A/N: Since this story has gone on for so long with no feedback or support, I'm shutting it down with this chapter…

OOOOOOOOOOOOO

Mira followed Razer through the mansion, bitter tears swimming in her eyes. Her hands were tightened into shaking fists and she could feel the bite of her growing nails in her palms, though she ignored it.

"Razer! You're not going out after Rayne!" Mira snapped, heels clicking as she followed her boyfriend. "I order you not to go!"

"You can order me all you want, little girl, but I'm no longer listening to your orders," Razer said, his voice tense as he picked up random knives, finding them too kind for his purpose. "Rayne dies tonight by my hand and no other."

Mira rolled her eyes. "This is just because I told you I'm pregnant?!"

"No, this is because you're weak and couldn't handle killing her months ago when you should have. This is because I should have killed her when I first saw her becoming cruel to you when you were standing in the Bloody Hook so damn long ago as a rebellious youth." Razer glared at her. "This is because she will not take what is mine."

Mira stared at him with darkening eyes and felt the first tear slip down her face. "Is that all I am to you? A possession? Just like your Havoc? Your guns and knives? Is that all that I have ever been to you?"

Razer growled and looked away, waving her off. "You're not going to sway me over with tears and brokenhearted words now, Mira. I have something that needs to be done. And you will thank me later."

"I won't ever forgive you if you go out," Mira promised him. "I may never say another word to you again, Razer."

She turned and walked away, her back stiff, but her will crumbling.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Razer killed all the guards that he felt like, finding them weak. Of course, they hadn't been trained by him or they would have fared better. Still, a master mercenary doesn't reveal all his tricks.

The silent alarm was already going off, signaling his intrusion into the complex, but Razer highly doubted that Rayne would turn tail and run. She liked playing with her enemies as much as her father once had. As all Krews, except for Mira, did.

Razer banished the thought of his girlfriend out of his mind. The thought of the little box that he'd tucked in his coat the night earlier as well. She would forgive him in time for what he must do tonight. And then he would ask her what he'd intended to before finding out her news.

No mother of his child would deal with the constant threat of assassination by her own cousin.

No future wife of his would fear to drink from a public cup or step outside.

It would end tonight.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Mira stood by the window, looking out at the City that she had loved for so long. Her hand pressed against the flat of her stomach, picturing it round one day and full of life.

A tear slid down her cheek and Mira's eyes closed.

This isn't right. He shouldn't be out there…but there's no stopping the Razer when he gets his mind set on something…

Mira shook her head and turned away from the window. "Goodbye cousin…I'm sorry, Uncle, Mother…"

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Razer wiped his gun off as he looked at Rayne's body. A smug look was permanently etched on her face, though disbelief clouded her eyes. Blood pooled around her where she'd fallen, but not a trace had gotten on him.

"Long live the Queen," Razer said softly, turning away. "Bitch."

He walked out of the complex, past body after body. If it twitched, he simply shot it and moved along without caring to look back. His mind kept wandering back to his own mansion where his girlfriend waited.

Razer pressed a button on a device as he drove away from the complex and listened to the resounding booms that followed. Yellow and orange filled his mirrors as he drove off into the darkness.

Another target, annihilated.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Razer walked into the mansion and saw Mira sitting on the steps leading up to the bedrooms. Her eyes looked haunted as she looked at him and then she looked away. Razer walked over to her and attempted to touch her, to turn her face towards his, but she moved away from him. His fingers curled in on themselves and his eyes hardened, but were weary.

"You will forgive me in time," Razer told her, moving towards the bar.

Mira lifted her face towards the light and brushed her hair away from her face. A black vine marking traced around her throat and Mira sighed. She stood up, silent and headed up the stairs in silence, knowing that it would take a while for him to notice the change and he would be pissed when he did….but she no longer cared.

She had wanted to be close to him…but possessions couldn't be close…

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
