A/N: The time has finally come! I promised, and I hope that I delivered, with my longest chapter yet! Enjoy!

Chapter 50

Unfortunately, their long-awaited reunion would be cut short by the usual Imperial invasion. Luckily though, it was only two Imperials that entered. The real issue was who they were. As the two new enemies entered the room, Obi-Wan, Leia, and Ahsoka all pulled out their lightsaber hilts, but the sight that met them caused Obi-Wan and Ahsoka to gasp and lower their weapons in shock, whole Leia just glared harder at the smaller figure. Leia recognized Scion as one of their enemies here, but as for the other, taller man beside him, she had nothing. Luckily, Obi-Wan seemed to know him. "A-An…" Obi-Wan stuttered. "Still Vader, actually, Obi-Wan," said the armored and caped man with a smirk, though he was the spitting image of the man he had been 15 years ago. Now, Leia's eyes widened as she realized that Scion's master standing next to him was wearing the face of her biological father, a face she had never seen until today. Ahsoka wanted to speak, but she could only stare wordlessly at her former Master, now claiming that he was Vader, as in the Emperor that had subjugated the galaxy for years. When Vader's yellow eyes landed on her, his grin only seemed to get wider. "Hey, Snips," Vader said in her Master's voice, and those two familiar words nearly caused her to break. As it was, her eyes began to shed tears, which she quickly wiped away in a vain attempt to keep Vader from knowing how badly and how easily he had hurt her.

Finally, Vader's eyes landed on Leia, and they narrowed in familiarity before flicking back and forth between her and Obi-Wan. He then let out a loud laugh, so familiar to the ears of his old friends, and the sound was like acid in their ears. "Oh, I see. Kenobi, you discovered that Organa's daughter was Force-sensitive, so you thought you would take her on as an apprentice? Are you sure that's wise? You don't have the best track record for taking care of your apprentices, you know. Then again, I suppose you must be getting desperate. Is this the famous 'Kenobi' girl? You let her take your name? Just like you, Obi-Wan, always…" Obi-Wan had already stopped listening to him. Years ago, it had been easier to listen to Vader's voice when it was deep and resounding, but now it was his friend's voice and he couldn't bear it. Not to mention, he was distracted when his gaze fell on the young boy next to Anak… Vader. Luke was thin and pale. Of course, use of the Dark Side always exacted some toll on its user, usually in physical appearance, but even though he had been thin on Tatooine, it was still a shock for Obi-Wan to see him so damaged, like he carried a great weight on his shoulders. Growing up on a desert planet with two suns, Luke had also been very tanned, but even as pale as he now was, there was no mistaking him.

"I'm sorry," Obi-Wan whispered, knowing that Luke couldn't hear him, but he felt that he needed to say it. He didn't know who he was more shocked to see the changes of, Anakin or his son. Vader noticed where Obi-Wan was looking and tried to get his attention again. "I know what you're thinking, Kenobi. 'He looks just like his father.'" Leia started next to Obi-Wan, but Vader didn't notice. He had already decided that Leia was insignificant, and his gaze was entirely focused on his old Master and his old apprentice, the two greatest sources of fuel for his hunt for Jedi over the last 15 years, together in one place. At the other end of the room, Maul finally got back to his feet and glared at the three Jedi. Turning to Vader and Scion, he growled out, "Here, pretender to the Sith. If you want these Jedi dead, then we'll work together to achieve our common goal, understood?" Scion glared and took a challenging step towards Maul, but Vader stopped him with a look and nodded in acceptance to Maul.

Maul came to stand next to the two other Sith, and each of them ignited their lightsabers. In response, Obi-Wan and Leia both ignited their own blue blades, but both were shocked when Ahsoka ignited both of her lightsabers, revealing blades of a bright white. Obi-Wan would've asked her where she got them, but they were a bit too busy to talk right now. The Sith began to approach, their four blades shining a menacing blood-red, and the Jedi quickly moved forward to meet them, knowing that there was no way out of the coming conflict. Maul tried to sprint ahead to get to Kenobi, but Ahsoka was swift to move into his way. Maul growled but engaged her in combat. She may not be Kenobi, but he had a bad history with Lady Tano as well. He would get to Obi-Wan soon enough. For now, Vader moved to fight Obi-Wan, and he was much faster than he had been on Alderaan, the last time Obi-Wan saw him. If Obi-Wan hadn't increased his training, he would've been overcome in seconds. As it was, he was immediately on the defensive, until he remembered that he had trained for this very moment. Pushing Vader back, Obi-Wan took a second to transition into Form VIII, and when Vader saw the unfamiliar stance, he took up his own defensive position, familiar with Obi-Wan having some trick up his sleeve.

Finally, there was Scion, who'd engaged Kenobi's apprentice, but to his aggravation, she didn't seem to want to fight. As they were in a saber lock, she leaned forward and asked, "Are you really Vader's son?" Scion growled and pushed her back. He spun his lightsaber around in his hand and charged her, but she simply sidestepped him and held her lightsaber to her side, not even defending herself. She held out her hand and smiled at him. "My name is Leia," she greeted him. Scion was confused, but he just shook his head and yelled out, "Stop talking and fight me!" He attacked her again, swinging and stabbing, but she just slid under or around everything. He turned to look at her with rage. She was clearly mocking him, appearing to dance around him effortlessly, trying to make him appear weak, and it infuriated him. With a roar for a battle cry, he jumped high at her, aided by the Force, and prepared to bring his lightsaber down to cut her in half, but she appeared completely calm. She just looked at him curiously and asked, "You're Luke, right?" Scion lost his concentration and swung down at her, but it was sloppy, and she stepped to the side and, with a light swing of her lightsaber, his own weapon was knocked from his hands to fall onto the floor, but he didn't even notice. How could she possibly know his real name?

Vader saw his apprentice get disarmed and grit his teeth in anger. It seemed that he would have to increase Scion's training, if he could be defeated by Kenobi's pathetic attempt at training an apprentice. For whatever reason, he felt a connection to the Organa girl. It was probably because her movement was similar to his own, as they had been trained by the same Master. She was supposed to be his replacement. With that thought to fuel Vader's jealous rage, he spun around Obi-Wan's lightsaber and thrust out a hand at the small girl, standing threateningly next to Scion's frozen form, and she was sent flying across the hangar. "Leia!" Kenobi yelled out, and Vader smirked to hear real concern in Obi-Wan's voice, or at least the same convincing approximation of concern that Vader had heard so often before, most memorably on Mustafar. That had been when Vader had realized that Kenobi had never really cared about him, as he tried to use his "loving" tone to convince Vader to believe his lies. No doubt the girl had fallen for those very same lies. However, whatever it really was, it gave Kenobi strength, as he turned and used a Force-push of his own on Vader, who was sent flying backwards. Vader plunged his lightsaber blade into the ground to slow himself to a stop, and he looked up and smirked at Kenobi. Kenobi pointed his weapon at Vader and declared, "You will not hurt her, Vader. Not like you hurt Padmé." Obi-Wan hadn't wanted to bring her up, and he knew it was a low blow, but it was necessary that he bring Vader's rage on him rather than letting him focus on Leia. Unfortunately, it wasn't just Vader's rage that he attracted.

When he heard Kenobi say that, Luke finally woke from his frozen moment of pondering. His usually flickering eyes temporarily turned a full yellow and he summoned his weapon with the Force as he leapt at Obi-Wan, swinging wildly. "It wasn't him, it was you! You are the reason for my mother's death!" Luke screamed at Obi-Wan, who wore a sad expression as he blocked Luke's attacks, not trying to attack back. "Luke, I'm so…" "STOP calling me Luke! I am Lord Scion! Now what is wrong with you, mighty Jedi?! FIGHT ME!" Obi-Wan's sad expression got even sadder with resignation, realizing just how badly Vader had brainwashed this boy. "As you wish," Obi-Wan said, and he used the Force to pull Luke into the air. Luke thrashed and fought, but he could not match Obi-Wan, and he felt his weapon get pulled from his grip. As he was disarmed again, Luke's eyes turned to a bright blue, a color that they hadn't purely been in years, as his face filled with fear, unsure of what Kenobi would do to him when Luke was at his mercy.

"DON'T TOUCH HIM!" Vader yelled out, and forgetting his powers or weapon, he simply barreled bodily into Obi-Wan, releasing Luke from his grip. Obi-Wan had to defend himself with his hands as Vader threw punches at him, though he didn't block all of them as his brain was suddenly assaulted by a familiar voice, that of Obi-Wan's old Master, Qui-Gon Jinn. "Anakin defended the boy." That was all Qui-Gon said, and it left Obi-Wan both shocked and confused. He had thought for years that his Master may one day speak to him, and now that he finally did, that was what he said? Vader was finally pulled off of him by Ahsoka, during one of the few short breaks she got in her fight with Maul, and Obi-Wan quickly climbed back to his feet. He'd have to process what his Master meant later.

Ahsoka had thrown Vader to the ground when she pulled him off of Obi-Wan, so Vader jumped back to his feet with a certain agility that he had lost years ago, and couldn't help but think that it was good to be back in top condition. This was why he had refused to wear heavy armor, because it would have hindered his body's maneuverability. It was acceptable when his clunky metal body slowed him down, but now he preferred speed. He was back in a standing position in a second and immediately charged again at Obi-Wan, this time swinging his lightsaber as it jumped to his hand, but Kenobi blocked. While the two old friends continued their battle that had been continuing for 15 years in some shape or form, Luke finally managed to get to his feet, still in slight shock from Kenobi's demonstration of power, until he was knocked over the head by something small and hard, and he fell into unconsciousness.

Leia stood regretfully over the young boy, her lightsaber hilt held dejectedly by her side. She now knew this boy to be Vader's son, and if he was Vader's son… then he was her brother. She didn't want to fight her brother, so she just settled for knocking him unconscious. Hopefully she also knocked some sense into him. She looked around at her two companions. The Togruta, her Master's apparent friend, was doing surprisingly well against Maul, even though Leia knew that she herself wouldn't have stood a chance in her place. Obi-Wan was having a slightly harder time, so Leia ran over to help him.

Vader had engaged Kenobi in a saber lock when suddenly he felt a tremor in the Force. He pushed Kenobi away from him just in time to spin his lightsaber around to deflect a lightsaber thrown by the Organa girl. Vader growled and said, "Apprentice, take care of this…" He then broke off as he saw Luke, slumped over on the ground about 10 meters from them, completely unmoving. Vader's soul filled with rage and he summoned the Force to build inside him, before he unleashed it in all directions with a yell. Everyone in the room was sent flying, except for Vader and Luke, and all lightsabers turned off as they flew from their owner's hands. Vader walked over and felt Luke's pulse, relieved to feel that he was still alive, but likely had a concussion. He considered enacting vengeance against the girl, but stopped when a familiar voice in his head told him, something his mother had ingrained in his mind years ago. "Family take care of each other first, Ani." Vader nodded as his eyes momentarily changed to blue, and he picked up Luke's small form and began to carry him out of the hangar. Obi-Wan stirred after hitting his head and looked up to see Vader carrying Luke away. Obi-Wan slowly stretched out his hand and summoned his lightsaber before activating it. At the sound of the hum, Vader turned his head and glared at Obi-Wan, but he couldn't do it as intensely as he'd hoped to. Obi-Wan had wanted to continue the fight, but he froze upon seeing that Vader's eyes had changed back to their original color. Anakin?

As Vader walked pit of the room, the Imperial forces that had been waiting outside burst in. Obi-Wan quickly got to his feet and sent a message to Leia and Ahsoka through the Force, telling them to wake up. Both of their eyes snapped open, and they readied themselves for battle just in time to begin deflecting shots from the attacking stormtroopers. All three of them began to back up towards Obi-Wan and Leia's ship. Once they were close enough, Leia ran inside the ship to start the engines while Obi-Wan and Ahsoka kept deflecting blasts. Soon, Leia yelled, "We're ready! Let's go!" and Obi-Wan nodded to Ahsoka. Ahsoka deactivated her lightsabers and was about to board when she noticed the stormtrooper in front wasn't a stormtrooper. He was wearing Clone armor, and the blue markings, especially the Jaig eyes on the helmet, were very distinctive and familiar. Ahsoka continued to stare until she was forcefully brought back to the moment when Obi-Wan had to deflect a blaster bolt from hitting her right in the face. "Ahsoka! We need to go!" Obi-Wan yelled, and Ahsoka quickly ran up the ramp, closely followed by Obi-Wan. The ramp closed and the ship lifted off the ground, the stormtroopers' shots doing nowhere near enough damage to stop the escaping Jedi as they turned around and blasted out of the hangar.

A/N: Another chapter out, and the best one yet, in my opinion! Fitting for the 50th chapter in the story! I hope you all enjoyed reading it as much as I did writing it! In case anyone is wondering what Obi-Wan would've done to Luke, he just wanted to scare him. There is one proven cure to arrogance, and that is humility. Also, in case you have concerns about Luke and Leia's power levels, keep in mind that they are 15 years old. Ezra Bridger is the exact same age, and he was a gifted Jedi as well, though perhaps not to the same extent, so I'm trying to keep Luke and Leia on about the same level as where he is. (Though a bit better, as they've received better training, and after all are Skywalkers for crying out loud!)
