AN: It's been a while since this story got an update. I've been busy with my other story so I thought it was time to get back into this. I still plan to complete this story no matter what!
The Festival Reunion
One, Two, Three
Josh, Kiara, Charizard and Gardevoir was standing in the field, looking up at the sky as they feel a gentle breeze.
Hey, is it time, is it time, is it time? Hurry up!
Josh was flying on Charizard's back through the sky.
Are you ready to head out?
Kiara was making sure that they have everything they need.
We don't need a sendoff
To the strange world I want to show you
Josh and Kiara was flying on Mega Rayquza's back high above the world of Pokémon as Mewtwo and Deoxys was flying by.
Be it through fire or through water
I'm fumbling blindly through the days
When I don't even know what the next second will bring
Josh, Kiara, Charizard, Lucario and Gardevoir was traveling through the regions they visit.
Each and every one of my memories
A pink orb was floating above Josh and Kiara's heads. The orb disappeared, revealing Mew.
Can always be found inside a ball
Josh and Kiara looks at each other and nodded before throwing a Poké Ball.
On 1,2,3, dive in!
Mike, Rose and Emma stood watch as Josh, Kiara, Charizard, Gardevoir and Lucario were meditating as Scorbunny, Sobble and Grookey played together.
I've got the future plans I imagined in my pockets
Scorbunny was training with Josh as Sobble, Kiara and Gardevoir was surprised by Grookey's rythm.
Greeting someone new is always fresh
Josh, Kiara and their Pokémon was facing off Blaze and Sir Ricky as Reiki stood on a cliff, battling against a Turnonator.
No need (No need!) to hesistate! Try! (Try!) Let's have a fight!
Charizard flew towards Tyranitar with her Dragon Claw as Scorbunny used Ember on Beedrill while Sobble used Water Gun on Onix.
1: Once The Battle Is Done
Josh and Kiara finished sparring and stares at each other.
2: And we're laughing or crying
Charizard smiled while Scorbunny was trying to cheer up Sobble.
On 3, let's be friends!
Josh and Kiara were surrounded by their Pokémon, Mike, Emma and Lucia.
Any day and every day, that always been my rule
Josh, Kiara and Lucia were visiting several landmarks and meeting different various Pokémon from the other regions.
With this unpredictable, boundless world waiting
Josh, Kiara and their partner Pokémon were facing Zacian and Zamazenta in a forest.
Let's go! Every time you trip and fall
The three starter Pokemon of Galar were on the ground after they tripped. They all ran to their new friends.
Let's go! You pick yourself up by my side
Josh and Kiara smiled as the two of them saw many different Legendary Pokémon.
I choose you
Josh and Kiara were standing in a grassy field looking up at the sky.
The plane entered Kalos Air Space. Kiara was sitting next to Josh who fell asleep near the window while Gardevoir was sitting on the edge. John was sitting in between Lucina and Emma.
"This is your first time coming here to Kalos, right John?" Kiara asks him.
"You bet." John answered. "I wonder what Kalos is like."
"You'll be amazed." Kiara chuckled. Her chuckled caused Josh to wake up from his nap.
"Are we almost there?" Josh lets out a small yawn, opening his eyes.
"Yes Josh." Kiara smiled at him.
"Good." Josh said, looking through the window.
After the plane landed in Lumiose City, they traveled to Shalour City where Josh and Kiara to compete in the Battle Festival Challenge. They made it to Shalour City and John wanted to go see what kind of Pokémon are around. Lucina and Emma went with John too and they'll be back to cheer Josh and Kiara in their matches.
John and the two girls ran onto the beach. "Hey, there's one." John spotted a Binacle tugging on a leaf.
"There's a blue flower Flabébé!" Lucina spotted as she begins to follow it.
Meanwhile, Kiara is watching Josh in his third match from the stands. She completed her four matches and got into the Great Class.
"Groar!" Charizard growled as she landed on the ground, looking at Hitmontop.
The Hitmontop's trainer was a Black Belt Girl.
"Get in close using Tripple Kick!"
"Hitmon!" he shouted, jumping up and begins to spin on his head towards Sceptile.
"Counter back with Leaf Blade, let's go!" Josh ordered.
"Scept!" he shouted. His four leaves on his wrist glowed light green and form into two. As Hitmontop was close, he slices Hitmontop.
"Mon!" Hitmontop cried out in pain as he got sliced and hit ground.
The Drone Rotom flew over to Hitmontop. "Hitmontop is unable to battle, so the victory goes to Josh of Sandgem Town!"
"Excellent work, Sceptile!" Josh smiled as his Pokémon walks over to him.
"That's Josh's third straight win." the announcer said. "A fourth win will put him into Great Class!"
Josh and his Pokémon, Charizard, Raboot, Yamper and Sceptile, were sitting on the bench, looking through the Poké Dex. "Just one more win and we'll enter the Great Class, thanks to you guys." Josh informs his team. He heard a pair of rolling blades coming towards him. Looking up from the Poké Dex, Korrina stops in front of him with her Lucario.
"Korrina!" Josh smiled.
"Long time no see!" Korrina smiled.
Kiara's Lucario ran up to them with Kiara and the others.
"Good to see you again, Charizard and Lucario." Korrina said, rubbing their faces. "How've you been?"
"Char!" Charizard smiled.
"My name is Korrina." Korrina introduced herself to John and the others. "And this is my partner, Lucario!"
"Hm." Korrina's Lucario introduced itself.
"I met Josh, Kameo and Kiara a while back, and our battle was quite a sight." she told them.
"That's true." Kiara said.
"So, Korrina, are you in the Battle Festival Challenge, too?" Josh asks Korrina.
"Yes, but not as a Gym Leader." Korrina answered. "I'm just another challenger. Winning my way to battle Leon!" Everyone was surprised to hear that from her. "This is why Lucario and I have been training as hard as we have been." She takes out her phone and shows them her ranking. Her rank is 1001. "To win, and win, and win some more to move up in the rankings! And with my very next victory, I'll rank up and enter the Great Class! You too, right?"
"Kiara already entered the Great Class." Josh said. "Let's have a battle to see who will get into the Great Class."
"We'll catch up with you later." John told him.
"Sure thing, John." Josh said as he watches John, Emma and Lucina walking away from them.
"Now what kind of Pokémon is here in the forest?" John wondered as the three of them stopped walking.
A Lucario walks out of the bushes.
"Another Lucario?" Lucina gasps.
A man walks up to them. "I can take it that this is your second encounter with a Lucario?" he asked.
"Yes." John said. "This is our first time visiting the Kalos Region."
"Are you familiar with this area?" Lucina asked.
"You can say that. My granddaughter is battling in the stadium today." he pointed at the stadium. "I thought I'd go over and see how's she doing."
"That's where our two friends are right now." Emma smiled. "They traveled from Kanto to compete, and we wanted to see what kind of Pokémon are around here."
"Interesting. My granddaughter is friends with Josh, Kiara and Kameo." the man said.
"Josh and Kiara?!" John gasps.
"That's right." the old man looks at them.
"They're over at the stadium right now!" John exclaims.
"Now, on the rock battlefield, we will have a Normal Class battle and it's Josh and Korrina! For today's battle, each will use two Pokémon!" Drone Rotom said.
Everyone in the stadium was cheering.
"Listen to that crowd cheer! They're cheering for their Shalour City Gym Leader!" the announcer exclaims. "She'll be facing Josh from the Kanto Region!"
John and the others entered the stands.
"We made it!" Lucina smiled. "There's Josh!"
"I'm amazed!" Gurkin exclaims. "He's up against my granddaughter!"
"Will both competitors please bring out your Pokémon? Thank you!" Drone Rotom yelled.
Josh and Korrina took out their Poké Ball.
"3! 2! 1! Go!"
They both threw their Poké Balls into the air. The spheres open, releasing a white light as Sceptile and Mienshao appeared on the battlefield.
"Battle begin!" Drone Rotom declared.
"Use Acrobatics!" Korrina ordered.
Meinshao's body becomes outlined in white and strikes with Sceptile's Leaf Blade.
"And the rock battlefield begins!"
"Sceptile, use X- Scissor!" Josh commanded.
Sceptiles's arms glowed light blue before crossing his arms over and rushes to Meinshao, tackling it.
"Mein!" It grunted a bit.
"U-Turn!"
"Mein!" Meinshao shouted, doing a front flip and kicking Sceptile in the head before transforming into red energy and wetnt back inside the Poké Ball to have Lucario appear on the battle.
"And there's the U-Turn power! As Meinshao is instantly replaced by Korrina's second Pokémon, Lucario!"
"Not a bad move." Lucina folded her arms.
"A wise decision by my granddaughter." Gurkin smiled.
"Sceptile!" Josh shouted, causing him to look at his trainer. "Watch that speed of Lucario!"
"Tile!" Sceptile nodded his head and looks back at Lucario.
"Lucario, use Bone Rush!" Korrina commanded.
Lucario puts its paws together and spreads them apart, creating a light of two blue bones of energy and rushes toward Sceptile.
"Block it with Leaf Blade!" Josh shouted.
Sceptile blocks the bones with his Leaf Blade and attacked back, causing Lucario to block back. The Aura Pokémon did a backflip and landed several feet away from him.
"Whoa!" Joh gasps. "Josh had time to counterattack."
"He has been trained well." Emma said.
"There's no hole in her defenses as Korrina and her Pokémon are one." Gurkin said.
"Lucario, return!" Korrina shouted. Her Lucario went back inside the Poké Ball. "You're up one more time, Meinshao!" She throws the Poké Ball and Meinshao appeared on the battlefield.
"And with Lucario switched out for now, Meinshao is up once again and these two haven't even earned a scratch!"
"Ready to go?!" Korrina shouted. "Use High Jump Kick!"
Meinshao jumps in the air and one of its knees starts to glow yellow.
"Dodge it!" Josh ordered.
Sceptile quickly dodges the attack and Meinshao crashed.
"Use Dragon Claw back-to-back!" Josh ordered.
Sceptile's hands became covered in a green light and attacked Meinshao, not giving it a chance to attack back. Meinshao was sent flying into one of the rocks.
"Meinshao, use Double Slap!"
"Shao!" it cried, rushing towards Sceptile.
"Frenzy Plant, let's go!" Josh ordered.
"Tile!" Sceptile shouted, sticking his hands into ground and makes giant roots come out of the ground and hits Meinshao.
"Shao!" it cried as it hit the ground.
Drone Rotom flew over to Meinshao. "Meinshao is unable to battle!" Drone Rotom declared.
"Excellent work, Sceptile!" Josh exclaims to him
"With that win, Korrina has her Lucario left! That Frenzy Plant really helped out!"
"Meinshao, return now!" Korrina exclaims. Meinshao transforms into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball. "It's up to you now, Lucario!" She throws the Poké Ball and Lucario appeared.
"You know that by battling you gets me fired up, Josh!" Korrina smiled.
"I know, Korrina!" Josh smiled. "Time to show me what Lucario can do because I feel the same way!"
"Now this is where things get interesting." Gurkin said.
"What?" Lucina asked, looking confused.
"Here we go!" Korrina shouted. "Unlock the power within! Mega Evolve!" Touching the keystone erupted a powerful light from the keystone and the Lucarionite.
"GRAH!" Lucario roared as it was covered in a rainbow light. The light disappeared, revealing Mega Lucario. From a single roar, a powerful gust of wind.
"That's Mega Evolution?" Lucina breathed.
"I see this is your first experience." Gurkin said. "Mega Evolution is a phenomenon discovered in the Kalos Region that releases a Pokémon's hidden power. It only occurs when trainer and Pokémon have developed a deep bond of trust with each other."
"Lucario, use Aura Sphere!" Korrina commanded.
Mega Lucario puts its hands together and creates a blue ball of energy in between them. Mega Lucario then fires it at Sceptile.
"Tile!" Sceptile shouted as he got slammed into a rock.
"Sceptile couldn't avoid the attack after using Frenzy Plant!"
"Tile...!" Sceptile growled, standing back up.
"Sceptile, return!" Josh exclaims. Sceptile transforms into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball. "Go, Charizard!" he throws the second Poké Ball and Charizard appeared.
"Groar!" Charizard roared.
"And Josh recalled Sceptile for Charizard to battle Lucario!"
Kiara was sitting in the front behind Josh.
"Key Stone, respond to the call of my spirit and the bond of the Pokémon. Charizard, Mega Evolve!"
The Mega Stone and Key Stone began to glow and Charizard was covered in a pink light cocoon. The cocoon burst and Charizard appeared in her Mega X form.
"Groar!" Mega Charizard X roared.
"Looks like this just became a Mega Battle!" John smiled.
"I'm not surprised!" Korrina exclaims. "Aura Sphere!"
Mega Lucario puts its hands together and creates a blue ball of energy in between them. Mega Lucario then fires it at Mega Charizard X. The claws on both of Mega Charizard X's hands become surrounded in light green, claw-shaped energies. It then strikes the sphere with one of them.
"Now use Flare Blitz!" Josh ordered.
Mega Charizard flew towards Mega Lucario with her entire body covered in blue flames, tackling Mega Lucario in the process.
"Gah!" Mega Lucario screamed as it slammed through several rocks.
"Lucario!" Korrina gasps.
"Now, Inferno!" Josh commanded.
Mega Charizard X opens her mouth and fired blue flames at the Aura Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Power-Up Punch!" Korrina ordered.
Mega Lucario dodges the flames and runs up to Mega Charizard X, punching her in the stomach.
"Zard!" Mega Charizard X grunted.
"Mega Lucario's attack has been increased thanks to the Power-up Punch!"
Josh watches her hit the ground. "Charizard!" Josh called worried.
Mega Charizard X shook the pain off and stood up.
"Good!" Josh smiled.
"Use Aura Sphere!" Korrina commanded.
Mega Lucario fires a blue sphere at Mega Charizard X.
"Finish this with Blast Burn!" Josh ordered.
Mega Charizard X's body becomes engulfed in light blue flames. She then punches the ground, sending a wave of energy into the earth which then moves underneath the opponent. The energy then bursts upwards in a giant explosion of red-orange flames as she took the sphere as both opponents were covered in smoke. The smoke cleared, revealing the two Mega Pokémon.
"Both Mega Lucario and Mega Charizard X are still standing after those two attacks! Can they keep going?!"
The stadium was filled with silence. Korrina gasps as Mega Lucario fell sideways and reverts back to normal. Rotom Drone flew over to the knocked out Lucario.
"Lucario is unable to battle! That means the victory goes to Josh!" Rotom Drone announced.
"Josh and Charizard have come out on top!"
"Good job." Josh said to Charizard as he walks up to her and places his hand on her head.
"With this win, Josh is at 920!"
Josh smiled.
"You did good, Lucario." Korrina said to the Aura Pokémon.
Josh, Kiara, Lucina, John and Charizard were standing outside of the stadium with Korrina, Lucario and Gurkin.
"Well done, you two." Gurkin smiled. "You two have made it to the Great Class."
"Thanks." Josh thanked him.
"So how did it go?" Kiara asked Lucina.
"It was good." Lucina answered. "We saw a few good Pokémon."
"Awesome." Kiara smiled.
Their Kalos Trip may be winding down, but you can all be sure that our heroes journey stills continue!
