"Umm, hi there?" he says while looking in her direction.

Yancy hangs up and proceeds to stand up, causing Nate to do the same. She walks towards him with her arms in front of herself, face looking downward in an embarrassed manner.

"I-I'm so sorry. I wasn't sure if that was you and I d-didn't know what to say," she says with a sense of panic.

Standing next to Yancy for the first time Nate started to observe her while she spoke. She was wearing a short sleeved white blouse with a long sleeved blue dress underneath, brown boots with dark blue socks, as well as a fancy looking white hat with a pink bow design at the base. Accompanied with this was a pink satchel which she slings over her right shoulder, similar to how Nate carries a bag around as well. She also seemed to be shorter than him by a bit less than half a foot.

"No, please don't apologize. I barely got here before you arrived," he tells her in a comforting and calm tone.

"Are you sure?" she asks while finally looking at him from up close for the first time.

Nate's eyes are visibly stunned. The first thing he looks at is her hair which is a light pink and at shoulder length, matching well with her blue and white outfit. Most stunningly was her eyes which displayed a deep and vibrant blue, perfectly accompanying her fair and light skin.

"She's, beautiful," Nate thinks to himself while in awe.

He snaps out of it quickly and starts talking again.

"Yeah, no need to worry about it. I believe this is yours," he says with a small smile and his arm extended out, xtransceiver in hand, causing Yancy to smile back.

"Thank you for keeping it safe," she simply says while grabbing it, her timidity clearly showing. "Sorry for making you go through this, I'll be going now."

"It was nice meeting you Yancy," he says in a comforting but almost disappointed tone.

"I-it was good meeting you too N-Nate."

It was clear there was some hesitation in Yancy's voice. It was her time to leave but she felt hesitant. Despite this she begins to turn around and starts walking in the direction of the amusement park's exit.

"W-why. . . am I leaving?. . . Nate," she pauses momentarily. "Something about him, feels comforting. I want to stay but, I don't have a reason,"she thinks to herself before continuing to leave but in a slower pace than before.

Nate would normally starts walking away at this point as well but he hasn't. It felt as if something was holding him back.

"I- can't let her leave like this. . .I don't know why but there's something about her," he thinks to himself.

"Yancy wait!"

She turns around with a confused look on her face.

"I know this is sudden but if you're free, would you want to go around the amusement park with me?"

Yancy's face has a look of shock. Her lip starts to slightly quiver, wanting to speak but at a loss for words.

"N-no way. Is this really happening?" she thinks to herself, still not forming a sentence.

The silence grows increasingly louder and Nate himself starts to look worried.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked," he says before sitting back down on the bench in defeat.

Yancy follows him there, much to his surprise. Sitting about an arm lengths away she begins to open her mouth, words starting to finally form.

"I-I'd, love to," she says with her usual soft voice. "But-"

Nate is leaving the amusement park with a look of mild disappointment on his face, not having spent more time with Yancy. Despite this though he seems to be satisfied about his meeting with her.

"I'm sorry, my schedule is pretty tight right now because of work," she told him with clear sincerity in her voice.

"Don't worry, it's fine," Nate replies with a light but dishonest laugh.

"Umm, well can you do this for me?" she says in a more quiet and timid tone.

Her arm was extended outward holding her xtransceiver, handing it to Nate. Yancy's head was slightly tilted towards the ground to where her hat covered her the top half of her face.

"I-I'd like to keep talking with you. I-If you don't mind," she embarrassingly tells Nate, her cheeks coated with a pink tint.

Her xtransceiver is already on the "create a new contact screen". Nate enthusiastically fills it out, a grin forcing itself on his face while doing so, much to Yancy's delight.

"Are you staying here for long?" She asks while waiting for her xtransceiver.

"I'm- not really sure," he answers honestly. "I'm just waiting to challenge the gym here then I'm leaving so probably not."

"Oh- hehe. I'm also unsure how long my job will make me stay for," she awkwardly says trying to fill in small talk before Nate hands the phone back.

She retrieves it with delight and is about to ask to do the same with Nate's until she notices something.

"Oh my goodness! I lost track of time," she says while rushing to put her xtransceiver in her bag and standing up in a hurry.

"Wait what? Did something come up?" he worriedly asks.

"No, it's just my job again unfortunately," she says in a miserable tone of voice.

She starts jogging away but stops quickly to say one final thing.

"I promise I'll call you," Yancy says in a whisper just loud enough for Nate to barely hear.

Near the exit of Nimbasa's amusement park Nate stares at his phone, surprisingly looking forward to a call for once. He hears a commotion and starts to eavesdrop.
