus walked closer and listened in.

Inside the office, Bonaparte looked at Crowler infuriated. "If we want to send off a star from our Academy, then we must carry on with our elite training! And for that to happen, we must shut down the Slifer Red!"

Crowler looked at Bonaparte a little shocked. "However, doing that..."

Bonaparte glared at Crowler. "It's because of that attitude that, no matter how much time passes, you will be temporary!"

Outside the office, Syrus backed away from the door with a look of horror on his face. "This can't be good!" He knew he needed to tell this to someone, so he quickly left to find Jaden.

Later in he evening, Syrus told Jaden and even Red Hat on what he over heard earlier in he day. Jaden was shocked in disbelief at what Syrus told him. Red Hat growled as he gritted his teeth.

"What?! So slifer Red is getting demolished!" Jaden exclaimed.

'Bastards...' Red Hat silently sneered.

"You sure about this?" Jaden asked.

Syrus nodded. "There's no doubt about it. Still I wonder what will happen to us if Red get's demolished... You don't think we'd all get expelled, do you?! Aw, man, that's bound to be it! We'll be expelled!"

"Not if I can help it." Red Hat muttered.

Soon they all felt the dorm tremble. They looked at each other with shocked expressions. "W-What the-?! What's going on?" Jaden questioned.

"Did they come to demolish the dorm already!?" Syrus cried out.

The three of them ran out the room, but to their shock. They saw what looked like people not demolishing the dorm, but rebuilding it. Whoa! What's this thing?" Jaden asked.

Chazz looked up at the trio. "Jaden, Red Hat! I may be sick of my inseparable friendship with you two, but I'll be staying here for a little while. In exchange, I'm remodeling my room into a gorgeous one that's fitting for me."

Jaden and Syrus glanced at each other. "Did he say refarm?" Jaden questioned.

Syrus sweat dropped. "We aren't livestock. He's reforming it! I have to admit, that must be what it's like to be rich."

"If it comes with being a snob, then I rather not be a part of it." Red Hat walked to his room. "Just don't mess with anything from outside my room, Chazz. Leave my room alone." Red Hat said as he entered his room with the intention of not leaving it for the rest of the day.

Jaden however still had a bad feeling. 'Still, is Slifer Red really getting demolished?'

Meanwhile Red Hat slepted away with a slightly angered look. 'If those bastards try anything, I'll do more then humilate Obelisk Blues to prove their stance means nothing, while I'm around. Mark my words, Crowler, Bonaparte. You will not stop me and you'll never tear down a Slifer Red. Much like how you can't stop someone from the Satelite that easily.'

Red Hat took a few deep breaths to calm himself down before drifting to sleep. He now knew, this school year was not going to be a good year. And here he thought, he wouldn't have to deal with such a mess again. Guess he thought wrong.

A/N: Time to clarify some things here before we begin with the next.

1) The duels were not shown here for a multitude of reasons. They have been copy pasted to death, and few have done their own spin. So, I have nothing new to add. And I have no intention of editing duels with excessive anime cards. Cause I'd be a hyprocite if I did, especially with anime LP which I'm actively ignoring for good reason. The last time I did it was for a one time joke, to show how awful anime decks are especially with 8000 LP. If the card doesn't exist in any Tag Force games, then it will not be shown ever. Take note, some Tag Force cards are different from the real versions of the cards. I'll mention them, when they come up, to prevent confusion.

2) The Reggie duel. His deck is basically the Warriors Triumph Structure deck. Not counting Premature Burial, Pot of Greed, and two anime cards. It's card for card the actual structure deck. I'm surprised not many noticed this.

3) The reason two episodes were combined into one again, is cause nothing too important happens and I want to cut down as much filler as possible. Last time I did something like this, I got carried away.

4) Arcana readings are questionable, and almost always contradict with one an other. The Arcana reading I gave Red Hat is both Chariot and the Devil. Despite the fact this may be completely inaccurte, but was the best I can come up with on certain themes.

5) For those of you that are or will get tired of the constant berating of Obelisk Blue's. This will become much more rare as the story progresses. In the anime, Obelisk Blue's kept getting hyped up, except all decks they play are terrible even for DM standards. They are so comically bad it makes you question how are they considered good, if they can't beat 'Slifer Slackers'. If Duel Academy had any standards, then Obelisk Blue would almost be barren. Girl Obelisk... do you really want me to go there? Jasmine and Mindy are proof there is no standard for Females at Duel Academy. It's why slowly I'll be adding Tag Force characters, male and female. That way both parties aren't a complete laughing stalk. And well, to show the Red Hat not all of them are irredeemable jerks.

That's all for now. Until next time where we begin Hassleberry and introduce some TF characters.
