Once again, we find ourselves in yet another chapter of Gamer of The Multiverse. Sorry for making you all wait practically a month before the next upload. I've been busy with my original story, as well as other stories, lol.
Aside from that, I'll be completely honest when I'm saying that I never planned for this to get AS popular as it has. I guess Gamer Fics are really popular. Who woulda thunk it?
Okay, no, but seriously? Thank you guys SO much for supporting this as much as you all have been. I mean, seriously, the start of this school year (also my last! Yippe!) has been SO much more tolerable with you guys liking this. When I first put this stuff to digital paper, this was like, my last shot at creating a new fanfic before I finished one of my previous works, Dynamite and a Laserbeam, and I'm so happy that this has been received so well! So, once again, thank you!
Now, moving on from my sappy crap, it's time to respond to some reviews/comments!
[My Response to reviews/comments!]
(Qoutev) Akuji the Shsl magical girl: First of all, I gotta say, when you changed your username, I almost thought that you were a new person. Anyway, I'm glad this is meeting up to your expectations, and I hope to continue to do so in the future!
(Qoutev) Nathan: What can I say? An "Overlord of Ice" is being taught by someone with a fire spell, what could possibly go wrong?
(Qoutev) Taco Sensei: Ah, yes, I'm glad you actually noticed that. Basically, it's because her Endurance Stat is at 34. Before she started levelling up, she had the endurance/pain tolerance of a normal human. If I were to compare her to another character's level of endurance/pain tolerance, I'd say she's now more along the lines of Season 1 basic hardening Kirishima (I'm sorry, I can't think of anything else). So yeah, when Natsumi punched her, she felt those punches like any normal human would. Now she can tank basic punches and bullets. While they still pierce her skin, they don't really *hurt* her that much, if you catch my drift. I hope that makes sense.
(Ao3) Nemali [From Prologue – Where it all began]: Thank you for your kind words! I hope you continue to read this! I would love to hear your opinions about everything else!
Onxio: I mean, you're pretty close to what the actual Harem is going to look like. However, as much as I do love me some Yuri Harem, I'm afraid that we're not doing a FULL Yuri Harem. Jolyne IS bi-sexual after all. She has two hands for the two different sexes.
Kolt999: Yes, I did have that pictured in my head while writing that sentence. And yes, I fully intend to kill those wastes of human space. But, for now, you must be patient. Also, I JUST started watching their playthrough of Trigger Happy Havoc about… two hours before writing this response. Gotta say, their style of comedy is right up my alley!
Xmasboss: No worries! It does kinda annoy me too when Gamer fics start stripping away the fact that their character IS Human unless expressly stated otherwise. As for the stories that have inspired mine, well, there are a couple. For one, there's The Optimistic Gamer by: Milnir, then there's Playing for Keeps by: BackslashEcho. The final inspiration for this fic was actually Dovah VS Dogs – Redux. Outside of those, most of this is mainly from my own head, and the way I'm using The System is more of my own interpretations, mixed with the funny wit of The Optimistic Gamer. But, yeah! Those are the stories that inspired me to write this! I hope this satisfies your curiosity.
LordNimmu: I think I made it clear that when she was picking her faction (in chapter 2) that she was looking at the stat boosts, plus her own personal preference when it came to her favourite class in RPGs, that being the mage. Choosing her morality had nothing to do with her choice of faction. That being said, I do understand where you're coming from. Most Gamer Fics make their OCs as evil as possible, or as much of a goody-two-shoes as possible.
I'll also be flat-out honest and say this: While Jolyne has picked the evil faction, that does not make her a character "evil." While she will be doing some rather sinister and downright disturbing crap, it will mostly be toward awful, disgusting, and disturbed people.
Now, with that out of the way, let's get into the actual chapter!

[Jolyne Brooks]
Xenophobia.
In terms of its modern use, most people would assume that if someone has it, they are inherently bigoted. What most people don't know, or perhaps don't care to know, is what its original meaning was; that being the fear of the unknown. Why was this important? Well, for Jolyne, if you were to ask her what her biggest fear would be, it would be the fear of unknown places.
So yes, in that way, Jolyne was Xenophobic, and she would admit to it without hesitation. Did it make her a bad person? No, at least not to her, especially because she wasn't "afraid" of unknown people. With CHECK she would be able to know who they were within an instant, so that didn't apply to her.
But, why was this important? Well, to put it simply: hiding up in a tree, legs tucked into her stomach and sitting on a branch to avoid whatever the HELL she heard in the bushes below in the middle of the night in a forest attached to a campsite would classify it as being important.
It didn't make it any better that she was surrounded by pitch-black darkness, so she couldn't see anything.
Now, technically, she could light a fire, if only a small one so that she could see. but she had refused to do so! She didn't want to accidentally burn anything down and cause property damage after all! At least, that was until she remembered something rather important when it came to her flames. It didn't spread to anything when it hit something. In other words, if she used it, she wouldn't be burning down the forest.
To be completely fair to her, she wasn't exactly thinking about that at the current moment and time. All she wanted to do was get up somewhere high where she didn't have to deal with whatever the hell was in the bushes near where she had decided to fall asleep, that being a few feet away from the main campsite.
Activating Hellflame, she lit her hand on fire to create a makeshift lamp. Carefully, she edged her way to the end of the thick branch she was on, looking down at the ground below. Her scared expression shifted into one of disbelief as she saw a small white rabbit hopping about around the tree, scratching behind its ear.
If this had been any other situation, she would've thought it cute. But, seeing as it was responsible for nearly giving her a heart attack, that look of disbelief shifted to one of fury and anger.
"You gotta be kidding me…! A freaking rabbit scared me?!" Jolyne thought, a scowl forming on her face. Without thinking too hard about it, she summoned Whitesnake at the base of the tree, narrowing her eyes.
Whitesnake loomed overtop the rabbit, lifting its foot above the rabbit's head. At that moment, when the rabbit looked up at the Stand, it didn't get the chance to move out of the way as Whitesnake crushed its skull within a blink of an eye, killing it as its foot met the ground with a sickening crack, a disgusting, slimy sounding splotch, and wet sounding thump, all in one second.
For a split second, it sounded like music to her ears. However, when she realized that the thought of hearing something's skull, brain, and head getting crushed sounded even remotely good, she found that to be, well, incredibly morbid. Jolyne cleared her mind of all thoughts as a small text box appeared in the corner of her vision.
[+250 EXP to Whitesnake]
Jolyne smirked as Whitesnake kicked the rabbit corpse into one of the bushes, disappearing back to its user. 250 EXP was a lot, especially considering the fact that it was half of what Jolyne needed to level up Whitesnake past level 1. Although it shocked her how that rabbit gave her that much EXP, and while she hadn't known its level, she had deduced something as to how the people in this world gained levels.
It was a bit of a stretch when she applied it to someone like Kuzuryu, but when she applied it to someone like Nekomaru, who seemed very much like a pacifist, she knew her hypothesis was correct.
"People in this world gain levels based on life experience. So when I see someone like Nekomaru with a level of 50, it's because he's lived through countless hardships, allowing him to "level up" so to speak. Which means that rabbit most likely "levelled up" through battling hardships. And seeing as they are wild animals, it only makes sense. And seeing as I'm in a forest, there should be plenty of animals in the forest who could be easy EXP for my Whitesnake. If I can level up Whitesnake to level 25 before we get back to Hopes Peak, perhaps I can use whatever ability it unlocks to help save those kids. Not only that, but I can train Gundham while it does what it does…! Jolyne, you are a genius!"
The pink-and-black-haired teen smirked as she jumped down from the tree. When she did, she stumbled as she rolled her ankle, gasping in pain every so slightly as she took 15 fall damage. When she hit the ground, she groaned, landing on her back. As she sat up, she shook her head from the pain, which only served to make it worse.
"Note to self: Don't jump off of a tree like that… it does me no good…." As Jolyne groaned that out, she saw a figure make its way toward her. She couldn't make out who it was, at least, until they came close to her. When she saw his snow-white hair, pale skin, and what appeared to be teddy bear pyjamas, Jolyne wanted to frown.
"Oh? Well, look who it is. If it isn't the false Ultimate," Nagito Komaeda spat, smirking at seeing her grip on her ankle. "Oh? Did you get hurt? What did you do, trip and fall over a rock or something? Do you need me to get Mikan for you?" The Ultimate Lucky Student said with false sympathy in his voice as Jolyne narrowed her eyes toward him.
"Good evening, Komaeda-kun. How're you this fine evening?" Jolyne said, trying to be cordial and polite, only to earn a sneer from the teen.
"That's none of your business, trash."
Jolyne returned the sneer, trying to keep her anger bottled up. "I'm trying to be nice, Komaeda-kun. The least you can do is be nice in return. Ever heard the saying: Do unto those as you would want to be done unto you?" Jolyne asked as Nagito shook his head. He seemed to look away and began to walk past her, ignoring the plight of her twisted ankle, only to then suddenly turn around and kick her in the head, knocking her to the ground, the force of which caused Hellfire to deactivate.
For someone as skinny as Nagito was, she was shocked to find out that he had been surprisingly strong, doing 35 damage to her with a single hit, though it might have had something to do with the fact that he was wearing a leather shoe more than his physical strength. However, it was safe to say that she was not too happy for him to have kicked her in the face, especially when she tasted blood from her nose and her busted upper lip.
Seriously, what was with her nose and upper lip bleeding first!? And why was it always her face?!
Nagito loomed over her, his posture was assertive and authoritative. it exuded confidence; which was strange considering he didn't strike her as the type of guy who could have that type of energy, yet here he was. With his foot on her face, he had his back arched as he looked down upon her, his hands in his pyjama's pockets as he glowered down at her with nothing but contempt in his eyes.
"Now, I want you to me listen very carefully, Jolyne Brooks," Nagito began, ire and vitriol in his tone of voice as Jolyne fought against his foot, only for him to push down harder, keeping her against the ground. "I despise you with every fibre of my being. There is not a single ounce of respect, love, or joy in my body when I see your putrid, revolting, irritating face. I hate what you stand for. I hate the way you conduct yourself. I hate the way you look upon the rest of us as if you're equal; when in reality you are nothing compared to the rest of us. You cheated your way into becoming an ultimate due to your mystical, magical powers that you somehow acquired. That is not talent. Talent is something that someone is born with, and is something that is grounded within reality."
As Nagito spoke, he began to grind his leather shoe into Jolyne's face, tearing away at the skin on her nose, and making her busted lip and even parts of her lower lip even worse. Blood trickled down her face as she gritted her teeth, biting back any screams and shouts of pain as a small, sick smile appeared on Nagito's face.
"Do you know what you are, Jolyne Brooks? You're a fraud; in every sense of the word. Your very existence spits in the face of everything Hopes Peak Academy and by extension, the world stands for. And I for one, hope you learn that lesson very quickly. Because of you, my classmates suffered the loss of Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu, someone who was far more talented than you ever could be."
When Nagito was finished with what he wanted to say, he lifted his foot from Jolyne's face, now bloodied and slightly disfigured from the stomping and grinding. With a disgusted look on his face, he shook his foot to get the blood off of the bottom of his shoes, almost as if the mere idea of her blood being on his shoes was unsightly, and for all the wrong reasons, before then kicking Jolyne in the head, knocking her over to the side as she groaned again.
In total, she had taken 95 points of damage in the last 2 minutes, 80 of which came from Nagito. Granted, that wasn't as bad as it would've been had this been three days ago, but the point still stood. Nagito was Lv. 55. She was lucky that was all that he had decided to inflict upon her. Spitting up blood, the dual-haired teen tried to sit up, but she had been too disorientated by the multiple hits to the head that Nagito had inflicted on her.
"Let me make this abundantly clear to you, Brooks-san." As Nagito spoke her name, he did so with vitriol so thick that it sounded like he was gurgling poison. "You are a disgrace to this class. Your mere appearance here will ruin our reputation. Do everyone else here a favour, and die. That's what trash like you seem to be able to do with ease. If I remember correctly, Reserve Course suicide rates are usually somewhere around 55%, right? I could be wrong, but quite frankly I don't care. Why don't you become part of that 55%, hm?" Nagito said with a shrug. "Honestly, maybe dying to Fuyuhiko's assassins would've been a blessing in disguise? I mean, for us, that is. Not you. But your life is worthless, so what do I care?"
And with that, Nagito turned his back on Jolyne as she slowly began to stand up, and for him to fade away into the darkness of the night.
That was a big mistake.
Jolyne had a sneer on her face that took up nearly about a good quarter of it. And with the blood on her face, she activated Blood Control and shook her hand, Bear Claw forming on her arm as she charged Nagtio from behind, rearing back a punch as she planned to punch a hole straight through his chest.
And just as she got within three feet of him, his arm snapped back as he grabbed the red gauntlet, much to her shock. Using the momentum she had built up, Nagito then turned his body around, used his free hand to palm underneath her chest, then lifted her and slammed her on the ground with a mighty thud, loud enough and hard enough to make the ground shake.
Jolyne gasped in pain as she screamed, the toss doing over 135 points of damage to her, the total damage done to her now a staggering 230 points of damage, leaving her with only 95 HP! Nagito scoffed, glaring at her as he stomped on her gut, dealing another 40 damage to her, making her spit up blood and leaving her with 50 HP.
"Wow! I mean, that was just pathetic. Honestly, I don't know what you were trying to achieve there. Although to be fair, I'm sure if it wasn't for my good luck, I might've actually died," Nagito taunted, a smug grin on his face.
"See, my Talent is worthless, but at least it helps me do things and react to things like that. Even though you have superior strength, superior speed, and superior abilities, you're being beaten by a worthless piece of trash like myself, so what does that say about you?" Nagito asked, his question rhetorical as Jolyne groaned, spitting out blood to the side of her as Nagito frowned.
"And while I would love nothing more than to wipe your existence off the face of the earth, Yukizome-Sensei wouldn't be too happy with me killing you. I have no idea why she respects you nearly as much as she does, but she does. So, to keep her from being even sadder after the loss of Kuzuryu-kun, and then you for some unfathomable reason, I'll let you live."
Lifting his foot off her, Nagito walked past Jolyne as he put his hands back in his pockets. Before he left, though, he looked over his shoulder. "But know this, Brooks-san. Next time? You won't be so lucky." And with that, Nagito left, meaning she was now out of combat, allowing for her wounds to finally begin to heal as she regained her lost HP.
She didn't know how long she had laid on the floor. All she knew was that she was healing and that the wounds on her face were slowly patching up. Blood Control faded away, as did Bear Claw, returning her hand to normal.
Jolyne had been humiliated. It wasn't as if what she had lost to was some kind of super boss, or to someone else with magical abilities. Rather, it was to someone as thin, pale, sickly, and mentally unstable as Nagito Komaeda.
She wanted nothing more than to get right back up and beat the ever-loving snot out of Nagito. But, the more rational side of her told her that doing that was not a good idea. There was a clear difference between Fuyuhiko and how he went about dealing with her, and how Nagito was doing it.
Fuyuhiko used others to deal with her. It was clear he himself had no idea how to fight. And while Nagito was only attributing what he did back there as thanks to his luck, Jolyne could see skill when she saw it. Nagito knew how to fight, but Fuyuhiko didn't, therefore he used others to win his fights for him. That would mean that Jolyne would need to get stronger.
She would need to use her wit to become stronger. Not just her abilities, strength, and whatever else she had up her arse.
[You finally realized you need to use something other than brawn to beat an opponent! Congratulations! You've received a perk: Gamers Mind!]
[Gamers Mind: Anything you read, any knowledge you absorb, any hints of information you find out about people, or whatever, will go toward your Int Stat from here on out! Also, anything combat skill related, like guides as to how to become stronger through martial arts manuals or videos will be added to stats that correlate to it, as well as unlocking a new "skills" section of your character screen!]
[As compensation for the amount of information you've already gathered within the last week and a half you've been here within this universe, you will be awarded a plus 15 in INT! Although to be fair to me, you should've thought about this a while ago.]
Jolyne scoffed at The System as she cleared her thoughts. Well, at least she had a better INT stat…. whatever that did for her. Maybe it let her analyze things better? Maybe it would help her in combat? Or maybe, just maybe it would help her be LESS of a moron when it came to certain situations.
Whatever the case might've been, she had been waiting for the INT stat to finally go up at least a little bit. But when she levelled up and NOTHING happened, she was getting a bit worried.
But now, now she had an easier way to level it up. And, she had been given plus 15 as a freebie. Already she found herself looking back at her recent interaction with Nagito and picking out the smallest of details she could've changed to avoid the disaster that had happened. Like, oh, she didn't know, maybe keeping her mouth shut and just letting him pass on by without giving him the time of day? Or, well, in this case, night; but that was just semantics.
All that aside, the "skills" section of her character screen was something that she was indeed interested in. But, for the moment, she needed to get some shut-eye. And so, summoning Whitesnake to her side and giving it the command to kill any wild animals in the area for it to level up, she walked over to her sleeping bag that she had placed just underneath a few trees, got herself inside it, wrapped herself up, then closed her eyes.
Immediately, she fell asleep. And then, not even 10 seconds later, she woke up with bright sunlight in her eyes, as well as a pop-up. Adjusting to the light, Jolyne squinted to look at the pop-up in front of her.
[Whitesnake has been busy over the last 10 hours!]
[Your command to Whitesnake: Kill any wild animals in the nearby area to level up]
[results:]
[Birds killed: 29 – 50 exp each]
[Rabbits killed: 10 – 250 exp each]
[Inscets killed: 50 – 5 exp each]
[Snakes killed: 3 – 110 exp each]
[Spiders killed: 12 – 25 exp each]
[Bears killed: 1 – 1,500 exp each]
[Total Exp equated to – 6,330]
[Whitesnake levelled up to Lv. 8. Whitesnake needs 420 more Exp till it can level up again! Whitesnake has 8 skill points you can use!]
"Skill points?" Jolyne thought, still groggy from, you know, just waking up? She clasped her forehead as she squinted. The text box had gone away and was replaced with what appeared to be a skill tree shaped in the form of a spiral, starting with something known as Destructive Power.
When her finger hovered over it, a small blurb came up.
[Destructive Power 1: Increases the amount of damage Whitesnake can do using attacks! – Cost: 1 Sp]
There was almost no forethought as Jolyne tapped the small hexagon as it lit up a bright white from its original dull grey, which in of itself unlocked another hexagon that also had a small blurb.
[Durability 1: Increases Whitesnake's durability! – Cost: 2 Sp]
Once again, no forethought as she specked into it. She now had 5 more skill points to use. Once the hexagon lit up white, the next hexagon was unlocked.
[Attack Speed 1: Increases the speed at which Whitesnake attacks! – Cost: 2 Sp]
As the old saying goes: second verse, same as the first… two. The next hexagon opened up, and this was admittedly more interesting.
[Longer camouflage 1: Increases the amount of time Whitesnake is invisible when being deployed in its auto-pilot state (Ups from 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds) – Cost: 3 Sp]
Seeing as she had only 3 skill points left, she decided to speck into Longer camouflage 1. The skill tree closed once she had upgraded what she could. Although, it was odd… The tutorial had said that any EXP that she had received would be split between herself and Whitesnake. Was it not the same for Whitesnake? Was there no vice versa?
If that was the case, that was incredibly stupid. But, she wasn't one to fight logic, now as she? If anything, she was glad that Whitesnake got to level up. It meant that the whole overnight strategy worked, kinda like those crappy Idle games that invaded the Appstore. The difference? This benefited her more than some in-game currency crap.
"Witch, I have returned!" A loud voice called out to Jolyne as the dual-haired teen looked up to see Gundham Tanaka, attentive and ready for training. Jolyne bit back a sigh as she flipped the sleeping bag off of her body, and stood up. "Witch, I must ask, but… since when did you have a scar across your lip?"
"A what?" Jolyne asked as Gundham frowned.
"A scar, witch. What occurred to have brought you such an unsightly grimace upon your face? Were you attacked by a demon late last night? Or perhaps a dragon!?" Gundham continued to spout of mythical behemoths of folklore as Jolyne frowned.
"Oh, yeah, I got attacked alright. By mentally unstable Japanese goblin…." "Gundham, stop," Jolyne stated, making the ramblings of creatures—she was pretty sure she heard an immortal demi-god somewhere in his rambling—stopped. "All you have to know is I got jumped by a goblin, and they marred my face pretty bad. Now! We got work to do, so prepare yourself! This is going to be monotonous, boring, and also slightly dangerous. We gotta get that Mana count up, and in order to do that, you gotta do a lot of meditation. The alternative is killing animals, and seeing as you're an animal guy, I would like to assume you're against that, no?"
Gundham scowled. "Very."
"Good. Then let's go find somewhere for you to meditate. Then, I got something… interesting, for you to throw yourself at. If it works, at least. C'mon," and just like that, the pair wandered off into the forest. Although, on a completely unrelated note, she kinda wanted to know how it was that Whitesnake came across and killed a bear.
"Whatever, can't be too unreasonable, right?"
[Rantaro Amani, 7 hours earlier]
Camping was something that Rantaro liked to do. Hiking was another. Being in high school gave him plenty of opportunities to segway into jobs, but seeing as he preferred nature walks more than staring at a chalkboard for 314 minutes a day, he elected to spend most of his time at camping grounds where his school would never try to look for him.
There were times when he would go for weeks without setting foot at Hope's Pass High School; not to be confused with Hope's Peak Academy, as it had been running longer than HPA. Though HPHS was different because it wasn't famous for gifted students, moreso than for its dropout rates.
His current location was in Wakasu Park Camping Grounds, walking down a trail within the forest. It was rather dark out, and his flashlight was on, which illuminated the area around his vision. He had done nature walks like these before, and was right now heading back to his camping spot deep within the woods. Was it a smart idea? Not entirely, but it allowed him to get his survival experience up.
His ultimate goal was to become a world-known explorer. Technically speaking, he already was, what with his various trips across the globe and outlandish survival conditions. Most people called him insane for doing half the stuff he did, but he'd like to think he was lucky than anything else. Plus, he considered himself well-rounded enough to be part of a functioning human society.
But then again, no regular person would survive living with lions for two months straight, or a sane person for that matter. Yet he did and did so with style. So maybe he might've been a bit insane, but he wasn't stupid enough to do something as courageous as hanging around with African Wild Dogs without some form of protection, i.e. a totally legal 12 gauge automatic shot with an extended magazine loaded with buck shells with six more mags in his travel backpack on the off chance that one of them decided to get snippy.
Hey! He was a survivalist, not an animal lover. He did what he had to do, and if meant putting down animals like that at point-blank range? He saw no harm in doing so. After all, it was self-defence. Granted, he had to keep the gun and the knowledge that he had one under tight wraps, so he had someone smuggle it back to Japan for him. Cost him a hefty penny it did, but yet again, one did what one had to do to survive. Breaking a few international laws wasn't so bad, right?
"Okay, on second thought, maybe I am insane…." Rantaro thought as a sudden rustle in the bushes put him on high alert. He trained his flashlight on the bush, and what he saw was no regular bush. In fact, it wasn't a bush at all. It was a 900-pound, massive Asian Black Bear. When their eyes met, the bear roared and stood up on its hind legs.
Around this time of year, bears were just waking up from hibernation; which meant that they were hungry and would eat anything. That included human meat.
Rantaro didn't have enough time to fish out his gun from his bag as the bear fell down to all fours, shaking the ground as he fell on his rear. The bear roared again, then charged at him. Rantaro screamed, trying to alert anyone around him to gather help, or to scare the animal off. Loud noises frightened animals, so he thought it would've worked.
But, much to his shock, this bear didn't give a rat's ass. It just kept charging him, and it was getting closer. At that moment, Rantaro's life flashed before his eyes. He was going to die. There were no ifs, and's, or buts about it. He was going to become bear food.
And just as the bear got within a foot or so of him, paw raised to slap him with the full force of a charging bear…. Something white slammed into the bear's head, punching a fucking hole right through it, splattering blood, grey matter, and skull fragments all over Rantaro with a mix of fur added in just to spice things up.
Rantaro's eyes widened at what he had seen as he looked behind him, only to find nothing. He looked to his right and saw the corpse of the bear lying over on its side. To the left of the bear was a white humanoid thing wearing what Rantaro could have only assumed was some sort of playboy executioner outfit.
And if things couldn't have gotten any weirder, it looked at him as he looked at it. The figure then walked over to him, raised its hand in a chopping motion, and then all he could remember was pitch-black darkness. When he came to, he found himself back at his campsite slumped up against the wall of his rented-out cabin with a note that read:
If you ever tell anyone you saw me, know that I will disembowel you.
-Signed: Whitesnake
Rantaro didn't what the hell a Whitesnake was, only that it shared a name with a type of serpent and an old English rock band from the 80s. What he did know, however, was it saved his life. And if he ever saw it again, he would thank it for doing so. Because had it not been for it, he surely would've died. Of course, the threat was unnecessary, but considering it was most likely your above-average intelligence cryptid creature, much like the sasquatch that he had seen on numerous occasions, he would have to have assumed to it didn't want the media attention.
And now, even though it was day, he felt pretty exhausted. And so, he was going to catch some much-needed rest. You know, especially after nearly dying due to a bear attack. After all, sleep was the best medicine. Out of sight, out of mind, out of memory. What more out of sight could there be if he had closed his eyes and slept the terror of getting mauled to death off?
"Okay, so yes, I am insane. No ifs or and's about it. But! At least I'm mentally stable!"
And with that thought, he made sure the door to his cabin was locked, covered the blinds to avoid the sunlight, and just like that, Rantaro enjoyed a nice nap.
-To Be Continued-
